Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi yang semakin maju dan pesatnya kondisi pasar industri menutut perusahaan untuk mampu memberikan kepuasan kepada konsumen, dengan cara memberikan produk yang sesuai dengan standar kualitas. Salah satu hal yang harus dilakukan untuk mengurangi cacat pada produk adalah melakukan pengendalian kualitas. Dengan adanya pelaksanaan pengendalian diharapkan menjamin tercapainya sasaran jangka pendek maupun jangka panjang yang telah ditetapkan perusahaan. Perusahaan dituntut untuk memperhatikan produk yang dihasilkan, di antaranya dengan memberikan perhatian pada kualitas produk. Untuk meminimalisir terjadinya produk dengan kualitas yang kurang baik. Maka dilakukan kegiatan dengan menggunakan metode Quality Control Circle (QCC). Metode analisis yang dilakukan adalah dengan menggunakan diagram fishbone. Dengan kegiatan yang dilakukan diharapkan perbaikan kualitas akan terus berlangsung, dan kualitas semakin membaik. Untuk meminimalisir terjadinya pembuatan barang yang kurang berkualitas pihak perusahaan mewajibkan setiap operator untuk menjaga 3M (Tidak menerima, Tidak membuat, Tidak meneruskan). Selain itu jika terjadi upnormal pada saat proses berlansung, maka operator diharuskan untuk melakukan tindakan Stop, Call, Wait (SCW).

