Abstract

Ikan Nila menjadi salah satu komoditas budidaya ikan air tawar populer di Pulau Bangka. Sebagian besar pembudidaya hanya menggunakan pakan pelet komersil sebagai sumber nutrisi Ikan Nila yang dibudidayakan, termasuk pada budidaya di Kulong Kelat Desa Pagarawan, Merawang, Kabupaten Bangka. Tim pengabdi dari Akuakultur Universitas Bangka Belitung berupaya mensosialisasikan pakan alami alternatif berupa Wolffia. Salah satu jenis duckweed ini memiliki pertumbuhan cepat dan kandungan protein yang tinggi sehingga dapat mensubstitusi pakan ikan yang selama ini digunakan. Substitusi ini dapat mengurangi biaya pembelian pakan karena Wolffia mudah dibudidayakan. Pakan alami Wolffia potensial untuk diterapkan pada budidaya Ikan Nila di Kulong Kelat Desa Pagarawan, Kecamatan Merawang dalam upaya mengurangi biaya pembelian pelet ikan.

Abstract

Ampiang merupakan makanan khas Bangka yang berbahan baku ikan. Selama ini, ikan yang digunakan berupa ikan laut. Hasil tangkapan ikan laut yang fluktuatif sepanjang tahun menjadikan ketersediaan bahan baku pembuatan ampiang tidak selalu ada. Pengabdian ini mencoba menggunakan Ikan Lele untuk mensubstutusi bahan baku ikan pada pembuatan ampiang dan mendeskripsikan respon konsumen terhadap produk yang dihasilkan. Produksi ampiang dilakukan tiga kali dengan produk sebanyak 9, 8 dan 7 kg. . Produk kerupuk ampiang mendapat respon positif dari pembeli. Seluruh hasil produksi terjual habis dengan penjualan secara direct selling dan melalui toko oleh-oleh. Penjualan ampiang seharga Rp. 20.000,- per kemasan 170 gram memberikan keuntungan 29 – 37% dari harga pokok produksi.

Abstract

Vannamei shrimp is a fishery cultivation commodity that has high economic value and has a global market. Shrimp can be cultivated on a household scale and have been developed on Bangka Island. One of the household scale shrimp cultivation business actors is Pokdakan Mawar Lestari which is located in Semabung Lama, Bukit Intan district,Pangkalpinang city, Bangka Belitung Islands Province. It is necessary to study the feasibility and development potential in Bangka Belitung. Vanamei shrimp cultivation on a household scale uses a tarpaulin pond measuring 17 x 14m2. Shrimp can reach sizes according to market demand with a maintenance period of 110-120 days. Shrimp marketing is carried out through holding companies and local markets. Household scale shrimp cultivation is profitable and has the potential to be applied in other areas on Bangka Islands. Handling of cultivation waste needs to be a concern so that economic benefits do not result in environmental losses.

Abstract

This research focuses on discussing typical traditional foods made from fish originating from the islands of Bangka and Belitung. The aim is to find out the differences in the ingredients and the process of making Bangka and Belitung traditional foods, namely Lempah Kuning and Gangan. Lempah kuning is a very famous speciality among the people of Bangka, and Gangan is a speciality food whose main ingredient is made from fish originating from Belitung Island. This research uses a qualitative research type method with data collection methods in the form of observation and also conducting interviews with sources. Lempah Kuning from Bangka and Gangan from Belitung have differences in the types of spices and cooking methods. Lempah Kuning uses Belimbing Wuluh and Gangan utilises the acid from Pineapple. Lempah Kuning uses fish ingredients, while Gangan cooks fish, beef, chicken and duck. The resulting flavours and aromas are different.

Abstract

Abstract. Leaf litter of mangrove has the potential for cellulolytic bacteria that are beneficial in aquaculture feed. Tin mining in Bangka Island impact for mangrove and allows for new strains of cellulolytic bacteria. Identification and safety evaluations are needed to knows the applied to aquaculture. This study aims to obtain and evaluate the potential impact on the aquaculture of cellulolytic bacteria from the Tukak Sadai mangrove, South Bangka.  The effects were shown on the survival and clinical symptoms of fish through pathogenicity testing of the selected bacteria. This research was done from March 2017 until March 2018. Leaf litter was a sample taken from mangroves and isolated using 1% Carboxymethyl Cellulosa (CMC) media. Qualitative test of cellulase enzyme activity uses congo red and bacterial identification to use biochemical characterization with Microbact TM. There were six cellulolytic bacterial isolates from the mangrove leaves of Tukak Sadai, South Bangka. TSS4 isolates had the highest cellulolytic index of 26.4 mm compared to other strains. Biochemical characterization of TSS4 isolates show similarities with Bacillus cereus. Pathogenicity test on Bacillus cereus_TSS4 isolates show that it was not pathogenic with normal fish conditions until the end of maintenance, fish survival reached 100%, and no damage to internal organs occurred.Keywords: Bacillus cereus,  mangrove leaf litter, pathogenicity, cellulolytic bacteriaAbstrak. Serasah daun mangrove memiliki potensi bakteri selulolitik yang bermanfaat pada pakan dalam akuakultur. Penambangan timah di Pulau Bangka berdampak pada hutan bakau dan memungkinkan strain bakteri selulolitik baru. Identifikasi dan evaluasi keamanan diperlukan untuk mengetahui penerapan pada budidaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan dan mengevaluasi dampak potensial pada akuakultur dari bakteri selulolitik hutan bakau Tukak Sadai, Bangka Selatan. Dampaknya   ditunjukkan  pada   kelangsungan   hidup   dan   gejala   klinis  ikan  melalui   pengujian patogenisitas dari bakteri yang dipilih. Penelitian ini dilakukan mulai Maret 2017 hingga Maret 2018. Serasah daun merupakan sampel yang diambil dari mangrove dan diisolasi menggunakan media Carboxymethyl Cellulosa (CMC) 1%. Uji kualitatif aktivitas enzim selulase menggunakan congo red dan identifikasi bakteri untuk menggunakan karakterisasi biokimia dengan MicrobactTM. Ada enam isolat bakteri selulolitik dari daun mangrove Tukak Sadai, Bangka Selatan. Isolat TSS4 memiliki indeks selulolitik tertinggi 26,4 mm dibandingkan dengan jenis lainnya. Karakterisasi biokimia isolat TSS4 menunjukkan kesamaan dengan Bacillus cereus. Uji patogenisitas pada isolat Bacillus cereus_TSS4 menunjukkan bahwa tidak patogen dengan kondisi ikan normal sampai akhir pemeliharaan, kelangsungan hidup ikan mencapai 100%, dan tidak terjadi kerusakan pada organ internal.Kata kunci: Bacillus cereus, serasah daun mangrove, patogenisitas, bakteri selulolitik

Abstract

Panjang Island, one of the islands in the Bangka Belitung Archipelago Province, has a significant capture fishery potential. The fishermen's wives manage by-products from fish catches as raw materials for fish kemplang production. However, the development of the kemplang fish business has not been optimal with various obstacles. University of Bangka Belitung team is trying to help kemplang processors on Panjang Island improve the production and packaging. Empowerment is carried out through socialization and training. Socialization was carried out to convey good manufacturing practice (GMP) and sanitation in kemplang production, while training was conducted on the use of cutting tools and packaging of kemplang products. The kemplang cutter can adjust the thickness and uniformity of the kemplang slices. Standing pouch packaging and using a sealer can increase the quality of kemplang's shelf life and provide an attractive appearance. Implementing production and packaging technology can be accepted by business actors making fish kemplang on Panjang Island.
