Abstract

Students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program are strongly encouraged to become candidates for manuscript editors. In addition to the 4Cs skills, students must also have the proficiency of Indonesian language skills which can be obtained from the Language Error Analysis course. In this paper, three things are described, namely 1) 4Cs skills that must be mastered by students as a provision in pursuing the profession as a script editor other than as a teacher or educator, 2) the duties and roles of script editors in the era of digitalization, and 3) learning strategies for the Language Error Analysis course within the MBKM framework. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative to dig up information related to the researched problem. Based on research that in addition to mastering good language skills, manuscript editors must also master skills that are in accordance with 21st century competencies, namely 4C to support their performance in the digitalization era. In this digitalization era, the role of the script editor is very important to maintain the dignity of the Indonesian language so that it is not influenced by foreign languages. These 21st century skills can be obtained from the lecture process and by applying internship programs at book publishers within the framework of Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM).

Abstract

Learning in the era of society 5.0 requires 4C life skills (Creativity, Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration) through mastering several literacy skills, such as digital literacy. This study aims to analyze the role of kodular as a website for making mobile learning teaching materials for writing skills courses. This research is an exploratory description research with the research subject is a codedular website user. Research data obtained through observation, questionnaires, and interviews. The results of the observation found that the naming of different courses for writing materials and teaching materials for writing skills courses were still in the printed version. The results of the questionnaire show that the kodular website is more widely used by students than by lecturers. They use a coded website to create learning materials/materials. As many as 80% of respondents agree that the kodular website plays a very important role in the success of learning in the era of society 5.0 and can be used in preparing teaching materials for writing skills courses. The results of the interview show that there are five steps in compiling teaching materials for writing skills courses by paying attention to the components that must be present when using a coded website. The conclusions of this study indicate that the kodular website can be used as a solution in making mobile learning-based teaching materials in writing skills courses to support learning in the era of society 5.0 because the kodular website is based on the Android operating system using block programming.

Abstract

The issue of early reading and writing in Indonesia has attracted the attention of many researchers in the country. However, until now, there has been no research that addresses the root of this problem. Teachers and parents certainly always hope that their children can develop their literacy skills optimally so that they can succeed in the learning process at school. However, there is no media that effectively supports the efforts of teachers and parents. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the needs of teachers and parents in terms of early reading and writing activities for children, both at school and at home, through the development of interactive multimedia. The methods used in this research were questionnaires and interviews conducted with 28 elementary school teachers and 15 parents of students. The results of the research show the importance of first introducing alphabet recognition activities (A-Z). In addition, attention should be paid to the use of paper (thickness and color). The variation of letter types and sizes used in media production should also be considered, including incorporating many pictures and animations, providing easily understandable, clear, and organized content, utilizing technology and interactive multimedia. With these findings, it is hoped that there will be the development of interactive multimedia that includes these activities to be used in early literacy activities for elementary school-aged children.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the development strategy of a creative writing learning model based on information and communication technology (ICT). This study is a literature review research along with relevant secondary data. The data is derived from sources such as books and research articles published in national and international journals. The research procedure uses Mary W. George's theory. This study concludes that in developing a creative writing learning model based on information and communication technology (ICT), the strategy used by Utomo (2020) can be utilized to produce a prototype of a creative writing learning model. The learning model is developed based on five components, namely (1) syntax, (2) social system, (3) reaction principle, (4) support system, and (5) instructional impact. In addition, the strategy for developing a creative writing learning model can also be integrated with information and communication technology (ICT) to achieve learning goals in the digital era.
