Abstract

Abstract: The objective of this research was to develop the student’s activity paper on the subject of salt hydrolysis. The type of this research was reserach and development (R & D) with the 4-D development model which include Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. This research was to develop phase and be continue with a definite tryout. This research was conducted in FKIP Riau University. The object of this research was the students’ activity paper based on the problem solving. The data analysis technique used for this research was descriptive statistic descriptive. The descriptive analysis done by calculated the percentage of validation value. The average score of valuation to four expediency aspect of student’s activity sheet by validator’s team, such as the content properness, the language properness, course and the graphical has expediency value continued is 98,125%, 100%, 97,50%, and 98,44%. Thus, the average score totality of student’s activity paper based on the problem solving subject of salt hydrolysis is 98,52% which is in valid criteria, means that the LKPD Developed is proper to be use. Whereas percentage response of student or university student is 97,36% to LKPD with very good criteria. Key Words: Student Activity Sheet, Problem Solving, and Salt Hydrolysis.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to increase student achievement by application of active learning strategies types reviews style game Hollywood Squares on learning topic of Colloid in XI IPA SMA N 14 Pekanbaru. This is an experimental research with randomized control group pretest-posttest design. Subject of this research are XI IPA 1 as the experimental class, XI IPA 3 as the control class which were determined randomly after conducting normality and homogeneity test. The experimental group was treated with the application of active learning strategies types reviews style game Hollywood Squares while the control group without the application active learning strategies types reviews style game Hollywood Squares. The data analysis to test the hypothesis was using t-test right side. Based on the data analysis, it is obtaine tcount = 2,39 and ttable = 1,67 with α=0,05, dk=59. tcount > ttable is 2,39 > 1,67, It’s mean that the application of active learning strategies types reviews style game Hollywood Squares can improve students achievement on the subject of colloid in XI IPA SMA Negeri 14 Pekanbaru. The raising student achievement category in the experimental class including a high score by normalized gain of 0,79.Keywords: active learning strategies types reviews style game Hollywood Squares, learning achievement

Abstract

A survey in the agribusiness of dairy goat smallholder had been conducted in Kaligesing district of Purworejo region at 13 rd September up to 7th November 2001. The survey studied the factors effecting the milk yield, in how the factors influence economically. Forty eight respondents (dairy goat smallholders) were used in this study and interview method was applied for collecting data. The variables were observed; lactation goat, man power, garage, and concentrate ration. Cobb-Douglass method was applied for analyzing the data. To know the economic efficiency of the agribusiness was approached by the ratio between the Marginal Product Value an input cost. From the data analysis it could be in formatted that the numbers of lactating goat and the numbers of lactating goat and the numbers of concentrate were significant influence on the milk yield, white the man power and the forage were not significant influence. For the numbers of lactating goat and concentrate, economically the efficiency was not yet reached, so the use of the factors were ought to be increased up to an appoint limited. On the other hand the man power and forage was not efficient, so the use of the factors need to be descreased. Abstract

