Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research was to describe and find the Techniques of playing Pupuik Batang Padi. This research was conducted by using descriptive qualitative method.The research found the Technique of playing Pupuik Batang Padi performed by Rajo Bonsu Azwir.In this technique, the air was inhealed through the nose and would produced continuos sound when Pupuik Batang Padi was blown. Furthermore, in playing the melody, the higher the instrument blown, the lowder the sound produced. And the Three level of Direction were made of resonators.   Kata kunci:  Pupuik Batang Padi, Rajo Bonsu Azwir.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The main instrument in this study was the researcher itself and was assisted by supporting instruments such as writing instrument and camera. The data were collected through interviews, literature study, and documentation. The data analysis was conducted by identifying the data, classifying the data, describing the data, and making conclusions. The results show that the learning process for the musical ensemble at SMP Negeri 29 Padang consists of group division, coinciding, selection of musical instruments, and learning of each music / instrument. The music ensemble learning activities are divided into three stages: preparation, practice / process, and evaluation. In the preparation stage, the teacher prepares the teaching document and  subject matter while the students prepare musical instruments. In the practice / process stage, the teacher gives apperception in reminding about the meaning of musical ensembles and types of musical instruments, introducing songs to be played, and providing musical scores as well as techniques for playing recorder and pianica. In the evaluation stage, the teacher assesses, reviews, and sees the success and development of students towards learning.

Abstract

AbstractThis article aims to describe the implementation of extracurricular choirs in SMK N 2 field. The cornerstone of the theory used in this study are: (1) implementation of extra-curricular activities choir. This research is qualitative research with the descriptive approach. This research was conducted in the field — 2. Data obtained from the results of the observation/observation and interview at SMK N 2 field. Research instrument is the researchers themselves as supporting instruments namely observation, notebooks and stationery, photo camera/mobile phone, and notes about the extracurricular choirs. Research results explain that through extra-curricular activities choir students are able to develop their talents and interests they have, because of the extracurricular activities is one of the extracurricular activities of the first chorus time held at SMK N 2 field. The implementation of extracurricular activities carried out on Fridays and Saturdays 13:40 exercise was carried out after hours of instruction completed this exercise is divided into two schedules latihanya it penggulangan exercise and workout staple material. Keywords: Implementation, Extracurricular, Chorus

Abstract

Abstract   This research aimed at describing the learning of musical notations through drilling, in the Art and Culture subject at SMP Negeri I Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. The learning of musical notations was not fully enjoyed by the students. They assumed that this learning material was difficult to understand and not really important for them. In fact, this learning material improved their ability when they later had musical, vocal. and instrumental practices. The teacher then found some solutions to solve this problem: I) explaining the form and the value of notes to the students such as about the symbol and the duration of full notes, half notes, quarter notes, and eighth notes: 2) explaining and providing examples or beats to the students such as quarter beats or eighth heats: 3) explaining the relationship of time signature (in meters) and heats such as second, third. and fourth meter: 4) explaining the differences of low and up beats and providing examples on how to read the first, second, third, and fourth notes: 5) explaining, and providing examples of units or groups of note: 6) providing examples of' rhythm patterns from the song that was taught to the students as welI as providing examples of rhythm patterns for each phrase of the song.   Keywords: Learning, Musical Notations, the Drilling Method

Abstract

 Abstract This article aims to describe the implementation of Extracurricular Ensambel Music tradition in SMP Negeri 7 Muaro Sijunjung. This study uses qualitative methods with the descriptive approach. Research instrument this is penelitia own and assisted researchers with supporting instruments such as stationery, camera and tape rekorder. Data were collected by means of field observations, interviews, documentation, and support the process of photoshoot for research. Data analysis was done by collecting primary data and secondary data. The results showed that extracurricular activities most traditions of music in SMP Negeri 7 Muaro Sijunjung. Basic exercises on the implementation of music traditions including exercise melody talempong, basic exercises accompanist talempong, companion or basic exercises, basic exercises gandang tambua, gandang katindik basic exercises and basic exercises Bansi. Factors restricting extracurricular music tradition is far, far less adequate transport, and monitoring facilities are lacking, while supporting factor is the support from parents, principals, teachers, the child's interest to follow extracurricular music tradition is very high, and motivation. Keywords: implementation, Ensambel Music tradition, Extracurricular

Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of theater talent manifestation activities through pantomime extracurricular at SD Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP, Universitas Negeri Padang, West Sumatra. This is a qualitative research using descriptive analysis method. The main instrument used was the researcher itself and was assisted by supporting instruments such as writing instruments and cellphone cameras. The data were collected through observation, interviews, literature study, and documentation. The data were analyzed by separating primary and secondary data. Then, the contents were grouped and arranged systematically, and finally conclusions were made.The results show that the pantomime extracurricular activities conducted are routinely carried out with the aim of doing performance activities such as in monthly agenda, farewell party, and pantomime competitions. The process of implementing pantomime extracurricular activities begins with various preparation for training sites, materials, and program implementation. Pantomime extracurricular material begins by grouping students into 3 groups: high class group, low class group, and non-active group. Then, it is continued by introducing pantomime in general as well as some examples performed by the trainer. The methods used by the trainer are lecture, question and answer, peer tutoring, and demonstration.

