Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa dengan pembelajaran snowball throwing dengan talking stick antara kelompok self efficacy tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Selain itu, peneliti juga menganalisis interaksi antara model pembelajaran terhadap kemampuan pemecahan. Penelitian ini dapat mengembangkan keterampilan siswa pada pemecahan masalah. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII A dan VII B SMP, dengan metode pengumpulan  data  ialah  angket, tes pemecahan masalah, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis data awal dengan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji keseimbangan. Uji hipotesis yang digunakan adalah ANAVA dua jalan sel tak sama. Berdasarkan tahapan penelitian di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa (1) tidak ada perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa antara pembelajaran talking stick dengan snowball throwing, (2) ada perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah antara kelompok self efficacy tinggi, sedang, dan rendah, (3) ada interaksi antara model pembelajaran dengan self efficacy siswa terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir kritis ditinjau dari gaya belajar matematika siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XII SMA Negeri Punung, Kabupaten Pacitan. Subjek penelitian sebanyak enam siswa dengan masing-masing dua siswa untuk gaya belajar visual, auditorial, dan kinestetik. Data penelitian diambil melalui angket gaya belajar, tes kemampuan berpikir kritis, dan wawancara. Data angket dianalisis untuk menentukan jenis gaya belajar siswa, sedangkan data hasil tes dianalisis berdasarkan aspek kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis yaitu FRISCO – Focus, Reason, Inference, Situation, Clarify, and Overview. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada masing-masing gaya belajar memiliki tingkatan yang berbeda. Siswa dengan gaya belajar visual memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis pada kriteria sangat baik, siswa dengan gaya belajar auditorial memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis pada kriteria cukup, sedangkan siswa dengan gaya belajar kinestetik memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis pada kriteria baik.  Namun demikian ketiganya mempunyai potensi kuat untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dalam matematika melalui stimulasi dari guru. Analysis of critical thinking skills in terms of students' mathematics learning stylesAbstractThis study aimed to describe critical thinking skills in terms of students’ mathematics learning styles. It was a qualitative descriptive study. The study subjects were twelfth-grade students of SMA Negeri Punung (Public Senior High School), Pacitan Regency, Indonesia. The subjects were six students, with two students each for visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles. The data were taken through learning style questionnaires, critical thinking skills tests, and interviews. The questionnaire data were analyzed to determine the type of student learning style, while the test result data were analyzed based on aspects of mathematical critical thinking skills, namely FRISCO – Focus, Reason, Inference, Situation, Clarify, and Overview. The results showed that students’ critical thinking skills in each learning style had different levels. Students with visual learning styles have the critical thinking skills on very good criteria, students with auditory learning styles have the critical thinking skills on moderate criteria, while students with kinesthetic learning styles have the critical thinking skills on good criteria. However, all three have strong potential to develop critical thinking skills in mathematics through stimulation from the teacher.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan e-modul matematika yang mengintegrasi motif Batik Adi Purwo untuk siswa SMP dan mengetahui kelayakannya. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian pengembangan dengan model ADDIE. Uji coba penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada siswa SMP kelas IX. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi lembar panduan wawancara, lembar validasi, lembar angket respon, dan soal tes. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis valid, praktis, dan efektif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa e-modul matematika yang mengintegrasi motif Batik Adi Purwo berdasarkan penilaian ahli mendapatkan skor rata-rata total penilaian sebesar 3,8 memenuhi kriteria valid. Berdasarkan respon siswa dan guru diperoleh skor rata-rata 3,5 dengan persentase sebesar 87% dalam kategori sangat positif, sehingga e-modul dikatakan praktis. Sedangkan berdasarkan ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa, diperoleh persentase ketuntasan sebesar 83% sehingga e-modul dikatakan efektif. Berdasarkan hal tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa e-modul matematika yang mengintegrasi motif Batik Adi Purwo untuk siswa SMP layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran matematika.

Abstract

Learning media is a tools that made in a structured way to convey information and interact with the audience. Mind mapping media is a creative way of thoughts on each subject to record what is learned. The development of learning media are developed in a modern way. The media that will be develop is mind mapping based electronic learning media. The research aims to: (1) determine the development procedure. (2) Knowing the feasibility of mind mapping learning media. Mind mapping media uses the ADDIE research method. The steps for the ADDIE method are as follows: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The results of the research are (1) to produce mind mapping based electronic learning media products. (2) The results of the feasibility by media experts get an average score of 3.8 and were declared very practical and material experts with 3.1 of total average score, were declared practical. (3) The practicality of mind mapping based on electronic learning media is taken from student responses with small, medium and operational scale trials with an average score of each subject 3.6, 3.71, and 3.75 which means it’s very practical.

Abstract

Learning media is an important tool in learning proces, especially learning media that are made based on student needs and characteristics. One of learning media that is effectively applied at the primary school level is a module. This study aims to produce and determine the feasibility of mathematics learning media in the form of HOTS integrated realistic-based modules on volume building materials (cubes and blocks) as learning media for fifth grade elementary school students. The subjects of study were six students of grade V SD Negeri Sindurjan. The research method was used R&D (Research and Development) using ADDIE model. The ADDIE model consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation. Based on the results of research (1), a HOTS integrated realistic mathematics module development product is produced. (2) The validation results obtained from the evaluation of media experts by 3.20 and material experts by 3.65. From the two results, it was developed to be 3.40 or > 3.25, the very valid category. (3) The practicality questionnaire was obtained from the student response assessment of 3.40 or > 3.25 with the very practical category. Thus the HOTS integrated realistic-based mathematics module is suitable for use as a learning medium for fifth grade elementary school students.

