Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian/kajian ini adalah mengidentifikasi pola rantai pasok dan menganalisis nilai tambah pada setiap anggota rantai pasoknya; serta menganalisis rantai nilai pada pelaku usaha yang memperoleh keuntungan terbesar dan pihak terkait di Kabupaten Toba Samosir. Analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berupa analisis data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Analisis kualitatif dilakukan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis rantai nilai usaha ikan nila. Analisis kuantitatif dilakukan untuk menghitung biaya dan keuntungan yang digunakan untuk mengetahui nilai tambah usaha. Hasil dari penelitian/kajian ini adalah (1) pola aliran rantai pasok usaha ikan nila dimulai dari pembudidaya ikan sampai kepada konsumen. Anggota rantai pasok ikan nila terdiri dari pembudidaya ikan, pedagang pengumpul, pedagang pengecer, pengolah ikan Nila dan Fillet. (2) Besarnya nilai tambah yang didapat oleh setiap pelaku rantai pasok ikan nila adalah 22,59 % untuk pembudidaya ikan nila, 86,96% untuk pedagang pengumpul, 48% untuk pedagang pengecer, 42,59% untuk pengolah ikan nila, dan 12,61% untuk pengolah ikan nila fillet. (3) pelaku usaha yang memperoleh keuntungan terbesar pada rantai nilai adalah pedagang pengumpul yaitu sebesar Rp 25.507.513 per ton atau Rp. 25.510 per kilogram ikan nila dan terdapat keterkaitan antara seluruh pelaku rantai dengan melihat fungsi dan dampaknya terhadap pertambahan nilai ikan nila menjadi ikan asin dan ikan fillet.

JLSO 6(1):1-6.Succes of business development determined by the entrepreneur ability to develop ideas and search for business opportunities. Creativity in developing ideas is one of the most quality an entrepreneur should have in order to achieve business success. Entrepeneur can be achieve the quality if the have a clear orientation toward product and market. The purpose of this study is to detemermine the effect of entrepreneurship orientation on product performance of coffee agroindustry in Bukit tinggi. Sample for this study was token randomly as much as 30 coffee agroindustry in city of Bukit tinggi. The data were analized using regression analysis with independent variables of entrepreneurship orientation while the dependent variable was product performance. The result shows that variables include entrepreneurship orientation : goal, product creation, innovation and risk simultaneously affect the product performance. However, partially only innovation ability affect the product performance.

Abstract

Indonesia's biomass energy potential is estimated at around 49,810 MW and is very adequate for the development go renewable energy. An example of a biomass conversion technique is pyrolysis which converts biomass into bio-oil. The optimum temperature for the pyrolysis process is 300-600 0C. Parameters that affect the pyrolysis process such as pretreatment of the material, moisture content and particle size of the material, the composition of biomass compounds, the effect of temperature, heating rate, gas flow rate, type of pyrolysis, and pyrolysis reactor. This is a thermochemical technique in which biomass waste is converted into solid fuel (char), producer gas (syngas), and liquid (bio-oil) without oxygen in a reactor. This article contains a comprehensive review of biomass conversion techniques to bio-oil using the solar energy-based fast pyrolysis method. Furthermore, the exposure used was based on the publication source, year, origin country, research methodology, and focus area. Most research has been empirical and mainly focused on fast pyrolysis and its influencing factors. There are several studies, information, and research recommendations described in this article.

Abstract

Regional development was done before Indonesia's Independent day in 1945, but it still did not achieve the result as expected. The root cause of this problem is avoiding factors that influence regional development. The method used is an integrated review of research focused on regional development and competitiveness. This paper will discuss the external and internal factors of regional development to increase Indonesian position in regional competitiveness level. Internal factors related to regional development are management, resources, participation, local industry, infrastructure, technology, local policy, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Moreover, the external factors affecting regional development are the government, politics, market, and investment. Internal factors in regional development can be controlled; however, external factors are uncontrollable. Focusing on regional development to maintain competitive economic growth and become a competitive region should be put on innovation, entrepreneurship, and networking

