Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of the application of the guided inquiry learning model assisted by concept maps on the scientific literacy of junior high school students in the city of Mataram. The research was conducted through a pretest-posttest design with a non-randomized control group. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. The sample of 90 students was divided into three classes, where the first-class applied guided inquiry learning assisted by concept maps, the second class applied inquiry learning without the help of concept maps, and the third class applied conventional learning. All classes were given a pretest and posttest scientific literacy. Data in the form of pretest and posttest scores were analyzed by Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and continued with the Least Significance Difference (LSD) test at 5% alpha. The results showed that the mean score of students' scientific literacy in the class that applied the guided inquiry learning model assisted by concept maps was significantly higher than the mean score of the conventional class. The conclusion is that there is an effect of the implementation of the inquiry learning model assisted by the concept map method on students' scientific literacy

Abstract

Pembelajaran konteks dengan melakukan peran operator crane dalam memperagakan command berupa aba aba symbol dapat membentuk kemampuan secara kognitif, afektif dan psikomotorik dalam hal Stevedoring. Praktik kemampuan dalam memimpin yang dilakukan di Crane and Holds Model milik STIMARYO dilakukan oleh taruna Studi Nautika dalam pembelajaran single swinging derrick. Adapun tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah sebagai evaluasi pembelajaran dalam mencapai kompetensi operasional crane dengan capaian Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal 75. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Metode pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam pencapaian indikator kompetensi operator crane yaitu dengan praktik atau atau role play dengan studi kasus. Dengan menggunakan metode role play atau bermain peran yang dipersiapkan oleh dosen atau instruktur berupa skenario pembelajaran yang dilakukan secara berkelompok. Dalam pelaksanaan skenario pembelajaran ini memiliki indikator berupa ketercapaian kompetensi serta kemampuan command bagi taruna tingkat II semester tiga pada prodi Studi Nautika Sekolah Tinggi Maritim Yogyakarta di media Crane and Holds milik Sekolah Tinggi Maritim Yogyakarta. Hasil yang dicapai terbentuknya kompetensi Taruna dalam kemampuan command dibidang pelayaran khususnya Prodi Studi Nautika.

Abstract

ABSTRAKIndonesia memiliki banyak jenis tanaman terutama jenis tanaman buah-buahan, tetapi terdapat kendaladalam produksi buah-buahan karena serangan hama atau organisme pengganggu tumbuhan (OPT)seperti lalat buah Bactrocera. Berbagai cara dilakukan untuk menangani serangan lalat buah sepertipenggunaan atraktan dari tumbuhan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh minyakKayu Putih (Malaleuca leucadendron L.) dan minyak Serei (Cymbopogon nardus L.) sertacampurannya terhadap tangkapan lalat buah. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian eksperimen. Data yangdiperoleh dianalisis menggunakan uji Varians satu arah pada taraf nyata 5 %. Hasil analisis datamenunjukkan Fhitung> Ftabel artinya, pemberian minyak kayu putih (Malaleuca leucadendron L.) danminyak Serei (Cymbopogon nardus L.) serta campurannya berpengaruh terhadap tangkapan lalat buah,dan dilanjutkan dengan Uji Tukey pada taraf nyata 0,05% untuk melihat perbedaan pengaruh masingmasingperlakuan, Hasil analisis disimpulkan bahwa pemberian minyak kayu putih(Malaleucaleucadendron L) dan minyak serei (Cymbopogon nardus L.) serta campurannyaberpengaruh terhadap tangkapan lalat buah.Kata-kata Kunci : Kayu Putih (Melaleuca leucodendron L.), Serei (Cymbopogon nardus L.),Atraktan, Lalat Buah, BactroceraABSTRACTIndonesia has so numerous species of plants especially for the species of fruit plants, but there is aproblem which the total of fruit production caused by the pest of fruit flies. A number of methods havebeen used to solve the problem such as by using the plants atractan. This an experimental research wasconducted to determine the effect of Eucalyptus oil (Melaleuca leucodendron L.), Lemongrass oil(Cymbopogon nardus L.), and their mixtures in catching of Bactrocera fruit flies. The data of thisresearch were analyzed by using one-way variance test on the real level of 0,05 %. Result of dataanalysis shows that Fcount > Ftable. This is means that giving of Eucalyptus oil (Melaleuca leucodendronL.), Lemongrass oil (Cymbopogon nardus L), and their mixtures significantly influenced in catchingnumber of the Bactrocera fruit flies. The data analysis was followed by Tukey tes at the real level of5% to see how the different effect of each treatment. Based on the result of data analysis. This researchconcluded that both Eucalyptus oil (Melaleuca leucodendron L.), and Lemongrass oil (Cymbopogonnardus L.) were significantly influence the catching number of fruit flies.Key words: Eucalyptus (Melaleuca leucodendron L.), Lemongrass (Cymbopogon nardus L.)Atractant, Bactrocera Fruit flies.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan struktur komunitas ikan pada arealbudidaya rumput laut secara long line di Teluk Ekas Lombok Timur. Metode yangdigunakan adalah metode survei dengan menggunakan jaring sapu. Teknik pengambilan datateknik removal sampling. Analisis data untuk menggambarkan struktur komunitas ikanadalah analisis secara diskriptif pada parameter jumlah jenis ikan, kemelimpahan,keanekaragaman, keseragaman, dan dominansinya. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwajumlah spesies yang diperoleh sebanyak 886 yang terdiri dari 19 spesies. Spesies ikan yangpaling melimpah adalah Apogon angustatus diikuti oleh Achreichtys tomentosus dan Histriohistrio. Indeks keanekaragaman spesies termasuk kategori sedang. Sedangkan indekskeseragaman kategori tinggi dan dominansi berada pada katagori rendah. Kesimpulan daripenelitian ini dimana indeks keanekaragaman spesies ikan pada areal budidaya rumput laut diperairan Teluk Ekas secara keseluruhan sebesar 2,55. Nilai keanekaragaman tersebut dapatmenunjukkan bahwa rumput laut memiliki peran yang cukup besar dalam meningkatakanjumlah jenis ikan di lokasi studi.Kata-kata kunci: Kemelimpahan, Keanekaragaman, Keseragaman dan DominansiABSTRACTA research on fish community structure in the area of long line seaweeds mariculture of Ekasbay East Lombok was done. Samplings of fish were conducted during September and October2011. Removal sampling technique was applied in this research. Sample of fishes wereidentified and analyzed for density, diversity, equitability or evenees, and domiancy. Total886 fishes collected were identified as 19 species. Three species with the highest density wereApogon angustatus, Achreichtys tomentosus, and Histrio histrio. Species diversity index offish in Ekas bay was in intermediate category. Furthermore, species index equitability orevenees and dominancy were high and low category, respectively. This means there was nofish species dominated other species. All 19 species of fish recorded in this research were inrelative similar number of individual.Key Words: community structure, fish, seaweeds, Ekas bay

