Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study was conducted on February-March 2020 at the Fish Hatchery and Breeding Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, University of Riau, Pekanbaru. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of immersion eggs with different doses of vitamin C on hatchability, growth, and survival of gouramy larvae. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 3 replications. Different doses used on this study were;C0 (0 mg / L), C50 (50 mg / L), C100 (100 mg / L), C150 (150 mg / L) and C200 (200 mg / L). Immersion of gouramy egss with vitamin C for 3 hours with density 150 eggs and water volume 5 L.The results showed that different dose of vitamin C solution had a significant effect (P <0.05) on fertilization rate (98.22%) and hatching rate (94.81%).The best dose of vitamin C to increase the fertilization rate and hatching rate was 200 mg/L.The quality of water during the study were temperature 26.3-28.2 ºC, pH of immersion water 5.5-5.8, pH of hatching water 5.9-6.3, pH of larvae maintenance water 5.7-6.5 and DO 6.0-6.6 mg/L.Keywords : Gouramy Fish,Vitamin C,Fertilization rate, Hatching rate,

Abstract

ABSTRACT  This research was conducted on October9, 2020 - November 28, 2020, at Fish Hatchery and Breeding Laboratory of Fishery and Marine Science Faculty of Riau University. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of Recombinant Growth Hormone (rGH) and the optimal dose and immersion duration on growth and survival rate of tambaqui larvae (Colossoma macropomum). The method used  was a Completely Randomized Design Factorial with 2 factors. The first factor was  the dose of rGH with 3 levels;  0 mg/L (D0), 1.5 mg/L (D1,5) and 2.5 mg/L (D2,5). The second factor was the immersion duration with three levels of 30 minutes (W30), 60 minutes (W60) and 90 minutes (W90) respectively. The larvae were cultured preserved in aquarium for 40 days with 2 fish/L density. The results showed that the use of different doses and  immersion duration of rGH effected  on absolute weight, absolute length, specific growth and survival rate of river catfish larvae. Treatment dose 1.5 mg /L and 60 minutes (D1,5W60) with the result of absolute weight growth of 2.88 grams, absolute length 4.87 cm, specific growth rate of 18.45 % and survival rate of 91.10 %. The water quality parameters during the study were optimal for river catfish larvae with temperature 26.7-27.9 oC, pH 5.9-6.9 and dissolved oxygen 6.3-7.3 mg/L. Keywords : Doses, Immersion Duration, Recombinant Growth Hormone, Colossoma macropomum.

Abstract

AbstractThe research was conducted from August to September 2020 at the Waste Treatment Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, Riau University. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving organic fertilizer as a result fermented of rice washing water on the culture of Clorella sp. and determine the best dosage of organic fertilizer from fermented rice washing water in the culture of Clorella sp. The research design was an experimental model using a completely randomized design with one factorial pattern (CRD) with 1 factor, 4 treatment and 3 replications. The treatment  used was AB0: 1 ml / L walne fertilizer (control), AB2: 2 ml / L rice washing water fertilizer, AB4: 4 ml / L rice washing water fertilizer, AB6: 6 ml / L rice washing water fertilizer. Cultivation wascarried out for 14 days. The results showed thatthe application of washing water fertilizer rice with different doses had an effect on population density and growth rate in cultures of Chlorella sp. The application of washing rice water fertilizer with a dose of 4 ml / L of water gave the best results with a maximum density of 600 x 104 cells / ml and a specific growth rate of 0.256 / day and the highest population peak on day 8. The results of water quality measurements during the study obtained temperatures of 28-31 0C, pH 7.3- 8.1, and DO 4-5 mg / L. Keywords: Clorella sp., Rice washing water, population density, growth rate

Abstract

ABSTRACT  This research was conducted on November-December 2020at Fish Hatchery and Breeding Laboratory of Fishery and Marine Science Faculty of Riau University. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of combining different doses of ovaprim and oxytocin on the ovulation stimulation and the quality of egg Lelan and to know the best combination of ovaprim dose and oxytocin for ovulation and quality of egg Lelan. The Method used is an experimens method using a complete randomized design with four treatments and three repetitions. The treatments used was P0 (100% vaprim), P1 ((75% Ovaprim + (25% Oxytosin x Results 75% ovaprim)), P2 ((50% Ovaprim + (50% Oxytosinx Results 50% ovaprim)), and P3 ((25% Ovaprim + (75% Oxytosin x Results 25% ovaprim)). The results showed that giving ((50% Ovaprim + (50% Oxytosin x Results 50% ovaprim)) body weight gave the best result with the latent time obtained (7.12 hours), total eggs stripping (184 eggs/gr broodstock), value of ovisomaic index (11,75 %), eggs diameter increment (0,11mm), egg maturity increment(14,33 %) and fertilization (19,19 %). The water quality parameters with temperature 25-280C, pH 5-7 and dissolved oxygen 3,77-5,2 ppm. Keywords : Ovaprim dose, oxytocin dose, ovulation and egg quality, Osteochilus pleurotaenia Blkr
