Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the effectiveness of scientific approach to improve the flexibility skills in chemical equilibrium subject matter. The method of the research was quasi experimental with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population of this research was students of class XI IPA SMAN 1 Purbolinggo semester of academic year 2013-2014. Sampling was taken by purposive sampling and obtained class XI IPA 2 as experimental class and XI IPA 4 as control class. The effectiveness of scientific approach in the learning was showed by the significant difference of n-gain between experiment and control class. The results showed that the average n-gain of flexibility skills of control class was 0,38 and 0,58for experiment class. The result of hypothesis testing showed that scientific approach was effective to improve the flexibility skills in chemical equilibrium subject matter.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas pendekatan scientific dalam meningkatkan keterampilan fleksibilitas pada pembelajaran kesetimbangan kimia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Purbolinggo semester ganjil Tahun Pelajaran 2013-2014. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan purposive sampling dan diperoleh kelas XI IPA 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI IPA 4 sebagai kelas kontrol. Efektivitas pendekatan pada pembelajaran ditunjukkan berdasarkan perbedaan n-gain yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata n-gain keterampilan fleksibilitas i untuk kelas kontrol dan eksperimen masing-masing sebesar 0,38 dan 0,58.  Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan scientific efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan fleksibilitas pada pembelajaran kesetimbangan kimia.Kata kunci: fleksibilitas, kesetimbangan kimia, pendekatan scientific.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to know effectiveness of problem solving learning model in enhancing inferring and communicating skill in colloid material. Populations were all 227 students of Grade XI science in YP Unila Senior High School in Bandar Lampung. The samples were 36 students in classroom XI science one and 39 students in classroom XI science two that have equal academic abilities. This was a quasi experiment research using non equivalent control group design. Effectiveness of learning with problem solving model was measured based on significant gain enhancement. The result showed that average values of N-gain of inferring skill in experiment and control classrooms were 0.59 and 0.47 respectively; and average values of N-gain for communicating skill in experiment and control classrooms were 0.56 and 0.47 respectively. The hypothesis result test showed that classroom that used problem solving learning model had higher skill in inferring and communicating than classroom with conventional learning model. This indicated that problem solvinglearning model was effective to enhance student’s inferring and communicating skill in colloid material.Keywords: Problem Solving, inferring and communicating skill

Abstract

The apparatus in determining the system types based glassware has been constructed by using research and development design. The functional test of this apparatus was conducted to the first year undergraduated student of chemical education Lampung University and field trial test was conducted to the 11thgrade student of SMA Negeri 5 Bandar Lampung. The results showed that the functional test of this apparatus get very high criteria and based on teachers and students responses to suitable of this apparatus also get very high criteria. It can be concluded that the apparatus in determining the system types based glassware has good function and suitable to be used.Telah dikembangkan alat penentuan jenis-jenis sistem berbasis gelas menggunakan desain penelitian dan pengembangan. Uji keberfungsian alat ini dilakukan kepada mahasiswa Universitas Lampung dan uji coba lapangan awal dilakukan kepada siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 5 Bandar Lampung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keberfungsian alat ini berkriteria sangat tinggi dan berdasarkan tanggapan guru dan siswa, kelayakan alat juga berkriteria sangat tinggi. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa alat penentuan jenis-jenis sistem berbasis gelas memiliki keberfungsian yang baik dan layak untuk digunakan.Kata kunci: alat praktikum, gelas, sistem terbuka, sistem terisolasi, sistem tertutup

Abstract

This research purpose was to develop student worksheets based on scientific approach on the collision theory. The research method which was used was the method of Research and Development. From the results of the assessment of teachers and student towards student worksheets which were developed, namely student worksheets based on a scientific approach on the collision theory, was obtained percentage on aspects of the suitability of the contents, the readability, and the attractiveness were 94%; 84%; and 84%, respectively which they were categorized very high. The results of student responses to the readability, and attractiveness were also categorized very high with the percentage 82.7% and 85.53%, respectively.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan LKS berbasis pendekatan saintifik pada pokok bahasan teori tumbukan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) Dari hasil penilaian guru dan siswa terhadap LKS yang dikembangkan yaitu LKS berbasis pendekatan saintifik pada pokok bahasan teori tumbukan, diperoleh persentase pada aspek kesesuaian isi, keterbacaan, dan kemenarikan sebesar 94%; 84%; dan 84% yang semuanya dikategorikan sangat tinggi. Hasil tanggapan siswa terhadap keterbacaan dan kemenarikan juga dikategorikan sangat tinggi yaitu dengan persentase 82,7% dan 85,53%.Kata kunci: LKS, pendekatan saintifik, teori tumbukan

