Abstract

Analysis of heavy metals content Pb, Cu and Zn in sea water and Oyster (C.cucullata) in Loskala River Estuary has been conducted from July – August 2013.Samples of sea water andOyster (C. cucullata) were taken from five stations withthree replicates at each station. Heavy metals content analysis was carried out inthe KLH Pekanbaru Laboratory by using an Atomic AbsorptionSpectrophotometer Shimadzu AA-7000. The results showed that average haeavymetals content in sea waters were 0,077 μg/L (Pb), 0,045 μg/L (Cu) ), 0,125 μg/L(Zn) and in Oyster (C. cucullata) were 14,454 μg/g (Pb), 103,778 μg/g (Cu) ),111,611 μg/g (Zn) respectively. Simple linear regression analysis indicatespositive correlation between metals contentin sea water and in Oyster (C.cucullata) with Y =12,79+ 21,57X (r = 0,153) Pb ; Y = 8,384 + 2117X (r = 0,437)Cu and Y =93,76 +142,8X (r = 0,432) Zn.Keywords : Heavy Metal, Water, Oyster, Loskala River Estuary

Abstract

This research was conducted from January to August 2018 and took place in 20 Pekanbaru health centers. The purpose of this study was to determine the conditions of air pollution based on PM10 parameters in Pekanbaru City in 2015 and to divide in periods of smog and not haze, the character of new pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) patients undergoing treatment during periods of smog and not smoke haze, expenditure released by the average of each new pulmonary TB patient in the period of smog and not smog and economic losses incurred by new pulmonary TB patients during the period of smog and not haze. The results of the study, months that exceed the quality standard PM10 in the air 150 µg / m3 are July, September and October. Smog period, May, June, July, August, September and October, not smoke haze January, February, March, April, November and December. The majority of those with new pulmonary TB treatment during the non-haze period, men (75.4%) p-value 0.885 and young age group (90.7%) p-values 0.335. The total direct cost of new pulmonary TB patients during smog is Rp. 2,230,000 (141.5,343.1) and as long as it is not smog Rp. 2,020,000 (125,347) with p-value 0.538. The highest expenditure is food costs (p-value 0.043) and mask costs (p-value <0.001). The total indirect cost of new pulmonary TB patients during the smog period is Rp. 1,600,000 (121,297) and not a smog period of Rp. 1,470,000 (45,266.2). Percentage of median total economic loss due to new pulmonary tuberculosis during 20.8% smog (14.6.31.8) and as long as it is not smog 19.5% (12.9, 33) with p-value 0.396.

Abstract

Lung capacity is the capacity of lung function that is the description of the function of the respiratory system ventilation so that an unknown amount of capacity ventilation and the presence or absence of lung function abnormalities ventiliator (Brunner & Suddarth, 2010). Process disturbance lung capacity at the start of their lung function disorders caused by the presence of dust. Dust is one of the pollutants that can lead to respiratory problems for workers in industries associated with the dust in the production process. Dust is also often referred to as particles suspended in air (Suspended Particulate Metter / SPM) with a size of 1 micron to 500 microns. The purpose of this study was to determine the analysis comparison of ambient dust levels on the incidence of lung disorders vital capacity in industrial factory workers. This study uses observational study design, with a cross-sectional design that was conducted in June-August 2015 in Plant PT JR and SR Kampar PT. Number of samples 40 people. Measuring instruments used are questionnaires and observation sheets. Analiais data used is simple logistic regression. The results showed that the density of dust is not normal in a company 10 times the risk of impaired lung function compared to the density of dust in the normal threshold (CI 2.892 to 21.659). While the company at risk of 21.6 times and impaired lung function compared to the density of dust in the normal threshold (CI 1.313 to 335.951) after controlling for confounding variables is the variable sport. Workers who are not using PPE at company A risk 8 times impaired lung function compared with workers who use PPE (CI 2.692 to 24.659). While the company and 3.5 times the risk of impaired lung function compared with workers who use PPE (CI 0.166 to 73.717). Advised on factory workers to maintain the safety of health themselves by using personal protective mill dust density environment experienced during work.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and examine the effect of job tenure, length of employment, and the age of workers mower against hearing loss due to noise generated by the lawnmower. This study used a cross-sectional approach, with a total sampling usingsampling as many as 30 workers cutting the grass in the town of Thorns. Theindependent variable of this study is the intensity noise (dB), tenure (years), duration ofwork (hours), and the age of workers mower. The analysis was performed usingunivariate and bivariate. The results showed there is 1 variable that affects the functionof the auditory capacities of workers mower, lawn mower that worker's age (p value:0.002,  2 : 9600, CL: 0.005-0.464). From the bivariate analysis showed that age ofmower workers is the most dominant disorder that affects hearing loss on mowerworkers.

Abstract

Water is a natural resource that has a renewable potential because the availability of water in nature follows a cycle that involves various ecosystem components. The purpose of this study was to analyze the color, odor and taste of peat water before and after treatment by applying coconut shell charcoal powder and determine the optimal weight of coconut shell charcoal powder which is effective against decreasing the color, odor and taste of peat water. The research population is the peat water area located in Kualu Village, Tambang District, Kampar Regency. The data analysis technique of this study used Analysis of Varianse (ANOVA). The results of this study are (1) Conditions of the levels of color, odor and taste in peat water before treatment with coconut shell charcoal powder, where in the tests carried out in looping 1 to looping 5 have the same results (consistent), namely the results of the color of 86.21, from the odor results stated (Smelled ++++), and the results of the taste stated (Asam ++++), (2) There was a significant / significant difference between the color, odor and taste of peat water before and after contacting with coconut shell charcoal adsorbent (weight variation) and (3) Optimal weight of coconut shell charcoal powder which is effective in reducing the color, odor and taste of peat water in the StD sample group: After contacting (50 g / 1L).
