Abstract

A study on domestication and triggering gonadal maturation technique ofOsteochilus hasselti CV were conducted from March to May 2015. The study aimed to obtaina high quality brooder with good gonado somatic index and high quality eggs and sperm, inthat the fishes were treated with defference diets. Fish samples were kept in 1 x 1 x 1 mcages, with density of 20, 30 and 40 fishes/cage respectively. Fishes were fed on three typesof food namely dried Tubifex, shrimp pellet (without vitamin E addition) and shrimp pelletthat is enriched with vitamin E. The fishes was fed 10 % of total fish body weight/day. Itrevealed domestication can be conducted by keeping them in the cages that natural habitat.During the first week, fishes were not fed and in the following weeks they were provided withthe treated fed. The best result obtained in the fishes that are 20 fishes/cage and are feed withshrimp pellet that is enriched with vitamin E. During the research period (80 days), 20 fisheswere sampled in the 4th gonadal maturity level, their maturity indices was 14,7 %, fecundity360 eggs, egg diameter 0,936 mm and semen volume produced 0,575 ml.

Abstract

This study was conducted from May 2013 - May 2014. Locations research wasconducted in the District of Bangko Bagansiapiapi. This study aims to determine the qualityof rainwater as a source of public drinking water in the District of Bangko Bagansiapiapi,knowing the health effects of consuming rainwater as drinking water and contribute ideas forthe Government of Rokan Hilir to be able to hold clean water for the people of the District ofBangko Local Government of Rokan Hilir . The results were obtained as follows: (1). Thequality of rainwater in the study site based on the results of laboratory parameters in terms ofinorganic chemistry, physical parameters, chemical parameters still below the drinking waterquality standards that are required by Minister Regulation No. 492 / Menkes / Per / IV / 2010showed that the rain water at the study site that rain water can be consumed by the public andis not harmful to health.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the treatment of waste water hotel and see Implemantation Decree of the Minister of Environment No.52/MENLH/10/1995 concerning the Waste water Quality Hotel by five-star hotel in the city of Pekanbaru. The method used in this research is the survey and interview. Based on the analysis we found that the rate of decrease in the content of pollutants in the waste water hotel in reducing the content of pollutants in the waste water for parameters BOD, COD, TSS and pH respectively 72%, 75%, 25% and 16%. IPL Cability levels in the lower levels of waste water sample parameters for the parameters BOD, COD, TSS and pH respectively 60.0%, 30.0%, 50.0% and 87.5%. IPLC analysis results in Pekanbaru compared with the Waste water Quality Standard Hotel, pollutant levels are still above the environmental quality standards.

Abstract

One alternative to overcome the issue of Pekanbaru City Open Space quantity that does not meet the requirements is to reorganize the function and optimization of existing Open Space. A potential open space that has been neglected is cemetery. Cemetery are often ignored because of images related to death, whereas in addition to social functions, there are also ecological and economic functions. One form of cemetery is a public cemetery (TPU) managed by the Pekanbaru City government. Given its potential, a funeral green space strategy is needed. Strategic formulation using SWOT and priority setting using AHP. Inputs needed in the preparation of this strategy are the existing conditions and their compliance with funeral green space guidelines, people's perceptions and preferences.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the impact of the development of Lake Tajwid natural tourism and the strategy of developing Lake Tajwid natural tourism. There are two data in this research, namely primary data and secondary data. data analysis using GAP analysis which is based on the SAPTA PESONA indicator. Sapta Pesona has 7 indicators, namely; safe, orderly, clean, beautiful, cool, friendly and memorable. based on the results of research on natural ecotourism development of Lake Tajwid impact on environmental, economic and social conditions. the environment will have an impact on environmental pollution if it is not wise in developing tourist areas. the economic aspect can grow the economy, the social aspect opens up employment opportunities. Then there is a gap between reality and charm. The strategies designed in this research to realize the natural tourism development of Lake Tajwid are; 1) instilling awareness of tourism, 2) structuring facilities and infrastructure, 3) increasing supporting facilities, 4) increasing information / innovation and promotion, and 5) preserving the environment.

Abstract

Spinach (Amaranthus tricolor L.) is a plant whose leaves are usually consumed as vegetables. The purpose of this study is to analyze spinach (A. tricolor L.) farming in an ecological, economic and social perspective and formulate sustainable spinach (A. tricolor L.) farming strategies in Pekanbaru City. The research was conducted in the city of Pekanbaru in May-July 2020. This research was conducted using the survey method to the field to obtain relevant information about the implementation of spinach farming in Pekanbaru City. The results of this study are the area of land for planting spinach in Tampan District covering 3 hectares and in Marpoyan Damai District 3.5 hectares. The type of soil used in Marpoyan Damai and Tampan Districts is humus soil. Soil pH in Marpoyan Damai and Tampan Districts ranges between 5.5-6. The average rainfall in Pekanbaru City is 170.7 with an average length of rainy days 14 days per month and humidity in Pekanbaru City is 70-85%. Overall, in terms of ecology, it is suitable for good habitat for growing spinach. Costs incurred in Marpoyan Damai District are Rp 11,670,000 per hectare while in Tampan District Rp 8,260,000 per hectare. The revenue of spinach farming group in Marpoyan Damai District is Rp. 22,800,000 and in Tampan District is Rp. 17,100,000. The income of spinach farmers in Marpoyan Damai District is Rp11,130,000 and in Tampan District Rp8,840,000. B / C ratio in Marpoyan Damai District is 1.95 and in Tampan District is 2.07. In Marpoyan Damai Subdistrict, spinach farming is carried out by the Farmer Group, namely by Mr. Mudhofir who is 39 years old with high school education. Conflicts between farmers that have occurred are land problems and have been resolved as a family. In Tampan District, spinach farming is carried out by the Baskara Jati Farmer Group, namely by 51-year-old Mr. Topan with junior high school education. Conflicts between farmers that have occurred are differences in understanding and have been resolved as a family. The management of spinach farming in Pekanbaru City has been going well, and there is already an efficiency in planting and it is said to be profitable. Based on this analysis, spinach farming in Pekanbaru City is profitable and feasible to be developed.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of community characteristics (age, education and income) and perceptions to the public participation in mangrove forest conservation, with research sites in two villages in the district of Bantan Bengkalis. Collecting data using a survey method with questionnaires and sampling was done by random sampling where the population 2494 people, which is used as the sample is taken as 97 respondents. The method of analysis used in this research is statistical descriptive and path analysis. And based on the results of statistical analysis has been done, obtained some results as follows: that of the community characteristics variable (age, education and income) only educational variables that have a significant direct effect on the public participation variable and also found that the perception variables have a significant directl effect on the public participation variable. Furthermore, the results also found that the public participation variables have a significant directl effect on the mangrove forest conservation variables.

