Abstract

The purpose of this research are to reveal social symbols of money, identify the symbolic meaning of money, and explain the social impact of money among boarding students, as well as disclosed by Weber (1978) seeing money is the most perfect means for economic and social transactions. Various studies relating to the meaning of money that has been done previously did not elaborate in depth about it. This researh used mixed method by using interview technique conducted with 79 college boarding house student, boarding owner, societies, local official goverment as informants of this study, the quetionaries shared for 69 of college boarding students and observation. The result of this research: social symbol of money are life style, clothes, community, boarding house, university, hangout, vehicle, food, and crisis month. The symbolic meaning of money are there is money there is friend, there are no problem cannot be solved by money, money is instrument; (money is an instrument to join a community, to have fun, and to doing mobility), money is god, money is a goal, money is life. Positive impact of money are to make easy to do mobility and to fullfil life necessaries. Negatif impacts of money are having fake friend, causing debt, and conflict. Financial management are saving money on ATM, avoiding buyin un-necessary things, deposite to the owner of boarding house, and scheduling remittances.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze life survival strategy, social networks, and social capital measured from the networks, faith, and norms of Minangkabau Woman Street Vendor during the COVID-19 pandemic in the tourism destination area of West Sumatra. This research uses a mixed method. This research had a post-positivistic paradigm with the research locations in the tourist destination areas such as Padang City, Bukittinggi City, Sawahlunto City, and Tanah Datar Regency. The results showed that women street vendors performed life survival in tourism destination areas by strengthening social capital and human capital for a better economy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menjelaskan fenomena jual beli sapi yang sudah dilakukan secara turun-temurun di Pasar Sapi/ Blante. Aktivitas jual beli sapi cenderung ramai pada waktu siang hari meskipun di pagi hari para pemilik sapi, penjual dan pembeli sudah mulai berdatangan ke lokasi tersebut. Pengunjung berasal dari berbagai suku bangsa dan agama yang beragam. Akan tetapi masyarakat pasar mampu mempertahan harmonisasi melalui nilai-nilai dan norma yang sudah melekat dalam kehidupan masyarakat Minahasa itu sendiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan fungsi Pasar Sapi/ Blante sebagai salah satu pasar tradisional bagi masyarakat Minahasa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi dan wawancara. Informan adalalah masyarakat yang beraktivitas di Pasar Sapi/ Blante. Teori yang dipakai yakni teori Struktural Fungsional Parsons. Teknik analisa data menggunakan Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa fungsi Pasar Sapi/ Blante bagi masyarakat Minahasa adalah melestarikan sejarah pekerjaan jual beli sapi, sarana memupuk sikap toleransi, tempat berinteraksi antar masyarakat Minahasa dan masyarakat luar, implementasi falsafah hidup masyarakat Minahasa “sitou timou tumou tou", ladang mata pencaharian masyarakat, dan sebagai wadah pelestarian bahasa daerah Minahasa.

Abstract

The author who is directly involved in the consignment trading process sees so many phenomena that occur, whether it is related to the consignment trader, the shop owner, the emotional relationship between the two, business relationships, character, cultural values, and so on. The research approach used in this study is qualitative research approach. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out by in-depth interviews and observations. The types of data in this study are: primary data and secondary data. Data analysis techniques in this study use data analysis techniques miles and hubermen, including data reduction (data reduction), data presentation (data display) and drawing conclusions and verification (conclusion drawing / verification). The results of this study indicate that there are 7 patterns of interaction between consignment traders and shop owners, namely: making mutually beneficial business agreements, cooperation on the basis of mutual trust, mutual understanding of each other's character, respecting different cultures, disputes for breaking the agreement, lack of openness, and conflict of interest.

