Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of feeding fermented vegetable waste of mustard greens and cabbage of use different percentage of feed to growth of catfish (Pangasius sp.) and produce leaflet for class XII biology learning on biotechnology materials. This research was conducted at the Binakrida Street, Simpang Baru Subdistrict, Binawidya District, Pekanbaru City in March-July 2020. The research was conducted in 2 stages, namely: experimental research the effect of feeding fermented vegetable waste of mustard greens and cabbage to growth of catfish and potential analysis stage and leaflet design from experimental research results. The experimental research was designed with a Randomized Block Design consisting of 5 treatments and 3 replications. The feed used is artificial feed containing fermented vegetable waste of mustard greens and cabbage with different percentage of feed, the treatment consists of T1 (15%), T2 (30%), T3( 45%), T4 (60%). The test parameters are the specific growth rate, feed efficiency, survival rate, and water quality. Based on the ANOVA test (analysis of variances), it shows that the feeding fermented vegetable waste of mustard greens and cabbage has a significant effect on the growth of catfish (p <0.05) and T2 treatment produces the best growth with a 2.11% specific growth, 63,36% feed efficiency, 100% survival rate, and water quality that can support the growth of catfish. Based on the analysis of the potential results of experimental research, it can be used as a biology learning leaflet design for biotechnology material in high school.Key Words: Mustard and Cabbage Vegetable Waste Flour, Fermentation, Catfish Growth,Learning Leaflet Design

Abstract

Abstract : Research has been carried out at Pekanbaru SMP 14 in September to December 2018 which aims to determine the effectiveness and constraints on the use of laboratories in supporting science learning in Pekanbaru Public Middle School 2017/2018 academic year. The sample in this study were science teachers as many as 3 science teachers and grade VIII and IX students as many as 234 students. The research instrument used a closed questionnaire, observation sheet, and documentation. Then the data were analyzed descriptively quantitatively. The results showed that the effectiveness of laboratory use in supporting science learning in Pekanbaru State Middle School 14/2014 academic year was 68.45% (quite effective). While the barriers to the use of science laboratories in SMP Negeri 14 Pekanbaru include: the intensity of teachers in participating in laboratory training and the availability of time for practicum activities that are still low and the lack of laboratory facilities that are still lacking. Based on the results of the research it was concluded that the effectiveness of the use of laboratories in supporting science learning in Pekanbaru Public Middle School 2017/2018 academic year was in the category of being quite effective.Keywords: Effectiveness, barriers, laboratories, Science Learning

Abstract

Abstract : The purpose of this study was to produce a valid work sheet based on a constructivism approach on environmental change and environmental conservation materials for biology learning in grade x high school. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Biology Education Department of PMIPA FKIP University of Riau and SMA Negeri 2 Bangko Pusako Kab. Rokan Hilir in September-December 2017. This type of research is a development research using the ADDIE model that is carried out until the development stage. There are 4 work sheet developed. The instruments of data collection in this research are work sheet assessment / validation sheets, and student response questionnaires. After work sheet was developed, validated by 4 validators then simulated on 15 students semester 5 of biology education FKIP UR, and the test is limited to 20 students of Class X in SMA Negeri 2 Bangko Pusako Kab. Rokan Hilir. The validation results show the average score of the design aspects of the 4 work sheet developed is 3.36 categories are very valid, the pedagogical aspect score is 3.40 categories are very valid, and the average score of content feasibility aspect is 3.20 valid categories. The average score of all aspects of work sheet is 3.40 categories is very valid. The simulation result shows 3.50 average score with very good category. The result of the limited trial shows the average score of 3.49 with very good category. The results of the answer analysis on the limited trial showed the average value of 84.25 (non experiment) with good category. Abstract

