Abstract

This research was conducted on 24-30 May 2016 in the Laboratory Fish Hatchery and Breeding Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science University of Riau. The purpose of this study are to determine the influence of temperature (room temperature and 30°C) and dose of aquamate (0 mg/L and 20 mg/L) on fertilization, hatching and larvae survival of Pawas (Osteochilus hasselti C.V.). The method used in this study is an experimental method by using a completely randomized design with 2x2x3 factorial design. The first factor is the temperature (room temperature and 30°C), while the second factor is the dose of aquamate (0 mg/L and 20 mg/L) with three replications. Fish kept in the twelve unit of 30x30x30cm aquarium with the volume of water were 15 L each.The result showed that the treatment of the giving different temperature and oxygen to hatching the eggs and 5 days fish larvae initial survival of Pawas (Osteochilus hasselti C.V.) that is best for Fertilization Rate (FR) of Pawas eggs is room temperature with the addition 20 mg/L aquamate which produce figure conception amounted to 43.78%, figure Hatching Rate (HR) amounted to 63.24%, the rate of Survival Rate (SR) amounted to 96%. Data from water quality measurements during the study that is the temperature used is room temperature and 30°C, pH range 6-8. The levels of dissolved oxygen on dose of aquamate 0 mg/L namely 3.0 mg/L while on dose of aquamate 20 mg/L namely 7.0 mg/L. Dissolved oxygen was increased on dose of aquamate 20 mg/L as much as 4 mg/L after one day the addition of aquamate into aquarium.Keywords: temperature, oxygen, fertilization rate, hatching rate, survival rate, Osteochilus hasselti C.V.

Abstract

ABSTRACT             The study was conducted on 11 July - 20 August 2018 in the Laboratory of Fish Breeding and Breeding at the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, University of Riau, Pekanbaru. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the type % Tubifex (fresh, frozen and dry) and water change rate (L / minute) (debit) on the growth and survival of sheat fish larvae (Ompok rhadinurus) feed in recirculation system for 40 days. The method used is a Factorial Complete Random Match (RAL) with two factors, namely the first factor in the form of feed with three levels each Tubifex fresh (Ts), frozen Tubifex (Tb), dry Tubifex (Tk). While the second factor is the water debit of each D1 (1 liter / minute water debit), D0.5 (0.5 liter / minute water discharge). To minimize errors, each level of treatment was repeated 3 times. The best growth rate in the treatment of Ts D1 (Tubifex fresh with 1 liter / minute water discharge) with an absolute weight of 7.85 gr, absolute length 10.11 cm, average growth rate of 18.23% / day, and survival rate 94.44. The condition of water quality is the water temperature 27-280C, pH 5,6-5,7 and dissolved oxygen 5,6-6,1 mg / l. Keywords : Ompok rhadinurus, Type %, Tubifek sp, water

Abstract

AbstractThis research was conducted in September- October 2019 at the Fish Hatchery and Breeding Laboratory, Fisheries and Marine Science Faculty Riau University, Pekanbaru. The purpose of this study was to determine the best dose of cow biourin in increasing the growth rate and biomass production of Spirulina sp.. The method used in this research was experimental using Completely Random Design (CRD) one factor with four treatments and repeated three times. The treatments used was  Walne 1ml/L  (Control) , Biourin-1,5 ml/L , Biourin-3,5 ml/L and Biourin-5,5 ml/L. Cultivation was carried out for nine days, using biurin and Walne . The results showed that the treatment of the of  cow biourin with  differences dose affected the population density and specific growth rate. Biourin-5,5 ml/L gave the best results with a cell density of 337,5 x 104 cells / ml and a specific growth rate of 0,76214/ day with peak growth occurring on the day seven. Water quality parameters during the study were optimal for the growth of Spirulina sp.with a water temperature of 29-33 0C, pH 7-8.9 and dissolved oxygen 8-8.5 mg / l. Keywords: Biourin, Spirulina sp, Dose.

