Abstract

The main purpose of this study is to describe the errors and causes of student errors in solving math story problems with a two-variable linear equation system based on the Newman procedure. This type of research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach which was carried out at SMP Negeri 3 Salomekko. The subjects of this study consisted of 3 people who were taken each 1 student with low ability, medium ability and high ability. Data collection techniques used test and interview methods, and instrument validation was carried out with 2 expert validation stages. Technical data analysis using descriptive analysis and qualitative data analysis starting from data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. From the results of the study, it was concluded that high-ability subjects made misunderstandings and errors in writing the final answer. Subjects who are capable of making transformation errors, process skill errors and writing errors in the final answer. Low-ability subjects made reading errors, understanding errors, transformation errors, process skills errors and writing errors in the final answer. The causes of student errors are 1) reading errors are caused by haste and confusion in interpreting the meaning of the word. 2) misunderstandings are caused by lack of knowledge in interpreting the meaning of words and forgetting. 3) the transformation error is caused by not understanding the problem and being confused about working on the problem. 4) process skill errors are caused by lack of thoroughness and haste. 5) the error in writing the final answer is caused by lack of thoroughness, haste, and did not find the final result.  Keyword: Student errors, Solving math story problems, Newman procedure

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the ability to solve mathematical problems in terms of the learning interest of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 18 Selayar Islands. The type of research used is descriptive-qualitative. The research subjects consisted of 3 students of class VIII B SMP Negeri 18 Selayar Islands which consisted of 1 student with high learning interest, 1 student with moderate learning interest, and 1 student with low learning interest. Data collection techniques used were questionnaires, mathematical problem solving ability tests, and interviews. The questions used to measure mathematical problem solving skills are in the form of essay questions totaling 2 numbers with a system of two-variable linear equations. The results of tests and interviews were analyzed based on indicators of mathematical problem solving ability, namely understanding problems, planning solutions, solving problems according to plan, and re-examining procedures and settlement results. good, at the stage of solving the problem according to the plan the subject is able to solve the problem well, and is able to re-examine the answer. returning to the procedure and the results of the completion of the subject did not re-examine the answer. Subjects with low learning interest understood the problem well, but were at the stage of planning the solution, solving the problem according to plan, and re-examining the procedure and the results of the investigation. settlement has not been fulfilled.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the application of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning on the mathematics learning outcomes of students in class VIII SMP Muhammadiyah Limbung. This type of research is pre-experimental with the research design used is One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample in this study was class VIII.1 with a total of 30 students. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling. The instruments used to collect data were student mathematics learning outcomes tests (pretest and posttest), student activity observation sheets, and student response questionnaires. The data analysis of this research is descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. Based on the results of research and discussion, it is concluded that: (1) The students' mathematics learning outcomes have increased with the average score of students' mathematics learning outcomes after the application is 84.33 and the results of the n-gain test are  obtained  or so that the n-gain value is more than 0.3. (2) The average percentage of student activity is 82.65%, so student activity reaches the active criteria and (3) Student responses are positive where the average percentage is 83.11%. Thus, the application of the Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) cooperative learning has an effect on the mathematics learning outcomes of students in class VIII SMP Muhammadiyah Limbung.

Abstract

Learning style is a vital component in improving the quality of learning in physics classes. This study identified the learning styles of pharmacy students in learning physics based on Felder Silverman's Learning Style Index (ILS) through a survey of first-year students. ILS Felder Silverman determines the 4 dimensions of learning style preferences, namely processing (active-reflective), perception (sensing-intuitive), input (visual-verbal), and understanding (sequential-global). Questionnaires were distributed using Google Forms in more than three weeks. The collected data were analyzed descriptively quantitatively through the ILS scoring sheet. The results showed that the preference for Active, Sensing, Visual, and Sequential (ASViS) learning styles was owned by pharmacy students in learning physics. ASViS is dominant at a balanced level, successively: Active (39.27%), Sensing (31.94%), Visual (35.08%) and Sequential (44.50%). The implications of this study illustrate the learning of lecturers in physics classes who should apply various methods by actively involving students through experiments, project-based learning and discussions and occasionally reflect in explaining material. Abstract

