Abstract

Salah satu indikator mutu keselamatan pasien dirumah sakit adalah ketepatan indetifikasi, khususnya indentifikasi pasien risiko jatuh. Pelaksanaan asesmen pencegahan resiko jatuh yang sesuai dengan standar akan dapat membantu meningkatkan mutu serta akreditasi rumah sakit itu sendiri. Pelaksanan identifikasi risiko pasien jatuh dirumah sakit agar lebih optimal perlu adanya pengawasan salah satunya adalah pengawasan kepala ruangan melalui kegiatan supervise keperawatan. tujuan dari kegiatan pengmas ini untuk mengoptimalkan mekanisme dan pelaksanaan supervisi keperawatan khususnya kegiatan identifikasi resiko jatuh dengan metode humpty dumpty. Metode pelaksanaan Pengabdian masyarakat ini berbasiskan House Trainning yang dilaksanakan di Ruang Madinah (Ruang Rawat Inap Anak) rumah sakit Islam Siti Khadijah Palembang. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dilaksanakan dari tanggal 12 Oktober sampai dengan 24 November 2017, Kegiatannya terdiri dari menyusun panduan, desiminasis ilmu, menyusun SPO, konsultasi pakar, mensosialisasikan panduan, menyusun jadwal, pendampingan pelaksanaa supervisi keperawatan. Kegiatan tersebut direncanakan dalam bentuk POA (planning of Action). Hasil kegiatan pengabdian masayarakat ini didapatkan kegiatanl desiminasi ilmu dari 60 peserta, pengetahuan peserta dari pretest 50% dan meningkat pada postest 85 %. Adanya draf Kebijakan, Standar Prosedur Operasional (SPO) tentang supervisi keperawatan. Adanya lembar absensi dan format supervisi keperawatan. Adanya dokumentasi hasil supervisi yang dilakukan oleh karu Madinah. Kesimpulan: Pelaksanaan supervise keperawatan pada kegiatan identifikasi resiko jatuh dengan metode humpty dumpty dapat dilaksanakan sesuai dengan target luran yaitu peningkatan pengetahuan, aplikasi langsung kegiatan supervise oleh karu dan perawat pelaksana dengan ditandainya terdapatnya dokuemtasi dan berkas kegiatan supervise keperawatan tersebut

Abstract

Discharge planning is a process that begins with the patient receiving health services followed by continuity of care both in the healing process and in maintaining the degree of health until the patient feels ready to return to his environment, and is also an important part of the implementation of nursing care. With the discharge planning can reduce the days / length of patient care, prevent recurrence, improve the patient's health condition and reduce mortality and morbidity. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and the implementation of discharge planning in the inpatient room of Dumai Hospital. The design of this study was cross sectional using the Chi square test. The sample consisted of 96 nurses. The sample technique used is proportional stratified random sampling. The results showed that most of the nurses were not good at discharge planning, namely 72.9%. Most of the nurses' knowledge was not good, namely 89.6%. The results of the analysis test showed that there was no significant relationship between the knowledge factor and the implementation of discharge planning (p = 0.199).

Abstract

Sleep is a basic human need. Poor sleep quality can have an impact on students' health and academic performance. Nursing students at the end of the level transfer program have the risk of poor sleep quality due to the high academic task load coupled with other assignments besides lectures that can take up student break time. One of the factors that affect the quality of sleep is stress, and among students it is called academic stress. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between academic stress and sleep quality in the final year students of a level transfer program. The study was conducted at one of the campuses in the city of Padang using a correlation analytic research design with a cross sectional approach. The sample in this study amounted to 64 students at the end of the level transfer program with the total sampling technique. This research was conducted from October to November 2019. Data was collected using the Pittsburh Sleep Quality Index and Student Academic Stress Scale research instruments. The results of this study indicate that nursing students at the end of the level transfer program experience poor sleep quality with high academic stress. Correlation analysis provides a linear and positive pattern of relationship between academic stress and sleep quality of nursing students at the end of a level tansfer program, with a very strong correlation strength level, which means that the higher the student's academic stress, the worse the quality of sleep.. It is expected that students can manage academic stress with stress management and time management, so as not to have an impact on the quality of student sleep.

