Abstract

AbstractThe research was classroom action research that aims to improve mathematics learning outcomes with applied the cooperative learning pair check structural approach. The subject of the research is students of class VIII-9 SMP Negeri 8 Pekanbaru in the first semester academic years 2013/2014. There are 32 students in the class, consist of 13 boys and 19 girls who have heterogeneous academic ability. The research are two cycles, each a cycle has four stages, that are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Each end of the cycle of daily tests carried out. Data collected through observation and tests in the form of daily tests. Data analysis was performed with analysis of descriptive narrative and descriptive statistical analysis. The action is successful if the number of students who achieve a score of minimum mastery criteria increase in daily tests I and II. The number of students who achieve a score of minimum mastery criteria on basic, daily test I (first cycle) and daily test II (second cycle) are respectively 40.63%, 68.75%, dan 87.5%. Minimum mastery criteria attainment percentage indicates that the cooperative learning cooperative learning pair check structural approach can improve students' mathematics learning outcomes math class VIII-9 SMP Negeri 8 Pekanbaru.Key words: Mathematics learning outcome, Cooperative learning, Pair Check, Class action research

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to develop a valid computer based learning media to help students to understand the topic of area and volume of revolution. This research uses development model by Sugiyono, the following stages are: (1) potential and problem; (2) collect information; (3) product design; (4) design validation; (5) design revision; (6) product testing; (7) product revision; (8) usage testing; and (9) product revision. At the stage of potential and problem, the researcher created a needs analysis of observation and interviews with Mathematics teacher. Then, researcher collected the informations by conducting literature studies. Product design is through two stages, that are making paper based design and then computer based that used microsoft power point program. The learning media is validated by three validators used validation sheet and obtained an average score of 3,76 (very valid). Then revised based on the input from validators. The revised learning media was tested by questionnaire technique using student response questionnaire. The testing was conducted through two stages towards the students of class XI MIPA 2 SMA N Binaan Khusus Dumai. The first stage is a product testing of 6 students. Further revision of the product according to the student's suggestion on product testing. The second stage is the usage testing of 25 students and obtained an average score of 3.58 (very practice). Then revised the product according to the student's suggestion on usage testing. Thus, can be concluded that computer based learning media is valid and qualified practicalities.Key Words: Computer Based Learning Media, Development, Area and Volume of Revolution

Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to develop mathematics learning device with problem based learning’s model of fraction number for 7th grade SMP/MTs. Learning device in this study are lesson plans and activity student sheet. Lesson plans and activity student sheet are developed to structured in accordance with the steps of the scientific approach that is observing, questioning, reasoning, trying, and communicating. This study method used is 4D model that consist of define, design, development, and disseminat. Because of time and cost, the study was only to development step. Based on the data analysis of mathematics learning devices is very valid with mean validity of lesson plans is 3,85, and mean validity of student activity sheet is 3,73. This student activity sheet has also reached the practical qualification with mean percentage of student responses is 100% on a small test group. Based on the results of this study can be concluded that the product of lesson plans and activity student sheet the mathematic based on the curriculum of 2013 on the fractional material to SMP/MTs with the use of the problem based learning’s model is very valid and practice.Keywords: Fraction Number, Mathematics Learning Device, Problem Based Learning, Research and Development.

Abstract

At the stage of potential and problem, researchermade a needs analysis of observation and interviews with Mathematics teacher andstudents. The learning media is validated by threevalidators used validation instrument and obtained an average score of 3,55 (veryvalid). Then the product revised based on the input from validators. The revision oflearning media was tested by questionnaire technique using student responsequestionnaire. The testing was conducted through two stages,which are small groupconsist of six students of grade VII and a large group consist of 28 students class ofVII.6 MTs Negeri 1 Pekanbaru. The product of computer-based interactive learningmedia is already practiced with an average of 96,03% (very practice)in a small testgroup and 97,62% (very practice) in the large group test. Then the product revisedaccording to the student's suggestion on questionnaire. Abstract

Abstract: This research is classroom action research that aims to improve learning process and to increase student mathematics achievement with applied the learning model of Problem Based Learning. The subject of this research was student of class X.1 Farmasi SMK Kesehatan Pro-Skill Indonesia Pekanbaru in second academic years 2017/2018, which are 30 students, consist of four boys and 26 girls. The research consist of two cycles, each cycle has four stages, which are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The instruments of data collection in this research is observation sheets and students mathematic tests. The observation sheets was analyzed by narrative descriptive analysis technique, and the students mathematic tests was analyzed by descriptive statistical analysis technique. The qualitative descriptive showed an improvement of learning process prior to the action on the first and second cycle. Most of students were very confidenced and actived in learning process. The results of this study indicate the number of students who reached Minimum Mastery Criteria increase from basic score to UH-I and UH-II. The results of this research showed an increasing number of students learning mathematics about knowledge of the basic score (26,67%) to the first UH-I (56,67%) to the UH-II (93,33%) thus it can be concluded that the implementation of Problem Based Learning model can improve learning process and increase mathematics achievement from the students at class X.I Farmasi SMK Kesehatan Pro-Skill Indonesia Pekanbaru in second academic years 2017/2018 for the linear program.Key Words: Students’ Mathematic Achievement, Problem Based Learning, Class Action Research

