Abstract

The formulation of the problem to be studied in this small study were (1) how theclassification of the vocabulary of students in the industrial area, and (2) how thecharacteristics antarjenis comparison of vocabulary in the field of existing industriesin student essays? This study aims to obtain: (1) picture of the environment in theindustrial area students who live in the industrial area, (2) characteristics antarjeniscomparison of vocabulary in an existing industrial area on student essays. The sourcedata of this study is student writing an industrial theme. The paper was prepared byelementary school students with a number of words ranged from 100 to 250 words.Elementary school students who take the data were elementary school students inrural industries in the city of Semarang. Data collection technique is done throughrefer, interviews, and record. The tool used is the data card and questionnaire sheet.The results of this study indicate that the vocabulary of the field of industry tend to usethe students can be classified following: (1) industry-related vocabulary withindustrial activity, (2) industry-related vocabulary with the impact caused byindustrial activity, (3) vocabulary which the industrial field related to diseases causedby industrial activities, (4) vocabulary in addition to industry vocabulary.With a totalvocabulary of the industrys most widely used by students is the vocabulary that has anegative perception.Kata Kunci : kosakata, budaya lokal, kawasan industri

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop the Indonesian coursebooks which contain cross-cultural politeness. The method of the research is Research and Development (R&D). The sources of data are teachers, parents of students, and undergraduate students of elementary school, junior high school, and senior high school in Semarang, Purwokerto, and Sukoharjo. The research instruments of this study are interview, observation, and questionnaire. The results of this study show that: (1) cross-cultural politeness is manifestated in some performative sentences, statements of preference, and the formulation of recommendations in the speech act, (2) the products of this research are: a course book of polite usage of Indonesian language, a handbook of writing polite Indonesian language, and CD of teaching material. The feasibility of the products has been assessed by experts of teaching and ICT.

Abstract

Keterampilan menulis paragraf peserta didik belum mendapatkan hasil yang maksimal. Guru masih kesulitan dalam mengajarkan menulis paragraf, sedangkan peserta didik kesulitan dalam memunculkan ide atau gagasan dan kurang menguasai keterampilan mikrobahasa. Penanaman nilai karakter pada peserta didik juga perlu dilakukan sejak dini. Oleh karena itu, model pembelajaran induktif dikembangkan dalam pembelajaran menulis paragraf dengan media gambar seri yang bermuatan nilai-nilai karakter. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana kebutuhan pengembangan, prinsip-prinsip pengembangan, desain, dan keefektifan model pembelajaran induktif dengan media gambar seri yang bermuatan nilai karakter untuk meningkatkan kompetensi menulis paragraf peserta didik kelas III SD. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Research and Development (R&D) dari Borg and Gall (Sugiono 2009:298), kemudian disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan penelitian, yang meliputi tiga langkah, yaitu (1) studi pendahuluan dan awal pengembangan, (2) pengembangan, dan (3) pengujian/validasi. Dalam pengembangan model pembelajaran, produk yang dibutuhkan yaitu produk yang dikembangkan dengan menarik dan disesuaikan dengan kondisi peserta didik. Selain itu, penilaian diberikan oleh dosen ahli dan guru dengan perolehan nilai rata-rata berkategori baik, serta efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran.Paragraphs writing skills of students has not gotten maximum results yet. Teachers still has difficulties in teaching paragraphs writing, whereas students has difficulties in generating ideas or concepts and less skills in microlanguage mastery. Planting the value of the character on the learners also needs to be done early. Therefore, inductive learning model is developed in learning to write paragraphs with the help of the media image series which contains character values. The problem in this research is how the needs of the development of model, principles of model, design model, and effectiveness of inductive learning model with the media image series which contains character values to improve the competence of class III SD students in writing paragraphs. The design of this research is Research and Development (R&D) by Borg and Gall (Sugiyono 2009:298), then adapted to the needs of research, which includes three stages, namely (1) a preliminary survey, (2) development, and (3)test expert/ validation. In the development of model of teaching, the required product is a product developed with attractive packaging and adjusted to the learners. In addition, the assessment given by expert lecturers and teachers with an average value acquisition categorized as well, and effective to use in learning.

Abstract

A learning process is perceived as meaningful if it is directly or indirectly related to the experience of the environment experienced by the students. Therefore, the constructive learning environment model is considered as suitable for developing the learning process, especially in learning listening skill. This study uses R & D as the research method for assessing the suitability of the of the students’ perception witht the learning models that have already exist. As a result, this model can be used as a constructive learning environment model that is able to optimize the process of listening skill. Moreover, it can directly infuse moral values that exist in the listening process. Thus, the constructive learning environment model can address the needs of the students in learning listening skill.

