Abstract

Abstract This type of study is a qualitative study using descriptive analysis and the main instrument is the author of his own with the use of data collection techniques including observation, interviews and literature study and several tools to collect data in the field such as stationery, hp cameras, digital cameras. From the research Use of Audio Visual Media In Learning Locally Songs To Improve Student Motivation In Class VII SMP Negeri 1 Coastal Domains. Instructional media used in SMP Negeri 1 Domains Coastal VII class on learning the art of music, especially the song material is a local area of ​​audio and visual. In the early stages of research looks KLS VII student motivation is very low in the study of local songs. Many things that cause it, such as media selection and learning improper influences from outside. After doing research for 6 sessions in class VII akirnya authors obtain research results. Results illustrate an increase in students' motivation in learning local songs, it is evident from the teaching and learning activities in the classroom such as: students were enthusiastic in watching video song displayed local teachers, students observe local song video shown, students work on assignments per group, the student arranges the songs in a simple local area and per group, students display the results of the local arrangements of folk songs with kreativ and expression very good in front of the class. From the results of the research can be seen increasing students' motivation in learning local songs using audio-visual instructional media.   Kata kunci: Pengunaan, media audi visual, lagu daerah setempat, motivasi.

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of thisd research is examine the perception of the society towards the evening keyboard show (organ tunggal) held at a wedding party. This research was a descriptive qualitative one. The data were collected through  an observasion, interviews, a library based research, photographs, and reconrdings. The result of this research showed that the society in general had a positive perception towards the show including the keyboardist and the party hlder. Tha show is regarded as free and fun entertainment which provides a place for the  youth to garher and a side job for the keyboardist or the singer to do however. Negative perception towards the show was raised among people enganged in religious parties and the society figures. For them, the evening keyboard show is not a goog deed to watch, it is an evil thing indeed. Kata kunci : persepsi, masyarakat, organ tunggal, pernikahan

Abstract

Abstract This article explained about the existence of Kuda Lumping art in Alang Lawas Jorong Parak Lubang Kenagarian Tanjung Gadang Kecamatan Lareh Sago Halaban. The existence of Kuda Lumping art could be seen from the people in Alang Lawas Jorong Parak Lubang who were closely related to Kuda Lumping art especially in the great days celebrations such as in Idul Fitri. For people in Alang Lawas Jorong Parak Lubang, Kuda Lumping art had been deeply rooted and had become their need. Kuda Lumping art told people about a knight riding a horse who was a hero in Javanese Kingdom, and nowadays he was still memorized by Minangkabau people in Alang Lawas Jorong Parak Lubang. This art was still performed in Idul Fitri celebration every year. Furthermore, the existence of Kuda Lumping art could be seen from its functions in society such as for entertaining, integrating the society and for aesthetics presentation. Abstract

Abstract This research was aimed at investigating and describing Gebane in a wedding ceremony. This research was a qualitative one. The findings have explained Gebane as a music art which uses Gebane as a membranophone music instrument to assisst songs of which lyrics found in Bezanggi (Al-Barzanji). Gebane in a wedding ceremony in Kampung Pulau is a kind of music ansambel in Berandam, Khatam Quran, Cecah Inai, Hari Langsung (to carry the brides and grooms to their houses). The songs lyrics are Ushalli and Annal. The elements which are related one another in the form of an art show include the instrument players, costumes, music instruments, time, place, and the audience. Abstract

AbstrakPengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini dimaksudkan untuk memberi keterampilan cara mendendangkan lagu tradisi Minangkabau (dendang) bagi guru dan siswa Sekolah Dasar Negeri 04 Nagari Jaho Kecamatan X Koto Kabupaten Tanah Datar. Pelatihan dilakukan menggunakan metode drill dengan pemanfaatan media audiovisual (video dendang Minangkabau) yang ditampilkan lalu pelatih mendemonstasikan secara langsung di depan peserta dan selanjutnya meminta peserta melaksanakan cara-cara yang telah diperagakan tersebut dengan bimbingan intensif pelatih. Hasil yang diharapkan dengan pelatihan ini secara signifikan hendaknya memperlihatkan keterampilan guru dan siswa dalam mendendangkan lagu tradisi Minangkabau sesuai tata cara yang diberikan. Kegiatan pelatihan dilaksanakan secara bertahap dengan membentuk tiga kelompok dibawah bimbingan satu orang pelatih. Berdasarkan penampilan video dan cara-cara yang didemonstrasikan pelatih diharapkan guru dan murid dapat merasakan irama dendang dan melodi dendang dapat dibawakan sesuai tempo dan dinamik yang tepat. Dari hasil pelatihan ini diharapkan guru dapat mengembangkan materi pembelajaran Kertakes dengan memasukkan materi muatan local seperti dendang Minangkabau di kelas.Kata Kunci: pelatihan, dendang, metode drill.AbstractThis Community Service is intended to provide the Minangkabau traditional song (dendang) skills for teachers and students of Nagari Jaho 04 Primary School District X Koto, Tanah Datar District. The training was conducted using the drill method with the use of audiovisual media (Minangkabau dendang video) that was displayed then the trainer demonstrated it directly in front of the participants and then asked the participants to implement the methods that had been demonstrated with the trainer's intensive guidance. Expected results with this training should significantly demonstrate the skills of teachers and students in singing Minangkabau traditional songs according to the procedures given. The training activities were carried out in stages by forming three groups under the guidance of one trainer. Based on the video performance and the methods demonstrated by the trainer, it is expected that teachers and students can feel the rhythm of the drums and the melody of the drums can be performed according to the right tempo and dynamic. From the results of this training it is hoped that the teacher can develop Kertakes learning materials by including local content such as dendang Minangkabau in the classroom.  Keywords: training, dendang, drill method.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to make a description and a documentation of the manufacturing process from the beginning to the end. A traditional technique that has been integrated in creators’ habit is used in the manufacturing. According to the technique, the manufacturing is done in a workshop by using uncomplicated tools. The descriptive analysis method was apllied in this qualitive research. The main problem was analyzed systematically, factually, accurately, and originally through itemized thinking process of literature reviews, observation, recordings, photographies, an type predetermination, human role as a research instrumen, exploration, interview, and diary note. In the manufacturing, the black clay mixed with husk and red clay is grinded. The main materials are brass or copper (Cu), tin (Sn), and iron (Fe). The manufacturing process is begun by making a talempong lilin (waxed talempong) as a model, bandaging the talempong lilin with the mixed-clay to make a talempong tanah moulder, and foundrying the alloy. Then, the mauder is burned to extract the wax and in sequence the alloy is poured in. Finally, the moulder is destroyed and talempong is produced. After cleansing, flattening, filing, grinding, and polishing, talempong is ready to purchase. The are three kinds of talempong in size: (1) big; (2) medium; and (3) small. Talempong is fitted in a traditional way by stroking the outside part to fit up the tone or stroking the inside part to fit down the tone. Keyword: instrument music; talempong, minangkabau

