Abstract

One important component in the education system to measure the success and performance of the learning process is assessment activities. The importance of assessment in the learning process can be used as a benchmark for improving the quality of education. The purpose of this study was to develop a mathematics learning assessment tool to measure high school students' math problem solving abilities. The type of development used is related to the model developed by Thiagaran. The study population consists of five public schools in the city of Pasuruan. The sample of this research was class XII SMA/SMK YALC Pasuruan. The data collection technique uses a description test to solve ten math problems about three-dimensional matter. Data analysis uses validity, reliability, strength, and difficulty. The results of this study indicate that the social essay test instrument measures the mathematical problem-solving abilities of high school students. 9 items are valid and reliable and 1 item is deleted (invalid). Based on the results of this research, we can conclude what is well developed and practical to use

Abstract

Teaching materials are a resource for teachers and students to carry out the learning process. Therefore, it is necessary to develop innovative teaching materials that enable students to achieve superior learning outcomes. One of the innovative and creative teaching materials is Creative Science Video-Based Teaching Materials (CSV). In this study, we aim to commercialize creative science teaching materials by using videos as style teaching materials. We also assess product quality based on materials and media reports. The research variables were validated by material, expert and video experts. In addition, the professional quality of audiovisual media has great potential. This research is an R n D with statistical evaluation results of material expert verification by CSV type reaching 3.62, media experts reaching 3.84. Therefore, the conclusion of this study is that science teaching materials such as style teaching materials can be developed through Creative Science Video-Based Teaching Materials (CSV)

Abstract

Mathematics is a subject that exists at all levels of study and requires the ability to think logically, organize, and demonstrate. One of the materials that require this ability in mathematics is the limit function material. The boundary functional material becomes the basis for mastering the next material, namely derived material. The fact that students do not have a solid understanding of the limit function literature indicates that students do not do well academically at this level. This is because students have difficulty and make mistakes in understanding concepts, facts, and procedures in the limit function literature. Vygotsky's theory can be applied to the matter of limit functions. Vygotsky applies the Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD) which is a level of development slightly above a person's current level of development. When children have learning difficulties, Vygotsky suggests that teachers can use scaffolding as support or assistance through someone who is more proficient in mastering the material to help solve problems, problems for people with higher levels of cognitive development.

Abstract

21st century education requires the integration of six competencies (6C) into the classroom. Because it is important to equip students with better skills. This survey examines the problems faced by mathematics teachers in integrating 21st century pedagogic 6Cs into integrated mathematics skills, and solutions to overcome these problems. This qualitative study collected data through questionnaires from 15 mathematics teachers spread across eight different schools. As a result, low student motivation, difficulties in integrating several skills, difficulties in time management, lack of understanding of student concepts, and difficulties in making lesson plans, as well as limited teaching materials. To overcome this problem, we integrate ideas based on providing videos (it's much better if you use/design videos yourself to suit the characteristics and interests of students), group work, providing private discussion rooms by watshapp, providing short material summaries with narration so that language is easy for students to understand, use timers to manage time, and ask for references and exchanges. Make lesson plans with other teachers.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the issues or problems that become the direction and trends of mathematics education research as an effort made by teachers in responding to challenges in 21st-century learning. The writing in this study uses a literature study by utilizing scientific journals published by the Creative Mathematics Journal- Innovative (KREANO) from 2016 to 2021 by involving a total of 156 scientific journal items. The theme of last year's study was dominated by the process of mathematical thinking skills with a focus on secondary education students as research subjects. Currently, the research theme of mathematics education is studying with a focus on developing media or making a product and learning device as well as designing a project-based learning model with a subject focus on prospective teachers and students of secondary education as research subjects. Future research in mathematics education will also examine mathematical thinking skills by creating technology-assisted learning in an open, flexible project-based learning environment so that students can collaborate in developing their potential. Therefore, teachers are required to be able to implement a curriculum to innovate in learning with various approaches, models, strategies, methods, assessments, and all related matters, which are effective

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the extent of misunderstandings experienced by high school students while tackling Minimum Numerical Ability (AKM) questions modeled on the basis of domain-dependent cognitive styles. The number of students used as subjects in the study was her XI-IPS students in class three (3). The study was conducted at Tawangsari, Tulungagung District, Kedungwal, MA Darul Hikma, Tulungagung District, Jl KH Abu Mansur I. The study was conducted in even-numbered terms of the academic year 2021-2022. A targeted sampling method with the GEFT test (Group Embedded Figure Test) is used to determine research topics and classify students as having subject-dependent cognitive styles or not (subject-dependent). The results showed that students were categorized based on their AKM numbering test response results of low, medium, and high misconceptions. The number of questions is 3 questions. The first item is used to make sure that the indicator cannot repeat the concept. The second item is used to determine that the indicator fails to formulate the concept correctly in various mathematical representations. The index cannot determine the formula that answers the question. Indicators cannot apply formulas or algorithms to solve problems. The third item is used to see indicators of inability to use formulas or problem-solving algorithms. The results obtained show that subject-specific style students with low misunderstandings score higher from responses to AKM numbering questions than students with moderate and high misunderstandings.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine students' written communicative competence in solving key problems of SPLDV in everyday life. This study uses descriptive qualitative research. These data are determined by testing. Subjects in this study consisted of her three undergraduates from UTS results. The three students were made up of representatives of high, middle and low ability students. In addition, students are given test questions supported by the SOLO taxonomy of SPLDV materials, which are analyzed according to indicators of mathematical communicative competence. The bottom line is that students with good math skills are able to give correct and correct answers, but have not yet reached the level of extended abstraction. A student with moderate writing ability can demonstrate the correct procedure, but still has problems using and processing the information, so the answers are wrong and only reach the polystructural level. Students with low mathematics ability do not solve problems, only part of the problem is presented, so they only reach the monostructural level and most of the answers are wrong.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze students' mathematics problem-solving abilities based on Polya's procedure. This may improve the math problem-solving abilities of Class VIII SMP YALC Pasuruan students. Research data were obtained from the analysis of student answer sheets, observation sheets, and student activity sheets based on indicators of problem-solving ability. This type of study has a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test and post-test design. A t-test was performed to check for improvements in each aspect of student problem-solving skills and all aspects of math problem-solving skills. The main finding of this study is that students' problem-solving ability in mathematics based on Polya's procedure outperforms students' problem-solving ability with regular learning

Abstract

Mathematics learning is not optimal because of limited learning media. Most teachers only rely on manual materials and exercises that are too strict. The purpose of this research is to create an audiovisual learning media based on the Canva application for class XII learning. This type of research is media development based on the four-D development model. Due to the limitations of researchers, the development of this media has only reached the development stage. The subjects of this study were 2 media experts, 2 material experts, 2 practitioners and 25 students. Data collection methods in this study are observation methods, interview methods, and questionnaire methods. The data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively using the average formula to obtain an average efficacy score. As a result, the audiovisual media based on the Canva application on the topic "Distance point to point" achieved a relevance score of 4.53 for content experts and 4.65 for media experts
