Abstract

The learning model is one of the factors that influence student learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of learning outcomes based on students' motivation in thematic learning with The Discovery Learning Model assisted by audio-visual media with the theme of Our Friends Environment in elementary schools. This type of research is quantitative with quasi-experimental research (quasi-experiment). This study uses a pre-test – post-test nonequivalent control group design with two class research objects consisting of a control class (Public Elementary School Kalipancur 2, Semarang) and an experimental class (Public Elementary School Purwoyoso 4, Semarang). The sample consisted of 72 students. This data collection technique uses N-Gain analysis. The results of this study are an increase in learning outcomes based on motivation significantly. Obtained an average increase in learning outcomes of 87.4% in the very good category. The average skill of 75.8% is in the very good category. An average motivation of 86% is in the very good category. The average N-Gain test of 0.602 is in the medium category. The conclusion of this research is an increase in student learning outcomes after participating in thematic learning with The Discovery Learning Model assisted by audio-visual media. Motivation accompanies an increase in student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims at finding a synergetic partnership model between vocational high schools (SMK) with stakeholders for the educational implementation of SMK in developing their graduate entrepreneurship. The study employed Research and Development as research method. The first-year results of the study are as follows: (1) a synergetic and sustainable partnership between SMK and stakeholders in developing the graduate entrepreneurship is very essential mainly in the aspects of curriculum development, implementation of learning strategies, utilization of human resources, evaluation, and distribution of graduates; (2) the existing partnership between SMK and stakeholders has not specifically developed graduate entrepreneurship, but more in the form of implementation of industrial working practices (prakerin) which includes learning activities, utilization of human resources, and evaluation of learning; (3) partnership between SMK and stakeholders is very necessary, starting from the planning and development of the curriculum.

Abstract

The purpose of this research to analyze the internalization process of religious character conducted by teachers in the learning process in low class in Islamic elementary school in Purwokerto City. The type of research used is qualitative. Research Data is derived from interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis used in this research by triangulation. The results showed that the process of planting religious character in the implementation of learning carried out by associating the value of religious characters into the learning theme integrated in syllabus and RPP and applied in Implementation of learning. Research conclusion shows that the implementation of religious character planting in the low class in the implementation of learning in the city of Purwokerto carried out by integrating religious character book into the implementation of learning. The suggestions presented in this study are necessary to be further developed in subsequent studies.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a patient-safety-based Interprofessional Collaboration (IPC) education model to improve the competence of the Specialist-1 of Child Health Medical Education Program (PPDS I) doctors of Child Health Medical Science in Dr. Kariadi Central Hospital, Medical School, Diponegoro University and the students in the nursing profession program. This study was designed using the Research and Development approach. The data of this study were analyzed using qualitative descriptive techniques. The steps of developing the model in this study include (1) preliminary analysis; (2) findings of factual models; (3) development of conceptual models; (4) development of a hypothetical model; (5) final model development. The results of the study show that PPDS I of Child Health at Dr. Kariadi Central Hospital has not implemented the IPC based on safety. The model of safety-based IPC is based on four main indicators, namely (1) Interprofessional Collaborative Competence; (2) Competency of Pediatricians & Nurses; (3) Interprofessional Learning Readiness Scale; (4) Scale of Interprofessional Team Performance. The results of the trials of the interprofessional collaboration education model developed have been able to increase the competence of PPDS I doctors 45.61% and 20.68% in students of the nursing profession program (nurses). The increaseof the competence and professionalism of PPDS I doctors and nurses is also based on moral principles and ethical codes that are actualized as noble attitudes and sincerity. It is suggested that the implementation of the developed patient-safety-based interprofessional collaboration education model needs to be supported by policies or regulations by related parties in order to improve the effectiveness of the specialist medical education programs and nursing professional education programs (Ners).

Abstract

The implementation of the Timor-Leste curriculum 2011 for the multimedia technology subject at Public High School in Baucau sub-district needs to be evaluated for maintaining the consistency of the curriculum objective achievements. This research aims to know the teachers’ readiness in implementing the Timor-Leste curriculum 2011. The aspects considered are official language competence, academic qualification, pedagogical competence, and professional competence. This research is a survey analysis using 7 respondents of multimedia technology teachers. The result of the research shows that the teachers at Public High School 01 and 02 in Baucau Sub-district are in the "high” category because the percentage of achievement from the four aspects is 91.71 % until 85%. The teachers’ readiness should be evaluated as the guidance or resource to increase the teachers' competence from the aspect of academic competence, teachers' qualifications, pedagogical competence, and professional competence to give the qualified output of the education.

