Abstract

Education on 4.1 era are much using the technological advances on Information and communication field. Internet technology is one of technology that allows everyone to do everywhere and anywhere learning or can be called as mobile learning. Learning by using mobile learning can support the development of education. At this time, students are required not only to produce high scores but also to understand the subject matter that has been taught, so that, it can be implemented in solving problems for everyday life. On the other hand, Students are required to be able to solve a problem with toughness. Therefore, students must have a theoretical foundation or concept that is in line with the facts and to create mature decisions. In sum to make the students to become people who always want to learn and learn.The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of using M-learning (mobile motion) on students’ understanding toward Motion System subject matter on XI Science Class. This study uses the Research and Development (RnD) design and the the technique used is a one shoot case study. The research was conducted at SMAN I Sendang Agung with 57 students as the research subject whom divided into 2 classes. The results of the study are as follows: (1) on the subject scoring by subject experts 84, 45% was obtained and 85.33% with very good criteria, and the scoring by media experts 85.49% was obtained and 89.91% with very good criteria so that the media confirmed valid. The score which obtained from students who have used M-Learning Application and then answer the understanding concept questions were obtained an average score 95.7 after being analyzed based on the predetermined Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM). The specified KKM value is 80. The result show that 94.73% students passed with the very high category. Therefore, it can be state that the use of m-learning (mobile motion) is effective on students understanding concepts.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of digital literacy and the complexity of students in the process of teaching and learning activities. In the learning process during PPKM (Enforcement of Community Activity Restrictions) students do online learning at home, often students who are not active are found. In this case, the teacher's role changes from the main role of providing information to being a facilitator in thinking, reflecting and collaborating findings. The use of PhET virtual laboratory media can help improve technological literacy. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of the Problem Based Leaning model assisted by the PhET virtual laboratory on student learning outcomes. PhET simulation is an interactive animation that is accessed online and offline using Java and Flash software. The method used is quantitative research with a one-shot case study design. Class X MIPA 7 was used as the experimental class and class X MIPA 8 was used as the control class. The effectiveness of the Problem Based Leaning model assisted by the PhET virtual laboratory in the experimental class obtained a classical completeness score of 83%, while the control class was far below the classical completeness value of 55%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze students' higher-order thinking on the material of the 2nd law of Thermodynamics. The subjects of this study were grade 12 students of SMAN 1 Jakenan for the academic year 2020/2021 as many as 127 students who had taken physics lessons on the material of the 2nd law of Thermodynamics. The selection of students using snowball sampling technique. The method of data collection in this study used a question instrument, and interviews. Based on the data from the test results, the researchers calculated the validity and reliability. Interviews are used to find out how students think further in solving problems. Interviews were only conducted to 15 students who were selected from the categories of high, medium, and low ability students based on the test results that had been given. The data analysis technique used is the Miles and Huberman model data analysis technique which includes three simultaneous activities: (1) data reduction (2) data presentation, and (3) conclusion drawing (verification). Based on the data analysis and discussion in this study, it can be concluded that the instrument used is a set of higher-order thinking ability assessment instruments to measure higher-order thinking skills in the form of 6 two-tier multiple choice questions and is given online due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Based on the validity and reliability tests, the content validity of the developed higher order thinking skills assessment instrument has a very decent category. The empirical validity of 100% of the questions is declared valid. The question instrument developed has declared reliable with high criteria. Based on the analysis that has been done, it can also be concluded that students who have high-level thinking skills and are able to solve existing problems correctly and are able to explain them. Meanwhile, students who have low-level thinking skills cannot answer correctly, only guess and do not know how to do it.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh implementasi model pembelajaran IPA berbasis kearifan lokal terhadap kreativitas dan hasil belajar siswa, serta mengetahui besar peningkatannya. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan quasi eksperimen. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas VII F sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VII B sebagai kelas kontrol di SMP Negeri 22 Semarang. Pemilihan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Aspek kreativitas yang diteliti terdiri atas kelancaran, keaslian, kesadaran dan ingatan yang diukur dengan lembar observasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji independent sample t-test didapatkan signifikansi data hasil belajar siswa sebesar 0,003 0,05 dan signifikansi data hasil observasi kreativitas sebesar 0,003 0,05. Artinya ada perbedaan kreativitas dan hasil belajar siswa yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Besar peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada kelas kontrol sebesar 0,56 kategori sedang, sedangkan pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,68 kategori sedang. Besar peningkatan kreativitas siswa pada kelas kontrol sebesar 0,55 kategori sedang, sedangkan pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,71 kategori tinggi. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa dengan model pembelajaran IPA berbasis kearifan lokal dapat meningkatkan kreativitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Pada penelitian ini nilai kearifan lokal yang diangkat yaitu Kalender Pranata Mangsa yang sudah tertanam di masyarakat Jawa. Implementation of Science Learning Model Based on Local Wisdom to Improve Creativity and Student Learning Outcomes AbstractThe aim of this study is to reveal the effect of the implementation of science learning model based on local wisdom to improve creativity and student learning outcomes, as well as knowing the magnitude of improvement. This research method uses quasi-experiment. The sample of this research is class VII F as an experimental class and VII B as control class in SMP Negeri 22 Semarang. Sample selection using purposive sampling technique. The aspects of creativity were constructing fluency, originality, awareness, and memory. Data were analyzed using independent sample t-test test the significance of the data obtained in student learning outcomes of 0,003 0,05 and the significance of the observation data from the creativity of 0.003 0.05. This means that there are differences in creativity and student learning outcomes significantly between the experimental class and control class. Great improvement of student learning outcomes in the control class of 0.56 which are medium category, while in the experimental class of 0.68 which are medium category. Great improvement of students' creativity in the control class of 0.55 which are medium category, while in the experimental class of 0.71 which are high category. The results of this study prove that the science learning model based on local wisdom can improve creativity and student learning outcomes. This study the value of local wisdom that is Calendar Pranata Mangsa already embedded in the Java communit.