Sejak diberlakukannya Kurikulum 2013, guru seyogyanya menggunakan konsep Student Centre Learning (SCL) dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Namun sampai saat diberlakukan kurikulum merdeka, guru masih mengeluhkan beberapa kendala dalam mengimplementasikan konsep SCL. Oleh karena itu, untuk memberi solusi terhadap permasalahan tersebut sehingga dilakukan kegiatan pelatihan implementasi SCL. Kegiatan ini bertujuan: 1) Memetakan kompetensi guru; 2) Mengembangkan alur peningkatan kompetensi guru; dan 3) Mendeskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam mengimplementasikan SCL. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan melalui kolaborasi dengan MGMP Kabupaten Maros dengan melibatkan 25 guru SMP. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dalam bentuk lokakarya dengan metode problem based learning, collaborative learning, inquiry, scientific, dan pembelajaran diferensiasi. Hasil kegiatan menyimpulkan: 1. Kompetensi awal guru masih sangat rendah, yaitu: (a) Kemampuan mengimplemenasikan SCL masih dominan pada level berkembang dan layak sebesar 80%, (b) kemampuan mengembangkan lingkungan kelas yang nyaman dan aman 45%; level berkembang dan layak dan 55% berada pada level cakap dan mahir, (c) kemampuan menyusun desain, melaksanakan, dan merefleksikan pembelajaran efektif pada kategori baik yaitu 46% yang berada pada level berkembang dan layak dan 54% pada level cakap dan mahir, (d) kemampuan melaksanakan asesmen, memberi umpan balik dan menyampaikan laporan kategori baik yaitu 46% yang berada pada level berkembang dan layak dan 54% pada level cakap dan mahir; 2. Alur peningkatan kompetensi guru yang efektif adalah: (a) melaksakan asesmen awal, (b) mengidentifikasi aspek kompetensi dan indikator berdasarkan level berkembang, layak, cakap, dan mahir, (c) menganalisis aspek kompetensi yang perlu ditingkatkan, (d) menentukan bentuk pendampingan, (e) memberikan pendampingan, (f) menerapkan dan melakukan praktik baik dalam kegiatan pembelajaran, (7) melaksanakan refleksi dan rencana tindak lanjut; dan 3). Kompetensi guru telah mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan setelah dilakukan pendampingan dan lokakrya, yaitu: (a) kemampuan mengimplemenasikan metode belajar pendekatan SCL meningkat menjadi 80% guru pada level cakap dan mahir, (b) kemampuan mengembangkan lingkungan kelas yang nyaman dan aman mencapai 68% pada level cakap dan mahir, (c) kemampuan menyusun desain, melaksanakan, dan merefleksikan pembelajaran efektif meningkat menjadi 65% berada pada level cakap dan mahir, (d) kemampuan melaksanakan asesmen, memberi umpan balik dan menyampaikan laporan juga sudah meningkat menjadi 75% berada pada level cakap dan mahir.

Abstract

The aims of this study are to: 1) describe the implementation of the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) in realizing Good University Governance (GUG), and 2) describe the influence of SPMI on GUG. This research was a mixed method with the design used explanatory research design. The population of this research were the lecturers of the Faculty of Economics and Business with 75 persons where the key informants namely lecturer representatives, and heads of study programs/faculty. Collecting data through questionnaires and interviews which were then processed by simple regression analysis and qualitative data obtained by reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research study concluded that; 1) The implementation of SPMI in realizing GUG is carried out in the following the applicable standards included the evaluation which  carried out in the form of an internal quality audit to determine the fulfillment of the National Higher Education Standards 2) The coefficient of influence of the application of SPMI on GUG is 0.539 with p value = 0.000 <0.05. This shows that SPMI has a significant positive influence  on GuG with 56.3%. This can be stated that the better the implementation of SPMI, the realization of GUG in the Faculty of Economics and Business is better.