Abstract

Interprofessional collaboration (IPC) between nurses and doctors is associated with good outcomes for patients, especially in hospitalizations. Different professional cultures can be a barrier to nurses and doctors in an IPC effective and efficient. Effective IPC is important to ensure patient safety. To analyze how the image of Professional Care Givers is different in implementing IPC at Jambi Special Hospital. The research was cross-sectional, the population were nurses, doctors, pharmacists and nutritionists in Jambi Province Special Hospital 105 samples. Sampling with total sampling. AITCS research instruments that have been modified as needed. Most of the application of IPC to Professional Care Givers in Jambi Province Special Hospital both on the partnership dimension, coordination, shared decision-making is only on the clearest reciprocal differences in the dimension of cooperation which is more than half less good. Conclusion: It is expected that the special hospital of Jambi Province will organize more integrated patient center care, which will have consequences for the implementation of the IPC, especially in terms of perceived cooperation.

Abstract

Stunting adalah kondisi gagal pertumbuhan pada anak balita akibat kekurangan gizi dalam waktu lama terutama pada 1.000 Hari Pertama Kehidupan (HPK), yang disebabkan oleh banyak faktor seperti kondisi sosial ekonomi, gizi ibu saat hamil, kesakitan pada bayi dan kurangnya asupan gizi bayi. Stunting akan mengakibatkan anak mengalami keterlambatan dalam pertumbuhan dan perkembangan otak, beresiko mengidap penyakit metabolik dan degeneratif dikemudian hari. Salah satu program lokal berbasis masyarakat yang mungkin dilakukan adalah pemberian makanan tambahan pada ibu hamil yang merupakan usaha peningkatan gizi pada 1000 hari pertama kehidupan. Salah satu makanan yang sangat tinggi nilai gizi baik protein, lemak dan probiotiknya yang mudah didapatkan di daerah Lintau Buo adalah dadiah. Pemberian makanan tambahan ini tidak efektif bila tidak diikuti dengan pemantauan tumbuh kembang oleh petugas kesehatan. Untuk itu perlu dilakukan peningkatan pengetahuan ibu hamil tentang PMT dan peningkatan pengetahuan petugas tentang pemantauan tumbuh kembang bayi dan anak. Pengabdian berupa penyuluhan tentang pemanfaatan pemberian makanan tambahan berbasis dadiah pada ibu hamil serta pelatihan pemantauan tumbuh kembang pada petugas kesehatan di Nagari tanjung bonai Lintau Buo Utara Kabupaten Tanah datar yang terkenal sebagai penghasil dadiah yang tinggi kandungan bakteri asam laktat. Sasaran Pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah ibu hamil dan petugas kesehatan di wilayah Lintau Buo Utara. Metode pelaksanaan program ini terdiri dari beberapa tahapan yaitu tahap persiapan berupa persiapan izin lokasi, pembuatan modul penyuluhan. Tahap kedua yaitu pelaksanaan penyuluhan atau desiminasi ilmu dan peragaan pemantauan tumbuh kembang bayi dan anak. Tahap ketiga adalah tahap evaluasi terhadap kegiatan yang dilakukan. Dari kegiatan ini memberi nilai tambah pengetahuan ibu hamil dan petugas kesehatan sehingga diharapkan angka kejadian stunting dapat ditekan.

Abstract

The caring behavior is the main basis that underlies the mutual help relationship established between the nurse-patient. This therapeutic relationship is built through therapeutic communication that is practiced to achieve the success of the therapeutic program. However, there are still many nurses who do not apply therapeutic communication in interacting with patients. This activity was aimed to improve nurses' understanding through therapeutic communication training for nurses at a hospital in Padang city. The implementation of this activity used method lecture, discussion, and demonstration. Learning was carried out for 8 hours effectively, before and following learning the measurement of pre-test and post-test knowledge were carried out. The number of participants as many as 20 nurses who served in the unit inpatient care room. Based on paired t-test, the results obtained were differences in the average knowledge of participants about therapeutic communication before and after training (p value = 0,000). The average difference in knowledge scores before and after training was 2.550. The results of this activity showed that learning activities using lecture, discussion, and demonstration methods were proven to increase nurses' knowledge about therapeutic communication. Therefore, it is suggested that this activity can be carried out routinely in order to improve the quality of nursing care for patients through the application of good therapeutic communication by nurses.

