Abstract

Forces is a part of vector mechanics. Students’ ability in completing the physics’ questions related to force and motion in general is still low. This research aims to know the influence of student worksheet as a systematic approach to problem solving toward students’ achievement. This research is a Pra-Experimental Design with One-Group Pretest Posttest that engages one class from grade X at SMAN 1 Batusangkar. The research data includes knowledge competence taken by using pretest and posttest, and students’ outcomes when the teaching was running were taken by using student worksheet. The analyzing data is using N-gain test to see the increasing  of students’ outcomes in the teaching learning process, and using the relationship of pretest variable (X) and posttest variable (Y) test to see how big its influence toward students outcomes. From the data analysis can be concluded the two outcomes of the research data. The first one is the comparison between the students’ pretest subjection mean with the student worksheetsubjection mean and the posttest subjection mean which have the increasing and decreasing in the teaching learning process. The comparison of the highest subjection mean from the outcome of N-Gain test is the comparison between the subjection of pretest and the subjection of posttest which is 0,58. The second one is the outcome of the relationship between pretest score (X) and posttest score (Y) is 20,43%. It shows that the use of student worksheet in systematic approach to problem solving gives influence toward students’ outcome as big as 20,43%.

Abstract

Learning outcomes optimal not yet, this is caused by lack of interest and active student in learning process, so the teacher should cermat choose the media and learning model to support the learning process. To increase interest and activity students, the teacher can apply poster media in Project Based Learning. The type this research is Quasi Exsperiment research with Randomized Control Group Only Design. The population in this research all of the students of SMAN 5 Padang in the first semester of academic year 2014/2015. Sample is determined by purposive sampling technique. The data of the research are the students learning outcomes in the domains of cognitive, affective, and phychomotor. The result of this research show that the mean of students learning outcomes of the experimental class is higher than the control class in  three domains. Based on the data analysis result, it is gotten that three is significance different learning outcomes between experiment and control class at 005 sognificance level, so can conclude using poster in Project Based Learning influence students of SMAN 5 Padang learning outcomes

Abstract

Pendidikan memainkan peran penting dalam meningkatkan dan memaksimalkan semua potensi yang dimiliki oleh siswa. Berbagai upaya telah dilakukan oleh pemerintah untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan, di mana salah satunya adalah perubahan kurikulum 2013 yang direvisi menjadi kurikulum 2017. Selain itu, revisi 2013 menjadi kurikulum 2017 berisi beberapa hal penting, salah satunya adalah peningkatan literasi siswa dalam belajar. Berdasarkan pengamatan yang dilakukan, keadaan sekolah menunjukkan bahwa penerapan literasi sains dalam pembelajaran fisika belum pada keadaan optimal, literasi yang digunakan hanyalah literasi fungsional. Salah satu solusi yang dapat digunakan untuk mengatasi masalah ini adalah mengembangkan modul fisika dengan literasi ilmiah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui validitas modul fisika yang mengandung literasi ilmiah. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian dan Pengembangan (R&D). Selanjutnya, prosedur penelitian ini terdiri dari masalah potensial, pengumpulan data, desain produk, validasi desain, revisi desain, uji coba produk, revisi produk, uji coba aplikasi produk ,, dan produk massal. Penelitian ini terbatas pada tahap validasi desain dan revisi desain. Objek penelitian adalah modul fisika dengan literasi ilmiah dalam materi Gerak Lurus dan Parabola Kelas X SMA / MA. Oleh karena itu, instrumen untuk validasi modul fisika adalah lembar angket. Validator bahan ajar fisika yang mengandung literasi ilmiah adalah 3 dosen fisika FMIPA UNP. Berdasarkan analisis data dari penelitian, Modul fisika yang mengandung literasi ilmiah dalam materi gerak sangat valid dengan nilai validitas rata-rata 86,02. Dengan demikian, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul fisika sarat dengan literasi saintifik pada materi gerak lurus dan gerak parabola di kelas X SMA / MA yang telah dibuat ini cocok untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran fisika karena memenuhi kelayakan dasar pada hasil validasi para ahli.

Abstract

Differences in Learning Outcomes Learners Using Scientific Approach-Oriented Modules in Physics Model Class XI in SMA Negeri 1 Bukittinggi. This research is based on the unfinished achievement of Physics competence of students in SMA caused by various factors such as the existence of teaching materials applied by educators. Teaching materials is one way that is considered effective to remind students of Physics learning outcomes. Module is one form of teaching materials. This study aims to determine the difference in the use of scientifically oriented approach module in the problem-based learning model of learning toward the achievement of physics competence of students of class XI SMAN 1 Bukittinggi. The type of research conducted is a quasi experiment with Randomized Control Group Design Only design. The study population is all students of class XI IPA SMAN 1 Bukittinggi registered in Lesson Year 2016/2017. Sampling is done by Purposive Sampling technique. Research data include competence from three aspects, namely attitude aspect obtained through observation sheet, knowledge aspect obtained through result of learning test, and skill aspect obtained through performance sheet. Physical material involved in this study deals with mechanical waves. To know the difference of using module is done with t test statistic, continued with simple linear regression analysis and product moment correlation test to research variables. Based on data analysis, the students' physics competence in attitude, knowledge, and skill in the experimental class were 81,2, 79, and 80,81 higher than the control classes 77,13, 75 and 78,33. The result of t test is that there is a significant difference between the achievement of Physics competence of learners using the Scientific Approach Oriented Module with the not. From the result of data analysis with significance level 0,05, the effect of Science-oriented Approach Module on knowledge, and skill are 60,84% and 23,04%.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the feasibility or properness of student worksheet based on virtual laboratory through ICT in studying quantity and vector among student in tenth grade of senior high school. In order to reach this goal, the R&D research is held which consist of: potential problem, data collection, product design, design validation, and product testing  or product trial. Data are analyzed by using technique of statistical graph. The object in this research is virtual laboratory based-student worksheet through ICT. The result of data analysis show that : the average validity test is 90 in valid category,  the average practicality test of teacher is 86 in practical category, and the average practicality test of student is 83 in practical category. With those results, the virtual laboratory based-student worksheet through ICT valued as proper to be used during the learning process of quantity and vector for the tenth grade student in senior high school.