Abstract

SMPN 6 Tana Tidung Kab. Tana Tidung Prov. Kalimantan Utara adalah mitra kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini menghadapi bebarapa masalah dalam manajemen pengelolaan pembelajaran dan penilaian pembelajaran. Setelah dilakukan didentifikasi permasalah yang dihadapi mitra diuraikan sebagai berikut: pengelolaan absensi pembelajaran yang masih bersifat konvensional, pengolahan nilai pembelajaran masih dilakukan secara manual, serta pengelolaan manajemen pembelajaran masih dilakukan secara konvensional. Oleh karena itu untuk mewujudkan efektiifitas pembelajaran disekolah tersebut sehingga perlu dikembangkan suatu sistem informasi manajemen pembelajaran yang dapat membantu guru dalam pengelolahan administrasi pembelajaran seperti absensi siswa, dan penolahan nilai. Gambaran Ipteks berupa: Sistem Informasi Manajemen Pembelaran Berbasis WEB dengan menu absensi, pengolahan materi pembelajaran, dan pengolahan penilaian pembelajaran baik penilaian harian, penilaian mingguan, nilai UTS dan nilai UAS. Produk utama dari PKM ini adalah 1) Pengembangan Sistem Informasi Manajemen Pembelaran Berbasis WEB di SMPN 6 Tana Tidung Kab. Tana Tidung Prov. Kalimantan Utara; 2) Pemanfaatan Sistem Informasi Manajemen Pembelaran Berbasis WEB untuk membantu guru dalam pengelolahan pembelajaran dan pengelolaan nilai. Hasil kegiatan ini menghasilkan luaran aplikasi manajemen pembelaran berbasis WEB dengan menu pilihan terdiri atas dashboard, manajemen guru, manajemen siswa, manajemen kelas, mata pelajaran, manajemen quis, materi pelajaran, dan berita pendukung.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to increase the activity of class XI IPS students in sociology, at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Unismuh Makassar. The research method used is classroom action research (CAR). Classroom Action Research is a research activity by examining a learning activity that is given action, which is deliberately raised in a class, which aims to solve problems or improve the quality of learning in class. The cycle used in this study consists of cycle 1 and cycle 2. Each cycle consists of four stages of activity, namely planning, action, observation/evaluation, and reflection. This research was conducted at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Unismuh Makassar. This research was conducted for 2 months starting from February 28 to May 1 in the 2022/2023 school year, according to the 2013 curriculum at Muhammadiyah 1 High School Unismuh Makassar. The subjects in this study were 28 students of class XI IPS, consisting of 14 male students and 14 female students. Determining the subject of this study was based on the results of the researchers' initial observations and interviews with teachers in the field of Sociology SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Unismuh Makassar, while technical data analysis used descriptive qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques using achievement criteria. The results of the research from the 1st meeting of the 2nd students were only 5 (46.46%) active people, this can be seen from the results of the teacher's observations in class. The 2nd meeting of students who were active in group discussions were 8 (73.73%) students. In the first cycle of the 1st and 2nd meetings, the average 60.23% was active, and the second cycle - an average of 88.04% with an increase of 27.91% was included in the high category. It can be concluded that after applying the group discussion learning model it can increase the activity of students in class.

Abstract

The Effect of Guided Discovery Learning on the Mathematics Learning Outcomes of Class IV Students of SD Inpres Bontomanai, Makassar City. Thesis. This study aims to describe the effect of guided discovery learning on the mathematics learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SD Inpres Bontomanai, Makassar City. This type of research is a quasi-experimental design research that aims to determine the effect of applying the guided discovery learning model to the mathematics learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SD Inpres Bontomanai, Makassar City. The sample in this study were 24 students from the experimental class and 27 students from the control class. Data collection techniques were carried out using learning outcomes tests in the form of pretest and posttest. Data analysis techniques in this study are descriptive data analysis techniques and inferential data analysis.The results showed that there was an increase in the learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SD Inpres Bontomanai with the application of the guided discovery learning model. This can be proven based on the results of the Independent-Samples T Test results obtained by the value of Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.00, because Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) < 0.05 then Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected so it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the experimental class and the control class before learning where the control class has an average value of 87.50 much higher than the control class with the average value is 67.96. So it can be concluded that there is an influence of the guided discovery learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SD Inpres Bontomanai Makassar City
