Abstract

The use of good and appropriate learning media will provide benefits for teachers and students because it can help smooth the teaching and learning process and is very beneficial for students because it can help improve the introduction and understanding of the material being taught. Based on the observations of researchers at SMA Negeri 2 Padang Panjang and interviews with biology teachers, information was obtained that the biology learning media used were Powerpoint, modules, supporting books such as encyclopedias, learning videos from Youtube, and Student Worksheets (LKPD). From the results of the interview, it was revealed that the students had difficulty in understanding the protist material. This type of research is development research using the Instructional Development Institute (IDI) model. The research subjects were two biology lecturers, FMIPA UNP, one teacher and 30 students of class X SMAN 2 Padang Panjang. The object of this research is learning media using the emaze application about protist material for class X students. The research data is the validity data obtained directly through the provision of validity questionnaires to the research subjects. The results showed that the learning media using the emaze application about protist material for class X high school students was very valid with an average validity value of 90.23%. So it can be concluded that the learning media using the emaze application about protist material for class X high school students is very valid

Abstract

Media pembelajaran memuat materi sehingga dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu bahan untuk mempermudah peserta didik. Salah satu media pembelajaran yaitu bahan ajar elektronik yang memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran, pembelajaran lebih interaktif, dan proses pembelajaran lebih fleksibel dan produktif. Perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi menyebabkan pendidik beralih dari penggunaan bahan ajar cetak menjadi bahan ajar elektronik, salah satunya berupa e-handout. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan Research And Development (R&D) dengan menggunakan model 4-D. Subjek penelitian yaitu dua orang dosen biologi Universitas Negeri Padang dan satu orang guru biologi SMA Negeri 3 Padang. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis kualitatif dalam bentuk deskriptif yang mendeskripsikan validasi e-handout yang dikembangkan. Hasil validasi e-handout ini memiliki rata-rata sebesar 93,05% dengan kategori sangat valid. Dari hasil validasi dapat dikatakan bahwa e-handout berbasis kontekstual materi sistem reproduksi manusia untuk peserta didik memenuhi kategori sangat valid.

Abstract

Innovation in PowerPoint media determines students' interest and motivation in learning. The lack of use of game elements makes students bored. To support interactive learning, games such as crossword puzzles are needed as evaluations in the media. This study is purpose to produce interactive PowerPoint learning equipped with a crossword puzzle about plant tissue material for high school students. The research subjects is an expert validator consisting of two Biology lecturers at UNP and one Biology teacher at Payakumbuh Senior High School 3. The research used is ADDIE development research. The research was conducted up to the development stage. The analysis phase uses instruments in the form of observation sheets and interviews for teachers and students. The design stage is the design of interactive powerpoint learning media. At the development stage, using an instrument in the form of a validation sheet addressed to expert validators and analyzed. The percentage results of the three expert validations show that interactive powerpoint media is 91.90% with a very valid category. so that interactive powerpoint learning media equipped with crossword puzzles that have been developed meet the criteria and can be used by students in learning biology.

Abstract

The 2013 curriculum requires students to have 21st century skills known as 4C (critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration). For this reason, teaching materials are needed that are in accordance with the demands of the 2013 curriculum such as Student Activity Sheets (LKPD). This study aims to create a 21st century skill-oriented Student Activity Sheet (LKPD) on animal tissue material for high school. This type of research is research and development research and development (R & D) to produce valid and practical LKPD. The subjects of this study were 36 students of class XI SMA N 2 Tebo Regency as well as two lecturers and two biology teachers as validators. The results showed that the object of this research was the Student Activity Sheet (LKPD) oriented to 21st century skills on animal tissue material for high school. Overall obtained an average of 90.9% with very valid criteria. And the average practicality test by teachers is 95.4% with very practical criteria and by students it has an average of 93% with very practical criteria. This shows that the 21st century skill-oriented worksheets can be used in the learning process. The implications of this research are expected to be used in the learning process.

