Abstract

The development process cocoa cultivation is closely associated with the availability of quality seeds. The quality of the seedlings will determine the growth and production of the commodity. Giving trichocompost  TKKS the soil can increase the availability of nutrients both macro and micro. This study aims to determine the effect of the application trichocompost oil palm empty fruit bunches with some frequency of administration and get a dose with a frequency corresponding to the growth of cocoa seedlings (Theobroma cacao L.). This experiments was conducted with non factorial completely randomized design consisting of 6 treatments and three replications. The treatment was P1:trichocompostTKKS dose of 25 g / plant to 1 feedings, P2: trichocompostTKKS dose of 25 g / plant with two feedings, P3: trichocompost TKKS dose of 50 g / plant to 1 feedings, P4: trichocompost TKKS dose of 50 g / plant with two feedings, P5: trichocompostTKKS dose of 75 g / plant to 1 feedings and P6: trichocompost TKKS dose of 75 g / plant with two feedings. The results showed that dose of 75 g / plant TKKS trichocompost at one time significantly affect to the height, number of leaves, stem diameter, leaf area, root volume and dry weight of cocoa seedlings. Keywords : cocoa, trichocompost and frequency

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the concentration of nasa, the interval of giving organic liquid organic fertilizer and get the best treatment on the growth and production of shallot plants.The research has been conducted at Experimental Garden of Agriculture Faculty of Riau University from February to April 2020 using a randomized block design whit two factors and three replications.The first factor is the concentration of (POC) Nasa which consist of three levelsconcentration 3 ml.l-1, 4 ml.l-1 and 5 ml.l-1. The second factor is the time interval which consists of three levels, every 3 days, 5 days, and 7 days.The parameters observed were plant  height, harvest age, number of tubers per clump, tuber diameter, weight of fresh tubers per plot, and weight of tubers that werw fit for storage per plot. Data analysis used variance and continued whith Duncan’s multiple-range test at the 5%. The results showed that the treatment of several concentration of POC Nasa  had a significant effect on tuber diameter and tuber weight per plot. Spraying time interval treatment significantly affected tuber diameter, fresh tuber weight per plot, and weight tuber worth saving per plot. The interaction of POC Nasa and spraying time interval did not have a significant effect on all parameters plant  height, harvest age, number of tubers per clump, tuber diameter, weight of fresh tubers per plot, and weight of tubers that werw fit for storage.Keywords :shallot, concentration POC Nasa, spraying interval.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe research aim to examine the effect of interaction of cow rumen compost with NPK fertilizer and single factor of cow rumen compost, NPK fertilizer and get the best treatment combination in increasing the growth and yield of shallot. The research was conducted at UPT (Unit Pelaksanaan Teknis) of Faculty of Agriculture Universitas Riau from September to November 2018. The research was done in a completely randomized design (CRD) factorial and repeated three times. The first treatment was cow rumen compost that consist of 0 kg per plot, 2 kg per plot, 4 kg per plot and 6 kg per plot. The second factor was NPK fertilizer that consist of           0 g per plot, 30 g per plot and 60 g per plot. The observation parameters were relative growth rate, number of leaves per clump, number of tubers per clump, tuber circumference per clump, plant dry weight on day 50, fresh tuber weight per clump and tuber weight worth keeping per clump. The research data were analyzed using analysis of varriance (ANOVA) and followed by duncan’s new multiple range test (DNMRT) at level 5%. The result of the research showed that the treatment of cow rumen compost 6 kg per plot, NPK fertilizer 60 g per plot and the treatment combination of cow rumen compost 6 kg per plot with NPK fertilizer 60 g per plot were the best treatments in increasing 3,9 ton.ha-1 the growth and yield of shallot.Keywords: shallot, growth, yield, cow rumen compost, NPK fertilizer.

