Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study was to describe the planning, implementation, and improvement of learning outcomes in the operation of time unit with the application of the Contextual Teaching And Learning approach of students at grade V in SD Negeri 05 Air Tawar Barat Kota Padang. This research was classroom action research with qualitative and quantitative approaches. Subjects of this research were teachers and 34 students. The results showed: a) lesson plan in cycle 1, was 82. 14%, increased to 92,85% in cycle 2. b) teacher activity in cycle 1 was 80,35% increased to 92,85% in cycle 2. c) student activity in cycle 1 was 71,42%  and it increased to 89,28%  in cycle 2. d) student learning outcomes  in cycle 1 was  77.70  increased to 88,08 in cycle 2. It could be concluded that Contextual Teaching And Learning can improve student learning outcomes on operation of time unit at grade 5 of elementary school student. Keywords: time unit, CTL, learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the use of learning mathematics Android-based media to the critical thinking skills of students. Matematika is one of the basic science that has a very important role in the effort to the field of science and technology. More added math may prepare students to apply mathematics that are needed in everyday use. This type of research quasi-experimentalresearch design Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study were all fourth grade learners Al-Azhar Bukittinggi. The sampling technique is done by using purposive sampling, so the class was selected as the control class IVA and IVB class as a class experiment. Before determining the samples, then tested using the analysis prerequisite test for normality and homogeneity. Instruments used in the form of objective tests.Based on the results of data analysis calculations t-test with a level of 0.05 was obtained signifikasn t (2,51) and ttable (2.10). So that t> t table, where 2.51> 2.10. Thus it can be concluded that Ha is received, which is containedthe effect of the use of learning mathematics Android-based media to the critical thinking ability of students learning in fourth grade Denomination Al-Azhar Bukittinggi.

Abstract

This reseach aims at finding out a significant difference of students learning outcomes of the scale between the PBL and Problem Posing Models of learning outcomes Scale in the Plan in class V SD Group 1 Payakumbuh City. This type of research is an experiment using a quasi-experimental design in the form of a pretest-posttest non-equivalent group. The samples were students of class VA and VB of SDN 28 Payakumbuh. The research sample was 40 students selected based on cluster random sampling technique. The instrument used in collecting data is a test with a description form. Based on the t-test of the students post-test scores, it was found that tcount 2,08> ttable 2,02 α 0,05. It means the PBL model is a better compared to the Problem Posing model class V SD Group 1 Payakumbuh City.Keywords: PBL, Problem Posing, sclae learning outcomes.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study was based on the low learning outcomes of students. The purpose of this study was to improve the learning outcomes about trapezoidal and kite story by using the polya strategy in grade V SDN 34 Tanah Sirah Kecamatan Lubuk Begalung, Padang.  The subjects in this study were teachers and 30 students. The result of observation of lesson plan in cycle I was 73.2, and the result in second cycle was increasing which was 92.9. Implementation of learning aspects of teacher in cycle I was 79.2 and it increased in cycle II which was 94.4. Implementation of learning aspects of students in cycle I was 79.2, and in cycle II it increased to 91.7. The improvement of student learning outcomes can be seen from the three aspects, the result in learning outcomes also showed improvement from cycle I to cycle II which were 76.9 in cycle I and 83.8 in cycle II.Key word. learning outcomes, polya strategy Keywords : The Improvement Of Student Learning Outcomes, The Polya Strategi

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of the this research was to know differences in learning outcomes of calculating broad trapezoid and kite using the cooperative model type Numbered Head Together (NHT) with convensional learning in class V SD 13 Parit Putus. This research design is quasi experiment with nonequivalent control group design. The sample in this study is class V SDN 13 Parit Putus,VA class is exsperiment class and VB class is control class. The results showed that there were influences in calculating flat bilding outcomes using the NHT type cooperative model with the convensional learning  in V SDN 13 Parit Putus,Agam. This is evidenced by the results of tcount 2.190 and t table at a significance level of 0.05 at 1.68595, so that t count> t table. Keyword : calculating broad trapezoid and kite, NHT

