Abstract

The purpose of this research is: (1) obtain a picture of the quality of implementation of the model PBL on the ability of solving mathematical problem for the material volume cubes and blocks as well as the surface area of cubes and blocks in class V SD N Karangwotan 02 Pucakwangi Pati, (2) identify the mathematical problem solving ability of students in class V SD N Karangwotan 02 Pucakwangi Pati terms of learning motivation after the application of PBL models, and (3) identify the mathematical problem solving ability of students in class V SD N Karangwotan 02 Pucakwangi Pati terms of learning style after the application of PBL models.This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Analysis of the quality of the learning process judged from phase: (1) planning, (2) implementation, and (3) assessment. While data analysis is done through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that: (1) the quality of learning by using the model PBL Scientific approach to the achievement of an increase in mathematical problem solving ability of students in class V SD N Karangwotan 02 in both categories, (2) students with learning motivation high, medium, and low have the same pattern differ in resolving mathematical problem solving Polya steps, and (3) the student's learning style visual, auditory, and kinesthetic also both have different patterns in solving a mathematical problem solving with Polya steps.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the TPCK ability of the prospective teachers in preparing, planning, and implementing of learning on atomic structure material. The type of research is a descriptive study with qualitative design. The research subjects were ten prospective teachers who were implementing the PPL in five Senior High Schools in Banda Aceh. The data collection was done in three stages, identifying the CoRe instrument, analyzingthe teaching plan, observing the prospective teachers learning. Firstly, the results showed the TPCK ability of the prospective teachers in preparing of learning is in a good category, butthe ability in the CK, PK, TCK and TPK components are still low. Secondly, the TPCK ability of prospective teachers in the planning are at the moderate category, but average of the prospective teachers ability in the PK, TPK, PCK, and TCK components are still low. Lastly, the TPCK ability of prospective teachers in implementing of learning is in a good category, but the analysis of the components of PK, CK, TPK and TCK scores of prospective teachers are still low.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to distinguish the analyze the difference 21st-century skills of student between the PjBL and the Problem Posing learning models. This research is a quasi-experimental study. Determination of subjects was performed purposively on fourth-grade students of Randuagung Elementary School as the 1st experimental class, amounting to 35 students, and Sukorejo Elementary School as the 2nd experimental group, amounting to 32 students. Data collection was performed by observing communication and collaboration skills during the learning and providing tests of critical thinking and creativity skills after implementing the models. Data analysis used MANOVA. The results showed that there were significant differences in 21st-century skills between students implemented using the PjBL and the Problem Posing models. The optimal PjBL model implementation is creativity, communication, and collaboration skills, due to the results of the multivariate test are different and have a higher average if compared with the implementation of the Problem Posing model. Whereas the implementation of the Problem Posing model has not been optimal for all skills. Critical thinking skills achieved by a student in both model implementation have no significant difference. The differences in the average of the 21st-century skills gained by the student in the two models do not differ greatly. However, the intensity result is that from four skills on the Problem Posing model, critical thinking skills is improve significantly.

Abstract

Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa SMA Negeri 1 Semarang melalui penerapan pendidikan karakter dengan metode pembelajaran kooperatif tipe learning together. Metode kooperatif tipe learning together merupakan model pembelajaran menggunakan kelompok belajar heterogen dan menekankan terhadap interdependensi positif demi keberhasilan pembelajaran materi fluida statis. Tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa setelah diterapkannya model kooperatif tipe learning together pada materi fluida statis di SMA Negeri 1 Semarang. Model yang digunakan adalah metode diskusi dengan siswa kelas XI MIPA 9 sebagai objek penelitian. Data hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah data penilaian karakter dan hasil belajar siswa siklus I, siklus II, dan siklus III. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar yang telah diperoleh melalui uji gain menunjukkan peningkatan sebesar 0,77 pada siklus terakhir yang masuk ke dalam kategori tinggi untuk tingkat keberhasilan, sedangkan untuk penilaian karakter meningkat secara signifikan cukup menuju kategori baik berdasarkan interval dan indikator ketuntasan. Dari data yang diperoleh, penerapan pendidikan karakter dengan model pembelajaran learning together berpengaruh pada hasil belajar yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai hasil belajar pada siklus III yang meningkat secara signifikan. Secara umum kesimpulan yang diambil dari penelitian ini adalah penerapan pendidikan karakter dengan model kooperatif tipe learning together berpengaruh dalam hal peningkatan hasil belajar pada materi fluida statis di SMA Negeri 1 Semarang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertolak dari adanya masalah yang muncul pada pembelajaran fisika kelas XI SMA yaitu guru fisika yang tidak memahami karakter siswa sehingga menyulitkan dalam proses transfer pengetahuan mengakibatkan hasil belajar rendah. Maka guru perlu memunculkan karakter siswa yang membudaya dan melibatkan laboratorium seperti halnya cara belajar seorang ilmuan. Model pembelajaran yang dapat mengatasi permasalahan tersebut adalah model guided discovery learning berorientasi pendidikan karakter. Rumusan masalah penelitian ini adalah: apakah model guided discovery learning berorientasi pendidikan karakter dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Semarang Tahun Pelajaran 2017/2018? Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif dan psikomotorik serta perkembangan karakter siswa pada materi pokok fluida statis dengan penerapan model guided discovery learning berorientasi pendidikan karakter pada siswa Kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Semarang Tahun Ajaran 2017/2018. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Semarang dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 40 siswa yang terdiri dari 14 orang lakilaki dan 26 orang perempuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran melalui penerapan model guided discovery learning berorientasi pendidikan karakter mengalami peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Untuk hasil belajar kognitif dengan nilai rata-rata dari siklus 1 sebesar 79 ke siklus 2 sebesar 85 dengan analisis uji gain diperoleh peningkatan sebesar 0,28 kreteria rendah. Untuk hasil observasi psikomotorik dengan nilai rata-rata dari siklus 1 sebesar 69 ke siklus 2 sebesar 80 dengan analisis uji gain diperoleh peningkatan sebesar 0,55 kreteria sedang. Untuk hasil observasi karakter siswa nilai rata-rata dari siklus 1 sebesar 60 ke siklus 2 sebesar 80 dengan analisis uji gain diperoleh peningkatan sebesar 0,50 kreteria sedang. Terbukti dari hasil belajar siswa yang telah memenuhi indikator keberhasilan yang ditetapkan Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan model guided discovery learning berorientasi pendidikan karakter dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa Kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Semarang. Disarankan bagi guru untuk menggunakan model guided discovery learning berorientasi pendidikan karakter dalam pembelajaran fisika.

