Abstract

This study aims to offer a model for implementing religious moderation learning in higher education to stem contradictory ideologies with Islamic teachings such as liberalism, literalism, and radicalism. Their existence has recently significantly disrupted the stability of religious harmony in Indonesia. The current reality of extreme and exclusive religion is spreading in the academic world. Students who only use rational logic without religious texts will be trapped in radical logical reasoning, so they tend to be liberal. On the other hand, students who only adhere to religious texts without being accompanied by critical logic will be dogmatic in understanding religious texts literally. The existence of an understanding of Islam with two camps of liberal and literal interpretation is not in line with a moderation in religion which will obscure the actual value of Islamic teachings. This ideology will produce radical religious perspectives, attitudes, and behaviors. The research approach is research and development, which collaborates quantitative and qualitative. Methods of collecting data through interviews, observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The selection of respondents and informants through random sampling technique, while data analysis using the Miles and Huberman approach.

Abstract

This article provides an overview of the implications of Islamic science and art. Not many dancers wearing hijab when dancing, because it is considered something unusual. Various stigmas appear in the perspective of society when they see dancers wearing hijab. One of the stigmas given is that women or girls wearing hijab are not supposed to dance because often the movements performed can invite lust, for instance, through erotic movements that could trigger lust especially in men who are not family members of the women. The dancers wearing hijab, on the other hand, appear to be conveying an implicit message of Islamic preaching. Every dance, in fact, has meaning and serves as a medium for the dancer’s self-actualization through movements. With this phenomenon in mind, this study was conducted to collect, conclude, and share understanding from many perspectives on hijab-wearing dancers. To obtain larger data, this study used a qualitative method with descriptive analysis. This research could be used as a reading source to open up fresh perspectives for society and to encourage hijab-wearing women to express themselves limitlessly when doing activities such as dancing.

Abstract

This paper aims to develop an Ulul Ilmi model in Islamic Education learning for the character of 21st-century students, which, of course, can help. Realize these national education goals—the research method used using a qualitative approach and literature study techniques in collecting data. Based on the findings, the Ulul Ilmi Model is very supportive in Islamic Religious Education learning because it has extreme divine values to achieve ma'rifatullah goals to shape 21st-century students' character. The method used is the method (1) the uswah hasanah method, an exemplary method that must be applied to an educator and passed on to students, (2) the ibrah mauidzah method, which is a learning method that must be delivered in the classroom, and (3) the targhib tarhib method, a method of strengthening for character building. Thus this pattern is later called the Ulul Ilmi model. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model Ulul Ilmi dalam pembelajaran PAI untuk pencapaian karakter mahasiswa abad 21, yang tentunya dapat membantu merealisasikan tujuan pendidikan Nasional. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan teknik studi pustaka dalam pengumpulkan data. Berdasarkan hasil temuan, model Ulul Ilmi ini sangat memungkinkan untuk diterapkan dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam, karena memiliki nilai Ilahiyyah yang sangat kuat mencapai tujuan ma’rifatullah dalam rangka membentuk karakter mahasiswa abad 21. Metode yang digunakan ialah (1) metode uswah hasanah, yang merupakan metode keteladanan yang wajib diterapkan bagi seorang pendidik dan diwariskan kepada para peserta didik, (2) metode ibrah mauidzah, merupakan metode pembelajaran yang wajib untuk disampaikan di dalam kelas, dan (3) metode targhib tarhib, yakni metode penguatan untuk penanaman karakter. Dengan demikian pola inilah yang kemudian disebut sebagai model Ulul Ilmi.

Abstract

With so many problems in education in Indonesia that still need to be resolved, one of them is the dichotomy of education in Indonesia. With this problem, the presenter conducts research using a qualitative method of literature review or literature review. The dichotomy in the education system will have a major influence on Islamic education, this will cause a complete division. Before getting too deep into the dichotomy of Islamic religious education in national education, this dichotomy must be ended immediately, one of which is by implementing the integration of Islamic education. Muslim scholars argue that this division must be repaired immediately by integrating the education system, namely by creating a third system which is also the antithesis of the traditional and modern education systems.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berusaha untuk mengkaji budaya tidak tepat waktu orang Indonesia berdasarkan pandangan Islam. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui studi literatur dan wawancara terhadap 3 dosen PAI di Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Berdasarkan keterangan dari responden yang diwawancarai diketahui bahwa Islam sangat memberi perhatian terhadap waktu serta memandang seseorang yang kerap melalaikannya sebagai orang yang merugi, namun budaya ini kerap terjadi akibat adanya pemakluman dari orang lain dan sifat kurang menghargai waktu. Artinya budaya ngaret bukan merupakan hal yang baik dalam Islam karena dapat merugikan diri sendiri serta orang disekitarnya sehingga diperlukan kesadaran diri sendiri dan masyarakat yang lebih disiplin.