Abstract

This research aimed to develop animation media based on chemical representation of oxidation reduction reactions; describe the characteristics animation media based on chemical representation of oxidation reduction reactions; describe the teachers responses and students response to animation media based on chemical representation of oxidation reduction reactions; and know the obstacles encountered when developing animation media based on chemical representation of oxidation reduction reactions. This research used the Research and Development method. The result showed that based on teacher and students responses the complaince content of animation media was high (80%) according to teacher, the attractiveness was very high (83,45%) according to student.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media animasi berbasis representasi kimia pada materi reaksi oksidasi reduksi; mendeskripsikan karakteristik media animasi berbasis representasi kimia pada materi reaksi oksidasi reduksi; mendeskripsikan tanggapan guru dan siswa terhadap media animasi berbasis representasi kimia pada materi reaksi oksidasi reduksi; dan mengetahui faktor pendukung dan kendala-kendala yang dihadapi ketika mengembangkan media animasi berbasis representasi kimia pada materi reaksi oksidasi reduksi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Penelitian dan Pengembangan. Dari hasil tanggapan guru diperoleh data bahwa pada aspek kesesuaian isi media animasi dengan kriteria tinggi sebesar 80%, dan memiliki tingkat kemenarikan sangat tinggi yaitu 83,45% menurut siswa.Kata kunci : media animasi, reaksi oksidasi reduksi, representasi kimia

Abstract

This study aims to describe the characteristics of LKS results of development, validity of LKS results of development, teacher and student responses to LKS results of development. The method used in this research is Borg and Gall research and development method which is only done until the first 5 stages. This research was conducted by involving teachers and students in Senior High School in Bandarlampung. Expert validation results on content conformity, construction, and legibility aspects are 93.93%, 95.56% and 95%, so it is valid. The percentage of teachers' response on contentness, readability, and construction aspects was 88.57%, 95.56%, and 95%, with very high criteria. Percentage of student responses on aspects of attractiveness and readability of 94.18%, and 93.85% with very high criteria. Based on these results then this LKS is made in order to become one of the learning media in school especially on the material of colloidal system.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan karakteristik LKS hasil pengembangan, validitas LKS hasil pengembangan, tanggapan guru dan siswa terhadap LKS hasil pengembangan. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian dan pengembangan Borg and Gall yang hanya dilakukan sampai 5 tahap pertama.  Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan melibatkan guru dan siswa SMA di Bandarlampung. Hasil validasi ahli pada aspek kesesuaian  isi, konstruksi, dan keterbacaan diperoleh persentase sebesar 93,93%, 95,56%, dan 95%, sehingga dinyatakan valid. Persentase tanggapan guru pada aspek kesesuaian isi, keterbacaan, dan kontruksi sebesar 88,57%, 95,56%, dan 95%, dengan kriteria sangat tinggi. Persentase tanggapan siswa pada aspek kemenarikan dan keterbacaan sebesar 94,18%, dan  93,85% dengan kriteria sangat tinggi.  Berdasarkan hasil tersebut maka LKS ini dibuat guna menjadi salah satu media pembelajaran di sekolah khususnya pada materi sistem koloid.Kata Kunci : LKS, everyday life phenomenon, koloid

Abstract

This study was aimed to describe the effectiveness of student worksheet discovery learning buffer solution to improve SPS viewed from cognitive ability. Population in this research were all students of class XI IPA SMA Al-Azhar 3 Bandar Lampung on academic year 2016/2017. The sample in this research was XI IPA 2 and XI IPA 4 classes obtained which was by purposive sampling technique. The research used quasy experiment methods with 2x2 factorial design. Instruments used were students worksheet based on discovery learning and conventional, pretest and postest questions. Data was analysized by using two ways ANOVA test and t test. The reseach result showed that there was no interaction between learning using Student Worksheet and cognitive ability on SPS, learning which used Student Worksheet based on discovery learning was effective to improve SPS, students SPS high cognitive ability was higher than students SPS low cognitive ability using student worksheet based on discovery learning.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas LKS discovery learning larutan penyangga untuk meningkatkan KPS ditinjau dari kemampuan kognitif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Al-Azhar 3 Bandar Lampung Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017. Sampel dalam penelitian ini kelas XI IPA 2 dan XI IPA 4 yang diperoleh melalui teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain faktorial 2x2. Instrumen yang digunakan LKS berbasis discovery learning dan konvensional, soal pretes dan postes. Analisis data yang digunakan uji ANOVA dua jalur dan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa; tidak terdapat interaksi antara pembelajaran menggunakan LKS dan kemampuan kognitif terhadap KPS, pembelajaran menggunakan LKS berbasis discovery learning efektif untuk meningkatkan KPS, KPS siswa kemampuan kognitif tinggi lebih tinggi daripada kemampuan kognitif rendah menggunakan LKS berbasis discovery learning.Kata kunci : kemampuan kognitif, KPS, larutan penyangga, LKS