Generally Madrasah has weak competitiveness in many sectors. One of them is the availability and management of human resources that is less optimal. This has led to the low professionalism of human resources who manage education institutions of Madrasah in Indonesia. As a result, the quality of Madrasah is still left behind by other public educational institutions. Some efforts to achieve a qualified Madrasah especially in terms of availability of professional human resources have been experiencing significant constraints, so that the level of public and government appreciation is relatively less. To improve the performance of Madrasah which is currently underestimated compared to the public schools, it is suggested to implement Total Quality Management (TQM) simultaneously. The application of TQM in Madrasah as Islamic education institution is obviously important to improve and maintain the quality of Madrasah. The implementation of human resource management at Madrasah is very effective in managing the teachers and education staffs in establishing and maintaining the quality of institutions. This is due to the fact that human factor (teacher and education staff) is the most strategic element in the management of Madrasah as Islamic educational institutions. روح المنافسة  في المدارس الدينية عامة ضعيفة. والسبب في ذلك ضعف وجود الموارد البشرية غير الفعّالة. هذا أدي إلى أن مهنية الموارد البشرية المنظم للمدارس الدينية في إندونيسيا – أغلبها – ضعيفة. لذا فإن نوعية وجودة المنظمين للمدارس الدينية متأخرة إذا قورنت بالمنظمين للمدارس العامة. والمحاولة لإيجاد المدارس الدينية الجيدة لا تزال فيها عوائق كثيرة، خاصة فيما يتعلق بتوفر الموارد البشرية المهنية حتى يكون اهتمام وقبول المجتمع والحكومة  بها ناقص. ولترقية انجازات المدارس الدينية يحسن تطبيق TQM متواصلا. وهذا التطبيق – في المدارس الدينية – مهمّ جدا، لأنه به يمكن أن تدارالمدارس الدينية مهنيا لترقية جودتها والمحافظة على هذه الجودة. وتطبيق إدارة الموارد البشرية في المدارس الدينية فعال في تنظيم المدرسين والقائمين بالتربية في تكوين جودة المدارس الدينية والمحافظة عليها، لأن العنصر الإنساني هو عنصر هام في تنظيم وإدارة المؤسسة التربوية الإسلامية (المدارس الدينية) .

Abstract

Abstract: Classroom action research has been done on student’s activity and learning mastery on colloid subject in XI IPA 1 of SMAN 3 Pekanbaru. This research was conducted by applying active learning strategy of Card Sort. Improved student learning activity is the activity of asking questions, submit answers or opinions, working on exersices and group discussion, evaluation too.This research consisted of two cycles. Each cycle consisted of one meeting through four stages of implementation: planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques using observation and test. The result of action showed that activity percentage of students increased and reached the success indicator. Activity of student percentage in first cycle 57,89% with criteria enough and second cycle 71,85% with criteria good. The percentage of learning outcomes also increased and reached the success indicator. The average percentage in first cycle 68,57 and second cycle 85,71% . Based on the result obtained, it can be concluded that application active learning strategy of Card Sort can increase student’s activity and learning mastery.Keyword: Active Learning of Card Sort, Learning Activities, Learning Mastery

Abstract

Abstract: This study is aimed to develop learning media by using PowToon on the subject of Colloid at SMA/MA. The result of this study is a product of learning media in the form of CD (compact disk) for Colloid subject which has contents as follows: colloids system, the characteristics of colloids, the role colloids in life and manufactured of colloidal. This study used Research and Development (R&D) method with ADDIE model which has five stages of development; they are analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The development model was modified by the writer only until the development stage. The result of validation test showed that learning media on the subject of Colloid is valid with the result of validation by media experts and material experts 91,14%, so the developed learning media is properly used on the learning and teaching process. The result of the development has been limited test on 15 students and average score percentase obtained by 86,13%.Key Words : Development of learning media, PowToon, Colloid

The object of this research was the students’ activity paper based on the discovery learning. The data analysis technique used for this research was descriptive statistic descriptive. The descriptive analysis done by calculated the percentage of validation value. The average score of valuation to four expediency aspect of student’s activity sheet by validator’s team, such as the content properness, the language properness, course and the graphical has expediency value continued is 89,10%,, 90,00%, 10,00%, and 91,67%. Thus, the average score totality of student’s activity paper based on the discovery learning subject of macromolecule is 92,69% which is in valid criteria, means that the LKPD Developed is proper to be use. Whereas percentage response of student or collegian is 93,50% to LKPD with very good criteria.Key Words: Student Activity Sheet, Discovery Learning, and Macromolecule.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is aimed to find out the improvement of the students’ learning activity and completeness by using mysterious card and box learning media in hydrocarbons and crude oil topic at X.8 grade of SMAN 9 Pekanbaru in academic year 2015/2016. This research is class action research with two cycles research design. The sample of this research was X.8 grade students. They were given a corrective action in learning process by using mysterious card and box learning media. The data were collected by giving test and observation method. The researcher analyzed the data descriptively by using percentage technique. Based on the result of the data analysis, it can be concluded that the use of mysterious card and box learning media can improve students’ learning activity and completeness in Hydrocarbons and crude oil topic at X.8 grade of SMAN 9 Pekanbaru. It can be seen by the improvement of students’ learning activity from 72.35% at the first cycle to 88.81% at the second cycle, and learning completeness from 89.47% at the first cycle to 100% at the second cycle.Keywords: Mysterious card and box learning media (KOKAMI), Learning Completeness