Abstract

Currently, Nagari Ganting Mudik South Surantih is still in the category of underdeveloped villages. Three main issues in the nagari will try to be offered for assistance, namely in health, education, and village governance. The activity aims to design a program to assist the nagari to build in Nagari Ganting Mudik South Surantih, Sutera District, South Pesisir Regency. The method of implementing the activity is to hold direct meetings in consultations on a plan for the next three years between the proposer team and the nagari government, such as Walinagari and their apparatus, Bamus, Youth, PKK, and community leaders. The results obtained were that three problem areas were identified as problems in Nagari Ganting Mudik South Surantih, namely the fields of health, education, and village governance. The solutions planned in the health sector are 1) handling malnutrition and stunting, 2) activating family planning villages, 3) increasing community participation in participating/getting health insurance, 4) handling chronic energy deficiency events (KEK) experienced by pregnant women, 5) increase the percentage of people who have proper latrines. Solutions in the field of education are 1) handling children who drop out of school, 2) realizing the community's needs who want to get packages A, B, and C, 3) innovative education in the use of social media. The solutions in nagari governance are 1) training the nagari apparatus that manages the website and completes the data, and improves the appearance of the website, and 2) trains the nagari apparatus in making letters and filing them. This activity concludes that it has been mutually agreed between the service team and partners to carry out activities on the designs that have been prepared together for the next 1-3 years, as evidenced by the signing of cooperation (MoU).

Abstract

Nurses are health workers carrying out actions to provide comprehensive care to patients undergoing hemodialysis. The nurses have an essential role as educators to provide education to patients undergoing hemodialysis that they must carry out. This aims to support patients to be able to carry out good self-management. Education about self-management is part of the management of patients undergoing hemodialysis. The role of nurses is necessary for improving the patient's ability to undertake their treatment and management of the disease. However, based on the observations, the role was conducted by nurses who have not been able to improve patient self-management. This community service activity tried to improve nurses' ability in conducting education to improve patient self-management. The activity was carried out by delivering material related to the role of nurses as educators to improve the self-management of patients undergoing hemodialysis. This activity increased the ability and capacity of nurses to carry out their role as educators to improve the self-management of patients undergoing hemodialysis.

Abstract

An orphanage is a place to live together and in groups to take care of children without their parents. The condition of the densely populated orphanage environment is often associated with personal hygiene problems for its residents. Poor personal hygiene has a physical and psychological impact on children. The application of the Peer Education method by Ambassadors of "Duta Panti Bersih dan Sehat - PANSIHHAT" was carried out as an alternative to accelerate awareness of Clean and Healthy Life Behavior (CHLB) for children in the orphanage environment. Peers can be more effective in providing health education than teachers or parents. This activity aims to form and develop PANSIHHAT Ambassadors who come from the orphanage's children as cadres who provide education to their friends in the orphanage. The implementation stage of the activity included the socialization of activities to the service targets, namely the Al Hidayah Orphanage, the formation and debriefing of PANSIHHAT Ambassadors, implementation and assistance of the Peer Education, and evaluating the effectiveness of the application of the method. CHLB education was attended by 26 children, of which 85% were boys and 15% were girls, most (77%) were in their early teens, and a small portion (15% and 8%) were in the category of early adult and child, respectively. Based on a questionnaire before and after applying the Peer Education method, it was found that there was an increase in children's knowledge and behaviour related to CHLB. However, there was no change in children's attitudes regarding CHLB in the orphanage environment. Orphanage management must continue mentoring and regularly evaluating the PANSIHHAT Ambassador program to maximize children's hygiene and health conditions.

Abstract

Ketidaktepatan dalam pengelolaan stres dapat memunculkan perilaku emotional eating, sebuah kecenderungan makan berlebihan sebagai salah satu bentuk mekanisme koping maladaptif terhadap emosi negatif seperti stres. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran stres dan perilaku emotional eating pada mahasiswa S1 Keperawatan. Penelitian ini merupakan riset kuantitatif menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional. Dilakukan di Fakultas Keperawatan Universitas Andalas, Padang, Sumatera Barat pada bulan Februari s.d Agustus 2022. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 82 orang mahasiswa yang diambil menggunakan teknik Proportional random sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuisioner menggunakan instrumen Eating and appraisal due to Emotions and Stres (EADES) dan Student-Life Stres Inventory (SSI). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hampir separuh (48,8%) mahasiswa memiliki perilaku emotional eating, dan perilaku ini ditemukan pada setengah (50%) mahasiswa dengan tingkat stres berat, pada lebih dari separuh (56,1%) dengan stres sedang, dan pada sebagaian kecil (20%) mahasiswa dengan stres ringan. Diharapkan agar pihak kampus dapat mendampingi mahasiswa dalam mengelola stres selama menjalani pendidikan, agar dapat mengembangkan koping yang lebih adaptif dalam menghadapi stres, dan mencegah/mengatasi perilaku emotional eating yang muncul pada mahasiswa saat stres.