Abstract: This research was conducted to determine the effect of giving palm sugar to the quality of nata de leri as a design 3rd grade of senior high school biotechnology subject material in February-March 2019. The research carried out in two stages, namely the experimental stage: the effect of giving palm sugar on the quality of nata de leri and the second stage the design of the LKPD:the analysis of potential development of class XII high school biotechnology subject. The research used the experimental method by conducting experiments at the Laboratory of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Pekanbaru. Sampling was carried out with a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments and 3 replications. The parameters in this research were thickness analysis, acidity analysis (pH), and organoleptic test. Based on the results of Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) at the level of 5%, administration of palm sugar showed a significant effect on the quality of nata de leri. giving 200 grams of palm sugar gives the best improvement to the quality of nata de leri and based on the analysis of potential research results it can be used as a design for Student Worksheet (LKPD) for grade XII high school biotechnology subject material.Key Words: Quality of the Nata de leri, LKPD design, Palm sugar

Abstract

Abstract: The background of this study is most children are less familiar with the letters a through z. There are some children can name and recognize letters but irregular. In the child's name and recognize letters are often reversed, as well as in writing letters. Class actions performed in 2 cycles. Data collection tool used in this study is a sheet of observation. The number of samples in this study were 20 children consisting of 7 boys and 13 girls. The ability of children recognize letters starting from prasiklus that the average value of 40.00%. Direkapitulasikan ability to recognize letters after children in the first cycle obtained an average value of 51.33%. So the researchers went kesiklus II. Direkapitulasikan ability to recognize letters after children in the second cycle values obtained an average of 72.50%. Based on the analysis of the assessment process there was an increase of 2 cycles. Namely the increase that occurred before the action kesiklus I is 28.33%, Cycle I kesiklus II by 41.24%, and increased from the prior cycle to cycle II of 81.25%. From the results of these studies concluded that through the search for the missing letters game can improve children's ability to recognize letters B2 group Bagansiapiapi District of Bangko Rokan Hilir.Keywords: Recognize letters look for the missing letters

Abstract

Abstrack: This study aims to determine the effect of the addition of maltodextrin on the composition of instant powder drinks produced by jackfruit seeds (Arthocarpus Heterophyllus Lamk.) As a design of student worksheet (LKPD) for X11 grade biotechnology material. This study used a factorial Completely Randomized Design (RAL) method consisting of 5 treatments and 3 replications, namely protein content using (M0 = 0; M1 = 5%; M2 = 10%; M3 = 15%; M4 = 20%; and M5 = 25%), carbohydrate treatment (M0 = 0; M1 = 5%; M2 = 10%; M3 = 15%; M4 = 20%; and M5 = 25%), levels fat (M0 = 0; M1 = 5%; M2 = 10%; M3 = 15%; M4 = 20%; and M5 = 25%), as well as organoleptic tests (descriptive and hedonic). The results showed that the addition of maltodextrin to the levels of protein, fat, carbohydrate after the results of a variance test (Variant Analysis) showed that the addition of maltodextrin in the composition of instant powder drinks produced by jackfruit seeds had no significant effect. Then the DMRT test was not carried out at the level of 5%. However, the highest and best levels were obtained from protein, carbohydrate, fat, and organoleptic content, namely in the M5 treatment (25%). All scientific facts from the research can be used to design student worksheets (LKPD) on conventional biotechnology materials in class XII of high school using the project based learning (PPA) model. However, before the design of the LKPD is used on a broader scale it is recommended that a feasibility test be carried out on a limited scale.Key Words: jackfruit seeds, maltodextrin, student worksheet (LKPD).