Abstract

Indonesia is a multicultural country that has so much diversity, among which is the diversity of religions and customs or cultures. Cultural acculturation has a significant impact on the construction of thought and ritual practices carried out by a society. The purpose of this study was to analyze and analyze the practice of traditional child birth carried out by the community in Nanjung Village, Bandung Regency, West Java, Indonesia. The research method used in this study is an ethnographic approach. The author tries to make a visit to the site, then interviewed single information interactively to find the data needed in this study. The data obtained were then analyzed using the theory of acculturation and Islamic religious perspective. The findings prove that the practice of customary childbirth carried out by the perpetrator is a cultural acculturation process. The practice of child birth is at least one way in the context of maximum efforts so that the baby can survive and develop into a pious child

Abstract

Abstract. This research increases motivation for millennial youth emigration through digital propaganda. By looking at the fact that young people today are familiar with the word hijrah and social media, but not all users use social media as a tool to emigrate. People only know the meaning of migrating without applying it in everyday life. In addition, with the advancement of technology can make the propaganda model more interesting, developing fast and dynamic. Researchers use descriptive qualitative and literature studies through questionnaires, then collect information from journals, books and online media, it is hoped that this can provide information about the motivation of young people to emigrate. The results of this study proved that using digital propaganda can increase the motivation of the hijrah youth millennial, judging from the results of the questionnaire stated 72% the use of digital media in the spread of da'wah it’s optimal. Abstract

Abstract: Religious Education Between Minorities and Majorities: Exploring the Problems of Islamic Education in Responding to the Era of Globalization and Modernity. Objectives: This study aims to explores the dynamics of Islamic Education discourse in Western and Eastern countries such as Indonesia in response to the Globalization Era and 21st Century Modernity. Methods: The research uses a qualitative approach, where data collection uses literature study techniques. The data we collect from scientific research with sources from Scopus, Web of Science, and Sinta. As for data analysis using Miles and Huberman steps. Findings: The different characteristics between the West, which is dominated by empirical and secular currents of thought, and Indonesia, which is based on religious values. Conclusion: Islamic religious education in the West has a secular character that is based on philosophical views of rationalism, empiricism, relativism, capitalism, humanism, and positivism, in contrast to the educational process in the East, which tends to be based on religious principles based on revelations, both the Quran and the Quran. As-Sunnah.Keywords: Islamic education, globalization, modernity.Abstrak: Pendidikan Agama Islam Antara Minoritas dan Mayoritas: Menggali Problematika Pendidikan Agama Islam Dalam Menjawab Era Globalisasi dan Modernitas. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali dinamika wacana Pendidikan Islam di negara-negara Barat dan Timur seperti Indonesia dalam menghadapi Era Globalisasi dan Modernitas Abad 21. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dimana pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik literature review. Data kami kumpulkan dari penelitian ilmiah dengan sumber dari Scopus, Web of Science, dan Sinta. Sedangkan untuk analisis data menggunakan langkah Miles dan Huberman. Temuan: Perbedaan karakteristik antara Barat yang didominasi oleh aliran pemikiran empiris dan sekuler, sedangkan di Indonesia yang didasarkan pada nilai-nilai agama. Kesimpulan: Pendidikan agama Islam di Barat memiliki karakter sekuler yang didasarkan pada pandangan filosofis rasionalisme, empirisme, relativisme, kapitalisme, humanisme, dan positivisme, berbeda dengan proses pendidikan di Timur yang cenderung bertumpu pada prinsip-prinsip agama berdasarkan wahyu, baik al-Quran maupun al-Quran. Abstract

This article focuses on an inaccurate understanding of Islam that causes hatred, anxiety, and unfounded fear of the Muslim community. On account of this view of Islam, Muslims face hostility, discrimination, intolerance, and racism. This attitude is increasingly seen in mass media propaganda that presents a partial and inaccurate view of the religion. Islam is presented as a violent belief system and is responsible for radicalism and terrorism. The media greatly influences social reality. They function as a spectacle, but they also influence public opinion on a range of issues. The research design of this paper uses literature review with descriptive analysis. The results show that internalizing the Islamic value of rahmatan lil alamin (“being a mercy to the world”) through the media is a solution that can rectify misconceptions about Islam. Along with the foundation of amar ma’ruf nahi munkar (“enjoining the good and forbidding the evil”), the value of “being a mercy to the world” can transform people into educators (muaddib), agents of correct information (musaddid), reformers (mujaddid), unifiers (muwahhid), and fighters (mujahid). Artikel ini fokus terhadap pemahaman Islam dengan perspektif yang salah, sehingga menimbulkan kebencian, kecemasan, dan ketakutan yang tidak berdasar serta berlebihan kepada individu maupun komunitas Islam. Akibatnya timbul permusuhan, diskriminasi, intoleransi, dan rasisme. Sikap ini semakin terlihat melalui propaganda media massa yang menampilkan kontroversi yang tidak benar dan parsial terhadap Islam, media merepresentasikan Islam dengan kekerasan dan radikal melalui fenomena terorisme. Kehadiran media sangat berpengaruh terhadap realitas sosial yang tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai tontonan tetapi menjadi tuntunan yang menggiring opini publik dalam merubah sikap, pandangan, dan perilaku. Desain penelitian menggunakan literature review dengan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Internalisasi nilai-nilai Islam rahmatan lil alamin melalui media merupakan solusi dalam meluruskan pemahaman yang keliru tentang Islam, yang berfungsi sebagai pendidik (muaddib), agen informasi yang benar (musaddid), menjadi pembaharu (mujaddid), pemersatu (muwahhid), dan pejuang (mujahid) dengan dasar amar ma’ruf nahi munkar.
