Abstract

Kabupaten Pasaman Barat, khususnya Kecamatan Kinali, Pasaman dan Luak Nan Duo merupakan daerah yang memiliki potensi jagung yang cukup tinggi. Pengembangan usaha jagung, khususnya petani jagung terkendala dalam masa tanam yang sifat tanamnya musiman, dalam jaminan kesinambungan kualitas produk, ketepatan waktu pengiriman produk yang menjadi kendala pada proses distribusi jagung kepada konsumen. Penanggulangan masalah ketersediaan jagung untuk bahan baku pakan ternak memerlukan kajian terhadap dinamika komoditas jagung, dapat dilihat melalui suatu rantai kegiatan. Jagung pada umumnya dikonsumsi dalam bentuk pipilan, akan tetapi ini diperuntukkan untuk konsumsi peternakan ayam petelur. Petani sebagai pelaku utama dalam hal ini umumnya tidak mendapat keuntungan yang optimal, karena semakin panjang sebuah rantai pasok maka akan memperlemah posisi tawar petani. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu menggambarkan ranyai pasok jagung untuk pakan ternak di Kabupaten Pasaman Barat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survey dengan analisis data kuantitatif dengan menggunakan analisis profil rantai pasok menggunakan kerangka Food Supply Chain Network (FSCN). Sampel yang diambil yaitu petani sebanyak 75 orang, pedagang pengumpul 12 orang dan pedagang besar 1 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 3 pola saluran rantai pasok, yaitu pola saluran 1 terdiri dari petani – pedagang pengumpul 1– pedagang besar – konsumen, saluran 2 terdiri dari petani – pedagang pengumpul 2– konsumen dan saluran 3 terdiri dari petani – pedagang besar – konsumen. Aliran produk pada proses bisnis rantai pasok jagung mulai dari petani, pedagang pengumpul 1 dan 2 serta pedagang besar disini belum terlaksana dengan baik, karena tidak adanya siklus yang pasti untuk waktu pengiriman maupun kuota yang akan dikirim nantinya kepada konsumen akhir karena tidak dapat diprediksi jumlah yang akan dikirim.

Abstract

Islamic universities have the belief and view that start-up activities create demand that will boost the economy. However, entrepreneurial activities have not developed in universities. This paper attempts to analyze the findings of a survey-based study of students receiving entrepreneurship education at IAIN Sjech M. Djamil Djambek Bukittinggi in West Sumatra. The main objective of this research is to compare management attitudes and students' attitudes towards entrepreneurship within the framework of cultural studies. Methodology/approach: using ratio measurement in quantitative research. For example, the sample will be asked to decide whether- those who are self-employed are seen as 1=failures, 2=not failures but also failures, 3=very successful. To ensure maximum reliability and validity, the questionnaire was administered in person. The Thurstone scale method with intervals used to evaluate quantitative research is the same. The results of the study show that the main difficulties in setting up and starting a business at UIN Sjech M. Djamil Djambek Bukittinggi are cultural and activity perceptions. Prospective Entrepreneurs/entrepreneurs who graduate from UIN Sjech M. Djamil Djambek Bukittinggi must build sustainable networks and relationships during and after creating a new business. Entrepreneurship education will be an important subject for Islamic tertiary institutions, so it is important to establish culturally adapted programs.

Abstract

Brown sugar (saka) is one of alternative goods to fill sugar demand in Indonesia. This product is mainly produced by local agroindustries that disperse in many regions, one of the location is in Tanah Datar Regency. The aims of this study are to describe the marketing mix and to analyze the relation between marketing mix and selling volume of brown sugar in Tanah Datar Regency. Variables of this research are 4P of marketing mix and selling volume. The data is collected from farmer who produced traditionally, that spread in three district, then using quantitative analyze. The result of this research shows that product is molded by piece of coconut shell (diameter: 3-5 cm), the color is brown, reddish and yellowish, the selling price about Rp 10.000 - 15.000/Kg, and distributted through collecting traders or directly sold in market, and also have no promotion yet. The result of Chi Square analyze shows that there are relation between selling price variable with product variable, whereas place/ distribution variable is not.

Abstract

The growing number of coffee agro-industries, the increase of consumers’ interest in coffee, and the challenges of industrial revolution 4.0, are driving demand for improving coffee agro-industry business. It encourages entrepreneurs to develop their entreprenuerial skills. This study aims to analyze the entrepreneurial spirit of the coffee agro-industry’s entrepreneur in Bukittinggi city in encountering industrial revolution 4.0. Bukittingi was selected as the study area due to leading tourist destinations in West Sumatera and its coffee agro-industry known as "Rang Bukik Apik". This research used survey method. Thirty coffee agro-industry entreprenuers were selected by simple random sampling technique. The research found that of 15 indicators assessed, the average of all indicator’s summary is 82.49%. Coffee agro-industry actor in Bukittinggi are people who are willing to take all risks, always think about goals, confident, like a challenges, like to take full outhority over themselves, optimistic, happy to immerse themselves into a work, statisfied with their product, have a high standar for the quality of work, considers of that personal and professional development is more important than senses of calm, money and prestige, likes to work hard and can combine the power of reason and intusion. To conclude, coffee agro-industry’s entrepreneurs are characterized by their high entrepreneurial spirit and capability to develop their business through product innovation and manufacturing of value-added products. At the same time, these charactiristics would be able to support entrepreneurs in facing industrial revolution era 4.0 challenges.