Abstract

Dalam menghadapi perkembangan zaman yang sangat pesat, kompetensi mahasiswa harus lebih disiapkan agar mampu memenuhi tuntutan zaman. Perguruan Tinggi sebagai tingkatan tertinggi dalam dunia pendidikan, harus mampu menyiapkan generasi-generasi penerus bangsa untuk mampu menghadapi masa depan yang berubah cepat. Pemerintah membantu pencapaian Perguruan Tinggi melalui Program Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) dengan harapan mampu meningkatkan hard skills dan soft skills mahasiswa. Penelitian ini diadakan untuk mengetahui dampak penerapan program MBKM terhadap peningkatan hard skills mahasiswa. Untuk memperoleh data, dilakukan survei menggunakan kuesioner online terhadap 83 mahasiswa yang dipilih dengan teknik simple random sampling. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program MBKM dapat meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menggunakan teknologi, kemampuan menulis dan riset, kemampuan dalam menggunakan bahasa asing, kemampuan dalam mengajar, kemampuan dalam mengoperasikan berbagai perangkat elektronik, dan kemampuan dalam menggunakan berbagai software

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan media PANDIKAR (Papan Koordinat Kartesius) berkode braille yang merupakan salah satu alternatif media pembelajaran matematika untuk siswa tunanetra pada materi sistem koordinat kartesius. Keterbatasan indera penglihatan yang dimiliki oleh siswa tunanetra membuat mereka mengalami kesulitan untuk memahami materi sistem koordinat kartesius dikarenakan sebagian besar materi tersebut mengandung informasi visual. Penggunaan media ini akan mempermudah siswa untuk belajar dikarenakan media ini memiliki komponen-komponen yang dibutuhkan oleh siswa tunanetra. Tahapan Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation (ADDIE) digunakan sebagai model pengembangan oleh peneliti dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode wawancara, angket, tes hasil belajar, catatan lapangan, dan dokumentasi untuk mengumpulkan data. Lembar validasi, lembar kepraktisan, lembar respon siswa, pedoman wawancara, dan soal tes merupakan instrumen yang digunakan peneliti. Media dikatakan layak jika sesuai dengan kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif. Analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis statistik inferensial digunakan oleh peneliti sebagai teknik untuk menganalisis data. Setelah analsis data, penilaian validasi produk dikategorikan sangat valid dengan skor 4,85, penilaian kepraktisan sangat baik dengan skor 4,375, dan penilaian keefektifan yang berasal dari (a) respon siswa sangat positif dengan persentase 90,625%, dan (b) hasil tes evaluasi belajar siwa berhasil melebihi Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media Papan Koordinat Kartesius berkode braille layak digunakan serta dapat mengatasi kesulitan belajar matematika pada siswa tunanetra.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the feasibility and produce an ethnomathematics e-module by integrating cultural products in Central Java for Junior High School students. The method used in this research is a research and development method by using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The study conducts in seventh grade Junior High School in the 2019/2020 academic year. Tests and non-tests showed data collection techniques in this study in the form of a questionnaire response. The analysis technique uses the e-module feasibility analysis that meets the valid, practical, and useful criteria. The results showed that the ethnomathematics-based e-module assessment of Central Java cultural products validated by media experts, material experts, and cultural experts. In this study, ethnomathematics-based e-modules meet valid criteria with an average of 3,7. The mean score of material experts by the teacher was 3,5; material by the lecturer was 3,4; media was 3,9, and culture was 3,9. Meeting the practicality criteria was obtained from the results of the average assessment of student response questionnaires was 3,127 or 78,17% with positive response criteria, and teacher questionnaire response was 3,7 or 92,5% with very positive response criteria. Meeting the effectiveness criteria was shown based on 23 student achievement tests, 87% of students were declared complete. The ethnomathematics-based e-module of Central Java cultural products is suitable for use by Junior High School students.

Abstract

Critical thinking ability is essential for the future of students, bearing in mind that it used to prepare students for the many challenges that will arise in their lives, careers, and at the level of their obligations and responsibilities. Critical thinking ability is crucial for students to master so that students are more skilled in preparing an argument, checking the credibility of a source, or making a decision. Critical thinking ability is an essential component that students must-have, especially in the process of learning mathematics. That student can create or formulate, identify, interpret, and plan problem-solving. Critical thinking is a high-level ability to think in terms of analyzing, managing strategies, evaluating, building a logical and clear argument, and drawing conclusions in solving a problem. This research is qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. The purpose of this study is to describe the students' critical thinking skills in solving mathematical problems in the material of the Two-Variable Linear Equation System (SPLDV). The subjects of this study were students of class VIII (eight) who had high mathematical abilities at one of the public Junior High Schools in Purworejo. Based on the results of research and discussion, students' critical thinking ability in solving mathematics problems of junior high school students who have top mathematical skills have been able to achieve all the indicators of critical thinking.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the algebraic thinking process of students in solving open-ended mathematical problems. The research method used was literature review through books, journals, and similar previous research. The results of the study of various literature are that there are three processes in thinking algebra when students are faced with open-ended based problems including understanding patterns, representing, and solving. In the first stage is,  understanding patterns students understand the patterns shown by writing important statements in the problem or stating the patterns in the form of images. At the stage of representing students doing symbolic manipulation of patterns in the form of equations containing coefficients, variables, and constants. At the stage of completing students use the right strategy so that a variety of alternative answers correct. Open-ended can be seen when students go through the stages of understanding patterns and completing.
