Abstract

Achievement motivation needs to be possessed by every individual. The aims of this research are to find out the effect of self concept and locus of control to achievement motivation in Islamic Guidance and Counseling Students of IAIN Kerinci. This research was descriptive & correlation research by using quantitative approach. Data were collected by using the Tennessee Self Concept Scale by William H. Fitts modified by Julia Raymod Lorenz, inventory Rotters Internal-External Locus of Control (I-E Scale), and achievement motivation scale. The data were analyzed by percentage technique, simple linear regression technique, and multiple linear regression technique. The finding of research are: 1) the general level of self concept is in middle category, 2) locus of control is in the middle range between internal locus of control and external locus of control with an average as big as 11.46, 3) the general level of achievement motivation is in middle category, 4) there is an effect self concept to achievement motivation, 5) there is an effect locus of control to achievement motivation, and 6) there is an effect self concept and locus of control to achievement motivation.

Abstract

Prosocial behavior is a voluntary act actualized in the attitude of getting rid of personal interests in providing benefits to other individuals. This study aims to analyze: To find out the description of prosocial behavior, to find out differences in prosocial behavior in terms of socio-economic conditions, to find out differences in students' prosocial behavior in terms of gender, to find out differences in students' prosocial behavior in terms of culture, and to find out differences in students' prosocial behavior. in terms of the interaction between culture, socio-economic conditions, gender. This type of research is a descriptive comparative research that uses comparative analysis techniques. The population of this research is the students of SMP Islam Hands as many as 123 people. The students who were used as samples in this study were 123 people. The instrument used is a Likert scale. Hypothesis testing in research to see differences in prosocial behavior in terms of socioeconomic status, gender and majors will use a three-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA).

Abstract

Perubahan sosial yang begitu cepat (rapid social change) secara jelas telah mempengaruhi gaya hidup masyarakat. Perubahan tersebut juga mengakibatkan terjadinya pergeseran nilai-nilai. Salah satu nilai yang mengalami perubahan adalah kejujuran. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkap efektivitas penerapan Pendidikan karakter cerdas format kelompok untuk meningkatkan nilai kejujuran mahasiswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental dengan rancangan pretest and posttest control group design. Teknik pengambilan data dengan menggunakan purposive sampling. kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan Wilcoxson Signed Ranks Test dan Kolmogorov-Smirnov Two Sampel.Temuan dari penelitian ini adalah: 1) terdapat peningkatan kejujuran mahasiswa Jurusan Bimbingan dan Konseling Islam sebagai kelompok eksperimen, sebelum dan sesudah diberi perlakuan; 2) tidak terdapat peningkatan kejujuran mahasiswa Jurusan Bimbingan dan Konseling Islam sebagai kelompok kontrol pada pretest dan posttest; dan 3) terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan kejujuran mahasiswa JurusanBKI IAIN Kerinci pada kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Adapun yang menjadi informan kunci atau informan utama dari penelitian ini adalah 2 mahasiswa yang merupakan korban bullying di Jurusan bimbingan dan konseling Islam IAIN Kerinci. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi dalam rangka mengumpulkan data-data untuk keperluan penelitian. Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis selama di lapangan model Miles dan Huberman. Temuan dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) bentuk-bentuk bullying yang diterima “AR” dan “YAS” dalam bentuk bullying verbal; (2) strategi coping yang digunakan oleh “AR” dan “YAS” yakni emotional focused coping; (3) faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi “AR” dan “YAS” dalam menggunakan strategi coping antara lain, dukungan sosial, ketegaran/hardiness dan karakteristik kepribadian.

Abstract

Keterampilan belajar adalah suatu keterampilan yang sudah dikuasai oleh siswa untuk dapat sukses dalam menjalani pembelajaran di kampus (sukses akademik) dengan menguasai materi yang dipelajari. Tujuan penelitian ini antara lain untuk mendeskripsikan: 1) keterampilan belajar siswa kelas X IPA di MAN 1 Pekanbaru?; 2) keterampilan belajar siswa kelas X IPS di MAN 1 Pekanbaru; dan 3) perbedaan keterampilan belajar antara siswa kelas X IPA dan keterampilan belajar siswa kelas X IPS di MAN 1 Pekanbaru?. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode komparatif. Instrumen yang digunakan yakni angket keterampilan belajar. Angket keterampilan belajar diadaptasi dari item pernyataan AUM PTSDL Format- 2 SLTA berkaitan dengan keterampilan belajar yang kemudian item pernyataan tersebut diperbaiki kalimatnya. Data dianalisa dengan menggunakan teknik deskriptif dan t-test. Temuan penelitian ini antara lain: 1) keterampilan belajar siswa jurusan IPA berada dalam kategori sedang yakni sebesar 71,58%; 2) keterampilan belajar siswa jurusan IPS berada dalam kategori sedang yakni sebesar 69,12%; dan 3) terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan keterampilan belajar antara siswa jurusan IPA dan IPS di MAN 1 Pekanbaru.