Abstract

Penelitian   ini   dilaksanakan   di   Jorong   Pincuran   Tujuah,   Nagari   Batipuh   Baruah, Kecamatan Batipuh, Kabupaten Tanah Datar. Tujuan penelitian adalah 1) Menganalisis risiko produksi  yang  terjadi  pada  kopi  Robusta  di  Jorong  Pincuran  Tujuh,  2)  Mendeskripsikan manajemen risiko yang dilakukan oleh petani pada produksi kopi Robusta di Jorong Pincuran Tujuh. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dengan analisis data deskriptif kualitatif untuk tujuan pertama dan analisis kualitatif untuk tujuan kedua. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa terdapat sebanyak 11 sumber risiko produksi Kopi Robusta di Jorong Pincuran Tujuh. Berdasarkan analisis tingkat risiko produksi dengan menggunkan pemetaan risiko, risiko pada kuadran I adalah hama penggerek buah kopi, kurang dalam penyiangan, cuaca saat penjemuran dan semut. Strategi pengelolaan risiko yang dilakukan petani kopi Robusta di Jorong Pincuran tujuh adalah stategi preventif dengan melakukan penyemprotan prekor, penyiangan yang efektif dilakukan oleh beberapa petani, dan berburu.Kata kunci: risiko produksi, sumber risiko, manajemen risikoThis research was conducted in Jorong Pincuran Tujuah, Nagari Batipuh Baruah, Batipuh District, Tanah Datar District. The research objectives were 1) Analyzing the production risk that occurred in Robusta coffee in Jorong Pincuran Tujuh, 2) Describing the risk management carried out by farmers on Robusta coffee production in Jorong Pincuran Tujuh. This study uses a survey method with qualitative descriptive data analysis for the first purpose and qualitative analysis for the second objective. The results revealed that there were as many as 11 risk sources of Robusta Coffee production in Jorong Pincuran Tujuh. Based on an analysis of the level of production risk by using risk mapping, the risk in quadrant I is coffee fruit borer, less weeding, weather during drying and ants. The risk management strategies carried out by Robusta coffee farmers in Jorong Pincuran seven are preventive strategies by spraying precursors, effective weeding carried out by some farmers, and hunting. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) Mendeskripsikan usaha agroindustri kopibubuk di Nagari Koto Tuo, Kecamatan Sungai Tarab, Kabupaten Tanah Datar (2)Mengetahui pengaruh faktor-faktor produksi kopi bubuk di Nagari Koto Tuo,Kecamatan Sungai Tarab, Kabupaten Tanah Datar. Penelitian ini dilakukan diNagari Koto Tuo Kecamatan Sungai Tarab Kabupaten Tanah Datar. Pemilihanlokasi penelitian dilakukan dengan cara Purposive Sampling. Metode penelitianyang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan menggunakan amalisis regresilinearBerganda.Hasilpenelitianmenunjukkanbahwafaktor-faktoryangmempengaruhi produksi kopi bubuk adalah biji kopi, mesin roasting, kayu bakardantenagakerja.Sedangkanfaktoryangsecarasignifikanmempengaruhiproduksi kopi bubuk adalah bahan baku kopi. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the structure of income, household expenses and the level of welfare of corn farmers in Lareh Sago Halaban District, Fifty City District. The method used is a survey method with a total sample of 60 respondents. Data analysis is descriptive quantitative. The results showed that the average income of large farmers (land area > 1 ha) was Rp. 79,271,571/year, the largest income came from corn farming income, namely 47%. While the average income of medium farmers (land area 0.51-1 Ha) is Rp. 57,605,290,-/year, the biggest contributor to household income is non-corn and non-agricultural income with a respective percentage of 38%, and the average income of smallholder households (land area 0.1-0.5 Ha) is Rp. 50,376,508, -/year, the largest percentage comes from non-agricultural income, namely as much as 66%. The expenditure structure of corn farmer households consists of food expenditures, non-food expenditures and production costs expenditures. The average household expenditure of large, medium and small farmers respectively is Rp. 73,377,904, -/year, Rp. 53,189,260,-/year and Rp. 40,906,654,/year. Overall, the biggest expenditure for farmers is for food needs and the smallest is for production costs. The level of farmer welfare is measured by the income share of the agricultural sector by 72% for farmers with large land areas and 62% for farmers with medium land areas and the rest is income from the non-agricultural sector. Meanwhile, for smallholder farmers, 34% of their income is from the agricultural sector and 66% is income from the non-agricultural sector. The share of expenditure on food for farmer households for all farmer categories is <60%, meaning that corn farming households are included in the food security category. The average NTPRP> 1, it can be concluded that the welfare level of farmers is included in the prosperous group.