Abstract

The problem in large scale cacao nurseries is the limitated top soil as a planting medium. The use of ultisol as a medium requires improvement with the aim of producing quality cocoa seeds.The study used a non factory completely randomized design (CRD) with 9 treatments of mycorrhizal (g) formulations with coconut water (%): 5 g and 50%, 7,5 g and 50%, 10 g and 50%, 5 g and 75%, 7,5 g and 75%,   10 g and 75%, 5 g and 100%, 7,5 g and 100%, 10 g and 100%. The result showed that the treatment mycorrhizal with coconut water had an effect on seedling height, root volume, and dry weight of cocoa seeds. Mycorrhizal dose of 10 g per polybag with 50% coconut water gave the best cocoa seed yield and could increase number of leaves, seedling weight, root volume and dry weight of cocoa seedlings. Key words:Nursery, Theobroma cacao L., Mycorrhiza, Coconut water, Ultisol

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the residual effects combination of fertilizers Tricho- compost waste corn with rock phosphate, well as getting the best residual for growth and production of sweet corn on peatlands. This research has been conducted in the Village District of Panam Tuah Karya Tampan, Pekanbaru from January to April 2016. This study is a continuation research conducted experiments using a randomized block design (RAK). The treatmeant has been given to research, so the treatmean in the study is composed of residue combination Tricho-compost waste corn with rock phosphate that is: without giving Tricho-compost waste corn with rock phosphate (T0P0), 0 ton/ha and 50 kg/ha (T0P1), 0 ton/ha and 100 kg/ha (T0P2), 0 ton/ha and 150 kg/ha, 5 ton/ha and 0 kg/ha (T1P0), 5 ton/ha and 50 kg/ha T1P1), 5 ton/ha and 100 kg/ha (T1P2), 5 ton/ha and150 kg/ha (T1P3), 10 ton/ha and 0kg/ha (T2P0), 10 ton/ha dan 50 kg/ha (T2P1), 10 ton/ha dan 100 kg/ha (T2P2), and 10 ton/ha and 150 kg/ha (T2P3). Parameters measured were plant height, diameter rod, the time appears the male flowers, the time appears the female flowers, harvesting, corncob weight, the weight of cob without husk, the length of the cob without husk and the biomass. The results showed that the residual effects combination Tricho- compostable waste corn with rock phosphate significantly affected plant height, diameter rod, time appears the male flowers, female flowers appear time, and the biomass plant. Residual effect of combination 10 tons of Tricho-compost waste corn with 150 kg rock phosphate/ha tend to give the best results on the growth and production of sweet corn on peatlands. Keyword : Sweet corn, Tricho-compost waste corn, Rock phosphate, Peat

Abstract

Rendahnya produksifitas  bawang merah di Riau dapat ditingkatkan oleh pemberian perlakuan pupuk guano pada medium tanah, dengan tujuan mendapatkan dosis yangterbaikuntuk peningkatakn daya hasilnya. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan UPT KebunPercobaanFakultasPertanian, Universitas Riau, Pekanbaru pada bulan Februari hingga April 2019. Penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimen rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) yang terdiri dari sembilan perlakuan dan tiga kelompok. Data hasil penelitian di uji lanjut dengan DNMRT pada taraf  5%. Perlakuan yang digunakan adalah dosis pupuk Guano yaitu 0, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 dan 10 ton.ha-1. Parameter yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, jumlah umbi, lilit umbi, berat segar umbi per tanaman, berat segar umbi per plot dan berat umbi layak simpan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pemberian pupuk guano dengan dosis 10 ton.ha-1 mampu memberikan hasil tertinggi yaitu 618,03 g.m-2 atau 5,253 ton.ha-1 umbi layak simpanKata Kunci: Bawang Merah, Guano, Pertumbuhan, Produksi.

Abstract

Onion production which decreased in Riau province affected by the lack of interest and experience of farmers. Riau has extensive peatlands, efforts to increase the productivity of peat soil as crop production land can be done by combining the use of organic such as compost oil palm empty fruit bunches (EFB) and inorganic fertilizers such as manure KCl. This study aimed to determine the effect of the combination of composted manure TKKS with KCl and get a dose of compost TKKS combination with best KCl fertilizer which can improve the growth and yield of onion on the peat medium. The research was conducted in the House Kasa, the Experimental Farm of Agriculture Faculty, University of Riau, in November 2015 until February 2016. The research was conducted experimentall using on completely randomized design (CDR) with 4 treatments and 5 replications. The data were analyzed statistically by analysis of variance and tested further with Duncan's multiple range test at 5% level. The results showed that the administration of various doses of compost TKKS with KCl fertilizer can not increase the plant height parameters, number of tuber per hill and the circumference of the tuber however the good effects toward the tuber weight fresh and the tuber shelf weight per clump on onion crop. Giving compost TKKS with fertilizer KCl at a dose of 150 kg K2O / ha showed the best results because it can increase the tuber weight fresh and the tuber shelf weight per clump. Abstract