Abstract

The aims of the was study to determine the effect of immersion parent fish guppy pregnant using coconut water with different doses and time of the percentage of male fish seed production. Selected coconut water as a natural ingredient of synthetic hormone replacement 17α-methyltestosterone (MT) is commonly used for aligning the male fish. This research was conducted in June through September 2013 the Laboratory of Fish Hatchery and Breeding Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science, University of Riau. This study used an experimental method with 12 treatments and 3 replications. This treatment uses doses of 0, 10, 25 and 45 ml of coconut water with immersion time 10, 20 and 30 hours. The results showed that no effect of coconut water toward the percentage of male guppy fish produced with the highest value at a dose of 10 ml were soaked for 20 hours which is 62.5%. Nevertheless, these results are still lower than the MT treatment (92.7%). At doses of 0 and 10 ml no effect on survival rate. However, at doses of 25 and 45 ml guppy fish survival rate decreases.Keywords: Briefing sex, coconut water, guppy fish, Poecilia reticulata

Abstract

AbstractThis research was conducted from January to February 2019 at the Laboratory of Fish Hatchery and Breeding at the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, University of Riau. This study aims to determine the viterna soaking dose in enriching water lice. The method used is a one-factor Completely Randomized Design (CRD) and three treatments with three replications. The treatment was carried out 3 replications to obtain 12 experimental units. The treatment in this study was D0 = Dose 0 (Control), D40 = 5 hours with a dose of 40 ml / l, D50 = 5 hours with a dose of 50 ml / l and D60 = 5 hours with a dose of 60 ml / l. The results showed that Daphnia sp enrichment had a significant effect (P <0.05) on the growth of koi fish larvae, namely the dose of viterna 50 ml / l of water, resulting in absolute weight growth of 0.43 g, specific growth rate of 6.13% / day, absolute length growth of 2.98 cm, highest survival at a dose of 40 ml / l which is equal to 91.67% and the highest color quality at a dose of 50 ml / l. The water quality parameter values obtained during the study showed a good range for the growth of koi fish larvae, namely temperatures ranging from 27.0 to 31ºC and pH 5-6.5 Keywords :Water fleas, Viterna, Growth, Survival, cyprinus carpio

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research was conducted in September 2019 in the fish hatchery and breeding laboratory of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine of Riau University and Photomocrography laboratory of Mathematics sand Natural Sciences Faculty, Riau  University. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of different in the concentration of  young coconut water on NaCl on sperm motility, viability, fertility, and hatching rates of catfish (Clarias gariepinus) during short storage. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD), with 5 levels of treatment and 3 replications, namely: P0: 0%  young coconut water plus 100% NaCl (Control), P1: 40%  young coconut water plus 60% NaCl, P2 : 50% young water plus 50% NaCl , P3: 60% young coconut water plus 40% NaCl, P4: 70% young coconut water plus 30% NaCl. Semen of this experiment used from 2 male catfish, and was stored  in the refrigerator at 40C . The results showed that the different of  young coconut water concentration in NaCl had a  significant effect on the sperm quality of catfish (Clarias gariepinus) for 96 hours at 12 hour intervals. The results showed that P4 (70% young coconut water plus 30% NaCl solution) was the best treatment with 72 hours optimal storage times with good category (3) with a viability percentage of 51.4%, fertilization rate at 12 hours storage period reached 89.0% with hatching rate 88.5% while at 96 hours fertilization rate is 50.4%, and hatching rate is 78.9%Keywords: Clarias gariepinus, young coconut water, NaCl, qualityof spermatozoa.

Abstract

                                Abtrak  This research was conducted on August until September 2018 at Fish Hatchery and Breeding Laboratory, Fisheries and Marine Science Faculty, Riau University. The purpose of this research to determine the population of Daphnia magna were cultured on different media and stocking density that generates the highest population. This research method used is an experimental method. The experimental design used was completely randomized design (CRD) with factorial design 2 factors which consisted of factors A: Media different that Banana Stem 12 g/l, Cabbage12 g/l, Water Hyacinth 12 g/l and factor B: Solid different initial stocking 100 ind/l and 200 ind/l as many as 6 treatments, 3 repetitions so obtained 18 experimental units. Media and stocking density is real (P<0,05) effect on the population Daphnia magna. The best treatment of Daphnia magna population during the 24 day study period generated by treatment of KP2 (Cabbage 12g/l+ Stocking Density 200 ind/l) with an average value of 283. While the lowest for the treatment population BPP1 (Banana Stem 12 g/l +Stocking Density 100 ind/l) with an overall average of 111 ind/l. Based on the results of observations of phytoplankton abundance in each treatment the highest was KP2 (Cabbage 12 g / L + stocking density 200 Ind/l) with a total of 6,934,738 ind/ l while the lowest was BPP1 (Banana stem 12 g / L + 100 stocking density ind/l) 2,147,532 ind/l. Water quality during the study showed a good range for growth of Daphnia magna is Temperatures range between 24,0- 30,10C °C, and pH ranging from 7, 2 - 8,1.  Keywords : Media, Stocking density, Population, Daphnia magna