Abstract

Education in the 21st century has entered the era of smartphone technology. The purpose of this research was to test the feasibility and the effectiveness of interactive mobile learning media supported with problem-based learning model to improve students’ HOTS  ability. The research and development (R & D)  with a 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The field testing was a quasi-experiment with a pretest and posttest control group design. The research subjects consisted of four lecturers as expert validators, two teachers and two groups of 72 students in a senior high school 2 Batang Regency, Central Java. Data collection techniques through questionnaires, observation, interviews, and written test. Product feasibility test by material experts get a score of 3.65, media experts with a score of 3.68 and student responses with a score 3.46 all in very good category. The results of the Normalized-gain test were 70.60 for the experiment group and 35.69 for the control group. This shows that there were differences in the increase of students' HOTS ability between the experiment group and the control group. Based on the results of the Multivariate Test on GLM with partial eta squared, it was found that this media made an effective contribution of 88.5% to improving students' HOTS abilities

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan salah satu negara di dunia yang kaya akan sumber daya mineral logam. Pegunungan Selatan Jawa Timur sampai Jawa Barat merupakan daerah yang berpotensi sebagai tempat pembentukan bahan galian mineral. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk identifikasi mineral mangan di Desa Pucung Kecamatan Eromoko Kabupaten Wonogiri. Metode yang digunakan menggunakan metode polarisasi terinduksi. Pengambilan data dilakukan menggunakan alat Syscal dengan konfigurasi dipole-dipole. Pengukuran dilakukan pada 2 lintasan dengan panjang lintasan 150 meter dan spasi eletroda 10 meter. Struktur bawah permukaan di daerah penelitian berdasarkan nilai resistivitas diindikasikan dari batulanau, batupasir tufan, batugamping napalan-tufan, dan batugamping. Mineral mangan diduga berasosiasi dengan batugamping mempunyai nilai resistivitas >10 Ωm dan nilai chargeabilitas >20 msec.