Abstract

Currently theeprogressoof material nanocomposite can be applied for some of electronic device, bio medic, and electronic engineering. This is because nanocomposite has multifunction of magnetic properties. Most of device use nanoparticles was made from ferrite material, such as MnFe2O4 with high electrical performance, high magnetic permeability. And as matrix used PANi with good thermal stability and high conductivity. With this advantages, synthesis both material can be applied for electronic device like magnetic sensor. Synthesis MnFe2O4/PANi nanocomposite material with 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, and 70% composition variation of MnFe2O4 with Sol-Gel method has been success. MnFe2O4/PANi nanocomposite was prepared by make of Fe2O3 precursor, make MnFe2O4 and PANi solution with sol-gel method, make MnFe2O4/PANi nanocomposite with spin coating, heating, and sintering the nanocomposite. This nanocomposite characterized with XRD, FTIR, and VSM. Magnetic properties nanocomposite were measured withaa Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM). Result of VSM shows value of coercivity (Hc), remanence magnetization (Mr) and saturation magnetization (Ms). Highest value offcoercivity shows in 60% composition variation with score 389,99Oe, from the value of coercivity, we can classified this nanocomposite as a hard magnet. And for the value of saturation magnetization is 1,07 memu and remanence magnetization is 0,35 memu. The applied field of nanocomposite shows in loop hysteresis with range -10000≤ H ≤10000, it show the ferromagnetic behavior. Ferromagnetic is one of material properties which needed for magnetic sensor. So can be concluded that MnFe2O4/PANi nanocomposite can be applied for magnetic sensor.

Abstract

In the integrated optical system (Integrated Optics), the raised-strip waveguide is part of the photonic divices used as a medium of light propagation. Physical parameters of raised-strip waveguide mode waveguides affects that can be passed on the waveguides. Given the relative complexity of the calculations - calculations in determining the number of waveguide modes, in this research, and numerical analysis made in an application program in order to facilitate the determination of the waveguide mode. Research conducted including descriptive research using a numerical approach. Used numerical approach is the bisection method is an ideal method to find a result with the use of iterative or repetitive calculations. Furthermore, with this method using Matlab software program designed 2007.  Were run on the Windows XP operating system  based on research conducted in the form of GUI matlab program that displays the dispersion curves. Generated that variations in physical parameters such as refractive index, thickness and wavelength lebal films and give effect to the number of raised-mode strip waveguides of photonic divices. Where the greater the difference in the refractive index is given, the more the mode waveguides can be missed.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the archipelago countries rich in the abundant natural resources potential one of them is iron sand. Iron sand can be found in Mount Marapi located in West Sumatera Indonesia.Gunung is classified as the active volcano in Sumatra located in the district Agam. The existence of iron sand is only in the exploitation in the raw state (raw material) so it has a high selling value that is by knowing its characteristics. The characteristics of iron sand based on Crystal structure, the size of crystals and know the magnetite elements of iron sand that exist in the region Agam regency. This research is a type of experimental research conducted in the Materials Laboratory of Physics Department. In this study variations were performed on milling time. X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) is used to identify the phase, structure and size of crystals. X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) is used to obtain data of magnetite content in iron basest before and after milling. In this study obtained XRD test data that due to increased time milling phase changes from hematite to magnetite. The increasing variation in milling time causes the change of magnetite structure from cubic structure to cubic structure. Increased milling time, magnetite crystal size increases up to a certain milling time and then decreases. As in the magnetite crystals before dimilling, 1.08 nm, after dimilling with 25 hours, 30 hours, 35 hours and 40 hours variations were obtained at 1.14 nm, 1.20 nm, 1.23 nm and 1.61 nm respectively. Furthermore, there was a decrease in the variation of mill-ing time of 45 hours obtained by 1.29 nm

Abstract

The bedrock can interpreted using the Geolectrical method. The aim of this research was  determine the resistivity and structure of bedrock in Malalak District Agam area. This research used Dipole-dipole configuration and Schlumbergerconfiguration. Both of that configuration have complementary advantages and disadvantages to each other. The data were processed and interpreted with using Smoothness-Constraint Least Square inversion. The result of this research showed that type structure of bdrock in malalak Disctrict Agam area with Dipole-dipole configuration and Schlumberger configuration. The type structure of bedrock on this research is Clay, Sandstone, Limestone, Andesite andGranitee.

Abstract

Investigation of landslide slip surface using geoelectrical resistivity method has been conducted at Jorong Koto Baru Nagari Aie Dingin Kabupaten Solok. The aim of this research is to know the shape of slip surface, depth of slip surface, and angle of slip surface. Data were collected by Automatic Resistivity Multielectrode in 4 lines with Schlumberger configuration. Interpretation of data was done with Robust Constraint Inversion. The result of this research shows that slip surface is Translation slip. The estimation result showed that the subsurface lithology on four path consist of Alluvium and Sands, Sandstone, Clay, Limestone and Granite. The slip surface is a clay layer on four path with resistivity value range from 66.1-90.25 Ωm, 70.45–90.8 Ωm and 67.05-100 Ωm. Depth of slip surface for one and three section was found are of 7.05 meter, and for two section was found are of 4.14 meters. Angles of slip surface are 21.74°, 19.94°, 21.85°, 17.46° and 17.13°
