Abstract

The research was conducted to determine the leadership of the Early Childhood Education head in instilling Islamic values-based character learning. The formation of character with Islamic values is learning given in early childhood to form a personality with good moral values following Islamic teachings. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The design of this study is a multi-site design at two schools in Pamekasan Regency, namely Al-Uswah IT Kindergarten and Al-Ghazali Kindergarten. The two Early Childhood Education schools both apply character learning with Islamic values. The technique used by researchers in collecting data was conducting in-depth interviews with Early Childhood Education heads in two schools, participatory field observations, and documentation studies to support the completeness of the research data. The results of this study indicate that Al-Uswah IT Kindergarten and Al-Ghazali Kindergarten both apply character learning with Islamic values, namely responsibility, curiosity, discipline, independence, and respect for achievement. (1) this responsibility is proven by taking toys and storing their play equipment in a place that has been prepared; (2) curiosity is shown by the teacher conveying a material either by telling a story or otherwise so that it stimulates children to ask questions about things they don't understand and answer questions from the teacher; (3) discipline, children are educated to be disciplined in carrying out habits in a class by lining up before entering class, reading prayers as a habit before learning; (4) independent, children are accustomed to carrying out their needs without the help of the teacher, for example in storing their shoes or bags in a place provided by the school; and (5) appreciating achievement, the teacher provides motivation and encouragement to children by applauding their courage and the confidence to tell stories in front of the class or appreciate other achievements

Abstract

Busy Book berbasis loose parts merupakan media pembelajaran yang dibuat dengan bahan dasar kain flanel yang dijahit membentuk sebuah buku berukuran 24 x 25 cm. adapun tujuan dari penelitian yakni 1) Menghasilkan sebuah produk yakni busy book berbasis media loose parts untuk melatih kemampuan problem solving anak usia dini. 2) Menguji validitas busy book berbasis media loose parts untuk melatih kemampuan problem solving anak usia dini. Rancangan penelitian ini dilakukan dengan konsep ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement). Uji coba dilakukan berdasarkan evaluasi ahli materi dan media, uji coba kelompok kecil, penilaian respon guru dan peserta didik, serta uji coba kelompok besar dengan menggunakan teknik analisis data secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Data uji coba dianalisis secara kuantitatif yang diinterpretasikan secara kualitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat validitas media busy book untuk melatih kemampuan problem solving anak usia 5-6 tahun berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli media memperoleh skor 76 % atau memperoleh kriteria valid, berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli materi memperoleh skor 78,66 % atau termasuk dalam kriteria valid, hasil penilaian respon guru memperoleh skor 92,5 % atau masuk dalam kriteria sangat praktis, penilaian respon peserta didik memperoleh skor 96,66 % yang dapat dikategorikan sangat praktis. Hasil uji coba kelompok kecil memperoleh skor 97,3 % atau masuk dalam kriteria sangat praktis dan hasil uji coba kelompok besar memperoleh skor 91,33 % atau masuk dalam kriteria sangat praktis. Sehingga, dapat disimpulkan bahwa busy book berbasis loose parts bisa digunakan untuk melatih kemampuan problem solving anak usia 5-6 tahun.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kepemimpinan dari Kepala Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini dalam menanamkan pembelajaran karakter yang berbasis nilai-nilai islami. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Rancangan dari penelitian ini yaitu rancangan multi situs pada dua sekolah yang berada di Kabupaten Pamekasan yaitu taman kanak kanak IT Al-Uswah dan taman kanak kanak Al-Ghazali. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa taman kanak kanak IT Al-Uswah dan taman kanak kanak Al-Ghazali sama-sama menerapkan pembelajaran karakter dengan nilai-nilai islami yaitu tanggungjawab, rasa ingin tahu, disiplin, mandiri, dan menghargai prestasi. Tanggungjawab dibuktikan dengan mengambil mainan dan menyimpan alat bermainnya sendiri pada tempat yang sudah disiapkan. Rasa ingin tahu diperlihatkan dengan guru menyampaikan materi dengan bercerita sehingga menstimulasi anak untuk bertanya atas hal yang tidak dipahami dan menjawab atas pertanyaan dari guru. Disiplin, dilakukan dalam kebiasaan di kelas dengan berbaris sebelum masuk kelas, membaca do’a sebelum belajar. Mandiri dengan dibiasakan untuk melaksanakan kebutuhannya tanpa bantuan guru. Menghargai prestasi, guru memotivasi anak.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and investigate the efforts to cultivate students' emotional intelligence by implementing a pesantren-based curriculum and learning at SMPU Al-Yasini Pasuruan. This research adopts a qualitative approach with a case study research design and utilizes data collection techniques, including interviews, observational studies, and examination of relevant documentation. The data analysis begins with data collection, condensation, presentation, and conclusion. The research participants in this study consist of the Head of SMPU Al-Yasini, the Deputy Head of Curriculum at SMPU Al-Yasini, Guidance and Counseling Teachers at SMPU Al-Yasini, and students of SMPU Al-Yasini. SMPU Al-Yasini was selected as the research site due to its status as one of the formal institutions implementing a pesantren-based curriculum and learning under the auspices of the Miftahul Ulum Al-Yasini Pasuruan Islamic Boarding School. The findings of this study indicate that SMPU Al-Yasini implements endeavors to develop students' emotional intelligence in terms of concepts, values, and indicators through the development of a hidden curriculum, which is manifested in the implementation of 1) student class mapping and diagnostic tests, 2) counseling facilities, 3) extracurricular learning, 4) co-curricular activities and school culture, and 5) extracurricular engagements.