Abstract

This study was aimed at describing the conditions and analyzing the influence of market orientation, entrepreneural orientation, and knowledge management through competitive superiority on the marketing performance of Coffee Processing MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) in Tanah Datar Regency. The type of data used was cross section data. Data were obtained from questionnaires and interviews to 87 respondents. Research variables include market orientation, entrepreneural orientation, knowledge management, competitive superiority, and marketing performance. Data were analyzed using the SEM (Structural Equation Model) analysis method using the SmartPLS 3.0 application. The results showed that MSMEs processing Coffee in Tanah Datar Regency had good market orientation, entrepreneural orientation, and knowledge management, high competitive superiority, but had a low marketing performance. Market orientation, entrepreneural orientation, and knowledge management affected the marketing perfomance. Competitive superiority did not affect the marketing performance. Market orientation and entrepreneural orientation did not affect the competitive superiority. Knowledge management showed a positive and significant relationship with the competitive superiority of the business. Competitive superiority did not show mediating impacts between market orientation, entrepreneural orientation, and knowledge management with marketing performance. Abstract

Abstrak Agroindustri gula merah tebu merupakan agroindustri yang mengolah tebu hasil perkebunan rakyat menjadi gula merah (Saka). Pasokan bahan baku dan pengolahannya yang masih tradisional menimbulkan berbagai masalah dalam pengembangannya termasuk risiko rantai pasoknya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi sumber dan faktor risiko serta melakukan evaluasi dan pengendalian risiko yang dianalisis menggunakan ANP (Analytical Network Process) serta wawancara mendalam dengan pakar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa produksi (24,42%) merupakan sumber risiko utama dan diikuti risiko pemasaran (20,19%), risiko sumber daya manusia (18,75%), risiko finansial (18,37%) dan risiko kelembagaan (18,27%). Penilaian terhadap prioritas jenis risiko yang potensial terjadi adalah risiko kualitas produk, fluktuasi harga dan kebijakan pemerintah. Faktor OKP (Operational Key Process) menjadi prioritas utama dalam manajemen rantai pasok Saka dengan lebih ditekankan pada perbaikan manajemen produksi (41,17%). Alternatif utama dalam pengendalian risiko yang akan dilakukan adalah dengan cara melemahkan risiko (42,21%). Hal ini dapat dilakukan dengan perbaikan kualitas bahan baku dan teknologi pengolahan Saka serta dukungan pemerintah termasuk dalam menjaga stabilitas harga Saka.Kata kunci: analytical network process, gula merah tebu, manajemen risiko, rantai pasok Abstract Brown Sugar cane agroindustry is agroindustry that traditionally processes sugar cane supplied by farmers into brown sugar (Saka). This condition creates various problems in its development, including its supply chain risk. This study aims to identify sources and risk factors as well as evaluate and control risks analyzed using ANP (Analytical Network Process)and in-depth interviews with experts. The results showed that production (24,42%) was the main risk and was followed by marketing risk (20,19%), human resources risk (18,75%), financial risk (18,37%) and institutional risk (18,27%). An assessment of the potential types of risks is the risk of product quality, price fluctuations, and government policies. OKP (Operational Key Process) factor is a top priority in Saka supply chain management with more emphasis on improving production management (41.17%). The main alternative in risk control will be carried out by weakening the risk (42.21%). This will be done by improving the quality of raw materials, improving the manufacture technology of Saka, and government support, including to keep the stability of Saka's prices. Abstract

Kompor surya memanfaatkan energi matahari untuk menghasilkan energi panas untuk proses memasak. Cahaya matahari dipantulkan dan diubah menjadi energi panas melalui konsentrator surya, cahaya difokuskan menjadi satu titik pada wadah kompor pemasak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah melakukan desain kompor surya, melakukan uji kinerja dan mengetahui pengaruh waktu, daya energi matahari terhadap suhu yang dihasilkan pada kompor surya dengan menggunakan thermocouple tipe K. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah perancangan struktural dan fungsional alat, pembuatan komponen alat dan pengujian kinerja kompor surya. Komponen kompor surya diantaranya adalah konsentrator parabola dish, dudukan kompor, rangka penyangga, kaki tumpuan, kompor, thermocouple tipe K dan Arduino. Kompor surya yang dirancang menggunakan konsentrator surya parabola yang dilengkapi dengan sistem kontrol. Suhu yang dihasilkan oleh konsentrator parabola berbeda-beda karena tergantung pada cahaya matahari, titik fokus yang dihasilkan oleh konsentrator dan kecepatan angin pada saat pengujian. Intensitas cahaya matahari pada saat pengujian adalah antara 1098 – 1344 W/m2, dan kecepatan angin 0,2 – 0,5 m/s. Rentang suhu selama proses pemasakan adalah 84 sampai 116 0C dan waktu pemasakan antara 3,48 sampai 5,38 menit.

