Abstract

This research investigates the impact of blockchain technology on the transparency of Zakat management in Indonesia through a quantitative analysis. The study encompasses a diverse sample of 350 participants from various Zakat institutions, analyzing demographic and organizational characteristics. Findings reveal a positive trend in blockchain adoption, with larger organizations and those in urban areas more likely to integrate the technology. Participants generally perceive Zakat management processes as clear and accountable, although improvements in accessibility are identified. Regression analysis demonstrates a statistically significant positive relationship between blockchain adoption and transparency. Challenges include technical barriers and high implementation costs, while opportunities include increased donor trust and operational efficiency gains. Policy implications suggest regulatory frameworks to support institutions, and organizational strategies recommend phased implementation and capacity-building initiatives. The study contributes insights for policymakers, Zakat institutions, and researchers navigating the intersection of traditional charitable practices and innovative technologies.

Abstract

This research investigates the role of Information Technology (IT) in optimizing Zakat management in Indonesia, the world's largest Muslim-majority country. Employing a mixed-methods approach, qualitative insights from in-depth interviews and quantitative data from surveys were integrated to provide a comprehensive understanding of the current state of IT integration, challenges faced, perceived benefits, and its impact on Zakat distribution processes. The findings reveal a spectrum of IT adoption among Zakat organizations, with cybersecurity concerns, resistance to change, and resource constraints identified as persistent challenges. Perceived benefits include enhanced transparency, streamlined distribution processes, and improved communication with beneficiaries. Statistical analysis supports a positive correlation between IT integration levels and perceived improvements in distribution fairness and effectiveness. The implications and recommendations drawn from these integrated insights guide stakeholders in optimizing Zakat administration through effective and secure IT adoption, aligning with principles of transparency, efficiency, and equitable distribution.

Abstract

Within the framework of an Islamic boarding school in Indonesia, this study explores how religion shapes teenagers' perspectives on world violence and peace. 300 individuals were surveyed using a quantitative research design to examine their attitudes toward peace, views of international conflict, and religious beliefs. The findings show that the participants have a strong commitment to Islamic teachings, a sophisticated grasp of international problems, and largely favourable sentiments toward peace initiatives. There is a strong positive correlation between religious beliefs and pro-peace attitudes, according to correlation and regression analyses. These findings have ramifications for educational policies and interfaith activities, as well as providing empirical insights into the conversation on the influence of religion on the viewpoints of adolescents.

Abstract

This research investigates the role of Islamic education in shaping the national character among students in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) schools in Indonesia. Employing a quantitative approach, the study surveyed a diverse sample of students across different regions, focusing on the perceived impact of Islamic education on moral values and character development. Results indicate a highly positive perception among participants, with the majority acknowledging the significant influence of Islamic teachings on character traits aligned with the Pancasila principles. The study also reveals regional variations, suggesting that the impact of Islamic education on national character may be nuanced by geographic context. The findings contribute to the ongoing discourse on character formation within the unique educational setting of MAN schools, providing valuable insights for educational policymakers and practitioners.

Abstract

This study explores Indonesia's complex legal system, which coexists with positive and Islamic law. The study examines how various legal systems apply justice and how people perceive it, using a quantitative research design. When survey data is combined with document analysis, subtle patterns and differences are revealed. The findings show that although positive law places more emphasis on procedural issues and the defense of individual rights, Islamic law views justice as being strongly related to moral and ethical principles. Different views of justice are influenced by differences in demographics. The discussion of these findings' implications within the framework of legal pluralism provides valuable perspectives for researchers, policymakers, and legal practitioners attempting to navigate the intricate legal landscape of Indonesia.