Abstract

This research aims to produce android-based mathematics learning media for elementary school. This research is based on the results of observations in the field that students' ability to communicate mathematics mathematically is still lacking. In the research conducted is research with the type of development research (Research and Development) with ADDIE models, namely Analysis (analysis), Design (design), Development (development), Implementation (implementation), and Evaluation (evaluation). Learning media that have been developed will be assessed and validated by experts who are competent in their fields. The instrument used in this study is a questionnaire in the form of teacher responses and student responses to the android-based mathematics learning media. Results: 1) The author has produced an Android-based mathematics learning media on flat waking circumference material for fourth grade students of SD / MI, 2) Expert judgment in material validation and media validation which gets a percentage of 95% at very valid intervals, 3) responses Grade IV SD / MI students on the practicality of media based on Android mathematics learning obtained an evaluation percentage of 87%. This value is at very very practical intervals.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to improve the learning outcomes of extensive trapeziodal and kite by using Cooperative Learning type Jigsaw of 5th grade elementary school’s students. Type of this research was classroom action research with qualitative and quantitative approach. Subjects of this research were students of 5th grade were 24 people of 10 boys and 14 girls. Research conducted in two cycles with research procedure included of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The result of research was improve a) Lesson plan of the cycle of I was 83,9% and lessen pland of the cycle II was 92,86%, b) The implementation of teacher’s activity of  cycle I was 87,49% and cycle II was 92,86% while the implementation student’s activity of cycle I was 82,1% and cycle II was 92,86%, c) the student’s learning outcomes in the cycle I was 75,06 and cycle II was 88,95. The conclusion of this research was the using of Cooperative Learning model type Jigsaw can improve students achievement in learning extensive trapeziodal and kite  of 5th grade at SDN 39 Pasar Ambacang Kota Padang.Keyword : Learning outcomes, Cooperative Learning, Jigsaw

Abstract

This study aims to find out the differences between the use of Student Team-Achievement Divisions (STAD) type Cooperative learning models and Team Assisted Individualition (TAI) on the results of Multiplication and Decimal Multiplication and Distribution. This type of research is an experiment using a quasi-experimental design with the pretest-posttest non-equivalent group. The sample in this study was the VA class and VB SD N 02 Sariak. The study sample consisted of 21 VA class students as the STAD model group and 21 VB class students as the selected TAI model group based on purposive sampling technique. The results of the calculation of the research data used is the t-test obtained by t count 8.11> t table 1.68385 at the level of α 0.05. This means that the use of the STAD model is better than the TAI model on the learning outcomes of multiplication and division of fractions and decimals. Keywords  : STAD Cooperative, TAI, Students Learning Outcomes,Mathematic

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of learning with the Cooperative Learning Model Type NHT on the learning outcomes of broad trapezoidal and kite. This type of research is quantitative research with experimental methods, with a quasi experimental design with the form of a pretest-posttest non-euivalent group. The results showed that the average value of the pretest of the experimental group was 55.4 and the control group was 57.8. Analysis of the two groups using the t-test, obtained results of tcount of -6.382 and ttable at the 0.05 significance level of 2.024, so that tcount < ttable. While the average posttest value of the experimental group was 79.6 and the control group was 65.8. Analysis of the two groups using the t-test, obtained results of tcount of 4.0588 and ttabel at the 0.05 significance level of 2.024, so that tcount > t table. This shows that there are influences on the broad learning outcomes of trapezoidal and kites using the NHT type cooperative learning model.                                                                   Keywords : NHT Model, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

This research aims at improving students’ abilities to solve Mathematical Word Problems about LCM and GCD by using the Polya Strategy at Class IV of SD Dian Andalas, Padang. This Class action research applied both qualitative an quantitative approaches. The subject were the teacher as an observer, the researcher as a practitionaire, and the students of the class. The research result shows some improvements. In term of lesson plans, the score increased from 76.79% in cycle I to 92.86 in cycle II. In term of teacher’s aspect, the score enhanced from 75% in cycle I to 90.63% in cycle II. Meanwhile, in term of the student’s aspect, the score increased from 65.63% in cycle I to 90.63% in cycle II. Finally, the student’s learning outcomes enhanced from 76.18 in cycle I to 85.23 in cycle II.