Abstract

Coconut is a superior product and is widely cultivated in the Padang Pariaman Region. The progress of the coconut agroindustry is predicted to have the ability to increase farmer motivation and coconut cultivation efficiency, thus stimulating the expansion of rural industries. The research aims to formulate a coconut milk agroindustry development strategy that is designed with a systems approach through the integration of coconut farming sub-systems and coconut processing sub-systems to maximize coconut farming profits and ensure the fulfillment of coconut milk agroindustry production capacity to support local food product industries. This research seeks to carry out a series of stages involving coconut farmers and coconut milk agroindustry players in Padang Pariaman, completing questionnaires by experts, SWOT analysis to identify and calculate the IFE and EFE weights of coconut milk agroindustry, and identification of strategies for developing coconut milk agroindustry through the application of AHP. Based on the research results, it was found that the coconut milk agroindustry development strategy through horizontal integration by establishing a coconut milk agroindustry that is integrated with farmers as suppliers of coconut granules to meet the demand for a supply of quality coconut milk for the local food product industry can be realized.

Abstract

Pengembangan agroindustri kelapa terintegrasi yang selaras dengan kebijakan daerah berbasis sumber daya alam, tenaga kerja dan teknologi yang memadai akan terus dilakukan guna mewujudkan keberlanjutan rantai pasok agroindustri kelapa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah merumuskan model konseptual sistem kemitraan petani kelapa dan agroindustri santan kelapa di Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. Tahapan penelitian ini terdiri dari wawancara ke petani kelapa dan pelaku agroindustri santan kelapa di Kabupaten Padang Pariaman dan pengisian kuesioner oleh pakar akademisi tentang keterkaitan antar elemen yang dibandingkan. Total responden yang diperlukan pada penelitian adalah 30 orang. Pengembangan sistem kemitraan menggunakan metode Interpretive Structural Modelling (ISM) untuk mendapatkan model struktur yang mengambarkan kompleksitas sistem kemitraan antara petani kelapa dan agroindustri santan kelapa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh strukturisasi sistem pengembangan kemitraan yang terdiri dari tumbuhnya kepercayaan dan kerjasama agroindustri dan petani kelapa, ketersediaan dana, terbatasnya fasilitas dan infrastruktur, pelaksanaan peraturan daerah terkait kemitraan belum optimal, konsistensi petani dalam menanam kelapa, penyiapan lahan dan bibit unggul kelapa, pelatihan teknologi budidaya, pola bercocok taman kelapa melalui Good Agriculture practise (GAP) dan kegiatan produksi santan kelapa melalui Good Manufacture Practise (GMP).

Abstract

Keberhasilan petani dalam melakukan usahatani terkait dengan kompetensi yang dimilikinya. Karakteristik dapat mempengaruhi seseorang dalam melakukan tindakan. Setiap petani memiliki karakteristik yang berbeda untuk memberikan dorongan dalam bertindak seperti petani kopi dalam melakukan usahatani kopi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan karakteristik petani kopi di Kecamatan Batipuh Selatan Kabupaten Tanah Datar. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif. Pengumpulan data diperoleh dari data primer melalui wawancara langsung dengan responden dan literatur lain. Variabel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu umur, pendidikan, jenis kelamin, pengalaman, dan kemauan keras untuk berhasil. Untuk menganalisis indikator kemauan keras untuk berhasil diukur dengan skala likert 1, 2, 3, 4, dan 5. Skor tertinggi (5) untuk jawaban yang sangat diharapkan sedangkan skor terendah (1) untuk jawaban yang sangat tidak diharapkan. Sebagian besar petani kopi di Kecamatan Batipuh Selatan termasuk kedalam golongan usia produktif. Tingkat pendidikan tertinggi petani kopi adalah Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) dan tingkat pendidikan petani paling banyak yaitu pada Sekolah Dasar (SD). Jumlah petani kopi laki-laki di Kecamatan Batipuh Selatan Kabupaten Tanah Datar lebih besar dari petani perempuan. Pengalaman petani dalam melakukan usahatani kopi rata-rata adalah 21 tahun. Petani kopi di Kecamatan Batipuh Selatan Kabupaten Tanah Datar memiliki keinginan untuk menghasilkan produk yang berkualitas.
