Abstract

ABSTRACT Vector-borne diseases such as dengue are still a health problem in Indonesia. Vector control is the most effective measure to prevent disease transmission. Bactivec SL® has been used since 2008 in Bengkulu City in the dengue control program in Bengkulu City. Evaluation of the effectiveness of the use of biolarvicides has not been carried out effectively. This study aimed to asses the effectiveness of Bactivec SL® against larvae of Aedes sp. used to control dengue in 2020 from Bentiring Village, Bengkulu City. This research was an experimental post test only control group design in November to December 2020 . The sample was obtained from the Bentiring Village as many as 160 larvae of Aedes sp. instar III and instar IV and they were divided into 2 groups (control group and treatment group). This study used the biological test method (4 replications). Data were analyzed by one way ANOVA test and probit analysis to determine the value of LT50,90,99. The results showed that Bactivec SL® was no longer effective in controlling Aedes sp. larvae. in Kelurahan Bentiring with a larval mortality rate of 35%. The value of LT50,90,99 were 76 hours, 107 hours and 131 hours, respectively. The incidence of dengue fever in Bengkulu City in 3 consecutive years (2017-2020) has increased larvicide use rotation is very necessary for optimal control of Aedes sp larvae. ABSTRAK Penyakit tular vektor seperti dengue masih menjadi masalah kesehatan di Indonesia. Pengendalian vektor merupakan tindakan yang paling efektif untuk mencegah penularan penyakit. Bactivec SL® telah digunakan sejak tahun 2008 di Kota Bengkulu dalam program pengendalian dengue di Kota Bengkulu. Evaluasi efektifitas penggunaan biolarvasida belum dilakukan dengan efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai efektivitas Bactivec SL® terhadap larva Aedes sp. yang digunakan untuk kontrol dengue pada tahun 2020 yang berasal dari Kelurahan Bentiring Kota Bengkulu. Penelitian ini merupakan eksperimental post test only control group design pada bulan November-Desember 2020. Sampel penelitian ini didapatkan dari Kelurahan Bentiring sebanyak 160 ekor larva Aedes sp. instar III dan instar IV yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok kontrol dan kelompok uji dengan sembilan variasi waktu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode uji hayati sebanyak empat kali replikasi. Data dianalisis dengan uji one way ANOVA dan analisis probit untuk menentukan nilai LT50,90,99. Hasil penelitian menunjukan Bactivec SL® dosis 3 µl/L sudah tidak efektif dalam mengendalikan larva Aedes sp. di Kelurahan Bentiring dengan angka kematian larva sebesar 35%. Nilai LT50,90,99 berturut-turut sebesar LT50 76 jam, LT90 107 jam dan LT 99 131 jam. Angka kejadian DBD di Kota Bengkulu dalam tiga tahun berturut-turut (2017-2020) mengalami peningkatan. Rotasi larvasida sangat diperlukan untuk pengendalian larva Aedes sp. yang optimal.

Abstract

The prevalence of DM in Riskesdas in 2018 according to the Perkeni consensus in 2015 is higher than according to the Perkeni consensus in 2011, the prevalence was10.9%. The disease can develop into diabetes nephropathy, Increased prevalence of diabetic nephropathy directly proportional with an increase in diabetes prevalence. Diabetic nephropathy is a microvascular complication in diabetics that develops around 30% in patients with type I DM and about 40% in patients with type II DM. Turmeric extract has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects to prevent the bad development of diabetes nephropathy. This study looked at the effect of giving a combination of noni and turmeric extract on histopathology of alloxan-induced renal rats. A total of 25 mice were divided into 5 treatment groups, namely the PI group (250 mg / kgBB extract dose), PII group (500 mg / kgBB extract dose), PIII group (750 mg / kgBB extract dose), positive control group (glibenklamid) and negative control group (without extract and glibenklamid). The study used Post Test Only Group. The highest percentage decrease in blood glucose in the PI group was 56.11% and the lowest decrease in the PIII group was 24.12% with p = 0.012. The results of the study were not based on the number of extract doses. The measurement results of rat body weight and glomerular diameter were not affected by blood glucose level with p = 0.700 for body weight and p = 0.187 for glomerular measurement results.

