Abstract

The star spectrum is an information which is though to be a map of the star. The shape of the spectral line actually shows the nature of the star atmosphere, which is the only part researcher can be reached. The intensities of spectral lines will determine the chemical composition of the stars contained in the atmospheres of the stars. The approach used to determine the chemical composition and the effective temperature of the star is spectroscopy. The spectroscopy method had been done in this study using the GAO-ITB RTS telescope system which consisting of the Celestron C11 telescope, NEO-R 1000 spectrograph and CCD SBIG ST-8 camera. The object studied is Vega (α Lyr) star which has a magnitude of 0.00 that the main sequence star of the A0 spectrum class. The image data obtained then be processed using IRAF software to obtain the final spectrum graph with the y-axis representing the flux in erg cm-2s-1 and the x-axis representing the wavelength in units of Å. Furthermore, we match the absorption wavelength on the final spectrum graph to the existing wavelength of the Atomic Spectra Database (ASD) to identify the atmospheric chemical composition of the Vega star. Effective temperature can be calculated by using the Wien shifting laws by find out the maximum wavelength of the final spectrum graph. The most found element in the atmosphere of Vega star was hydrogen (H) that consist of Hε,  Hδ, Hγ, Hβ, and Hα. The value of effective temperature of the Vega star is 7136 K that has difference percentage of 22.85 % from the mean temperature of  A type star.

Abstract

Speckle contrast visualization and heart rate pulses on rats induced with alloxan were successfully carried out. This research aims to visualize speckle contrast measurements using the Scikitimage program and analyze the relationship between speckle contraston rats to blood sugar levels and also to determine the effect of alloxan induced on heart rate frequency in rats. This study obtained speckle pattern image data from rats induced by alloxan with variations in concentrations of 35%, 55% and without alloxan for 12 days of treatment. The sample used were3 to 5 months old. The method conducted in speckle contrast visualization was using blob detection with Laplacian of Gaussian algorithm to obtain speckle contrast values while the visualization of heart rate pulse based on Arduino Uno was done using the Integrated Development Environment (IDE) program. The results obtained from image processing using the Scikitimage program show that the contrast value could achieved decreasing with increasing blood sugar levels and the results obtained for detection of heart rate was the greater the blood sugar level the greater the heart rate (beat per minute) measured.

Abstract

ZnO material coated with Cu + Ag was successfully grown using seed mediated hydrothermal method at a temperature of 90° C for 8 hours with a variation of concentration of Ag, 10 mM, and 20 mM. The growth of ZnO nanomaterials was carried out on the FTO substrate (Flourine Tin Oxide). The Samples were characterized using, Field Emission Scanning Microscope (FESEM), and X-ray Diffraction (XRD). The FESEM photos show ZnOnanorod  coated with Cu + Ag have grown on FTO having a nanoflower shape that consructed from ZnOnanorods with their orientation . The XRD pattern shows five peaks at 2θ: 31.69 °; 34.36 °; 36,18 °; 47.52 °; and 56.4 °. Based on the results of the analysis of the OriginPro 8 program each peak in a row according to the crystal orientation (100), (002), (101), (012), and (110). The stongest line was found in the crystal plane (101). DSSC was fabricated using ZnO nanomaterial coated with Cu + Ag as active material, N719 dye, liquid electrolyte, and plastisol as catalyst on the counter electrode. The results of I-V measurements at halogen lamp with ilumination its intensity of 100 mW/cm2 of the cells has producedthe highest efficiency value based on Cu coated ZnO was based DSSC 0,98% with a Cu concentration of20mM.These results show that the addition of Cu layer can increase the efficiency of DSSC based on ZnO by 123% compared to ZnO without Cu based DSSC. Addition of Ag to active material of Cu coated ZnO nanomaterial did not have a positive effect on the efficiency of DSSC cells.

Abstract

ZnO nanostructures coated Cu (Copper) have been successfully grown using a method of seed mediated hydrotermal. The growth of Cu coated ZnO nanostructures were used as an active material of DSSC. The Cu on ZnO nanostructures has been coated at a concentration of 10 mM at room temperature in 30 minutes. The samples were characterized using Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (FESEM), Energy Dispersive X-ray (EDX). The FESEM images showed that the geometrical shape of ZnO nanostructures was nanoflower. Spectra of EDX showed Cu was really exist in all samplesof about 0.8%. A DSSC was fabricated by using the ZnO nanostructured coated Cu as an active material.The results of I-V measurements under iluminattion of halogen lamp its intensity of 100 mW/cm2 has produced efficiency 0.35% (DSSC without copper) and increasedto 0,43% whenCuwas coated on ZnO.

Abstract

This research was conducted on 26 January to 16 February 2016 in Seberang Taluk village of Kuantan Tengah Subdistrict at Kuantan Singingi Regency in Riau Province. Its was aimed to  identify the factor of changes in household livelihood of fishermen in Indragiri watershead and to assess the changes of household livelihood of fishermen in Indragiri watershead as well as to determine the relationship of the factors influencing the change of livelihood. The method used by survey methods, households have changed fisherman fishing livelihoods by seeking in sectors other than fisheries. Based on the research results can be explained that fishermen livelihoods changes caused by internal factors and exsternal. The change of which occurred significantly from the preparatory phase to the growth phase, Characteristics with real changes of fishermen household the livelihoods are age which have relationship with income and with the job opportunities,  are age which have relationship relationships  with sanitation, and hygiene, and the outpouring of working  hours relationships with food consumption.