Abstract

This article aims to describe story profile which can improve emotional intellegence of cognate growth phase child of concrete operational. This Research subjek consist of: (a) cognate growth phase child of concrete operational and (b) narrator (in this case teacher). The Research was conducted in Semarang Town. The Instruments in this research are: (1) instrument to know story profile enthused by cognate growth phase child of concrete operational, (2) instrument to measure emotional intellegence of cognate growth phase child of concrete operational be- fore and after getting story based on figure function analysis at child story, (3) instrument to know executed narrating profile by narrator (teacher). Telling a story, based on figure function analysis in the reality can give picture and assist activity of telling a story that can develop emotional intellegence. The mentioned seen from tendency the increasing of emotional intellegence of child. Narrating execu- tion shall pay attention psychological aspect of child, including type, way of, theme, figure, path, and story background; existence of interaction braid in course of nar- rating between narrator and hearer; and giving of follow-up having a meaning of to child. Key words: children story, narrating, and emotional intellegence.

Abstract

Penggunaan model pembelajaran merupakan salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Model pembelajaran multiliterasi dapat diterapkan dalam pembelajaran masa kini sesuai perkembangan berbagai literasi dan media. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui persepsi pendidik dan peserta didik terhadap pengembangan model pembelajaran multiliterasi dalam pembelajaran teks prosedur bermuatan budaya di SMP. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu menurut persepsi pendidik dan peserta didik, adanya model pembelajaran multiliterasi penting dan bisa menjadi salah satu alternatif pembelajaran. Penerapan model multiliterasi dapat juga melatih kompetensi abad 21 karena sesuai perkembangan masa kini. Selain itu, pembelajaran multiliterasi jika digunakan dalam pembelajaran teks prosedur juga mampu mengubahnya menjadi lebih menarik dan memudahkan peserta didik saat belajar.The use of learning model is one way to improve the quality of learning. Multiliteration learning models can be applied in today’s learning to the development of literacy and media. The purpose of this study was to determine the perceptions of educators and learners on the development of multiliteration learning model in teaching the text of culturally charged procedures in junior high. This research uses descriptive qualitative research design. The result of this research is with perception of educator and learner, existence of multiliteration learning model is important and can become one of alternative learning. The application of multiliteration models can also train the competence of the 21st century as it is according to current developments. In addition, multiliterational learning when used in text learning procedures is also able to transform it into a more attractive and easier for learners while studying.

Abstract

Bertanya merupakan kegiatan penting dalam pembelajaran, khususnya pembelajaran bahasa. Hal ini dikarenakan pertanyaan dapat mengawali sebuah interaksi. Interaksi yang baik merupakan awal pembelajaran yang baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tipe dan fungsi pertanyaan dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia Kurikulum 2013. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode padan yang dilanjutkan dengan teknik dasar Pilah Unsur Penentu (PUP) untuk mengklasifikasikan tipe dan pertanyaan. Berdasarkan pengamatan, tipe pertanyaan yang sering digunakan guru secara berturut-turut yakni: factual, perceiving & initiating action, conceptual convergen, conceptual divergen, valuing, evaluative, dan actualizing. Adapun fungsi pertanyaan berdasarkan fungsi yang sering muncul secara berturut-turut yakni: elisitasi faktual, memeriksa pemahaman, menejemen kelas, membangun pemikiran, konfirmasi, memeriksa pengetahuan, menyuruh/ melarang, membangun konten, isyarat elisitas, klarifikasi, merekap, mengembangkan kosakata, sanjungan/ sindiraan, refleksi dan mempraktikkan keterampilan. Fungsi pertanyaan dapat berbeda bergantung pada konteks interaksi, tidak bergantung pada tipe pertanyaan.  Pertanyaan yang baik adalah pertanyaan yang sesuai dengan konteks interaksi dalam kelas.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) menentukan keefektifan penggunaan model show not tell pada pembelajaran keterampilan menulis teks eksposisi berdasarkan minat peserta didik SMK Kelas X, (2) menentukan keefektifan penggunaan model mind map pada pembelajaran keterampilan menulis teks eksposisi berdasarkan minat peserta didik SMK kelas X, (3) menentukan keefektifan interaksi show not tell dan mind map pada pembelajaran keterampilan menulis teks eksposisi berdasarkan minat peserta didik SMK kelas X. Penelitian ini adalah quasi experimental design (pretes-postes control group design). Dalam desain ini terdapat dua kelompok eksperimen yakni penerapan model show not tell dalam pembelajaran keterampilan menulis teks eksposisipeserta didik dengan minat tinggi dan penerapan model mind map dalam pembelajaran keterampilan menulis teks eksposisi  peserta didik dengan minat rendah. Hasil penelitian adalah (1) model show not tell efektif digunakan  dalam membelajarkan menulis teks eksposisi bagi peserta didik yang memiliki minat tinggi, (2) model mind map efektif digunakan dalam membelajarkan menulis teks eksposisi bagi peserta didik yang memiliki minat rendah, dan (3) model show not tell lebih efektif digunakan dalam membelajarkan menulis teks eksposisi bagi peserta didik yang memiliki minat tinggi, sedangkan model mind map efektif digunakan dalam membelajarkan teks eksposisi pagi peserta didik yang memiliki minat rendah.