Abstract

The study was based on students' high motivation for gadgets but low in learning. The renewal of learning based on active, innovative, creative, efficient and fun learning (PAIKEM) that is the Flipped Classroom model and additional variables (motivation) is required to improve the process of critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness and influence of the Flipped Classroom Model towards the ability to think critically and student science learning outcomes of students by increasing their motivation. The method used in this study was an experiment with the Control Group Post-test – Only Design. The sample comprised of 121 students from 4 elementary schools in Pati. The data collection consisted of performance tests to measure critical thinking skills and learning outcomes while questionnaires to measure student’s learning motivation. The data were analyzed using the average difference test and single line regression. The analysis result of the average difference test showed that Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 and result of single line regression Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 (sig < 0.05). The results in this study showed that Model Flipped Classroom learning is effective in improving the ability of critical thinking, science learning outcomes and student motivation, there is positive influence between learning motivation and critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes science.

Abstract

Kecamatan Gunungpati Semarang memiliki potensi untuk menjadi sentra pertanian kebun buah dan sayur organik salah satunya melalui kegiatan Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT). Namun selama ini, kegiatan yang ada di KWT dan hasil pertanian belum optimal. Hal ini dikarenakan belum efektifnya penataan tanaman di kebun pekarangan rumah, masih ada lahan kebun yang kosong belum dimanfaatkan, belum ada pembukuan kegiatan dan manajemen penjualan hasil pertanian, masih rendah difersifikasi hasil pertanian menjadi produk bernilai jual tinggi, dan minimnya pengetahuan dan sarana pembuatan pupuk kompos dari limbah organik di lingkungan sekitar sebagai upaya meminimalisir pengeluaran untuk kebutuhan pupuk. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, iptek bagi masyarakat (IbM) melalui program pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan dengan cara pemberian pengetahuan dan keterampilan di bidang optimalisasi lahan, pembukuan dan manajemen hasil pertanian, difersifikasi jahe menjadi minuman jahe instan, dan pembuatan pupuk kompos. Luaran yang dihasilkan adalah peningkatan keterampilan anggota KWT dalam optimalisasi lahan untuk pertanian organik, terampil dalam mengolah jahe menjadi minuman jahe instan, membuat pupuk organik, serta kompeten dalam pembukuan dan manajemen penjualan hasil pertanian.

Abstract

Stakeholders have high expectation on natural sciences education to makestudents ready to compete in the fast changing world. To meet the expectation, thenatural sciences education needs an educational supervision to assure its quality. Thearticle will discuss a model characterized by professional collegial dialogues. It meansthat the dialogues must be democratic, equal and respecting each other according totheir position. This model has an important role in the school-based management. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explore the physics teacher student’sconception and the reasoning of their conception regarding the acceleration of asimple pendulum. A paper-pencil test was conducted to explore their conception of theacceleration concept at this case. Thirty second-year-students were asked to specifywhether the acceleration of the pendulum is zero at the indicated points, and to specifyits direction if it is not zero. Based on the result of the test, an interview wasconducted to the students for analysing the underlying cognition (reasoning) of theiranswers. The result of this study showed that all of students could not draw thedirection of the acceleration. Additionally, there were three groups of students basedon the cognitive analysis. The first group was the most students (50%) that hadconfusion of the acceleration definition, so they were unable to interpret it properly.The second one was some students (30%) that assumed the pendulum oscillation is asa simple harmonic motion, in which the acceleration at its equilibrium point is zero.The last group was the others (20%) that considered the pendulum oscillation is as apart of an uniform circular motion, in which the acceleration is always toward thecentre.Kata kunci: analisis kognitif, percepatan, ayunan sederhana