Abstract

ABSTRAKArtikel ini menyajikan hasil penelitian tentang perkembangan preferensi dan persepsi personal peserta program pendidikan profesi guru. Penelitian longitudinal ini dilakukan di salah satu universitas penyelenggara pendidikan profesi guru biologi di Indonesia selama satu setengah tahun. Sejumlah 23 peserta program pendidikan profesi guru biologi yang menjadi subyek penelitian ini memiliki latar belakang akademik sarjana biologi dan tidak memiliki pengalaman melaksanakan penelitian pendidikan. Dokumen rancangan dan laporan penelitian tindakan kelas peserta selama mengikuti pendidikan profesi guru merupakan sumber data utama penelitian yang menggunakan desain penelitian campuran tipe eksploratori sekuensial. Kuesioner tentang kemampuan konten biologi merupakan instrumen pendukung yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa preferensi tema konten biologi peserta selalu berubah. Persepsi personal peserta terhadap konten biologi yang dipilihnya sebagai fokus penelitian juga bervariasi. Sebagai tambahan, pemilihan konten yang dijadikan fokus penelitian tidak terkait dengan kepercayaan diri peserta terhadap pemahaman konten yang dimilikinya. ABSTRACTThis paper presents results of study on the development of professional training program participants’ personal perceptions and preferences toward biology content which were used as their research subject along the program. This longitudinal study was carried out in one of universities which conducted professional training program. As many as 23 participants have an undergraduate degree in biology and did have not educational research experience. The main data source for this sequential exploratory research design was participants’ classroom action research document which was analyzed along the program. Questionnaire on biological content capabilities was used as an additional instrument to identify participant’s personal perception. Results showed that biology content themes used are always changing. Personal perception of participants according to biology content also varied. In addition, biology content chosen as research focus was not related with the level of complexity of the content and participants self-efficacy.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian berjudul "Pengembangan Multiple Choice Uji Berdasarkan Berpikir Kritis Inch dan Profil nya di SMA Bandung Tema Penyakit Manusia" merupakan penelitian deskriptif. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya tes pilihan ganda yang didasarkan elemen dan sub elemen pemikiran Inch kritis. tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengembangkan tes pilihan ganda didasarkan pada pemikiran kritis Inch dan menggambarkan profilnya di SMA Bandung pada tema penyakit manusia. populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh SMA mahasiswa di Bandung, sedangkan sampel tiga siswa SMA di Bandung, masing-masing mewakili cluster 1, cluster 2 dan cluster 3. sampel diambil dengan teknik multistage sampling. data ditangkap dengan menggunakan tes pilihan ganda didasarkan pada delapan elemen dan 26 sub-elemen pemikiran Inch kritis. instrumen ini digunakan untuk menangkap data dalam bentuk nilai prestasi siswa SMA di Bandung untuk berpikir kritis pada tema penyakit manusia. pencapaian pemikiran Inch kritis pada siswa SMA di Bandung adalah 76,2%. hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa pencapaian pemikiran Inch kritis pada siswa SMA di Bandung adalah baik. pencapaian ini diperoleh dari kontribusi berbagai elemen pemikiran kritis Inch yang berurutan dari terbesar ke nomor terkecil adalah tujuan 90, 4%, asumsi 86,0%, interpretasi dan inferensi 84,3%, 75,1% informasi, implikasi dan concequences 74,9%, sudut pandang 69,1%, pertanyaan pada masalah 65,1%, dan konsep 64 , 4%.ABSTRACTThe study entitled "Development of Multiple Choice Test Based on Inch’s Critical Thinking and Its Profile in Senior High School of Bandung on Themes of Human Disease” is a descriptive study. The study was motivated by the importance of multiple choice test which is based the elements and sub elements of Inch’s critical thinking. The aims of this study to develop of multiple choice test based on Inch’s critical thinking and describe its profile in Senior High School of Bandung on themes of human disease. The population in this study were all senior high school students in Bandung, while the samples were three senior high school students in Bandung, each representing cluster 1, cluster 2 and cluster 3. Samples were taken with a multistage sampling technique. Data captured by using a multiple choice tests based on the eight elements and 26 sub-elements of Inch’s critical thinking. This instrument is used to capture data in the form of the achievement scores of high school students in Bandung to critical thinking on the theme of human disease. Achievement of Inch’s critical thinking on high school students in Bandung is 76,2%. These results indicate that the achievement of Inch’s critical thinking on Senior High School students in Bandung is good. This achievement was obtained from the contribution of the elements of Inch’s critical thinking sequentially from largest to smallest number are purpose 90,4%, assumptions 86,0%, interpretation and inference 84,3%, information 75,1%, implication and concequences 74,9%, point of view 69,1%, question at issue 65,1%, and concepts 64,4%.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian mengenai penggunaan biomasa jamur Pleurotus ostreatus dalam penyerapan logam krom dari larutan limbah cair penyamakan kulit melalui proses biosorpsi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan biomassa yang berbeda-beda terhadap kapasitas biosorpsi logam krom oleh jamur Pleurotus ostreatus pada limbah cair penyamakan kulit. Parameter yang diukur yaitu banyaknya serapan ion logam (q) untuk tiap gram biomassa yang digunakan. Enam variasi biomassa kering dari jamur Pleurotus ostreatus yaitu (0,04) g; (0,08) g; (0,12) g; (0,16) g; (0,20) g; (0,24) g dalam bentuk serbuk dicampurkan kedalam 0,25 L larutan limbah penyamakan kulit. Untuk pH larutan diatur hingga pH 5 dan waktu kontak penelitian yang digunakan adalah 80 menit berdasarkan hasil pra-penelitian. Konsentrasi larutan krom sebelum dan setelah perlakuan ditentukan dengan metoda AAS (Atomic Absorption Spectrometry). Konsentrasi logam krom sebelum perlakuan adalah 297,5 mg/L dan setelah proses pengontakan dengan biomassa jamur Pleurotus ostreatus kadar logam krom dalam larutan limbah dapat terserap hingga kisaran 73%- 80%. Serapan ion logam tertinggi terjadi pada biomassa perlakuan 0,04 gram yaitu sebesar 148,83 ± 2,58 mg/g dan terendah pada biomassa perlakuan 0,24 gram yaitu sebesar 22,75 ± 0,62 mg/g. Kapasitas biosorpsi maksimum dari jamur tiram putih (Pleurotus ostreatus) terjadi pada konsentrasi biomassa yang rendah dan mengalami penurunan seiring dengan peningkatan kosentrasi biomassa yang digunakan.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis efektivitas SQ5R (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Record, Reflect and Review) terhadap pengetahuan konseptual dan retensi siswa SMA pada pembelajaran Sistem Reproduksi Manusia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode weak experiment dengan desain ”The One Group Pre-Post and Retest” yang melibatkan 34 siswa SMA Kelas XI jurusan IPA. Pengetahuan konseptual siswa yang dijaring dengan tiga buah peta konsep melalui teknik fill in meningkat dengan N-gain pada subkonsep Sistem Reproduksi Pria, Sistem Reproduksi Wanita dan Gangguan Reproduksi Manusia berturut-turut adalah 0,4; 0,3 dan 0,5 yang termasuk kedalam kategori sedang. Retensi siswa meningkat dengan skor 96%, yang termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik. Efektivitas pembelajaran dengan SQ5R terlihat dari peningkatan hasil pre-test terhadap post-test yang dijaring menggunakan soal pilihan ganda. Nilai rata-rata sebelum pembelajaran adalah 47,5 dan setelah pembelajaran adalah 74 dengan N-gain 0,5, yang termasuk kategori sedang. Hasil penjaringan daftar cek keterlaksanaan SQ5R menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar (90,2%) siswa sudah melaksanakan tahapan SQ5R dan keterlaksanaannya mengalami peningkatan pada setiap pertemuan. Penjaringan angket tentang respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran dengan SQ5R menunjukkan bahwa 47,1% siswa merasa senang mengikuti pembelajaran dan penerapan SQ5R dalam membaca artikel membantu mereka (94,2%) dalam memahami materi Sistem Reproduksi Manusia.ABSTRACTThis study was conducted to analyze the effectiveness of SQ5R on conceptual knowledge and retention of high school students in learning the Human Reproductive System. The method was weak experiment using “one group pre-post-re test design” involving 34 senior high school students in science class XI. Student conceptual knowledge collected using fill in techniques of concept maps increased with N-gain of Male Reproductive System, Female Reproductive System and Disorders of Human Reproduction were 0,4, 0,3, and 0,5 respectively. Research also found that retention was excellent with average retest grade of 96%. The learning effectiveness through SQ5R proven by the increase of average pretest grade from (47,5) to post-test (74,5) with N-gain in medium level (0,5). The result of SQ5R feasibility check list showed that 90,2% of student already carried out SQ5R stage. Based on student responses, application of SQ5R made 47,1% of student enjoy the learning. There were also 94,2% of student said that SQ5R helped them to understand the concept of Human Reproductive System.