Abstract

Critical thinking is vital for graduates in facing the dynamic life in order to strengthen their analysis ability and providing alternative solution towards the current problem. It is essential that units, courses, and material teach the critical thinking process have to provide an opportunity for students to excoriate certain problem and present the harmonious flow of thinking. Hoax news, the trending issue in a society as the reading materials, has abundance aspect to be criticized by students. Moreover, it has its own authenticity to be brought into a critical reading class as authentic materials which was not broadly discussed yet. This study aimed at paving the ways to improve the students’ critical thinking skills through reading hoax news. It is conducted to investigate the usage of hoax news in teaching critical reading for undergraduate students as well as particularize how far hoax news can enhance studenst’ critical thinking. This study employed classroom action research design. The subject of the study was the 31 students joining the critical reading class. The data were gotten from observation, document analysis and test. The essay test was the instrument used to assess the students’ critical thinking which later adopted the model of the Holistic Critical Thinking Scoring Rubric (HCTSR). The result of the study showed that using of hoax news significantly improve the students’ critical thinking followed by the development of interpretation, analysis and identification ability. The number students posed strong thinking increased from 6.45% to 72,2%. Using critical thinking can promote students’ high order thinking since it drives students to consider the fact and fake which demanding the high analysis and deep interpretation toward the presented text.   Keywords: Critical thinking, hoax news, teaching materials. INDONESIAN ABSTRACT Berpikir kritis merupakan hal yang penting dalam mengahadapi hidup yang dinamis untuk memperkuat kemampuan analisis serta memberikan alternatif solusi dalam memecahkan masalah yang dihadapi saat ini. Sangatlah penting dalam setiap unit pembelajaran, perkuliahan dan materi mengajarkan proses  berpikir kritis untuk menyiapkan siswa dalam menghadapi berbagai masalah dan merepresentasikan pemikiran secara runtut. Hoax News (Berita Hoax), permasalahan aktual di masyarakat, sebagai bahan bacaan menyuguhkan berbagai aspek untuk siswa kritisi. Terlebih, berita hoak mempunyai nilai autentik untuk dapat digunakan di kelas critical reading sebagai materi otentik yang belum banyak dibahas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan cara meningkatkan berpikir kritis siswa dengan menggunakan hoax news sebagai bahan bacaan. Selain itu, penelitian ini berupaya mengungkap penggunaan berita hoak dalam mengajarkan kritikal reading bagi siswa serta mengetahui seberapa jauh berita hoal dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian tindakan kelas. Data diperoleh dari observasi, analisis dokumen dan tes. Tes berbentuk uraian (essay) merupakan instrumen penelitian yang digunakan untuk mengukur tingkat berpikir kritis siswa yang mana rubric penilaian model Holistic Critical Thinking Scoring Rubric (HCTSR) diadopsi untuk keperluan ini. Pengamatan juga dilakukan untuk mendukung perolehan data dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan hoax news secara signifikan dapat meningkatkan tingkat berpikir kritis siswa yang diikuti dengan meningkatnya kemampuan interpretasi, analisis dan identifikasi. Jumlah siswa yang memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis yang kuat meningkat dari 6.45% menjadi 72,2%. Menggunakan berita hoak dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis karena materi ini memacu siswa untuk berpikir kritis dan melakukan analisa mendalam pada teks yang disajikan.