Abstract

The main analysis in developing assessment instruments is reliability and validity. A validity test is carried out to determine the appropriateness instrument that will be developed, both construction validity and content validity. The reliability test is to determine the level of consistency of the instrument that has been developed. This research was conducted to develop the HOTS ability to test items for high school students. The grid test instruments are arranged based on competence and HOTS indicators, which are then used to arrange items. The test instrument consisted of ten question items relating to the HOTS Thermodynamic Law problem, which included: 1) analyzing the magnitude of engine efficiency, work, heat, and internal energy changes, 2) evaluating Carnot's efficiency, and 3) creating a heat engine. The assessment of the instrument HOTS test obtained Aiken's V score in the range of 0.83 to 0.94, which is in the valid criteria. The validated instrument was piloted in 141 science grade XI student in High School 2 Batang, at Batang Regency, Central Java. The level difficulty of the Polytomous data was analyzed using the QUEST program for classical analysis and PARSCALE 4 for modern analytical theory based on the Partial Credit Model (PCM). The results of data analysis of the experimental items show that of the ten-question items, all are compatible with PCM. The reliability of the test instrument is 0.84, and the item difficulty level is in the range of 0.83 to 1.22. Information functions and Standard Error Measurement (SEM) indicate that test questions developed reliably to measure HOTS students' ability with an average category in -1.9 <θ <+1.7 logit scale with SEM ± 0.5.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the feasibility and effectiveness of experiment media based on Internet of Things (IoT) to enhance the students' HOTS ability on thermodynamics law material. This Research and Development comprises of the following stages: (1) defining needs, (2) designing products, (3) developing products, and (4) disseminating products. Four expert lecturers and two physics teachers serve as the validator. The limited trial subjects consisted of six students of class XI MIPA SMAN 1 Pekalongan; the field test subjects consisted of 108 students who were randomly selected from all XI MIPA classes at SMAN 2 Batang, and the disseminating subjects were teachers of MGMP physics in Batang. The instruments used were expert validation questionnaires, teacher response questionnaires, student response questionnaires, and written tests. The results of the validation of media experts were 3.81 (very good), and material experts were 3.54 (very good). Meanwhile, the results of teacher responses were 3.92 (very good), and the results of student responses were 3.50 (very good). The effective contribution of the IoT-based experimental media to improve the ability of HOTS can be seen from the results of the Multivariate Test analysis on GLM based on the partial eta squared value of 85.9%. This shows that experiment media based on IoT is feasible and effective to enhance the students’ HOTS ability.

Abstract

Studies that reveal the patterns of problem solving have been widely practiced, but there is no studies have revealed a pattern of problem solving based on personality types especially in the field of physics. The aims of this study are to determine the patterns of physics problem solving based on student personality type. The method that used in this research is descriptive qualitative research with Investigation of Lived Experience type. Subjects in this study are 12th-grade science programs students of MAN 1 Banyumas that was determined by a stratified sampling approach. This sampling divides students into homogeneous groups based on Keirsey's four personality types, they are Guardian, Artisan, Rational and Idealist. Each personality type was chosen by nine students as the subject of the study which was determined using a purposive sampling technique. The results showed that the pattern of physics problem solving between Idealist, Artisan, Guardian, and Rational students consecutively are conceptual problem solving, intuitive-analogic problem solving, intuitive problem solving, and analogic problem solving.

Abstract

This study aims to see the level of creativity of students in making dynamic fluid material props. Subjects who were given treatment were 11th-grade students of the 2019/2020 academic year at MA Nudia in Semarang City. The method used is a quantitative method with the instrument used, namely a questionnaire given via Google form. The questionnaire analysis was prepared based on William's creative indicators. These indicators are creative person, creative process, and creative product. The results of the assistance obtained are personal indicators that get creative predicate, indicators that get very creative predicate, creative indicators that get creative predicate, and product indicators that get very creative predicate. Of the four hands, it can ignore that the subject-categorized as very innovative and creative in students can be seen using simple teaching aids on dynamic fluid material.
