Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the effectiveness of improving the cooperative ability and becoming a good listener with using hypnoteaching in solubility and solubility product.The research was done in class XI IPA2 State Senior High School 13 Bandar Lampung. This study used a pre-experimental method with One Shoot Case Study Design. The effectiveness of hypnoteaching is measured by the percentage of average research finding in each meeting.  After observation in five meetings, the average percentage of cooperative ability has improved significantly with percentage 44.85%, 50.00%, 61.25%, 63.53%, and 65.00%. Then, becoming a good listener with percentage 66.67%, 70.56%, 73.13%, 74.71%, and 81.11% has improved significantly too. Therefore, it can be concluded that learning with hypnoteaching is significant to improve cooperative ability and becoming a good listener.Keywords: learning of hypnoteaching, cooperative ability, becoming a good listener.

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe effectiveness of discovery learning to improve science process skills on the electrolyte and nonelectrolyte topic viewed from academic ability. Method of this research is quasi experimental with factorial 2 x 2 design. The sample of this research are X IPA 3 as the experiment class and X IPA 1 as the control class that obtained by purposive sampling technique. Data analysis techniques used two ways ANOVA and descriptive analysis. The result of this research showed that: there was no interaction between discovery learning and academic ability towards students’ science process skill; discovery learning was effective to improve students’ science process skill on the electrolyte and nonelectrolyte topic; the percentage of high academic ability students with high n-gain category is greater than medium and low academic ability students on discovery learning.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model discovery learning dalam meningkatkan KPS siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit ditinjau dari kemampuan akademik siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi experiment dengan desain faktorial 2 x 2. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas X IPA3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X IPA 1 sebagai kelas kontrol yang diperoleh melalui teknik purposive sampling. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan uji two ways ANOVA dan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: tidak terdapat interaksi antara penggunaan model discovery learning dengan kemampuan akademik terhadap KPS siswa; model discovery learning efektif untuk meningkatkan KPS siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit; pada penggunaan model discovery learning, persentase siswa kemampuan akademik tinggi dengan kategori n-gain tinggi lebih besar daripada siswa akademik sedang dan rendah.Kata kunci:  discovery learning, larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit, KPS, kemampuan akademik

Abstract

The aim of this research was to describe the effectiveness of predict-observe-explain (POE) learning cycle model in thermochemicalof communication skill and mastery of the material concept.  Students who became the subject of this research was1 Science class grade XI SMA  Gajah Mada Bandar Lampung Academic Year 2012/2013.  This research used the pre-experimental method and one group pretest-posttest design.  The effectiveness of POE learning model was determined based on the average of n-Gain(normalize gain).The results of this research showed that the average value of n-Gain of communication skill was 0.4 and mastery of the material concept was 0.7.  Thus, it can be concluded that the POE learning cycle model in thermochemical concept effective to enhance of communication skill and mastery of the material concept in medium category.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model siklus pembelajaran Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) pada materi pokok terkomia dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berkomunikasi dan penguasaan konsep siswa. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa siswi kelas XI IPA 1 SMA Gajah Mada Bandar Lampung Tahun Pelajaran 2012-2013. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian Pre-Experimental, dan menggunakan one-group pretest-posttest design. Efektivitas model siklus pembelajaran POE diukur berdasarkan nilai n-gain (gain ternormalisasi). Dimana rerata n-Gain untuk keterampilan berkomunikasi siswa 0,4 dan penguasaan konsep 0,7. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa model siklus pembelajaran  POE efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berkomunikasi dan penguasaan konsep siswa pada materi termokimia.Kata kunci: keterampilan berkomunikasi, model siklus belajar poe, penguasaan konsep.