Abstract

This research aimed to know a comparison of students’ learning achievement between the class with post-test and non post-test. This research is done in SMA N 1  Rumbia. The method of  this research is quasi-experimental research. In this research, independent variable is post test and dependent variable is learning achievement. The data was obtained by t-test used SPSS 17.0. The result of research shows that the comparison of students’ average score in the class which apply post-test is higher than non post-test.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan prestasi belajar antara kelas yang menggunakan post-test dan kelas yang tidak menggunakan post-test. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA N 1 Rumbia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Eksperimental-Semu. Dalam penelitian ini yang menjadi variabel bebasnya adalah post test sedangkan variabel terikatnya yaitu prestasi belajar. Data pada penelitian ini diperoleh dengan uji-t menggunakan SPSS 17.0. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa perbandingan prestasi belajar siswa pada  kelas yang menggunakan post-test lebih tinggi daripada kelas yang tidak menggunakan post-test.Kata kunci: perbandingan, post-test, prestasi belajar.

Abstract

Indonesian people have long used garlic as traditional medicine because it contains various chemical compounds that are beneficial to the body. In this study identification of garlicin and kuersetin compounds in garlic as an antibacterial. This study requires 500 grams of garlic each in wet preparations consist of fine garlic and garlic extract, and dry preparation consists of garlic powder. In addition, this research requires 2,1 liters of 96% ethanol. Garlic is dried at 400C with TMI Vacuum Oven and extracted at 250C. Garlic powder is made using Krisbow dry cabinet with a temperature of 1000F and a pressure of 10 Pa. Garlisin content was identified by GCMS Shimadzu TQ8030 and FTIR Perkin Elmer Spectrum Two UATR, while identification of quercetin using Shimadzu HPLC type UFLC. The result shows that the compound garlicin (C6H10S2) was found in the three samples with identical similarity levels. In addition, the three samples showed differences in kuersetin content. The highest kuersetin content was 458.729 ppm garlic extract while the lowest kuersetin content was 81.181 ppm fresh garlic. Both of these compounds have potential as antimicrobial compounds.

Abstract

DHF is a disease caused by a virus which is transmitted through the bite of the Aedes aegypti mosquito and is one of the health problems in Indonesia. Efforts to decide the transmission of DHF by controlling the population of Aedes aegypti at the larval stage using larvaside temepos. Long-term use of temephos causes Aedes aegypti resistance and environmental damage. One of the plants that has the potential as botanical larvaside is the leaves of zodia (Evodia suaveolens). The purpose of this study was to prove the efficacy of zodia leaves of hexane solvent for killing A. aegypti larvae. This type of research is a pure experiment with the post test only control group design. The research sample is A. aegypti stage III susceptible strain. There are 7 groups consisting of 1 negative control (aquades), positive control (1 ppm temepos) and 5 treatment groups (zodia leaf extract). Data on larval mortality were counted 24 hours after treatment. The results of the one way ANOVA test showed that there were differences in mortality between test groups with a p value: 0.001 α (0.05). Zodia leaf extract probit test results showed LC50-24 hour and LC90-24 hour values of 0,443 ppm and 0,788 ppm. Zodia leaf extract with hexane solvent has efficacy as Aedes aegypti larvicide.