Abstract

ABSTRAKThis research was conducted in SMP 23 pekanbaru , in the first half of the school year 2012/2013 . Subjects were students of class VIII H totaling 40 people , comprising 20 boys and 20 girls who have the academic ability heterogeneous . The purpose of this research is to improve the students achievement., By implementing cooperative learning techniques TSTS . This research is a class act consisting of two cycles , each cycle consisting of four stages: planning , action , observation , and reflection . The data collected in this study is the activity data of teachers and learners during the learning and mathematics achievement data . Data activity of teachers and learners obtained from teacher observation sheets and sheets of observations of learners , while achievement data obtained from the test results of learners , the data were analyzed descriptively . The results of the data analysis and teacher activity suggests that the activity of teachers and learners increasingly according to the lesson plan , it is marked by the teacher to reflect on the learning process that has been done so that the improvement of the deficiencies that have been found . Analysis of students achievment increases , it can be seen from KKM achievement of learners achieved , in the first cycle of students who achieve KKM is 45 % and the silus II increased to 77.5 % of this data concluded that an increase due to the students achievement, KKM before action is only 27.5 % . Based on these results , the use of cooperative learning techniques TSTS can improve students achievement in class VIII H SMP N 23 Pekanbaru.Keywords: Cooperative Learning, Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS),students achievement

Abstract

Abstract: The background of this study is the restrict of mathematic learning instruments as supporting learning referring to Curriculum 2013. This study aimed to develop mathematics learning instruments with guided discovery model on circle’s topic for 8th grade SMP/MTs. Learning instruments which will be developed in this study are syllabus, lesson plans, and student worksheet. This study method used is ADDIE model by Dick and Carey that consist of analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. Test instruments that used in this study are validation instrument that is validation sheets to evaluate the advisability of syllabus, lesson plans and student worksheet and then practicality instrument that is questionnaire which will be filled up by students to evaluate practicality of student worksheet. Learning instruments that has been developed is being validated by three validators and being tested in a small test group consist of five on June 9th–10th, 2016 in SMPN 1 Pekanbaru for student worksheet. Based on the data analysis, it can be conclude that mathematics learning instruments is very valid with mean score of syllabus is 4,49, for lesson plans is 4,31, and for student worksheet is 4,22. This student worksheet also valued as very practical with mean percentage of student responses is 4,87 with 97%.Key Word: Mathematics Learning Instrument, Guided Discovery Model, Research andDevelopment, ADDIE Model

Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to improve the learning process and improve the student’s Mathematical Problem Solving Skill (MPSS) by applied Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. This study was Classroom Action Research with two cycles. This research conducted of class VIIIA2 MTs Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru on first semester of academic year 2018/2019 wich consists of 28 female students with heterogeneous academic. The instruments used in this research were learning instruments and the instruments of collecting data. The learning instruments used include syllabus, lesson plan, and student work sheets, while the instruments of collecting data were observation sheets and MPSS test. After analysis of implementing the PBL model on students and teacher activity, the implementation of PBL mades students who are initially lazy and don’t want to try solving the problem became more interested in learning because the problem presented were related to daily life. The MPSS test data of analyzed students’ activity shows an improvement. In first test, three students were in low qualification and 25 students were in very low qualification. In first cycle the number of students in both qualifications decreased to 1 and 2 students respectively. In second cycle there are no more students who were in low qualification and very low qualification. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that the implementation of PBL can improve learning process and student’s MPSS at class VIIIA2 MTs Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru.Key Words: problem based learning, mathematical problem solving skill, learning process

Abstract

Abstract: This research is based on mathematics learning achievement on Matrix topic of students XI IPS 1 MAN Insan Cendekia Siak which shows that 12 of 23 students still have scores which stand under Minimum Mastery Criteria (MMC) that has been settled by the school that is 76. This research aims to improve learning process and students’ mathematics learning achievement by applying Discovery Learning (DL) model. The type of this research is classroom action research with two cycles. The research instruments used are mathematical learning instruments and data collecting instruments. The mathematical learning instruments are syllabus, lesson plans, and students worksheet. The data collecting instruments are observation sheets and students mathematic tests. Analysis techniques that used are descriptive narrative on qualitative data and descriptive statistics on quantitative data. Subject of this research are students of XI IPS 1 MAN Insan Cendekia Siak in first semester of academic year 2018/2019, which consist of 9 males and 14 females with heterogeneous abilities. Based on the analysis of students and teacher activities after implementation of the DL model, it can be concluded that there is an improvement of learning process. On knowledge competence, in first cycle with percentage 87% and 96% in second cycle. On skill competence, the number of students who can reach MMC in first cycle with percentage 78,3% and 82,6% in second cycle. Based on the result, it can be concluded that the implementation of DL model can improve the learning process and the students’ mathematics learning outcomes at class XI IPS 1 MAN Insan Cendekia Siak .Key Words: Mathematics Learning Achievement, Discovery Learning Model,Classroom Action Research

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (R&D). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa perangkat pembelajaran berbasis Problem Based Learning yang memenuhi syarat valid dan praktis untuk memfasilitasi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas XII SMA pada materi jarak dalam ruang. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model 4D. Instrumen pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah lembar validasi dan angket respon siswa dan didukung oleh lembar observasi dan pedoman wawancara. Kevalidan produk dinilai oleh 3 orang validarot ahli. Kepraktisan produk diukur berdasarkan respon siswa SMA N 12 Pekanbaru. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran ini layak dan mudah digunakan untuk pembelajaran. Perangkat pembelajaran berupa silabus, RPP dan LAS ini dapat digunakan sebagai pedoman dan bahan ajar untuk pembelajaran jarak dalam ruang. Penelitian perlu dilanjutkan untuk menguji keefektivan perangkat pembelajaran ini terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa.
