Abstract

This paper examines one of the main teachers' competence, ie pedagogical competence of teachers who have been certified educators in Sumedang district. This type of research is a survey research with descriptive-quantitative method. The population was 592 certified teachers in the district of North and South Sumedang, with a sample of 60 teachers. Data collected through questionnaire (Likert scale) on the respondent one (R1) is a certified teacher of 60 people, two respondents (R2) are colleagues who have not been certified 60 people, and three respondents (R3) is the principal of 60 people, so total respondents amounted to 180 people. Processing and data analysis was performed using SPSS 16 through frequency analysis and correlation. The results stated that the average pedagogical competence of teachers at the GOOD category, with the acquisition value of 3.02 (75.48%). However, when seen by the results of the correlation answer, where answer between R1 and R2 are many significant / agree, but the answers are not many significant R3 / contrary, it can be concluded that the average pedagogical abilities certified teacher educators in Sumedang district, is in the category ENOUGH based on answers from 150 respondents (84.3%), and is in the category GOOD based on answers from 28 respondents (15.7%). Abstract

The presence of social media in our  daily life  gives both its positive and negative impact  to communication manners. This impact also occurs in schools’ environment or even in campus. This paper aims to analyze students’ politeness in communicating through the social media. The study was conducted by providing a survey to 147 students (ages between 19-24 years). The results of the study prove that communication through social media give an  impact on students to be more eager to communicate with anyone. However, their communication politeness has decreased, as the survey shows that the ethics of communicating through social media are nor good or polite. Therefore, it can be concluded that the social media has influenced the  communication politeness between students and students and between students and  lecturers.

Abstract

Beginning in 2018 Indonesian people are treated to religious songs from Sabyan Gambus group whose vocalist Nissa Sabyan. The songs sung by Nissa Sabyan echoed almost in every layer of the society. One of the media that made it easy for people  to enjoy various songs from several Nissa Sabyan albums is YouTube. This paper was aimed to analyze the YouTube's role of students' religious dimension. The method used in this research is a survey with a qualitative approach. The survey was conducted on 147 students. The results of the study prove that YouTube as an Internet-based audio-visual media is an effective medium for spreading religious nuances. The majority of students feel to be religious by listening to Nissa Sabyan's songs, even though they don't understand the contents of the lyrics. Thus, it can be concluded that YouTube has a significant  role in fostering a religious sense of students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of policy on kasundaan character education based on Sumedang Regent regulation about Sumedang Puseur Budaya Sunda (SPBS). The method used was a survey to the elementary school students, which was completed with interviews and FGD. The results of the study found that: (1) SPBS was only instructed in the "SKPD" environment only in the form of Thursday using kasumedangan dress and Sundanese language, (2) no education design of kasundaan characters in elementary school, (3) the majority of elementary school students already have the expected behavior in the context of kasundaan values based on Regent's regulation on SPBS. However, a few other minorities, in fact, show the unexpected behavior that potentially leads the students to negative behavior. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of kasundaan character education in elementary school in Sumedang conducted only based school curriculum in spite of Regent’s regulation.

Abstract

Abstract: The background of this study is the lack of ability of the child in listening skills, some children may not be able to mimic back 3-4 order of words, some children may not be able to sort the contents of the picture and tells a simple, some children may not be able to retell the story in a simple , Therefore, efforts need to be able to improve listening skills of children is through storytelling with a big book. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase listening skills of children through storytelling with big method book and to know the high increase occurred. This research is a classroom action research conducted in two (2) cycles. Data collection tool used in this study is in the form of sheets of observation and research subject is a group consisting of 8 boys and 7 girls. The results showed an increase from cycle I to cycle II. Improvement occurred, ie from before the action to the first cycle of 34.58%, the first cycle to the second cycle of 35.43%, and increased from the prior cycle to cycle II of 82.27%. From these results obtained conclusions that through storytelling with big book can improve listening skills of children at Tk Ar-Raasyidin Parit Aman District of Bangko Rokan Hilir.Keywords: Listening, storytelling with a big book