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the interaction between learning that used students worksheets and gender on improving students science process skills (SPS). The method of the research was quasi experimental with 2x2 factorial design. The population of the research was students of grade X at SMAN 6 Metro on academic year 2016-2017, with class X.6 and X.7 as sample that obtained by purposive sampling technique. The results of the research showed that there was no interaction between learning that used students worksheets and gender to students SPS. Male and female students SPS using SPS based students worksheets were higher than conventional students worksheets. In the use of SPS based students worksheets, male students SPS were not significantly different with female students.Penelitian ini bertujuan men-deskripsikan interaksi antara pembelajaran menggunakan LKS dan gender pada peningkatan keterampilan proses sains (KPS) siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain faktorial 2x2. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas X di SMAN 6 Metro tahun pelajaran 2016-2017, dengan kelas X.6 dan X.7 sebagai sampel yang diperoleh melalui teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat interaksi antara pembelajaran menggunakan LKS dan gender terhadap KPS siswa. KPS siswa laki-laki dan perempuan pada penggunaan LKS berbasis KPS lebih tinggi daripada LKS konvensional. Abstract

This research was to describe the effectiveness of problem solving learning model to enhance formulating hypotheses and inferring skills in colloidal concept. Students who became the subject of this research was XI grade of Science 4 YP Unila Senior High School in Bandar Lampung Academic Year 2011/2012. This research used the pre-experimental method and one group pretest-posttest design. The effectiveness of problem solving learning model was determined based on the average value of n-Gain. The results of this research showed that the average value of n-Gain of formulating hypotheses and inferring skills were 0.54 and 0.67. If they were interpreted, both of them were included in medium category. Thus, it can be concluded that the problem solving learning model effective to enhance formulating hypotheses and inferring skills in colloidal concept in medium category.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan keterampilan merumuskan hipotesis dan menarik kesimpulan pada materi koloid. Yang menjadi subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IPA 4 SMA YP Unila Bandar Lampung tahun ajaran 2011/2012. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode preksperimen dengan desain One Group Pretest-Posttest. Efektivitas model pembelajaran problem solvingditentukan berdasarkan rerata n-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rerata n-Gain kemampuan merumuskan hipotesis dan menarik kesimpulan adalah sebesar 0,54 dan 0,67. Keduanya berada dalam kategori medium. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran problem solving efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan merumuskan hipotesis dan menarik kesimpulan.Kata kunci: keterampilan merumuskan hipotesis, keterampilan menarik kesimpulan, problem solving

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the effectiveness of discovery learning model to increase student’s flexibility thinking skills on chemical equilibrium subject matter. The population of this research was students in grade XI science class of MAN 1 Metro whose sit in odd semester of academic year 2013-2014. The samples were taken by purposive sampling technique and these were XI2 and XI3 of science class. The method of the research was quasi experimental with Non Equivalent Control Group Design. The effectiveness of discovery learning model was showed by the significant difference of n-gain between control and experiment class.  The result showed that the average n-gain of student’s flexibility thinking skills of control class was 0,21 and 0,33 for experiment class. Proving the hypothesis showed that discovery learning model was effective to increase student’s flexibility thinking skills on chemical equilibrium subject matter.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model discovery learning dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir luwes siswa pada materi kesetimbangan kimia.  Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA MA Negeri 1 Metro semester ganjil Tahun Pelajaran 2013-2014.  Sampel diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling sehingga diperoleh kelas XI IPA2 dan XI IPA3.  Metode penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan Non Equivalent Control Group Design.  Efektivitas model discovery learningditunjukkan berdasarkan perbedaan n-gain yang signifikan antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata n-gain keterampilan berpikir luwes pada kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,21 dan 0,33.  Pengujian hipotesis, diketahui bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan model discovery learning efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir luwes pada materi kesetimbangan kimia.Kata kunci: kesetimbangan kimia, keterampilan berpikir luwes, model discovery learning