Abstract

The tropical climate in Indonesia supports the presence of many types of plants that have the potential to produce abundant vegetables and fruit, however the presence of fruit flies is an obstacle to fruit and vegetable productivity. Lemongrass and basil have been studied to contain several compounds that have the potential to control fruit fly attacks. This study aims to determine the effect of the ethanol extract of lemongrass pseudo stem (Cymbopogon citrates) and basil (Ocimum sanctum) leaves on the catch of Bactrocera fruit flies and to determine the concentration of the extract that has the highest number of catches. The method used in sampling was factorial randomized block design (RBD). The ethanol extract of the pseudo-lemongrass, the extract of basil leaves or the mixture of both extract (1:1) that was given at concentrations of 15%, 30% and 45% was dropped onto a piece of cotton and for then be put within a trap before placing on the tree. The cathes obtained from each extract at each concentration were observed if they show a significant difference in the number of fruit fly. Data were tested using analysis of variance (F test) at α = 0.05, followed by the Honest Significant Difference test (HSD). The results showed that the catch obtained from ethanol extract of lemongrass pseudo stem or from basil leaf ectract as well as  from their mixture had a significantly higher number of Bactrocera fruit flies than without using these extracts. The difference in extract concentration did not cause a difference in the ability to attract fruit flies. The conclusion of this study is that there is an effect of the  pseudo stem ethanol extract of lemongrass or basil leaf ectract as well as their mixture on the catch of Bactrocera fruit flies and these extract are recommended as non-synthetic pesticidesalternatives.

Abstract

Pengsong Mount Natural Tourism Park (NTP) is a habitat for long-tailed monkeys (Macaca fascicularis) in West Lombok. This study aims to determine the habitat characteristics of Macaca fascicularis in Pengsong Mount Natural Tourism Park (NTP), West Lombok. The object of this research is the long-tailed monkey (Macaca fascicularis) and all vegetation observed in the habitat of this species. Habitat characteristic data was collected using the plot method placed on an observation transect. Vegetation data taken includes vegetation at the level of seedlings, saplings, poles, and trees. Data on the physical conditions of the habitats collected included air temperature, air humidity, soil moisture, and soil pH. The data on the activity of the long-tailed monkeys studied were the daily activities of the monkeys in their habitat. The results showed that the habitat characteristics of long-tailed monkeys in Pengsong Mount Natural Tourism Park (NTP) is overgrown by 25 types of plants belonging to 15 families, has an average air temperature of 27.670C, an average air humidity of 650C, an average soil moisture of 55.67%, and the average pH of 5.2. The value of plant diversity in the Pengsong Mount Natural Tourism Park (NTP) area is 2.623 so that the value of plant diversity is classified as moderate. The value of plant evenness in the Pengsong Mount Natural Tourism Park (NTP) area is 0.815 so that the value of plant evenness is high.