Abstract

AbstractThis research is aimed to determine the similarities and differences in Tali Bui Jepin dance in Pontianak City and Bengkayang Regency. This qualitative comparative descriptive method with ethnocoreology approach was applied as the from of the research. The data in this study was obtained from the results of interviews with informants. Field observations, interviews and documentation were used as the data collecting technique. Extended observation techniques and triangulation techniques were used to test the validity of the data, as well as reduction, presentation and conclusion were used as the analysis technique during in the field observation. comparison of the binding pattern is shown in the binding method, tie pattern, motion, property.The differences are shown in the binding method that starts from the bottom of the foot and starts from the top of the neck, tie pattern, motio and property. The similarities are shown in the weaving pattern in the form of woven baskets, ropes as the property, and dancers as many as 7 people. The results of this study can be used as reference material for teachers or educators and as a reference for cultural arts and skills in learning process in schools, especially in dance subjects. Keywords: Comparison, Tie Pattern, Jepin Tali Bui Dance.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar sains peserta didik pada materi perubahan kenampakan bumi dan benda langit dengan menggunakan strategi true or false dan menggunakan pembelajaran secara konvensional serta pembelajaran mana yang lebih baik antara pembelajaran dengan strategi true or false atau pembelajaran konvensional. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain kelompok pretes-postes. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SDN Karangpawulang dan SDN Cilimbangan. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan oleh peneliti, ditunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan strategi true or false maupun pembelajaran secara konvensional dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar sains. Walaupun kedua pembelajaran menunjukkan peningkatan tetapi pembelajaran menggunakan strategi true or false lebih baik dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar sains. Hal ini terbukti dari hasil perhitungan uji perbedaan rata-rata data postes pada kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol dengan nilai 0,000 yang berarti terdapat perbedaan rata-rata hasil belajar sains peserta didik pada kedua kelompok.Kata kunci: strategi true or false, hasil belajar sains.

Abstract

This research is based on the researcher's interests in the woven learning process done to the students, because in general the learning of making webbing requires a level of rigor that is rarely owned by students of primary school age. This study aims to examine the learning process of wicker art And to know the factors that support the achievement through the learning process of webbing. The method used is qualitative research with descriptive analytic design. Data analysis techniques used are data analysis techniques based on Miles and Huberman models. This research was conducted at SDN Neglasari Sub District Ciater Subang. The result of the research is a study of the learning process of woven and the exposure of factors that support the achievement of achievement in SDN Neglasari. The supporting factor consists of two factors, Namely internal factors and external factors.

Abstract

The student interest of learning a traditional music instrument such as Saron and innovative media lacking in extracurricular learning traditional music instrument have an impact on the low skills of students. The purpose of this study is to improve the skills of students through the use of the VAM application as a medium for practicing and memorizing song notations in extracurricular of traditional music instrument. This study uses action research designs. The results in this study indicate students' skills in playing traditional musical instruments increased significantly after being given actions to apply VAM applications in extracurricular traditional music instrument. Students also like learning by using the VAM application in learning traditional music instrument. this is proven by a questionnaire or post-action survey, at the end of the study, according to them the VAM application is easy to play anytime and anywhere.

Abstract

Kemampuan pemahaman matematis yang dimiliki siswa yaitu mampu menerapkan konsep untuk menyelesaikan persoalan lain yang serupa. Untuk memperoleh kemampuan pemahaman matematis dan kepercayaan diri siswa, salah satunya melalui penerapan pendekatan RME. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan pemahaman matematis dan kepercayaan diri melalui penerapan pendekatan RME maupun pendekatan konvensional, perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematis dan kepercayaan diri, mengetahui respon siswa, serta mengetahui faktor pendukung dan penghambat pembelajaran RME. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode eksperimen desain pretes-postes. Populasi penelitian yaitu siswa SD kelas IV se-Kecamatan Sumedang Utara. Sampel penelitian kelas IV SDN Talun dan kelas IV SDN Rancamulya. Instrumen yang digunakan tes pemahaman matematis, skala sikap kepercayaan diri, lembar observasi, serta format wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan RME dan pendekatan konvensional dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman matematis dan kepercayaan diri siswa. Namun, pendekatan RME lebih baik daripada pendekatan konvensional dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman matematis dan kepercayaan diri siswa. Kata Kunci: Pendekatan RME, Kemampuan Pemahaman Matematis, Kepercayaan Diri.
