Abstract

This research aimed to describe the shape of classical batik motif Yogyakarta using natural dyes and synthetic dyes as raw materials in the coloring process. This research method uses qualitative descriptive research. The data collection is done by using interview, observation and documentation. In this study, the informant of this data including: the leader and some of the craftsmen who know about batik and batik dyeing in in Sri Kuncoro batik industry. Furthermore, the data reviewed and analyzed by the steps of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validation was done by triangulation to the head of the village, batik museum educators.The survey results revealed that: there are hundreds of different name of classical motifs but the kind that widely produced in batik Sri Kuncoro is the motive sidoasih, sidomukti, wahyu tumurun, truntum, srikuncoro, udan liris, and sirgunggu wiguno. The motives provided are decorative naturalist, geometric, and decorative ornament consisting of primary, complementary ornament, and IsenIsen. In coloring method using two kinds of colorings, the two substances are natural dyes from plants derived from leaves, flowers, fruit peel, bark, and roots of plants, whilst the types of synthetic dyes are using naphtol, indigosol, and rapide. For batik dyeing process, the stages starting from mordanting of natural dyes, pattern making, klowong, nerusi, ngiseni, mencolet, menembok, dyeing, sagging, then the second dyeing process is to covers down.  Kata kunci: Batik Sri Kuncoro, Bentuk motif batik, Proses pewarnaan

Abstract

  This study aimed to describe about the craft of SongketBungoTanjung which includes decorative and the meanings which contained in Songket motifs Tenunan Sogket Bungo Tanjung. The method used is descriptive qualitative method. Collecting data in this study was using techniques of observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that the SongketBungoTanjung consists of six motifs derived from naturalist decoration which have functional characteristic namely: KapalSenggat, Duren Pecah, Kembang Duren, Teratai di Atas Air, Teratai di Dalam Air and Merak. While, the decorative pattern which used to fill the field of ornamental patterns and decorative patterns symmetrical periphery. As the meaning of the motif is Kembang Duren means a child that must be given knowledge from childhood, Teratai means flower that grows in Bungo and into the first history which came to Bungo, Duren Pecah means the people who is knowledgeable will always be good at keeping themselves, Motif KapalSenggat means in life we have to be introspective and cautious, Merak implies the meaning of the sacrifice of a mother is very large. key word: Songket, Bungo Tanjung

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the name of a color (hue), dark-light color (value), the flatness of color, and differences in light and dark and the flatness of the color of the effect of the mordant tamarind and sour kandis the results of dyeing silk using leaf extract Andong (Cordyline fruticosa LA Cheval). This research is an experimental research. This type of data is a primary data sourced from the 13 panelists. The object is dipped silk fabric with leaf extract carriage with tamarind and sour kandis. Where the data analysis was performed using ANOVA and percentage. From the results of dyeing without mordant produce color Gray (64% white) with a value of less light and color average flat. While the dyeing with mordant tamarind produce color Warm Brown with a value reasonably bright and color average flat and dyeing with mordant sour kandis produce color Off-White Snow with the value of light and color average flat. The results of hypothesis testing data obtained for light and dark colors (value) is Fcount> Ftable = 4.212> 3.26 means that there are significant differences. As for the flatness of color data obtained is Fcount> Ftable = 1.874 ≤ 3.26 means that there are no significant differences. Keywords: Effect Mordant, Leaf Extract Andong

Abstract

The background of this research as an effort of finding new colors in the use ofnatural dyes for the textile industry. This study aims to reveal the color (hue ) ,dark-light color ( value) , the flatness of color and light and dark color differenceand color flatness of the difference mordant Tamarind and Kaffir Lime. Thisstudy was an experimental study. This type of data is a primary data sourced fromthe 15 panelists. The object is a silk cloth dipped with fruit extracts Sendudukwith mordant Tamarind and Kaffir Lime. Where the data analysis done by teknikanalysis of varianceone (one-way ANOVA). From the results of dyeing withoutmordant produce color Dark Purple # 5C4150, light dark color (value) is in thecategory of less bright and less flatness of color on the category average. Whilethe dyeing with mordant Tamarind generate color Red Violet # 7F4861 Popstardark light color (value) is in the category is quite bright and flatness of prettycolors on the category average. And dyeing with mordant Kaffir Lime generatecolor Red Violet # 904F6C Popstar dark light color (value) are in the category ofvery bright and flatness of color on the category average. The results ofhypothesis testing data obtained from the results showed differences in light anddark color ( value) ) with F count > F table = 38 176 > 3:22 Then Ho is rejected ,meaning that there are significant differences . As for the color flatness flatnessresults showed differences in color . Abstract

This event will be based on research in an effort to revive the image of the use of the substance is natural color. With the discovery of new colors from natural dyes is expected to help reduce the use of synthetic dyes. This study aims to describe the color names (hue), the dark light color (value), the flatness of the color, and the difference in the brightness and brightness of the influence of the use of mordan alum and lime (Citrus Aurantifolia) to the result of silk dyeing using onion extract (Allium Ascalonium L). This type of research is a research experiment. The data used are sourced from 15 person panelists, then analyzed using Friedman's test k-Related samples or ANOVA of one line. Immersion results2without mordan produce Sepia Brown color # A73117, with value in the category of less bright and the color of the kerelaaan on the flat category. While the dyeing with mordan alum produce the color of Golden Rod #CA8B21 with the value is in the category of bright and the color of the kerataaan in very flat category and the immersion with mordan lime produces Soft Brown color #AF5136 with the value is in the category of light enough and the color in the category kerelaaan Average. The result of friedman test K-related sample obtained for dark light color (value) is 0.000 <0,05, then H0 is rejected, it means there is influence of dark light of significant color. As for the color flatness obtained is 0.005 <0.05 H0 rejected, Meaning that there is influence of color flatness significance.Keywords: Mordan alum and lime, onion, silk material