Abstract

The aim of the paper is to investigate the experience and to identify the drivers of the transformation of traditional Islamic Universities into Entrepreneurial Islamic Universities to ensure the sustainability of Islamic Universities in West Sumatra. Due to its wide scope, characteristics of Entrepreneurial University, this research study is limited and focuses on universities that provide students with access to business facilities, business relations for students, and the university's openness to collaboration with students. its external stakeholders. An analysis of the experience of the IAIN Bukittinggi infrastructure university in providing services to students, as well as collaboration between Islamic universities and local governments and entrepreneurs shows a flat trend. On the other hand, such a trend cannot be observed for establishing an Entrepreneurial University at IAIN Bukittinggi over the past 5 years. The survey results indicate the need for higher efforts to assist young entrepreneurs in building cooperative networks and strengthening the co-creation of knowledge with external stakeholders.

Abstract

Produktivitas dan harga jeruk yang fluktuatif mengindikasikan adanya risiko produksi dan harga pada komoditi ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat risiko produksi dan harga jeruk dan mengetahui tindakan manejemen yang dilakukan petani setempat dalam menghadapi risiko yang dihadapi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survei dan metode analisis data sekunder. Untuk menganalisis data sekunder pada penelitian ini digunakan pendekatan koefisien variasi.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai koefisien varisasi dari risiko produksi adalah 0,38 dan koefisien variasi harga adalah 11,4 yang berarti bahwa tingkat risiko produksi dan harga yang dihadapi oleh petani jeruk setempat tergolong kecil. Tindakan manajemen risiko yang telah dilakukan oleh petani setempat adalah yang pertama, penghindaran risiko yang meliputi memilih bibit yang berlabel, cek pH tanah sebelum tanam, dan menerapkan jarak tanam 5x5 meter atau lebih. Yang kedua adalah pengendalian risiko yang meliputi, kegiatan pengolahan lahan yang tepat sesuai dengan SOP penanaman jeruk, melakukan penyiraman tanaman, melakukan pemangkasan, melakukan penjarangan buah, melakukan pemupukan, melakukan penyemprotan, menjaga kebersihan kebun, melakukan penyemprotan dengan pestisida kontak, melakukan kultur teknis, dan grading. Yang ketiga adalah menanggung risiko, yaitu ketika menghadapi hama kera dan hujan yang lama dengan cara membuat jalan darurat untuk mobilisasi panen.

Abstract

This research was conducted in Tapsel Regency, North Sumatra for 8 months starting in April 2018, in 24 villages located in 4 sub-districts out of 14 sub-districts, determined by the Multistage Sampling Technique. Determination of respondents by purposive sampling technique. The respondents observed were 112 sugar palm farmers. Determination of respondents by purposive sampling technique. Research objectives: To describe the conditions and perceptions of sugar palm farmers in relation to the development of sugar palm agro-industry institutions. Data analysis techniques: Descriptive Analysis. Arranged variables; variable Y; Agroindustry Institutions, and variable X consists of 1. Human Resources, 2. Interaction, 3. Motivation, 4. Farmer Participation, and 5. Socio-Economic. Measured through 14 parameters spread over 49 lists of structured questions on the questionnaire. Farmers' responses to the questionnaire were assessed using a Likert Scale to identify and interpret the conditions and perceptions of sugar palm farmers. The results of the research produce recommendations: 1. Instilling confidence in sugar palm farmers, is important 2. Socialization is needed to sugar palm farmers, for example about; standard price of palm sugar, the technology used and the performance of the agro-industry. 3. The issue of agro-industry institutional leaders must go through a separate study.
