Abstract

Handout in brochure form use mind map is one of handout that can summarize learning material in simple form, so that students easier to connect facts in learning material, students can optimum thinking skill, understand learning material and can communication or told learning material that have they studied before by teacher. The purposes of this research were producing a high validity, a practicability and an effectivly of handout in brochure form use mind map. The type of research is Research and Development (R&D). The object of research was handout in brochure form use mind map and the subject of research was  students on grade VIII in Junior High School 8 Padang. The instruments that used to collect of data were the validation sheets, practicability sheets, and learning outcome sheets. The product and data analysis techniques that used were graphic method, description statistic analysis, and compare mean test. Based on the data analysis that has been done, it could be presented three research results. First, handout in brochure form use mind map on that produced has a high validity with an average value of lecture validity result of 83.88. Second, handout in brochure form use mind map were practice that indicated by the average value of physics teachers responses is  88.86 and 85.77 to average value of students responses. Three, implementing handout in brochure form use mind map was effective in Physics learning that indicated by increasing of significant learning on grade VIII of Junior High School 8 Padang before and after used handout in significant grade 5 %.

Abstract

Learning activities should be able to involved students actively in accordance with the demands in Curriculum 2013, in which the students were demanded to have some learning experiences such as observing, asking, trying or collecting information, logical reasoning or associating and communicating. One of the alternatives to improve student’s involvement is the Cycling Learning Strategy concerning to the result of Physic subject learning in grade X MIA SMAN 1 Ranah Pesisir. The purpose of this research is to know the Influence of Applying 7-E Model Learning Cycle with Scientific Approach to Curriculum 2013 toward the Result of Physic Subject Learning in grade X MIA SMAN 1 Ranah Pesisir. Research type for this experiment is Quasi Experimental Research with Randomized Control Group Only Design. Population of research is all of grade X MIA students in SMAN 1 Ranah Pesisir who registered in the year of 2014/2015. Sample taking was done by using Cluster Sampling technique. Research sample prioritized grade X MIA4 as experimental class and grade X MIA3 as control class with identical number of sampling objects. Research data included competencies of three categories namely attitude, knowledge and skills. Research instrument in the form of learning result test was done for knowledge, observation sheets were done for attitude and performance rating sheets were done for skills. Data analysis technique was using test of similarity with two averages in the real value result 0,05 According to the data of experimental result, the results of student’s learning in the category of knowledge, attitude and skills can be retrieved from each of experimental classes which shows 80,02, 84,08, 78,59 and 81,72. They were higher than the control classes that shows 71,57, 78,09, 73,44 and 76,31. So it can be concluded that the application of 7-E Model Learning Cycle with scientific approach to Curriculum 2013 have a significant influence for the result of Physic subject learning in grade X MIA SMAN 1 Ranah Pesisir in category of attitude, knowledge and skills with the real value result 0,05

Abstract

This study discusses the use of student worksheet (LKS) oriented by Think-Talk-Write (TTW) cooperative learning model with Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) type on parabolic and circular motion material on physics learning outcomes from class X students of SMAN 8 Padang. The aim of the study is to investigate differences in physics learning outcomes by using this LKS. The type of this research is a pseudo-experimental study using the Randomized Control-Group Posttest Only design. The population of this study was the class X students of SMAN 8 Padang in the first semester who were registered in the 2018/2019 academic year. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. Based on data analysis, it was found that the data on students' physics learning outcomes were as follows. First, for the attitude competencies, the average value of students in the experimental class 1 and 2 were 77.34 and 88.38 respectively. Second, for knowledge competencies, the average value of students in the experimental class 1 and 2 were 41.32 and 43.24, respectively. Third, for skills competency, the average values of students in the experimental class 1 and 2 are 76.14 and 79.29, respectively. The hypothesis test result showed differences that mean physics learning outcomes of students using LKS oriented cooperative learning model TTW type with TAI type on parabolic motion material and circular motion in class X SMAN 8 Padang only in the attitude competence at a significant level of 0.05.

Abstract

Student competence on physics subject in the class X MIPA SMAN 1 Pariaman not as expected caused by several factors, teachers rarely use the varied learning model, and lack of students understanding on learning materials in solving problems.  Lesson book contain comprehensif  is one of the ways that is considered effective to improve the achievement of student physics competence. In the fact, lesson of the physics not be affective caused still use traditional models and dominan to result knowledge competence. Actually in the 2013 curriculum’s has several request for student : in the lesson physics student mus be active in observing, asking, trying, communicating and representation. The research type is quasi experiment research with non equivalent control group design. The study population is the students of class X MIPA SMAN 1 Pariaman registered in 2016/2017. Sampling is done by purposive sampling technique. The research instruments are final tests for knowledge competencies, observation sheets for attitude competencies, and scoring rubrics for skills competencies. The data obtained were analyzed using graphical analysis for attitude competence, two-averaging equality analysis and t correlation analysis for knowledge competence and two-averaging equality analysis for skill competence. Based on the data analysis could be presented the result of this research.  using  handout containing comprehensive intelligence has given significant effect toward Physics competency of students grade X SMAN 1 Pariaman with 0,05 signification level

Abstract

Low competence of Physics students due to some factors; the lack of teachers’ concerns about students’ basic knowledge, the teachers are not common to reveal the real problems happened in the students’ environment, the learning material used have not based on the scientific approach, and the using of ICT has not been maximal yet. The aim of this research was to find out one solution of the problems above by using learning material based on scientific approach through ICT by applying PBL model which the purpose is to improve the students’ Physics competence at grade X of SMA N 10 Padang. This was a Queasy Experiment research with Factorial Design 2 X 2. The population was the students of grade X MIA in SMA N 10 Padang which registered at the Academic Year of 2015/2016. Samples were taken by using Purposive Sampling. The instruments are observation formats for competence of attitudes, post-test for competence of knowledge, and assessment rubric for competence of skill. The data obtained were analyzed by using graphical analysis for the competence of attitudes, two directions of variant analysis for the competence of knowledge and skill. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that there are significant differences of using learning material based on scientific approach through ICT by applying PBL model towards the students’ competence of attitudes, knowledge and skill at the significant degree of 95%.