Abstract

Utilization of the laboratory through practical activities is important to carry out in the learning process because it can support students' understanding of the subject matter so that it is hoped that learning outcomes in the form of Science Process Skills will increase. This study was conducted to collect sufficient information on the analysis of the relationship between the use of laboratories and the Science Process Skills of students. The method used in this study is through a literature study that collects several previous studies to answer the relationship between the use of laboratories and the Science Process Skills of students. The results of the study mostly stated that the use of laboratories had a considerable influence on the Science Process Skills of students. Based on the results of this literature study, it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant relationship between the use of laboratories and the science process skills of students.Keywords: Laboratory, Science Process Skills, Literature Study

Abstract

Pendekatan ilmiah dalam proses pembelajaran menekankan pada keaktifan peserta didik dalam penyelidikan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan LKPD berbasis inkuiri terbimbing pada materi sistem sirkulasi yang valid. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan Research and Development (R & D) dengan menggunakan model 4-D. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis kualitatif dalam bentuk deskriptif. Berdasarkan penelitian diperoleh rata-rata hasil validitas 93,2% dengan kriteria sangat valid. Uji praktikalitas oleh guru memiliki hasil 92,6% dengan kriteria sangat praktis dan uji praktikalitas oleh peserta didik memiliki hasil 93% dengan kriteria sangat praktis. Dari hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik berbasis inkuiri terbimbing pada materi sistem sirkulasi untuk peserta didik kelas XI SMA memenuhi kriteria sangat valid dan sangat praktis sehingga dapat digunakan oleh peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran biologi.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hasil analisis penggunaan metode mind mapping dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif analisis, teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan penelitian meta-analisis yaitu penelitian yang dilakukan cara pengulangan dan menganalisis penelitian dari beberapa hasil penelitian sebelumnya. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menelusuri artikel, jurnal elektronik, dan esai menggunakan "metode mind mapping", "keterampilan berpikir kreatif". Hasil pencarian menunjukkan bahwa ada banyak sekali penelitian tentang ini, tetapi penulis hanya mengambil data 10 artikel, jurnal elektronik, dan esai relevan untuk menunjang penelitian ini. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Berdasarkan data penelitian dilakukan secara meta analisis, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode mind mapping sudah banyak dilakukan oleh peneliti oleh sebelumnya. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa metode mind mapping dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif peserta didik. Hal tersebut diharapkan menjadi acuan guru supaya dapat menggunakan metode mind mapping dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar dalam pendidikan. Metode mind mapping sangat efektif untuk pembelajaran karena metode mind mapping terbukti dapat meningkatkan berpikir kreatif siswa menjadi lebih baik.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model in improving learning outcomes and critical thinking of high school students in biology subjects. The data collection technique was carried out by searching for articles through Google Scholar, Garuda and Sinta. From the search results, 25 National Journals were obtained that met the specified inclusion criteria. The analysis applied is by paying attention to the score before the test or pretest of Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning with after the PBL learning action with the score before the test or posttest as the amount of increase in the pretest process, then dividing the score before the learning action using the PBL model to determine the size influence on PBL learning actions. Based on the results of the analysis of the PBL learning model, it succeeded in having a positive impact. For an effect size of 0.52 with a strong category. The conclusion of this study is that the problem-based learning or PBL method in increasing knowledge and critical thinking of high school students in biology subjects can increase learning outcomes from the lowest 01.03% to the highest 97.43%. This clearly shows that the use of the PBL method in teaching and learning activities can improve learning outcomes and critical thinking of high school students in biology learning in high school.

Abstract

The use of learning models such as a jigsaw with a helpful methodology is one of the methods to further develop biology learning outcomes. In Jigsaw learning, students give opinions to each other and are required to help each other. The motivation behind doing this research is to find out how far the Jigsaw model further develops biology learning outcomes. Literature review or literature study is the research method used in this research. It can be proven from the findings of articles and journals that the Jigsaw model can increase student activity, learning outcomes, and collaboration between students.

Abstract

The guided inquiry learning model is a learning model that can increase student activity. Activeness in the learning process can be seen from the critical thinking skills possessed by students. Measurement of critical thinking skills is needed so that teachers can develop learning steps to improve students' critical thinking skills. This research is an experimental research. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the guided inquiry learning model on students' critical thinking skills. The population in this study were all students in class XI MIPA at SMA Negeri 2 Payakumbuh for the 2021/2022 academic year. The research samples were students of class XI MIPA 7 and class XI MIPA 8 which were determined by lottery technique. Data analysis used paired sample t-test analysis with the help of the SPSS 26 for windows program. The results of data analysis showed that the average gain score in the experimental group was 37.83 while that of the control class was 22.23. The application of the guided inquiry learning model has a positive effect on students' critical thinking skills. The results of the study show that the guided inquiry learning model can improve students' critical thinking skills.
