Abstract

Abstract The research aimed at analyzing Sike musical form arranged by Sanggar Melati. The design of the research was qualitative using content analysis. The findings showed the Assale and Aiyala song arranged and managed by Sanggar Melati appeared within one part. The pattern of the song were managed using stepped and jumped interval. The antecedent phrase was feminine beginning and masculine ending. The melody was played in D minor 4/4. The rhythm pattern of rebana, both of the songs were similar in their musical principles.   Keywords : analisis bentuk musik, sike

Abstract

Abstract   The aim of this study was to figure out the correlation between the music with the dance in Tari Piriang Rantak Tapi show. This was a qualitative research which used content analysis approach. The data was collected through library study, observation and interview. The data then was classified into primary and secondary data. The result of the research revealed that there was a very significant correlation between the music and the dance in Tari Piriang Rantak Tapi show. Each of them affected to each other so that they became a unity. The music accompanied the dance in accordance with the structur of the dance. It also created a harmonic atmosphere which support the dance show. In counting the beats or rhythmic of the music and dance, it was clearly that the beats were one times eight which was similar to the strains of the music using 4/4 of birama symbol. Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research was to describe the form of Reog Ponorogo in Tujuh Belas Agustus event in Desa Parit I/II Kecamatan Sungai Apit Kabupaten Siak Riau. The researcher did a field observation when the show was held in the afternoon. There were 8 people involved in the show, 6 people as the instrument players, 1 person as the singo barong player and I person as the topeng bujang player. The properties used were barongan dadak merak, kuda kepang, topeng bujang ganong. The music instruments were the gamelan such as kenong, gong, ketipung, kendang, slomfret. Abstract

This study aims to describe or find out the inheritance of the Krilu musical instrument in Sanggar Ratau Agung in Tunggang Village, Lebong Utara District, Lebong Regency, Bengkulu Province. This research is a qualitative research. The research instrument was the researcher itself and was assisted by supporting instruments such as stationery, voice recorder, and camera. The type of data in this study was primary and secondary data. The data were collected through literature study, observation, interview, and documentation. The data analysis was conducted by collecting data, classifying data analysis, and making conclusions and suggestions. The results show that the inheritance of Krilu in Sanggar Ratau Agung in Tunggang Village, Lebong Utara District, Lebong Regency, Bengkulu Province uses an open and enculturation system. This inheritance system does not use a closed one due to the fact that there is no family from Krilu artists that can inherit the Krilu art. The open inheritance system carried out by artists is by teaching individual studio members who are interested and want to learn Krilu musical instruments. Meanwhile, the closed system is not found in the inheritance system. The Krilu musical instrument is played when the official speech is given in the welcoming dance, and inheritance.

Abstract

Abstract This article was intended to describe the Presentation Structure of the Four Songs in the Dhol Music in the Tabut Ceremony in Provinsi Bengkulu. This was a qualitative research which used descriptive method. The data was collected through library study, observation, interview, and documentation. The data analysis was done by classifying the data based on the conceptual framework. The result of the research revealed that the presentation structure of the four songs in Dhol music was (1) the ritual of Ambik Tanah, Duduk Penja and Menjara accompanied by Suweri, Melalu and Tamatam songs, (2) the ritual of Meradai accompanied by Suwena song, (3) the ritual of Arak Penja, Arak sorban, Gham and Arak Gedang without the accompaniment of dhol music, and (4) the ritual of Tabut Naik Pangkek and Tabut Tebuang accompanied by Suweri, Suwena and Tamatam songs. Abstract

Abstract This article is aimed to describe simple ensemble music learning and as an illustration/reference for teachers in teaching students about playing simple music ensembles of 8th grade Junior High School students at SMP Negeri 3 Koto BaruDharmasraya. This study used a descriptive approach. The instrument of this research was the researcher and assisted with supporting instruments such as stationery, audiovisuals and Smartphone. Techniques of data collection were done by library research, field observations, interviews and documentation. Techniques of data analysis were done by describing, elaborating and concluding. The results showed that the implementation of ensemble music learning by the teacher have not been fully using Lesson plan as a reference in learning. The methods that should be used by the teacher are question and answer method and demonstration. In fact, the teacher is more likely to use the lecturing method while the two methods written in the lesson plan have not been implemented into the learning process. The inequality of students` ability playing music leads the output obtained by students becomes varied. Lack of guided training given by teachers to students makes the ability to play musical instruments by the students is still not optimal. Keywords: Learning, ensemble music

Abstract

Abstract This research aimed at determining the effect of audio visual media on students’ ability in singing national anthems. The subject of the research were students of VIII2 at SMP Negeri 18 Padang in the year of 2012-2013. The design of the research was class action research in which students’ musical notations learning by using the audio visual determined. The research findings showed that there was an improvement on students’ singing. The improvement was seen from the average score of the class in each cycle. In the pre-cycle, the average score of the students was 68.375. In the first cycle, the average score was improved to 75.375 and in the second cycle, it was improved to 82.25. It was concluded that audio visual media were appropriate for students’ singing improvement.   Kata kunci: bernyanyi, notasi, media, audio, visual.

Abstract

Abstract This article aims to describe how the implementation of learning singing in unisono in Junior 2 2 x 11 Wood Planting Padang Pariaman. The type of research used a qualitative approach is descriptive method. The object of research is the students who follow the implementation of learning to sing in unison in Junior 2 2 x 11 Wood Planting Padang Pariaman. Instrument in this study is the researchers themselves by means of observation and documentation of the interview. The type of data in this study with data collection, reduction of data, display data, and verification or retrieval conclusion. Data that has been collected is classified, in order to avoid misinterpretation of data. The results showed that the implementation of learning singing in unisono haven't done with good cause is internal and external factors. The internal factor consists of desires, participation, and attention, and external factor seen from teachers and parents. The wishes of the student in following the implementation process of learning singing unisono in very low. Attention students in learning have followed a less good attention. And of most students there who follow the learning process are singing unisono with the mean seriously. Keywords: Implementation of Learning Singing In Unisono

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to describe the use of drilling method in teaching local music for 7th grade studens at SMP 8 Padang. Each learning activity consists of three meetings. The instruments of this research were the researcher herself as the observer, interview guidance and documents. The type of this research is qualitative research. The object were all students in class VII-1. The data were collected and analyzed based on the problem of the research. The research result shows that drilling method used in Cakdindin song has a significant effect toward improving the student’s ability. The learning activities were done in several phases in order to train the students and show a good learning result. Abstract

The purpose of this work was to narrate the author's life story by using a violin as the instrument. It told about the author's love of this cord instrument. Through the work of "My Story" the author expressed various kinds of feelings such as sadness, happiness, joy, anger, and disappointment through music composition. This work was played by 4 music players (quartet) with classical music style. They consisted of one violinist, one viola player, one flutist and one classical guitarist. The music composition in this work used the form of rondo composition. This composition emphasized circular circles of repetitions of sentences in the song. The first theme was played; after that, the second theme was introduced and developed. Before the third theme came up, the composition reverted to the first theme and it ended in the first theme after going through an unexpected third theme. Keywords : classical music, quartet, my story.
