Abstract

Hydroponics wick system using AB Mix in some media of planting is expected capable of generating growth and power results of plant crocheted. The research aims to obtain a variety of planting media and the concentration of the best AB mix nutrients for the growth of kailan plants, conducted at the UPT Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, from April 2019 to May 2019. Research in the form of 3x4 factorial experiment with Complete Random Design.Consists of 3 types of growing medium, huskchorcoal, cocopeat, sawdust while the nutrient solution consists of AB mix concentrations of 1000 ppm, 1200 ppm, 1400 ppm, 1600 ppm. The parameters observed, height plant, number of leaves, length of leaves, width of leaves, long roots, the diameter of the rod, fresh weight per plant, weight suitable for consumption per plant. Planting medium charcoal husk on the concentration of nutrients 1000 ppm resulted in the growth of plants kailan were good. Keywords: Hydroponics, growing medium and Nutrition AB mix

Abstract

Patients with malnutrition mostly were golden age toddlers under 2 years. Based on the survey conducted, it was found toddler of the Posyandu Anggrek 2 experienced malnutrition. The community partnership program provides solutions to improve nutrition, especially for toddlers by utilizing the nutrient-rich Spirullina platensis microalgae as a nutritional supplement in the toddler's diet. The main objective of the community partnership program implemented at Posyandu Anggrek 2 is to provide Spirullina platensis capsule supplements to improve nutrition in under-fives with malnutrition and malnutrition, to increase knowledge of mothers of toddlers about highly nutritious foods, especially Spirullina platensis microalgae to improve nutrition, immunity and health toddlers during the current Covid-19 epidemic. The application of Spirullina platensis cultivation technology which is transferred to housewives who are members of Posyandu Anggrek 2. The success of this program shows that giving Spirullina platensis capsules to 10 toddlers for 6 weeks can increase toddler nutrition as measured based on the WHO standard Anthropometric index. The increase in body weight and height after administration of Spirullina platensis was seen in all toddler, and there was an increase in health and immunity in toddler. It can be concluded that giving Spirullina platensis capsules is beneficial for improving nutritional status and immunity in toddlers.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the teachers’ attitude toward performance of students with learning disabilities in t inclusive school. This research used deskriptive quantitative approach. The instrument used was attitude instrument that was given to 54 students with learning disabilities in Padang. Data collected were analyzed quantitatively and described. The results of data found that teachers’ attitude which measured in three aspects have score 77.93% in understanding the learning result of students with learning disabilities. In affective aspect, teachers’ attitude have scores 80.50% in accepting the learning result of students with learning disabilities. Whereas in conative aspects, teachers’ attitude have score 77.92% in behave towards the learning result of students with learning disabilities.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the problem that there are five deaf people, deaf children experience obstacles in their activities, are not independent and still need help from others. This study aims to prove the effectiveness of Dwiwatch Vider to improve the discipline of time for deaf children. This study used an experimental method with pre-experimental design or often called a quasi experiment with one group pretest-posttest design The results of the study showed that Dwiwatch Vider was effective in increasing the discipline of time for deaf children

Abstract

The aim of this experiment was to determine the effect of some organic mulch application and to find the best type of organic mulch for increase growth and yield of watermelon. This research had been conducted at field of UPT Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, from September to November 2015. The experiment unit arrangd in a randomized block design with four treatment and five replication, so to find 20 plot of experiment. The given treatment is organic mulch application (M) is: M0: without organic mulch, M1: rice husk mulch 6 kg/plot (5 ton/ha), M2: maize stover mulch 6 kg/plot (5 ton/ha), M3: put sawdust mulch 6 kg/plot (5 ton/ha). Parameters observed were plant’s height, ring trunk, flower age, horizontal and vertikal ring, watermelon’s weight and yield. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance and continued with Duncan’s New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at 5% level. The results showed organic mulch application on watermelon did not have any effect plant’s height, ring trunk, flower age, horizontal and vertikal ring, but drastically reduced on increasing of watermelon’s weight and  yield. The rice straw mulch is the best of organic mulch drastically reduced plant’s height, ring trunk, flower age, horizontal and vertikal ring and watermwlon’s weight. Rice straw mulch drastically reduced the yield is 14,32 ton/ha. Keywords : organic mulch, rice husk, maize stover, put sawdust

Abstract

Sugar palm or palm tree (Arenga pinnata Merr) is a plant that produces industrial materials. Propagation of sugar palm plants can be done generatively using seeds. The problem in seed propagation is that it is not known what the best seed size has the potential to accelerate the process of seed germination and obtain quality seeds. This study aims to determine the effect of sugar palm seed weight and determine the best seed weight for sugar palm plant growth and germination.This research was carried out from April 2021 to August 2021 which was arranged according to a completely randomized design with different sizes of palm seeds consisting of four sizes, namely: < 4.0 g, > 4.0 g – 5.5 g, > 5, 5 g – 7.0 g and > 7.0 g. Parameters observed were germination, seed vigor, germination rate, apokol length, apokol diameter, plumule length and plumule diameter. Data were analyzed using variance and further tested using multiple distance test at 5% level. The results showed that the size of the palm seeds had an effect on seed vigor, apokol length and apokol diameter while seed weight had no effect on germination, germination rate, plumule length and plumule diameter at seed size > 5.5 – 7.0 g indicating germination results and the best germination growth in sugar palm plants. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it is expected that when selecting seeds to be used in the germination process and sprout growth using seeds with sizes > 5.5 – 7.0 g.Keywords : palm seeds, seeds weight.