Abstract

One of the problems faced in the management of conservation areas, including wildlife reserves, is the community activities in and around the area to meet their daily needs. They in general have traditionally carried on their traditional lives and most of them live at a very subsistence economic level. Therefore the success of the management of conservation areas including wildlife reserves is very dependent on the attitudes and support of the community both at the local and national level. Bukit Rimbang Bukit Baling Wildlife Reserve has been determined by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia through the Decree of the Minister of Forestry number SK.3977/Menhut-VII/KUH/2014 on May 23, 2014 with an area of 141,226.25 hectares (BBKSDA Riau, 2015). Tanjung Belit Village, Kampar Kiri Hulu Subdistrict, Kampar Regency is one of the villages bordering the Bukit Rimbang Hill Baling High School which has high public concern for the preservation of the forest, rivers and the surrounding environment. The people of Tanjung Belit Village have traditionally used natural resources in and around the Bukit Rimbang Bukit Baling Wildlife Reserve area to fulfill their daily needs by farming / gardening and collecting forest products and other river products. However, the availability of these forest and river resources, if taken continuously, will certainly decrease both in quality and quantity. While the necessities of life always increase along with the increasing population and the progress of the times. Therefore efforts should be made to the community and natural resources, so that the availability of natural resources and the necessities of life can be improved. This study aims to analyze the socio-economic conditions of the people of Tanjung Belit Village, identify the potential of Bukit Rimbang Bukit Baling Wildlife Reserve, formulate the Tanjung Belit Village community empowerment strategy around the Bukit Rimbang Bukit Baling Wildlife Reserve, Kampar Regency, Riau Province. The research approach used in this study is a quantitative approach to the survey method.he results showed the socio-economic conditions of the people of Tanjung Belit Village were still classified as poor and less skilled. However, local wisdom and a strong will to try to be a social capital in community empowerment. The potential of Bukit Rimbang Hill Bukit Baling has quite high potential from flora, fauna and nature tourism, but for the development of agricultural business is still limited due to the status of the wildlife reserve. The results of the study can be formulated a strategy of community empowerment in the village of Tanjung Belit around Bukit Rimbang Bukit Baling Wildlife Reserve; (a) optimize land use in agricultural business development; (b) encourage training activities to improve human resources in the context of community empowerment; (c) active community involvement in the management of the Bukit Rimbang Bukit Baling Wildlife Reserve area; (d) increasing cooperation support between the government and stakeholders in developing infrastructure supporting natural tourism around the Bukit Rimbang Bukit Baling Wildlife Reserve.

Abstract

Ministry of National Development Planning (PPN) / National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas), the Republic of Indonesia stated that Indonesia is committed to the environment in 2045 with a program towards Indonesia's Green Economy marked by a 41% reduction in emissions. The existence of green open space (GOS) is an important factor in supporting the ecological sustainability of a city, The role of GOS in addition lies in improving temperature and humidity also found in the reduction of CO2 emissions. The main purpose of this research is to plan an integration strategy between GOS and the Urban Agriculture Program. in Duri City, Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province, which is one of the petroleum producing cities in Indonesia. The method of this research using GIS-AHP approach. The strategy action consists of environmental, economics and social  commitments are maintained for development sustainability by implementing green technology, green economic regulation and strengthening the green community movement. The main result of research prove that strategic integration of GOS Privat with Urban Agriculture Program u in Duri City contributes GOS Private availability of 14,134%, so that gos private has exceeded the requirement limit of at least 10% based on the mandate of the Spatial Arrangement Act, Republic of Indonesia.

Abstract

This research was conducted in September 2020 in Tenayan Raya District, Pekanbaru City. This study describes the participation of cassava farmers in the conservation of dry land according to the Land Conservation Index (IKK) and analyzes socio-economic factors that influence these conservation activities. Respondents in this study were cassava farmers who have farming land over one hectare. Conservation activities carried out by farmers to carry out dry land conservation include, making terraces or uplands and planting in the direction of contour lines or crossing slopes, use of mulch or terrace reinforcing grass, use of manure and construction of drainage channels. The approach used in this study used survey methods and interviews with cassava farmers to obtain farmer socio-economic data, and analyzed using simple regression methods. The results showed that the farmers carried out dry land conservation activities at a moderate level. The influence of socio-economic factors that affect the dry land conservation activities of cassava farmers is the factor of acceptance and land ownership status.