Abstract

Science learning that happening today seldom use worksheets, worksheets are used by teachers not to increase value of divinity and care toward the environment. This research aims to develop students worksheets providing value divinity and care toward the environment on the nature of solution material. The method in this research is research and development. The result of this research and this development formed in worksheets which have characteristics; a) being able to improve the values of divinity and care toward the environment, b) have the steps which suitable with sintaks in scientific approach, c) including a practicum, d) including a concordance rate of the content equality of 75.00% readability level of 80.00%, and the concerdance rate of 88.00% increase in construction all of which are included in the category of high in very high.Pembelajaran IPA yang berlangsung selama ini jarang menggunakan LKS, LKS yang digunakan guru tidak menumbuhkan nilai-nilai ketuhanan dan kecintaan terhadap lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan LKS bermuatan nilai ketuhanan dan kecintaan terhadap lingkungan pada materi sifat larutan. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan. Hasil penelitian dan pengembangan ini berupa LKS yang memiliki karakteristik yaitu, a) mampu menanamkan nilai-nilai ketuhanan dan kecintaan terhadap lingkungan, b) memiliki tahapan-tahapan yang disesuaikan dengan sintak pendekatan scientific, c) disertai dengan kegiatan praktikum, d) memiliki tingkat kesesuaian isi yaitu sebesar 75,00%, tingkat keterbacaan sebesar 80,00%, dan tingkat konstruksi sebesar 88,00% yang semuanya termasuk dalam kategori tinggi dan sangat tinggi.Kata kunci:cintalingkungan,LKS,nilai ketuhanan, sifat larutan.

Abstract

This research aimed to develop the students worksheet of matter particles based on chemistry representations for students in junior high school, to describe the characteristics of the developed students worksheet, to describe teachers’ responses and students’ responses of the developed students worksheet and to know the obstacles encountered in developing the students worksheet.  This research used Research and Development method.  The results showed that teachers’ responses of the developed students worksheet in the content’s suitability aspect were 94,54%, in the attraction aspect were 95% and in the readable aspect were 96%.  All of the teachers’ responses were very high category.  The result showed that students’ responses of the developed students worksheet in the attraction aspect were 85,21% and in the readable aspect were 88%.  All of the students’responses were very high category.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan lembar kerja siswa partikel materi berbasis representasi kimia untuk siswa pada tingkat Sekolah Menengah Pertama, mendeskripsikan karakteristik LKS yang dikembangkan, mendeskripsikan tanggapan guru dan tanggapan siswa terhadap LKS yang telah dikembangkan dan mengetahui kendala-kendala yang ditemui saat mengembangkan LKS.  Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian dan Pengembangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tanggapan guru terhadap LKS yang dikembangkan pada aspek kesesuaian isi sebesar 94,54%, pada aspek kemenarikan sebesar 95% dan pada aspek keterbacaan sebesar 96%.  Tanggapan dari guru tersebut semuanya termasuk ke dalam kategori sangat tinggi.  Sedangkan tanggapan siswa terhadap LKS yang dikembangkan pada aspek kemenarikan sebesar 85,21% dan pada aspek keterbacaan sebesar 88%.  Tanggapan dari siswa tersebut semuanya termasuk ke dalam kategori sangat tinggi.Kata kunci: lembar kerja siswa, partikel materi, representasi kimia.

Abstract

This study purpose to describe critical thinking skill of the eleven science  students in senior high school of international school preparation programs (RSBI) on chemical equilibrium leason.  This study is qualitative study to the type of phenomenological study.  This study is used essaies test, questionnaires, dan interviews manual.  Subjects of this study are 32 students in class XI science 1 of  Senior High School State 1 Kotagajah, 25 students in class XI science 6 of  Senior High School State 1 Metro and 30 students in class XI science 5 of  Senior High School State 9 Bandar Lampung.The result of this study show that four idicators of critical thinking that are answer question “Why”, judging the credibility of procedures, interpretation of statements, and making conclusion base on facts get average-value in a row 66,89; 68,26; 68,25 and 72,22 that all of it are in good criteria and thenindicator of making conclusion base on facts get the highest average-value.  Students in high category, medium category and low category get average-value in a row 75,14; 69,77 and 62,47 all of it are in good criteria and then students in high category have critical thinking skill better than the other category. Critical thinking abilities rate of the eleven science  students in senior high school of international school preparation programs (RSBI)  are in good criteria. Keyword: Critical Thinking Skill, Chemical Equilibrium, International School Preparation Programs (RSBI)