Abstract

A study on the profile of the continuous professional development (CPD) program of biology teacher in West Java has been done descriptively since March until November 2010. The study was aimed to obtain several information about professional activities have been being followed by biology teachers in West Java. This information was then used to draw CPD profile conducted by biology teachers in an effort to enhance their competencies and their professional quality. Respondents of the study were biology teachers qualified to follow teacher certification and employing in senior high schools of 11 cities in West Java. Information about perceptions of the teacher on teacher improvement programs, the forms of the professional activities of the teacher and the sources supporting the teacher to follow those activities were collected using questionaire. The result shown that biology teachers in West Java had good perception on improving the quality of the teacher and there are eight forms of professional activity which were followed by biology teachers in West Java in an effort to enhance their own professional quality. The seven forms of professional activities were Education and Training (Diklat), Workshop, Seminar, writing teaching material, visiting scientific institutions, doing research, writing and publishing article and/or a textbook. Three out of those seven forms of professional activity had high teacher involvement scale, which indicated that they were preferred by biology teacher. The three forms professional activities were Education and Training, Seminar, and Workshop. However, the number of each professional activity followed by teacher in the last three years was very low (less than one activity each year) due to several reasons. The four main reasons were no permission from school principal interconnecting with teacher task in the school, distance to the place of professional activities, financial, and teacher family.

Abstract

Abstrak ___________________________________________________________________ Higher order thinking skills sangat dibutuhkan untuk memahami permasalahan dan esensi materi perkuliahan Biologi Sel. Studi dengan desain Research and Development ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan penalaran dan berpikir analitik mahasiswa calon guru biologi melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Integrasi Atribut Asesmen Formatif (IAAF). Sejumlah 61 mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Biologi Universitas Negeri Semarang semester tiga yang sedang menempuh mata kuliah Biologi Sel menjadi subjek penelitian. Kemampuan penalaran dan berpikir analitik mahasiswa diukur melalui tugas individu, tugas kelompok pembuatan peta konsep dan penyusunan laporan reviu artikel, dan 30 item soal berbentuk selected response questions dan constructed response questions tervalidasi. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan penalaran dan berpikir analitik mahasiswa dapat berkembang secara signifikan, meskipun perkembangan kemampuan argumentasi, salah satu kategori kemampuan berpikir analitik, masih perlu perhatian yang cukup serius. Abstract ___________________________________________________________________ Higher order thinking skills are needed to understand the problem and the essence of the lecture material Biology Sel. Study design Research and Development aims to develop reasoning skills and analytic thinking biology student teachers through the application of learning models Integration Attributes Formative Assessment (IAAF). Some 61 students of Biology Education Semarang State University who is doing his third semester courses Cell Biology is the subject of research. Analytical reasoning and thinking ability of students is measured through individual assignments, group assignments concept map creation and preparation of the Review articles, and 30 items about the shape of the selected response and constructed response questions, validated questions. The result showed that the ability of reasoning and analytical thinking of students can be expanded significantly, although the development of the ability of argumentation, one category of analytic thinking skills, they need serious attention.

Abstract

In the current era of globalization, the need for Information Technology is indispensable as a support for business processes, so that with the support of this Information Technology, it will further develop the business that is run. One of the growing lodging businesses is Homestay Wisma Sarang Badak, which is located at Ujung Kulon Pandeglang National Park, Banten-Indonesia. There is still a lack of facilities and infrastructure to support this homestay, especially the limitations of information system-based technology media which have only relied on conventional recording in this case regarding room reservations. From the results of these observations, the idea emerged to research that place. Namely by building a Web-based room reservation information system. To build a room reservation information system, researchers use UML (Unified Modeling Language) as a design tool and use PHP and MySql programming languages as databases. As a result, it is hoped that with this information system, it can make it easier for customers to make room reservations. In addition, Homestay Wisma Sarang Badak can be widely known by the public. And then it can increase the number of customers and can increase income for managers.