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the students metacognitive ability on the material of the human reproductive system class IX, cognitive learning outcomes of students on the material of the human reproductive system class IX and the correlation of students metacognitive abilities with students cognitive learning outcomes on the material of the human reproductive system of class IX at the SMPN 8 Pekanbaru. This research was conducts from September to October 2020. The sample in this study was 98 students of class IX SMPN 8 Pekanbaru. The metacognitive ability instrument was distributed through a closed questionnaire, all questionnaire items are valid and reliable with Cronbarch Alfa reliability coefficent of 0.94. the data collected were analyzed using SPSS version 23.00 for windows. The results of data analysis showed that students metacognitive abilities got an average score of 50.1 in the category of starting of develop. Cognitive learning outcomes of students get an average value of 49.02 with less category. There is a correlation between metacognitive ability and cognitive learning outcomes of students on the material of the human reproductive system for class IX SMPN 8 Pekanbaru with a correlation coefficient (rcount) of 0.497 in the medium category.Key Words: Correlation, Metacognitive Ability, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of fermentation time and roasted rice concentration on the quality of Pangas catfish (Pangasius sp.) and produce a booklet design on the conventional biotechnology concept of class XII SMA. This type of research is a quantitative research. The research was conducted in 2 stages. The first stage, namely the experimental stage, is the stage of making Pangas catfish marks. The method used was an experiment with a completely randomized design (CRD) with a 3x3 factorial pattern with 3 replications of the concentration of roasted rice and fermentation time. The fermentation time was 7 days, 14 days, and 21 days and the roasted rice concentration was 40%, 50%, 60%. The research parameters were fat content, protein content and pH. Furthermore, the second stage, namely the design of the booklet, includes the analysis and design stages. The results showed that the duration of fermentation and the concentration of roasted rice affected the quality of Pangas catfish (Pangasius sp.) Marks with the parameters of fat content, protein content and pH where the best quality of catfish (Pangasisus sp) was found in the T3P3 treatment (21 days of fermentation. and roasted rice concentration of 60%) which has a fat content of 1.4661%, a protein content of 10, 7841%, a pH value of 3.3. Based on the potential analysis, the research results can be used as a Booklet Design for Conventional Biotechnology Material for class XII SMA.Key Words: Booklet, fermentation time, roasted rice, Pangasius sp

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is (i) to find out the learning styles and disciplines of learning for MTsN 1 Pekanbaru students; (ii) to know the correlation between learning styles and learning disciplines by the score of sciences lesson of Students Grade VIII MTsN 1 Pekanbaru. This research was conducted in June-November 2018. The sample used in this study was Grade VIII.9 students and Grade VIII.10 totaling 64 students by purposive sampling technique. The instruments used were learning style questionnaires and study discipline questionnaires. Furthermore, the data was analyzed descriptively and analyzed by product moment correlation analysis at the level of 5% with the student learning result. The results of this study showed that (i) the learning style of Grade VIII.9 students is dominated by the type of kinesthetic learning style and Grade VIII.10 dominated by the type of auditory learning style; (ii) learning discipline students of Grade VIII.9 are in the less category and Grade VIII.10 are in the good category; (iii) for the Grade VIII.9 there is a correlation between learning styles and learning disciplines with student sciences result with the score of correlation coefficient by 0.505 in the medium category on circulatory system material and in the excretion system material by 0.698 strong categories. Whereas in the Grade VIII.10 there is a correlation between learning styles and learning disciplines with student sciences result with the score of correlation coefficient by 0.677 in the strong category of circulation system material and in the excretion system material by 0.724 strong categories.Key Words: Correlation, Learning Style, Learning Discipline, Learning Result.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is a classroom action research aims at increasing Biology learning activities and outcomes in cognitive class XI science 3 Darul Hikmah Islamic Senior High School Pekanbaru through the Application of Numbered Head Cooperative Learning Model Together (NHT) is assisted by fortune wheel props. The subject of this study was students of class XI Science 3 Darul Hikmah Islamic Senior High School Pekanbaru 2018/2019 academic year, totaling 19 students, all of whom were male. Student learning activity data was obtained from the observation activity learning sheet assessed by the observer. Biology learning outcomes in the cognitive domain are seen from the absorption and completeness of learning. The results of this study indicate that student learning activities increased by a percentage of 80.26 (sufficient category) in the first cycle and increased to 87.9 (good category) in cycle II. The absorption of students also increased from cycle I to cycle II from 79.95 (enough category) to 86.95 (good category). Student completeness increased from cycle I to cycle II, with completeness percentage 78.95% (enough category) to 100% (very good category). From the results of this study it can be concluded that the Application of the Cooperative Learning Model Numbered Head Together (NHT) assisted by the Wheel of Fortune Props can improve the activities and learning outcomes of Biology in the cognitive domain of class XI Science 3 Darul Hikmah Islamic Senior High School Pekanbaru.Key Words: NHT Type Learning Model, Wheel of Luck, Learning Activities, Cognitive learning outcomes