Abstract

Dikia Rabano as one of traditional arts of Minangkabau, is still used dominantly by the society in a ritual parade of bride and bridegroom of wedding celebration. The function of Dikia Rabano is as (1) entertainment and performance for the society that watch it, (2) a musical communication tool, and (3) emotional expression of the performants and their audience.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the existence of Alu Katentong art in Padang Laweh Sub-district, Tanah Datar Regency. This type of research is qualitative research with the intention of understanding the phenomenon holistically. This study also uses a descriptive analysis method which intends to provide the variables under study in accordance with the actual situation. The object of this research is Alu Katentong art. The information obtained about the object of research is emphasized on the words and pictures which are carried out in stages. The instrument in this study is the researcher herself, equipped with supporting tools to support the completeness of the data obtained in the field. In this study, data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature study. The data analysis used is by way of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the art of Alu Katentong still exists today. The art of Alu Katentong can be seen in the procession of the wedding ceremony which is held at the residence of the bride. This art has its own charm because it is played by women using a Alu as the main instrument. In the Alu Katentong art performance there are elements of supporting the presentation, namely 1) players, 2) instruments, 3) songs, 4) costumes and make-up, 5) time and place of performance, 6) audiences.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan musik talempong pacik dalam prosesi arak-arakan penganten dalam masyarakat nagari Jaho. Metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif analisis. Tahap pertama pelaksanaan penelitian dilakukan dengan mengamati pertunjukan musik talempong pacik pada upacara pesta perkawinan saat berlangsungnya prosesi arak-arakan pengantin yang mengunakan satu set talempong pacik sebagai musik pengiring pada saat arak-arakan. Hasil analisis bahwa musik talempong pacik dalam arak-arakan di jalan raya mau menuju rumah penganten wanita adalah berfungsi sebagai sarana komunikasi, hiburan, sajian estetik dan sebagai pengintegrasian masyarakat. Dengan hadirnya musik talempong pacik ini, sekaligus juga akan menambah merianya acara prosesi arak-arakan penganten. Talempong pacik tetap mempunyai peranan yang penting dan tetap eksis di tengah-tengah masyarakat, serta masih digunakan dalam rutinitas ritual masyarakat setempat.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the existence seen from the use and function of the Gandang Lasuang art at a wedding ceremony in Jorong Pasa Lamo, Sasak Ranah Pasisia District, West Pasaman Regency. This research uses qualitative approach. The research conducted in Jorong Pasa Lamo. The results of the study show that the existence of the Gandang Lasuang has indeed experienced various advances from year to year. Judging from its use where this art was formerly only used as a medium for entertaining the community when pounding rice, but now it has been used as a traditional crowd event in the community who is holding wedding ceremonies and other uses as well as a welcoming ceremony or other artistic performances both in the nagari. or outside the area. Jenis penelitian menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di Jorong Pasa Lamo. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa eksistensi kesenian Gandang Lasuang ini memang mengalami berbagai kemajuan dari tahun ke tahun. Dilihat dari penggunaannya, kesenian ini dahulunya hanya dijadikan sebagai media penghibur bagi masyarakat pada saat menumbuk padi, tapi sekarang sudah digunakan sebagai acara keramaian adat serta dalam melangsungkan upacara pesta perkawinan. Penggunaan lainnya juga sebagai pengisi acara penyambutan atau penampilan kesenian lainnya baik dalam nagari maupun keluar daerah. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat dilihat beberapa berupa Kesenian Gandang Lasuang sebagai sarana hiburan, komunikasi, fungsi pelestarian budaya dan fungsi pengintegrasian masyarakat.Kata Kunci: eksistensi, fungsi, kesenian; Gandang Lasuang; Pasaman Barat