Abstract

Mangrove ecosystem is a very important resource for the continuity of community life in coastal areas. Mangrove ecosystem in the coastal area of downstream Rokan district has decreased mangrove area because it is used as a pond area to reduce the production of mangrove litter as an ecological function that can be a carrying capacity of coastal capture fisheries. However, the use of coastal areas as pond areas provides economic benefits for aquaculture. This study aims to calculate the economic value of the Rokan Hilir Coastal mangrove ecosystem. This research was conducted in March-April 2019 in the survey method. Analysis to calculate the total economic value of the mangrove ecosystem is NET=ML+MTL+MP. The results showed the total economic benefit value of Rokan Hilir mangrove forest reached IDR 98.697.950.594 / year was a direct benefit value of IDR 701,425,106 / year, indirect benefits were obtained at IDR 94,606,056,000 / year, and the optional benefits reached IDR 3,512,126,520 / year. Mangrove ecosystems are ecosystems that provide many benefits to the Rokan Hilir Coastal community, so this ecosystem is highly expected to be sustainable.

Abstract

Coastal ecosystems on small islands have a large enough pressure to be inversely proportional to a large island due to various resource capabilities and limited supporting factors. Mangrove is one of the ecosystems on the coast of a small island that is susceptible to disturbance because it is close to human activities. This study aimed to determine the mangrove ecosystem management strategy on the coast of the Siak Regency. The research was conducted from July to August 2020 using survey and interview methods. Data analysis used the Analytical Hierarchy Process to determine the mangrove management strategy. The results showed that community involvement is a priority for managing sustainable mangrove ecosystems with the assistance of the Government and NGOs. Management priority factors, namely ecology, while still paying attention to economic, social, institutional, and technological concerns.

Abstract

The Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program, which the Ministry of Education and Culture has launched, a study program is needed that is ready to implement the MBKM program in the curriculum of the study program. For this reason, the MBKM program needs to be disseminated to all state universities and private universities to prepare themselves to implement this government program. Not all universities have the resources to socialize the implementation of MBKM activities in their respective campuses. For this reason, it is necessary to propose Community Service (PKM) activities by the Universitas Riau team for helping the government to socialize the MBKM Program to Private Universities in Riau Province. Especially for universities that are far from the reach of assistance by the central government through the PKM Postgraduate funds of the Universitas Riau. Therefore, this PKM activity chose private partner universities, namely the Indragiri Islamic University (UNISI) in Tembilahan, Indragiri Hilir Regency, Riau Province. The PKM Team conducts MBKM activities in the form of counselling at partner universities in Tembilahan. The activity preparation period to activity reporting is carried out for eight weeks. The target of the resulting activity is the implementation of outreach activities and socialization of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) Program at UNISI and the documentation of UNISI's MBKM activities through social media and scientific publications.

Abstract

Universitas Riau sebagai salah satu lembaga penyelenggara pendidikan tinggi di Provinsi Riau mempunyai kewajiban untuk meningkatkan mutu dan professionalisme guru sebagai tenaga pendidik di sekolah. Melalui kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat sudah banyak kegiatan yang telah dilakukan. Salah satunya adalah kegiatan yang telah kami lakukan di Kabupaten Pelalawan. Kami dari Jurusan Matematika FMIPA Universitas Riau melakukan kegiatan pelatihan penggunaan software Maple guru untuk meningkatkan pemahaman guru dalam materi teori bilangan dan aljabar. Agar lebih menarik materi pelatihan dikaitkan dengan materi Olimpiade Sains sehingga lebih menantang bagi guru peserta kegiatan. Pelaksanaan kegiatanpun lebih banyak workshop dari pada teori. Menggunakan laptop atau notebook masing-masing terlihat guru sangat menikmati kegiatan pelatihan yang dilakukan. Dalam empat hari kegiatan yang dilakukan kehadiran peserta adalah 100%. Sementara dari angket yang disebarkan 98% peserta merasa puas dengan adanya kegiatan ini . Kegiatan ini juga dapat dikatakan berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman guru dalam materi teori bilangan dan aljabar yaitu dengan melihat hasil pretes dan postes yang dilakukan. Lebih dari 97.5% peserta dapat menjawab dan menjelaskan dengan baik problem yang diberikan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : 1)  mengetahui  perbedaan kemampuan komunikasi matematis antara siswa yang pembelajarannya menggunakan model PBM dengan pembelajaran konvensional; 2) mengetahui interaksi antara model  PBM dengan level kemampuan terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa; 3) mengetahui  perbedaan kemampuan komunikasi matematis antara siswa yang pembelajarannya menggunakan model  PBM dengan pembelajaran konvensional ditinjau dari level tinggi, sedang, dan rendah; dan 4) mengetahui  perbedaan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa menggunakan model  PBM ditinjau dari level tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Penelitian ini termasuk ke dalam penelitian Quasi Experimen Design pretest-post-test control group design. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Pangkalan Kerinci. Instrumen penelitian adalah tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis (KKM) dengan analisis data digunakan yaitu uji-t, uji anova dua arah dan uji anova satu arah. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan : 1) terdapat perbedaan kemampuan komunikasi matematis antara siswa yang pembelajarannya menggunakan model  PBM dengan pembelajaran konvensional; 2) terdapat interaksi antara model PBM dengan level kemampuan terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa; 3) terdapat perbedaan kemampuan komunikasi matematis antara siswa yang pembelajarannya menggunakan model  PBM dengan pembelajaran konvensional pada kemampuan level tinggi, sedang, dan rendah; dan 4) terdapat perbedaan kemampuan komunikasi matematis menggunakan model  PBM ditinjau dari level tinggi, sedang, dan rendah.