Abstract

The role of soil insects is very important as environmental indicator organisms, balancing ecosystems, and helping the process of soil decomposition. This study aims to determine the diversity of soil insects in the Kerandangan Ecotourism Nature Park (ENP) West Lombok. The diversity of flora and fauna that it has makes ENP Kerandangan suitable as an ecotourism area that offers interesting tourist objects as well as educational facilities. Sampling was carried out using the pitfall trap method. Samples were taken at three stations. The first station is in the southern forest of Kerandangan Nature Tourism Park, the second station is in the middle and the third station is in the north forest of Kerandangan Nature Tourism Park. Data were analyzed using the Shannon-Wiener diversity index. The results showed that there were 12 types of insects belonging to 7 orders and 11 families, totaling 595 individuals. Insect species were dominated by insects from the family Carabidae, namely the genus Harpalus as many as 178 individuals. In general, the index value of soil insect species diversity in the Kerandangan TWA forest area is 1.768. The highest species diversity index value was at station 2, namely H'= 1.772. while the lowest is at station 3, namely H'=1.488. In conclusion, the diversity of soil insects in the Kerandangan Nature Tourism Park, West Lombok, varied at each station and in general the level of soil insect diversity in the Kerandangan Nature Tourism Park was categorized as moderate.

Abstract

Bactrocera fruit fly (Diptera: Tephritidae) is one of the important pests in horticulture which is very detrimental. Lemongrass stems and salam leaves are be able used as vegetable attractants in controlling fruit fly pests. This study aimed to determine the effect of lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus) and salam leaves (Syzygium polyanthum) ethanol extract and their mixtures on the number of catches of Bactrocera fruit flies and to determine the effect of the concentration of lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus) and salam leaves (Syzygium polyanthum) ethanol extract and their mixtures on the number of catches of Bactrocera sp. The experimental design used in this research was a Randomized Block Design (RBD). The collected data were analyzed by F test two-way analysis at 95% significance level, followed by Honest Significant Difference Test (HSD) at 95% significance level. The results showed that the use of traps containing ethanol extracts of lemongrass stems and salam leaves and a mixture of the two had succeeded in catching two strains of fruit flies, namely Bactrocera albistrigata (97 individuals) and Bactrocera carambolae (32 individuals), while traps without these extracts failed to catch Bactrocera fruit flies. It is concluded the treatment of lemongrass stems (Cymbopogon citratus) and salam leaves (Syzygium polyanthum) ethanol extract, and their mixtures significantly effect on the number of Bactrocera fruit fly catches, while the treatment with different ethanol extract concentrations of 35%, 45%, and 55% has no significantly effect on the number of Bactrocera fruit fly catches.

Abstract

Pandemi COVID-19 yang melanda dunia termasuk Indonesia sejak Maret 2020 telah mendorong pemerintah mengeluarkan sejumlah kebijakan diantaranya mengharuskan melakukan physical distancing, pembatasan sosial dan menghimbau masyarakat tidak keluar rumah. Akibatnya kebutuhan masyarakat sehari-hari yang sebelumnya cukup terpenuhi, menjadi hamper tidak dapat terpenuhi, terutama bahan pangan. Banyak usaha masyarakat seperti peternakan unggas, budidaya ikan dan lainnya terpaksa harus berhenti. Akibatnya jumlah pengangguran makin bertambah. Sementara di sisi lain kita memiliki banyak sumber daya alam bahan pangan yang belum terkelola misalnya kelor, talas dan air buah kelapa. Kegiatan ini memberikan pelatihan wirausaha dan keterampilan pengolahan berbagai jenis jajan tradisonal Lombok. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan melalui penyuluhan, pelatihan dan pendampingan. Kegiatan penyuluhan dan pelatihan telah diikuti oleh 20 orang peserta dan telah terbentuk satu wirausa pengolahan jajan tradisional Lombok UMKM “Patuh Angan” di desa lokasi.

Abstract

Kreativitas Ilmiah merupakan  kompetensi yang sangat penting pada abad XXI karena berkontribusi menghasilkan gagasan baru melalui kegiatan ilmiah, sehingga keterampilan ini perlu dikembangkan pada siswa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran yang efektif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk menguji  pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis proyek dengan pendekatan sains teknologi masyarakat (STM) terhadap kreativitas ilmiah siswa. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah non-equivalen control group disgn dan teknik pengambilan sampel dengan purposive sampling.Variabel bebas penelitian dalah penerapan model pembelajaran yang berbeda, sementara variabel terikat penelitian  adalah kreativitas ilmiah siswa. Data kreativitas ilmiah diperoleh dari hasil tes uraian.  Instrumen tes disusun atas modifikasi tes kreativitas ilmiah dari Hu dan Adey. Uji hipotesis data menggunakan  ANACOVA. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa nilai sig. (p) = 0,000 lebih kecil dari alpha 0,05, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran berbasis proyek dengan pendekatan sains teknologi masyarakat berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kreativitas ilmiah siswa SMP.