Abstract

Corona 2019 virus disease (COVID-19) has been designated as a global pandemic by WHO. This disease is caused by SARS-CoV-2. The management program that has been carried out by the Government of Indonesia is the Large-Scale Social Limitation (PSBB) and now it is the Adaptation of New Habits (AKB) or new normal. This effort was made to reduce the spread of COVID-19. This research was conducted to identify the knowledge, attitudes and behavior of the people of DKI Jakarta province towards the prevention of SARS-CoV-2 transmission. This research uses descriptive analysis, distributing closed questions in a randomized online questionnaire to 5 cities in DKI Jakarta Province through social media networks. The number of respondents in this study was 1021. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis by calculating frequency, percentage, and cross tabulation. Research shows 83% have good knowledge, 70.7% good attitude and 70.3% good skills in COVID prevention 19. It is necessary to conduct strict and massive health promotion and field monitoring in the community so that this pandemic ends soon.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors that influence hypertensive patients in making efforts to prevent complications in the working area of the Tlogosari Wetan and Tlogosari Kulon Public Health Centers, Semarang City. The types and designs in this research include quantitative research designs and survey research types. Survey research is a research that looks for how a health phenomenon occurs. The results showed that statistical analysis using the Chi square test with sig.0.05 showed the results of p value 0.007 meaning p <0.05 so ho was rejected, so it was concluded that there was a relationship between self-efficacy and efforts to prevent hypertension patients from getting complications in the work area. Tlogosari Wetan and Tlogosari Kulon Public Health Centers, Semarang City, as well as the results of statistical analysis using the Chi square test with sig.0.05 shows p value 0.303 meaning p>0.05 so ho is accepted, so it can be concluded that there is no relationship between effectiveness response and patient prevention efforts. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of work discipline and organizational culture on employee performance. This research was conducted on 52 employees at the Faculty of Computer Science, Sriwijaya University. The results showed that the variables of work discipline and organizational culture had a positive and significant effect on employee performance both simultaneously and partially. Work discipline variables have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The application of employee work discipline is very helpful for the company in achieving organizational goals. Organizational culture variables have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Organizational culture can influence employee work behavior so that it can affect employee performance.

Abstract

Rats are rodent that harm to human life and able to adabt to the environment including port area. The increasing flow of passanger and goods through seaport need to be awareagainst the transmision of rodent borne disease in port area. The purpose is to assess the density of rat and ectoparasites in Cilacap seaport wich includes port of Tanjung Intan and fishing port of Cilacap (PPSC). The reserch was done in February 2014. This was a descriptive research used survey method with cross sectional approach. A single live trap mounted in the perimeter and buffer area with grilled coconut bait for four consecutive days.The result of the research at port of Tanjung Intan obtained species Rattus tanezumi (45%), R. norvegicus (38%) and Suncus murinus (17%). In PPSC obtained species Rattus tanezumi (37%), R. norvegicus (47%), R. norvegicus javanus (2%), Mus musculus (1%), Bandicota indica (2%) and Suncus murinus (11%). The relative density rats on Tanjung Intan is 6,6% and PPSC 13%. A kind of ectoparasites obtained in both location identified as flea of  Xenopsylla cheopis, lice of Hoplopleura oenomidis and mites of Echinolelaps echinidnus and Laelaps nuttalli. The flea index of X. cheopis on port of Tanjung Intan is 1,5 and on PPSC 1,9. Mite index in port of Tanjung Intan higher(1,05) than PPSC (0,35). Lice infestement in port of Tanjung Intan (1,9%) lower than PPSC (17,2%). The conclusion is port of Cilacap need to be alert to the possible spread of rodent and vector borne disease related to the density of rat and the ectoparasites. Rodent control in PPSC and port of Tanjung Intan need to be done.

Abstract

Flies are vectors that carrying disease so need measured it densities for control purposes. Flies also the insects which have compound eyes can distinguish some colors frequencies. Fly grill one the tools measuring density of flies. Fly grill made wooden planks with varied color. Fly grill used given paint the ocher, light yellow, white and one fly grill without paint. The general objective of this study was determine the effect of variations of yellow color the fly grill to the density of flies. The study design used was quasi experiment with models Post Test Only Design. This research was conducted at the fish auction place (TPI) Tambak Lorok Semarang city for four days at four different locations. At predetermined point, did measurements ten times by calculating the average data five times the highest calculation. The results show the werage number of fly grill without paint is 8,5 flies, white 9,5 flies, ocher 16 ekor, light yellow 9,75 flies. Data were analyzed by Kruskall Wallis the significant level α=0.05. From the calculation using Mann Whitney, states that there are differences the density of flies the fly grill by using different color variations, in order from highest to lowest is ocher color, light yellow, white and without paint. Herefore, is advisable to use the fly grill with ocher colors in measuring the density of flies also the need for the control of flies in TPI because of the results from research obtained the flies have exceeded five flies per block grill.