Abstract

The problem in this study is that students do not choose the elective courses based on the level of skills they want to achieve, the students do not consult the academic advisor's lecturer before taking the elective course and it is not clear what factors influence the students in taking the decision to take the elective course. This study aims to describe the factors that affect students in determining the elective courses in the Department of Family Welfare FPP-UNP. This research is descriptive quantitative. The population in this study are students of the family welfare education program year 2013-2014. The sample in this study is the entire population is sampled (total sampling) amounted to 58 people. The data obtained is the primary data obtained from the questionnaire. Data analysis in this research using descriptive analysis technique percentage. Result of research about internal factor from physiological aspect that is 65,52%, psychology aspect 58,28% consisting of intelligence 74,14%, interest 70,69%, talent 67,24%, motivation 55,17% and attitude with percentage of 24.14%. The indicator of the external factor from the aspect of the social environment that is 69,54% which consist of learning approach 84,48%, lecturer PA 68,97%, the impulse of parent 55,17%. The non-social environment aspect is 64,37% which consist of learning tool 81,03%, study time 60,34 and temperature condition with percentage 51,72%.Keywords: Physiological, psychological, social environment, non-social environment

Abstract

This study aims to describethe name of the color (hue), dark bright colors (value), color, and differences inflatness mordan Pomelo (Citrus Maxima Merr) and Lemon (Citrus Limon)against the results of dyeing Silk material using extracts of flower petals Plantain(Musa Sapientum). This type of research is a research experiment. The data used2are sourced from 18 person panelists, then analyzed using Friedman's test k-Related samples or ANOVA of one line. Immersion results without mordanproduce color Clam Shell Pink #C5A89B, with value categories very bright andkerataaan colors on the category very flat. mordan Pomelo produce color DarkSalmon Pink #B59890 with value are bright enough and kerataaan colors are flat,whereas with mordan Lemon is Warm Brown #AE8C8B with value are brightenough and kerataaan colors are blended. The results of the data analysis of darklight color (value) is 0.002 < 0.05, then H0 is rejected, meaning that there is adifference significant color light dark. Abstract

This study aims to reveal the color (hue), dark-light color (value), the flatness of color and light and dark color difference (value) and flatness of color. This study was an experimental study. This type of data is a primary data sourced from 15 panelists. The object is a silk cloth dipped with kepok banana’s bark extract with repetition dyeing. Where the data analysis was performed using one-way ANOVA technique and Percentage. Result of the repetition of 5 times to produce color dyeing French Grey 30% with light and dark colors (value) is in the category of very bright and flatness of color are in the category of very flat. At 10 times the repetition dyeing produce color French Grey 50% with light and dark colors (value) is quite bright and flat colors flatness. And for the immersion repetition 15 times to produce color French Grey 70% with light and dark colors (value) is quite bright and flat colors flatness. The result of research by testing with results of hypothesis shows that light and dark colors (value) with F count (28.488) > F table (0.514). Result of research for flatness of the color showed differences in the flatness of color with F count (14.175) > F table (0.514), then Ho is rejected meaning that there are significant differences. Abstract

The background of this research was the lack of students’ creativity level in learning the embroidery in SMK 4 Pariaman. The lack of students’ creativity of their self-confidence and aotonomy in desingning motives, their creativity in combining the color of materials and yarns and their creativity in sewing the embroidery are the indicators of the lack od students’ creativity development. The objective of this research was to describe the students creativity in learning embroydery. This research was a descriptive research which was conducted by quantitative approach, the consisted of (1) self confidence and anatomy, (2) curiosity, and (3) diligent. The data was primary data. The population in this research was the grade XI students in learning the embroidery at textile craft production design department at SMKN 4 Pariaman. They were consisted of 22 students. The data was collected by using the scale likert and questionnaire. Then, the data was analysed by using descriptive analysis in counting the persentage which consisted of maximum and minimum valves, mean, mode, as well as the standard deviation of each indicator and variable. The resultof this reserach shows that the students creativity in learning the embroidery in grade XI of textile craft production design department in SMKN 4 Pariaman is in the medium category (58,15%), its indicators: (1) self_confidence and autonomy is in the medium category (53,33%), (2) the curiosity is in the medium category (60,29%), (3) diligent is in the medium category (60,71%). Abstract

The purpose of research is describe the form of suntiang mangkuto and analyze the inner meaning of suntiang mangkuto . This research is a descriptive kualitatif. Object this research is suntiang mangkuto. Data collection techniques with observation, interview and documentation. Analysis techniques with reduction data, display of data and conclusion. The results of resesearch obtained form suntiang mangkuto resembles a crown shape with a diameter of 17,1 cm has 4 support bars with a width of 2 cm has wide range of decorative flora and fauna materials used for the manufacture of suntiang mangkuto the original and the latest. The meaning of philosophy contained in suntiang mangkuto is that women in minangkabau should not uphold the heavy burden. Suntiang mangkuto show beauty and serves as a golden yellow colored flowers on suntiang mangkuto symbolizes custom rules and customary philosophy in minangkabau that is nature takambang be a teacher.2Keywords : Suntiang Mangkuto, clothes, Minangkabau