Abstract

Every individual is required to be able to adjust to changes that occur. For individuals who are not able to adjust to the changes, it can cause problems for them. This conditions provides great opportunities for counselors to organize counseling services. Counselors are supposedly able to apply the code of conduct in providing services to clients. Various issues of implementing the code of conduct are occurring in the implementation of counseling services, whether it is caused by counselor or external parties. Therefore, counselor should cultivate self-awareness to carry out a duty correctly, continue to improve the competence, as well as policy makers should formulate clear regulations and properly accompanied by supervision.

Abstract

Sebagai salah satu pendidik yang berada di satuan pendidikan, konselor memiliki peran besar dalam memfasilitasi siswa mencapai tugas-tugas perkembangannya. Oleh sebab itu, konselor harus memiliki keterampilan dalam pelaksanaan pelayanan konseling. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan modul assesmen non tes bagi guru bimbingan dan konseling yang tingkat SMP di Kota Sungai Penuh dan Kabupaten Kerinci. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (development research). Instrumen pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu kuesioner. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data deskriptif dan uji Koefisien Konkordansi Kendall (W). Temuan penelitian ini antara lain: 1) terdapat perbedaan keterampilan melaksanakan assesmen non tes antara Guru BK di Kota Pekanbaru dan Kabupaten Kerinci; 2) modul peningkatan keterampilan Guru bimbingan dan konseling dalam melaksanakan assesmen non tes dinilai layak; dan 3) tingkat keterpakaian modul peningkatan keterampilan Guru bimbingan dan konseling dalam melaksanakan assesmen non tes dinilai tinggi.

Abstract

In spite of the legal basis for implementing guidance and counseling in higher education is not as complete and detailed as counseling services in primary and secondary education units, a number of regulations indicate that guidance and counseling services are an important element in the organization of college. This research aims to formulate a program of counseling services based on appropriate qur’ani values ​​according to the expert and describe the frequency of usage of the counseling service program to resolve student problems. This developmental research is carried out using the steps of the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The subjects of research trial consist of 3 experts and 3 product users (counselors), taken using the purposive sampling method. The analysis technique used is descriptive statistics and Kendall concordance coefficient tests. The results indicate that: (1) a counseling service program based on qur’ani values ​​is considered appropriate to be given to students; (2) the usability level of qur'ani values-based counseling service programs is considered highly usable to be used as a reference in counseling services.

Abstract

COVID-19 has a significant impact on various aspects, one of which is the learning process. This study aims to describe the readiness of teacher education students to organize online learning. The method used in this research was mixed methods. Ninety-seven students of the Islamic Religious Education Study Program IAIN Kerinci filled in a survey from November to December 2021. For the purposes of qualitative data, 3 people participated, including the Head of the Department, the Dean and the Vice Rector for Academic. The researcher adapted the research scale developed by Hung regarding the readiness of teachers to carry out online learning. Qualitative data collection was carried out using the interview method. All data was analyzed by descriptive statistics, Man-Whitnney Test and Kruskal-Wallis. Qualitative research data were analyzed using an interactive analysis model. The results showed that the readiness of teacher education students to conduct online learning was categorized as high. Based on the univariate analysis test, there was no difference in the readiness of teacher education students to conduct online learning based on the variables of gender, length of time accessing the internet in a day and the experience of participating in online learning. Universities have made several efforts to equip students with the skills to organize online learning. It is suggested to university to design a curriculum that is in accordance with the current and future learning needs.

Abstract

Final-year students are often faced with stressful conditions. They have to complete all the academic demands that are so many. This study aimed to examine the direct effect of religiosity and religious coping on academic stress and the mediating effect of religious coping on the relationship between religiosity and academic stress. A total of 191 final-year students at one of the universities in Indonesia participated in filling out the College Student Stress Scale, Religiosity Scale among Muslims and The Brief RCOPE. Structural model testing using the structural equation model through the SmartPLS 3.0. The results showed a direct negative effect of religiosity and religious coping on academic stress. In addition, the relationship between religiosity and academic stress is mediated by religious coping. There needs to be an effort to maximize the process of academic guidance carried out by academic supervisors. Prevention and intervention of academic stress can also be done through guidance and counselling services carried out by professional counsellors. Final-year students also need social support from those closest to them.