Abstract

Starting from 2015, the ministry of religions and affairs of Indonesia has developed a type of formal education service, specially for pesantren by announcing Pendidikan Diniyah Formal (PDF). Some pesantren in Indonesia have implemented this kind of curriculum, so that it is necessary to conduct a study related to its implementation in order to acquire the whole description of its actualization in pesantren. This study aims to describe the implementation of PDF at APIK (Asrama Pendidikan Islam Kaliwungu), one of pesantren in Kaliwungu. This study belongs to case study and uses qualitative approach. The data were collected through interview, observation, and documentation in order to know the planning, implementation, and evaluation process of PDF. This study uses the model of Miles and Huberman which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing in analyzing the data. The research result shows the implementation of PDF at APIK including its learning objectives, materials, sources, time allotment, as well as the evaluation system has been appropriate with the basic rule of PDF established by the government. However, it still remains the specific characteristics of pesantren, including its local content, classroom management, as well as the learning strategy used such as bandongan and sorogan. The result of this study can be used as reference for other pesantren applying PDF and to facilitate some pesantren which have applied PDF in spreading its existence among Indonesian people, so that their graduates can be accepted in higher education institution as well as other formal institutions.

Abstract

READINESS OF VOCATIONAL SCHOOL IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE COMPETENCE TEST EXPERTISE IN THE FRAMEWORK OF NATIONAL EXAMINATIONCompetency examination in Vocational School national examination started in 2006/2007 needs researches, one of them is those regarding to the readiness and implementation in the field. It is based on the reality that the schools' conditions are vary, from locations, internal conditions, and stakeholders' supports. This reasearch's objective is to describe vocational schools' readiness on test location, internal accessors and examiners, infrastructures (rooms, materials, tools), time of implementation, length of time for competency examination, procedures, and mechanism. The discussion of those are divided into two locations, namely province and regency.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pembelajaran sains bermuatan permainan inovatif efektif untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan sains anak usia 5-6 tahun. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan tes, observasi dan dokumentasi.Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perubahan rata-rata  kelas kontrol sebelum pembelajaran sebesar 5 menjadi 6,8 dan perubahan rata-rata kelas eksperimen sebelum pembelajaran sebesar 5,5 menjadi 12,1 setelah pembelajaran. Data dianalisis  menggunakan uji gain dan independent sample t-test. Hasil belajar kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan dengan hasil sebesar 0,7 jika dilihat pada kriteria tingkat tingkat hasil N-Gain termasuk dalam kategori tinggi dan untuk kelas kontrol mengalami peningkatan dengan rata-rata sebesar 0,2 sehingga masuk dalam kategori rendah.   Kata kunci: Pengetahuan Sains, Permainan Inovatif, Anak  Usia Dini.

Abstract

Based on initial observation at fourth grade of Plalangan Pubic Primary School 04, through documentation, observation, and interview, it was found that the students? civics learning outcomes were the lowest one. It was caused by lack of appropriate learning media to Civics lesson. Therefore, there is a need of multimedia based learning media by using flash macromedia with cultural material. This research aims to find out effectiveness of multimedia based learning media by using macromedia flash toward Civics learning outcomes at Primary School. This research and development used waterfall development method. The method consists of analysis, design, implementation, test, and maintenance. The findings showed that: learning multimedia by using macromedia flash with cultural material influenced cognitive learning outcomes as proven by differences of students? understanding averages through t-test. It is shown by t count > t table (13.479 > 2.034) and Sig score 0.000 < 0.05 and average of gain score is 0.44 with moderate criterion. The conclusion tells that learning multimedia by using macromedia flash was effective to improve the fourth graders? civics learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan model pembelajaran problem solving SSCS dalam  kompetensi mendiagnosis gangguan pada sistem rem. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode true experimental (pretest–posttest control group design yang didalamnya terdapat dua kelompok yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol yang dipilih secara random). Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah siswa SMK NU Bodeh kelas XI TSM–1 yang berjumlah 32 siswa sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kelas XI TSM–2 yang berjumlah 32 siswa sebagai kelompok kontrol. Untuk menguji hipotesis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji perbedaan dua rata-rata menggunakan uji-t. Hasil uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan rumus t–test menunjukan bahwa kelompok eksperimen yang menggunakan model pembelajaran problem solving SSCS memperoleh nilai rata-rata hasil belajar sebesar 79,53, dengan nilai tertinggi 90, nilai terendah 70 dan standar deviasi 4,97, sedangkan pada kelompok kontrol yang menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung (ceramah) memperoleh nilai rata-rata hasil belajar sebesar 71,56 dengan nilai tertinggi 85, nilai terendah 55 dan standar deviasi 6,65. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada perbedaan hasil belajar antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol.