Abstract

The demands of the  Century must have the competence of critical thinking, communicating, linking global issues and having the ability to read and write. The government's efforts to meet the demands of the  century are to improve the curriculum and the School Literacy Movement program. But the reality at senior high school does not illustrate the ideal conditions. The solution of this problem is to use physics teaching materials with scientific literacy. The purpose of this research is to overcome this problem by developing physics teaching materials with scientific literacy. and determine the validity of physics teaching materials with scientific literacy. Research conducted includes the type of Research and Development. The object of this research is physics teaching material with scientific literacy about the material of rotational dynamics, rigid equilibrium, elasticity and hooke law. The data source of this research is the result of the validation of experts including physics lecturers at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UNP as validators. Based on data analysis from research that has been done, obtained physics teaching materials with scientific literacy about rotational dynamics, rigid equilibrium, elasticity and hooke law which are very valid with an average validity value of 90.51. So, it can be concluded that physics teaching materials that contain scientific literacy on the material of rotational dynamics, rigid equilibrium, elasticity and hooke laws are valid.

Abstract

One of the most important learning tools in 2013 Curriculum to support Basic Competence skill is student’s worksheet But in reality, many schools that have not optimized the lab activities in school because there is no complete student’s worksheet in accordance with the demands of the curriculum. Therefore, the curriculum should be designed in accordance with the demands of 2013 Curriculum. In this case the designed curriculum is in the form of virtual laboratory that are accessed through ICT. The advantages of virtual laboratory-based student’s worksheet can improve the mastery of abstract physical concepts. The purpose of this research is to produce student’s worksheet design based on virtual laboratory through ICT. Research conducted including the type of Research and development (R & D) with the appropriate steps proposed by Sugiyono. The object of the research is student’s worksheet based on virtual laboratory through ICT on wave matter, optics, and global warming of class XI SMA. Based on the analysis of data obtained obtained two research results. First, the design of student’s worksheet based on virtual laboratory. Second, the result of validity for student’s worksheet based on virtual laboratory with result of average validity value is 90,19. This shows that the student’s worksheet based on virtual laboratory through ICT on the material of light and global warming is valid to be used in Physics learning in SMA XI class.

Abstract

In the 21st century the 2013 curriculum emphasizes learning. 2013 curriculum based learning should pay attention to the modern pedagogic dimension in physics learning, using a scientific approach. In fact, this learning has not been carried out maximally so that students critical thinking, motivation and problem solving skills are still in the low category. One solution to this problem is the physics of fluid instructional material containing scientific literacy and HOTS. The purpose of this study was determining the differences in student’s competencies before and after using fluid instructional materials containing scientific literacy and HOTS in grade XI of SMAN 10 Padang. The type of research conducted is a quasi-experimental with one group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study were all class XI students of SMAN 10 Padang academic year 2018/2019. The sample in the study was class XI MIPA 1 which was obtained by purposive sampling technique. The research instrument was in the form of a written test for knowledge competencies, observation sheets for attitude competencies and scientific performance assessments for skills competencies. Analysis of the data used was descriptive statistical test analysis and analysis of comparative tests correlated for competency attitudes, knowledge, and skills. The results of this study are that the use of fluid instructional materials with scientific literacy and HOTS gives a difference to the competency of students before and after class XI of SMAN 10 Padang with a confidence level of 95%. Thus, the use of fluid instructional materials provides a meaningful influence on student competencies including competency attitudes, knowledge, and skills.

Abstract

Learning Devices are devices used in the learning process. Learning tools must be able to assist students in forming competencies and character. Based on the observation of learning devices at this time can not help students in forming competencies and character well . In addition, the student activity in the learning process is still passive.  Therefore, learning tools are developed that can support the achievement of students' competencies and character. The purpose of this study is to develop Integrated Science learningmedia like lesson plans along with student worksheet based on Creative Problem Solving models with valid and practical criteria. The type of this research is Research and Development (R&D). The R&D research method used to produce certain products. The subject were students of SMPN 33 Padang grade VIII which registrated in 2019/2020 academic year and two science teachers. Based on the result of this study, the validity of this product is 80,92% with a valid of category, the practicality according to the teacher is 83,71% with very practical category, and the practicality according to the students is 84,72% with a very practical category.

Abstract

Ineffective achievement of student competency in learning physics caused by several factors:Teacher use the textbooks of the school when giving lesson about physics, teacher haven’t used ICT materials yet optimally. Scientific approach hasn’t been optimally applied in learning of physics. Teacher are not enough yet in giving some of problems related about materials before starting the lessons. And then the problems that are explained by teacher don’t have the concrete steps to be solved. The solution which is offered in this research is by using e-learning module in setting learning model Problem Based Instruction (PBI). That is aim to increase the achievement of physics competence for student at class X SMAN 3 Padang. To achieve that purpose, it needs to do a quasy experiment research by using the student at class X MIA SMAN 3 Padang who have been registered for 2016/2017 period as population and the sample chosen with purposive sampling technique. An instrument sheets of observation to competence attitude, post-test is to knowledge competence, and performance assessment for competence skills. The data will be analyzed by a chart for analysis attitude competency, using test equality of two average to knowledge competence and skills competence. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that there is an influence from the user of learning module in setting model about PBI learning which is related in increasing competence achievement of physics for student class X SMAN 3 Padang by having 95% as the confidence rate