Abstract

ABSTRAK   The research aims to describe the implementation of activity-Drum Band and the factors inhibiting the implementation of activity-Extra Drum Band at SMP 4 South Solok. This research is descriptive qualitative research. Object of study is the students of SMP 4 South Solok who participate in extracurricular activities Drum-Band. Instruments used in this study are: Primary instrument is the researcher himself as an observer (observer), participants (actors) played a role in the insider position directly in the object under study and instrument supporting documentation in the form of results from field data recording device in the form of observations, interviews and lists camera. The results describe that in terms of the location of the school and the history of the founding of the school began to get positive response from the entire community for the betterment of education for children in the future and the community with the local administration has clearly played a role in keeping the presence of schools, either directly or indirectly directly. From the research described there are two factors that affect the: factors supporting and inhibiting factors. Limiting factor is not as decisive as the contributing factors. Seen in the field supporting the dominant factor affecting the implementation of the so-Band Drum extracurricular activities can be carried out effectively and efficiently.   Keywords: Extracurricular Drum Band in SMP-4 South Solok

Abstract

This writing aims to reveal about preservation as the cultural heritage of the Nagari Simpang Tonang community. The research in this thesis uses a qualitative method approach, in the form of qualitative descriptive. The results of the study are describing cultural phenomena regarding the preservation of Ronggeng Nagari Simpang Tonang arts. Data collection is done by direct observation techniques, with the approach of observation, interviews, recording and recording and using documentation and literature study. The preservation of Ronggeng's art now depends on the willingness, effort and efforts of local artists. It means that the life and death of Ronggeng art lies in the hands of artists. Local artists are the only people who are responsible and responsible today for the preservation of Ronggeng art. Whereas the public only wants to be a loyal audience. If the number of artists decreases and at one time all of them are no longer physically able to activate or they have died, it can be predicted Ronggeng art will be extinct in Nagari Simpang Tonang. Therefore, Ronggeng's art today is very dependent on the efforts and efforts of artists in their activitiesboth formally and informally.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the learning facilities and infrastructure in the field of arts and culture, describe the students’ achievements of participants studying art and culture, and analyze the influence of learning facilities and infrastructure of art and culture on student learning outcomes at 8th Grade Level of SMP Negeri 4 Kota Pariaman. This type of research was qualitative research using descriptive methods. The object of this study was students of 8th Grade Level of SMP Negeri 4 Kota Pariaman who took part in learning vocal techniques. Techniques of data collection were carried out employing literature study, observation, interviews and documentation studies. Techniques of data analysis were through the process of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and concluding.The results of the study found that the availability of facilities and infrastructure for learning arts and culture in SMP Negeri 4 Pariaman is still incomplete so that in the learning process, especially when practicing with cultural arts equipment, not all students can have practice experience. The allocation of funds from schools for the completeness of cultural arts learning facilities and infrastructure is still low so that the school approves not all planning for the provision of cultural arts learning infrastructure facilities. Student learning outcomes in arts and culture subjects have not reached the expected target because there are still many students who score below the KKM. To overcome the constraints in the limited availability of facilities and infrastructure for learning arts and culture, teachers have sought to improve the active role of students in adding insight by accessing internet media and also adding additional learning hours to anticipate the limitations of practice time due to inadequate cultural arts equipment available.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the values ​​of education contained in the presentation of the song in the show Kids Balam Rabab Pasisie art. The study was conducted with a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Object of study is the son Balam song presented in the show Rabab Pasisie. Research instrument is the researcher himself as a key instrument and data collection techniques using observation, interviews, documentation and literature. Data analysis was performed with an ethnographic approach. This study found that children Balam song in the show Rabab Pasisie, currently in demand by the public Kambang nagari, because both humanitarian messages regarding the relationship between mother and child, the universe and man's relationship with man. Through the presentation of the song Child Balam, the values ​​can be interpreted to be educational for the community pembelajran Kambang, such as the values ​​of brotherhood, the values ​​of love between mother and child, the values ​​of the forces of nature, both the power of the supernatural and the real force of nature. Through the presentation of the song Child Balam, Kambang nagari society, can be guided by these values ​​either through actions or attitudes and behavior in everyday life.