Abstract

This research and development study based the need of assessment to evaluate the teaching in the schools in order to measure the science process skills. This research aimed to develop assessment instrument based on science process skills on the basic laws of chemistry topic and to describe responses teachers and characteristics of the developed assessment instrument. This Research and Development (RD) method by Borg and Gall was used in this research. Characteristics of developed assessment instrument was type of written test consists of 10 multiple choice questions and 10 descriptive questions that measure cognitive description of KPS. This research results based on the responses of teacher, assessment instrument developed have the legibility level at 80,08%, construction level at 88,67% and suitability of topic content level at 87,08%.Penelitian dan pengembangan ini didasarkan pada kebutuhan asesmen dalam melakukan evaluasi pembelajaran di sekolah, agar dapat mengukur keterampilan proses sains. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen asesmen berbasis keterampilan proses sains pada materi hukum-hukum dasar kimia dan mendeskripsikan hasil tanggapan guru serta karakteristik terhadap instrumen asesmen yang dikembangkan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (RD) menurut Borg dan Gall. Instrumen asesmen yang dikembangkan memiliki karakteristik jenis tes tertulis yang terdiri dari 10 soal pilihan jamak dan 10 soal uraian yang mengukur ranah kognitif KPS. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan tanggapan dari guru, instrumen asesmen yang dikembangkan memiliki kriteria sangat tinggi dengan tingkat keterbacaan 80,08%, tingkat konstruksi 88,67% dan tingkat kesesuain isi materi 87,08%.Kata kunci: asesmen, hukum-hukum dasar kimia, keterampilan proses sains

Abstract

The Research and Development method was used in this study. Limited testing of product will done at one high school in North Lampung. The purpose of this research were has (1) develop student worksheets based on scientific approach on thermochemical, (2) describe characteristic of the student worksheets that developed, (3) describe teacher response of the student worksheets that developed, and (4) describe students response of the student worksheets that developed. Based on the limited testing result , the percentage of teacher response in suitability content, construction, readability, and attractiveness were 100%; 93,75%; 100%; and 100%, respectively. The results of students responses to the readability and attractiveness were also very high, with the percentage until 98,94% and 97,85%, respectively.Metode penelitian dan pengembangan digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Uji coba secara terbatas produk akan dilakasanakan pada salah satu sekolah di Lampung Utara. Ada empat tujuan dalam penelitian ini (1) mengembangkan LKS berbasis pendekatan saintifik pada materi termokimia, (2) mendeskripsikan karakteristik LKS yang dikembangkan, (3) mendeskripsikan respon guru terhadap LKS yang dikembangkan, dan (4) mendeskripsikan respon siswa terhadap LKS yang dikembangkan. Berdasarkan hasil uji coba terbatas terhadap LKS yang dikembangkan, persentase respon guru pada aspek kesesuaian isi, kontruksi, keterbacaan dan kemenarikan masing-masing adalah 100%; 93,75%; 100%; dan 100%. Hasil respon siswa pada aspek keterbacaan dan kemenarikan juga sangat tinggi, dengan persentase masing-masing mencapai 84,87% dan 86,90%.Kata kunci: lembar kerja siswa, pendekatan saintifik, termokimia

Abstract

Abstract: This research was describing the effectiveness of project based-learning on recycling of waste cooking oil in improving students' creative thinking skills. The method applied was a quasi-experimental with the matching only pretest-posttest control group design. The population were all students of class XI sciense in SMA 14 Bandar Lampung.  The technique was done by using purposive sampling, experimental class (XI science 6) and as the control class (XI science 4). Data analysis used parametric statistical tests which belonged to t-test and n-gain calculation. The results that average of posttest value  in the experimental class was higher than  control class, and the average of n-gain in the experimental class was in moderate category it can be concluded that waste cooking oil recycling project based learning is effective in improving students' creative thinking skills.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas pembelajaran berbasis proyek daur ulang minyak jelantah dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian the matching only pretest-posttest control group. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI MIA di SMA Negeri 14 Bandarlampung. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling, kelas eksperimen (XI MIA 6) dan kelas kontrol (XI MIA 4).  Teknik analisis data yaitu uji statistik parametrik uji t  dan perhitungan n-gain.  Hasil penelitian ini nilai rata-rata postes siswa dikelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol serta n-gain rata-rata dikelas eksperimen berkategori sedang sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis proyek daur ulang minyak jelantah efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa.Kata kunci: keterampilan berpikir kreatif, limbah minyak jelantah, pembelajaran berbasis proyek