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research was conducted on Maret - April 2018 in the Laboratory of Fish Hatchery and Breeding Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, University of Riau.The purpose of this research was to Effect OfLumbricusrubellus With Different Frequency On Growth And Survival Of Larvae Siban (Cyclocheilicthysapagon. This research used the experimental method, while the experimental design using completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments, each with 3 replication.The composition of the treatment P1 frequency the provision of feed 3 times a days , treatment P2 frequency the provision of feed 4 times a day, treatment P4 frequency the provision of feed 5 times a days, treatment P4 frequency the provision of feed 6 times a day. The best result of the treatments from this research frequency of the feed about 6 times a daygrow with0,26 g (weight),  2,60cm (length)and 6,43% per days (Specific growth rate). Statistical test results show that the survival rate of larvae  Cyclocheilicthysapagon has no significant effect on all treatments.The water quality parameters during this research were: temperature 25,6-28,2oC, pH 5-6,8, dissolved oxygen 5-6,5 mg/l.Key words: Cyclocheilicthysapagon, Lumbricus rubellus,  frequency, growth and survival

Abstract

AbstractThis study was conducted on September-October 2019 in fish hatchery and Breeding laboratory, fisheries and marine faculty of RiauUniversity, Pekanbaru. The aim of this study wasto determine the effect of different thyroxine hormone doses on hatching rate, growth and survival rate of sheat-fish (ompok rhadinurus Ng). This study used a factorial complete random match (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications. Different doses used on this study were; P1 (0 mg/L), P2 (0.05 mg/L), P3 (0.10 mg/L) and P4 (0.15 mg/L). Immersion of sheat-fish eggs with thyroxin hormone for 24 hours with ± 250 of sheat-fish eggs (0.5 g) and incubated  in a jar. Sheat-fish larvae maintained for 30 days. The results showed that different thyroxine hormone doses affected (P < 0.05) to fertilization rate (92.06%), incubation (21 hours 36 minutes), hatching rate (91.71%), and survival rateof sheat-fish larvae (93.30%) But, didn’t affect to absolute length growth, absolute weight growth, and specific growth rate of sheat-fish larvae. The best doses thyroxine hormone to increase hatching rate, incubation time, and fertilization rate was 0,10 mg/L. Keywords: Sheat-fish, thyroxin hormone, fertilization rate, incubation time, hatching rate, absolute growth, survival rate

Abstract

The research was conducted from Maret – Mei 2013 in laboratory ofbreeding Fishery and Marine Science Faculty of Riau University. The aim of thisresearch was to investigate suitable feed for the maturation of the gonads of sepatmutiara (Trichogaster leeri Blkr) reared with different feeding treatment such asGonad Maturity Level (TKG), gonad maturation index (IKG), fecundity, eggdiameter and egg maturation. The research method used was CompletelyRandomized Design (CDR) with three treatments and three replications. Thetreatment in this study were P1 (Tubifex sp), P2 (Shrimp pellet), P3 (Shrimp pellet+ Vitamin E).The result showed that good feed for the maturation of the gonads wasshrimp pellets + Vitamin E, total fish reached TKG IV 13 tails , index gonadsomatic 9,32 %, fecundity of 2646 eggs, egg diameter 0.70 mm. The temperaturerange from 26-28 0 C, pH 5-6, dissolved oxygen 4-5 ppm.Keyword: different feed, Gonad maturation, Trichogaster leeri Blkr