Abstract

It takes an innovation created by a teacher in order to get maximum learning outcomes because the teacher certainly knows better what the students need because it is the teacher who interacts the most with students in the teaching and learning process at school. Media and learning tools applied by teachers in schools will certainly affect student learning outcomes. The purpose of this study is to reveal the effect of online-based learning media on social studies subjects at SMA Negeri 2 Tondano. The method used is a qualitative research method. The results of this study are; Positive influence of online-based learning media on social studies subjects: Increased competence of teachers and students in using social media for social studies learning, Teachers are more flexible in elaborating social studies teaching materials by providing real examples that are viral on social media, Opening new job opportunities for students, Students more motivated to learn social studies subjects through various social media, students are easier to understand social studies material because it often appears on social media that students play. The negative influence of online-based learning media on social studies subjects; Teachers are "forced" to understand and master social media, Students are busy playing social media while studying, Students are required to have gadgets, The emergence of social inequality between students

Abstract

Hybrid learning is also applied at SMA Negeri 1 Tondano, where initially the teaching and learning process at this school was carried out online from the homes of both teachers and students. infrastructure constraints, facilities and infrastructure are mainly related to media and learning tools that must be provided by students, but due to the different abilities of students, especially economically, there are students who can access learning smoothly and some are limping along with learning. The purpose of this study is to reveal the effectiveness of Online and Offline Learning (Hybrid Learning) for Students at SMA Negeri 1 Tondano. The method used is a qualitative research method. The results of this study are; some students have difficulty completing online learning tools, students' ability to use digital media increases, face-to-face learning becomes a variation of online learning, lecture methods are less effective in learning using online media, assignment methods or projects through digital media are of interest to students, affective assessment of students is a little difficult conducted.

Abstract

In the online teaching and learning process during the pandemic at the Unima History Education Department, of course the success of this learning process depends on the successful collaboration between all parts into a learning system that carries out their respective functions well so that learning objectives will be achieved properly. Furthermore, the issue of core factors that are indeed very vital if not properly regulated or organized where these factors significantly affect the achievement of learning objectives during this pandemic. The purpose of this study is to reveal the Crucial Factors in the Management of History Learning in the Pandemic Period (Studies at the Department of History Education, Unima). The method used is a qualitative research method. The results of this study are; The Crucial Factors in the Management of History Learning in the Pandemic Period (Studies at the Department of History Education at Unima) are as follows; driving factors: the Unima learning management system (LMS), the quota subsidy from the government, lecturers and students have plenty of time to prepare for online learning from their homes. Inhibiting factors: the available facilities are inadequate, there are still many lecturers who are not technology literate, lecturers and students have to learn a lot about the digital world, some students cannot access learning tools and media, and it is difficult for lecturers to supervise student learning activities.

Abstract

One of the most important things that must be prepared before teaching in schools is the lesson plan (RPP) which has also been previously taught on campus in the Microteaching course. This lesson plan needs to be prepared by the PL teacher from the start so that students have guidelines in teaching. The purpose of this study is to reveal the extent to which the use of lesson plans by field practice teachers in the learning process at SMA Negeri 1 Tondano. The method used is a qualitative research method where this method basically looks at a phenomenon or social reality and then analyzes it using the researcher's own point of view. There are three lines of qualitative data analysis, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study are as follows: 1. Field Practice Teachers (PL)  do not really understand the use of RPP in PBM as a whole, 2. PBM implementation is carried out spontaneously not based on RPP, 3. RPP helps Field Practice Teachers (PL)  on certain components during PBM, 4. Some Field Practice Teachers (PL)  try to use lesson plans as much as possible in PBM, 5. PL teachers face many obstacles in using lesson plans in PBM

Abstract

Kelurahan Rurukan disebut sebagai desa wisata agro bisnis karena Kelurahan Rurukan merupakan penghasil tanaman hortikultura di Sulawesi Utara sehingga sebagian besar mata pencaharian masyarakat sebagai petani. Pendidikan juga menjadi perhatian petani di kelurahan Rurukan meskipun banyak di antara mereka yang tedak menamatkan bangku sekolah namun mereka tidak menginginkan hal tersebut terjadi kepada anak-anak mereka. Metode penelitian adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data wawancara dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kelurahan Rurukan sebagai kelurahan yang memiliki agrobisnis, salah satu tanaman sumber mata pencaharian masyarakat yakni wortel, para orang tua sebagai petani wortel sangat mementingkan pendidikan anak-anaknya, proses produksi sayuran wortel dilakukan melalui pengolahan lahan, penanaman, pemeliharan dan panen, pasar tradisional tomohon dan swalayan sekitaran  kota tomohon memiliki peran memperlancar arus pemasaran produk pertanian khususnya wortel