This research aims to get the best dosage of coffee rind compost to increase the growth of rubber seedling. This research has been conducted at Experimental Garden of Agriculture Faculty of University of Riau, kampus of Bina Widya km 12,5 Simpang Baru, Tampan, Pekanbaru from March to July 2017. This research was conducted experimentally using factorial randomized design, consisted of 5 treatments and 4 replications. The dosage of coffee rind compost were 0 ton/ha (0 g/polybag), 5 ton/ha (12,5 g/polybag), 10 ton/ha (25 g/polybag), 15 ton/ha (37,5 g/polybag) dan 20 ton/ha (50 g/polybag). The observed parameters in this research were steam length, number of leaves, wide of leaves, steam diameter, fresh weight, volume of root, rootshootratioanddry weight. The result shows that the giving application of coffee rind compost can to increase the growth of rubber seedling. The dosage of coffee rind compost 15 ton/ha (37,5 g/polybag) gave the best response in increasing steam length, number of leaves, fresh weight and dry wight. Keywords: dosage, coffee rind compost, rubber

Abstract

Mini grafting durian was a vegetative propagation to produce superior durian seedlings. The success of mini grafting is determined by the availability of hormones in the seed. Plants that lacking of phytohormone can inhibit the growth of seedlings. Therefore, an attempt was made to fulfill phytohormone by providing BPT. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of BAP and get the best concentration in increase the success and growth of mini grafting durian. This research was conducted experimentally and used a complete random sampling. The sample was taken by randoml as much as two samples each unit experiment. The tasted treatment was the ZPT treatment wich consist BAP, 50 ppm BAP, 100 ppm and 150 ppm. The parameters observed were the percentage of the seedlings growing, shoot growth time, number of shoots, number of leaves, increasing of system diameter, increasing seedling height, fresh weight and dry weight of seedlings. The use of BAP has no effect on the growth of seedlings durian result of mini grafting, but the highest percentage of success rate mini grafting was obtained giving BAP 50 ppm. The growth of mini grafted durian seedlings including the complete amount, the number of leaves, the increase in diameter of the stem, the fresh weight and dry weight of the seeds obtained tendency of the best results in the treatment of 150 ppm. Keywords:    Durian, mini graftting, cytokinin, BAP

Abstract

This research was aimed  to determine the effect of husk ash of rice and composition of fertilizer and its combination to increase growth and production of field rice and determine the best treatment dose of growth and production of field rice in peatland. The research was conducted at the experimental farm of the Agricultural Faculty University of Riau, Rimbo Panjang, Kampar from July to December 2016. The design used in this research are arranged in a Factorial Completely Randomized Block Design (RBD) consiting of two factor with three replication. The first factor are: Aplication of husk ash of rice (S), namely: S1 (2,5 tons/ha), S2 (5 tons/ha), S3 (7,5 tons/ha). and the second factor are: Composition of fertilizer, namely: K1 (Fertilizer Urea 200 kg/ha, TSP 100 kg/ha, KC 100 kg/ha), K2 (Fertilizer Urea 100 kg/ha TSP, 50 kg/ha, KCl 50 kg/ha) with coffee-based compost with chicken manure (3:1), K3 (Fertilizer Urea 100 kg/ha TSP, 50 kg/ha, KCl 50 kg/ha with coffee-based Compost with chicken manure (1:1), and K 4 (Fertilizer Urea 100 kg/ha TSP, 50 kg/ha, KCl 50 kg/ha) with coffee-based with chicken manure (3:1). The data obtained by analysis of variance (ANOVA) was tested further by Duncan’s New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at the level of 5%. The results showed that the combination treatment of rice husk ash 5 ton / ha and the composition of the fertilizer Urea, TSP, KCl (100,50,50 kg / ha) with with coffee-based compost with chicken manure (1: 1) showed better influence for maximum number of tiller, number of panicle / clump, number of grain per panicle, 1000 grain weight and dry weight of 344.52 g / m2 (3.34 ton / ha). The best rice husk ash treatment for upland rice plants is ash rice husk dose 7.5 tons / ha. The best composition of fertilizer and coffee-based compost for the upland rice plant is the composition of fertilizer Urea, TSP, KCl (100,50,50) kg / ha with coffee-based compost with chicken manure (1: 1)Keywords:Rice husk ash, Fertilizer Composition, Coffee-Based Compost with Chicken Manure
