Abstract

This study aims to determine the profile of Biology Education, University of Lampung students in preparing worksheets. The research design was simple descriptive with a purposive sampling technique so those 14 students participating in PPL year 2013 which made Biology worksheets taken as subject. Types of data were qualitative such as data conversion worksheets assessment scores, questionnaires, and competency tests. The results showed that students capable enough to make Biology worksheet in terms of format (69.73) and contents (50.45). In terms of format, the composition aspect was categorized enough (49.69), categorized excellent on legibility (92.85) and the categorized good on attractiveness (66.67). In terms of content, categorized either (73.81) in developing appropriate activities and lesson plans, categorized less on elementary Science Process Skills (29.76), and sufficient on advanced Science Process Skills (50,00). Then the students's understanding of the worksheets preparation according to the rules were categorized enough (52.87 and 44.44). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi Universitas Lampung dalam menyusun LKS. Desain penelitian adalah deskriptif sederhana dengan teknik purposive sampling sehingga 14 orang mahasiswa peserta PPL tahun 2013 yang membuat LKS diambil sebagai subjek. Jenis data berupa data kualitatif dari konversi skor penilaian LKS, angket, dan uji kompetensi. Hasil menunjukan mahasiswa berkemampuan cukup dalam membuat LKS Biologi ditinjau dari segi format (69,73) dan isi (50,45). Dari segi format, aspek susunan berkategori cukup (49,69), sangat baik pada keterbacaan (92,85) dan berkategori baik pada kemenarikan (66,67). Dari segi isi, berkategori baik (73,81) dalam menyusun kegiatan yang sesuai dengan KD dan RPP, kurang untuk Keterampilan Proses Sains dasar (29,76), dan cukup untuk Keterampilan Proses Sains lanjut (50,00). Pemahaman mahasiswa mengenai penyusunan LKS sesuai kaidah berkategori cukup (52,87 dan 44,44). Kata kunci : kemampuan, LKS biologi, mahasiswa pendidikan biologi

Abstract

The research was intended to provide an overview of the actual conditions of local wisdom in the West Coast, then inserted to the books of learners. The design used in this research was simple descriptive. Data collecting technique using triagulation that was questionnaire to obtain the attractiveness books from 31 students, interviews of community leaders in West Coast about repong damar, interview of IV grade teachers about implementation of local wisdom in school, literature search about broad repong damar and field notes to obtain supporting information in the field. Data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive technique. The overall exposure sourced from the data obtained describe the local wisdom and the importance of preservation efforts of local wisdom in West Coast. The results of the book's attractiveness test criteria was 97.1% "interesting". Penelitian ditujukan untuk memberikan gambaran kondisi yang sebenarnya tentang kearifan lokal di Pesisir Barat, selanjutnya disisipkan dalam buku peserta didik. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif sederhana. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan triagulasi data yaitu angket untuk memperoleh data kemenarikan buku dari 31 peserta didik, wawancara tokoh masyarakat tentang repong damar, wawancara guru kelas IV tentang implementasi kearifan lokal di sekolah, studi literatur mengenai repong damar, dan catatan lapangan untuk memperoleh informasi pendukung di lapangan. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik deskriptif kualitatif. Pemaparan secara menyeluruh yang bersumber dari data yang diperoleh sehingga mengambarkan kearifan lokal serta pentingnya upaya pelestarian kearifan lokal di Pesisir Barat. Hasil uji kemenarikan buku peserta didik berkriteria “menarik” 97,1%.Kata kunci: buku peserta didik, IPA, kearifan lokal, pelestarian lingkungan

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the different self-efficacy between males and females students and the correlation between self-efficacy based on gender with sciences learning outcomes. This study used descriptive correlational design. The samples were VIIIgrade students at SMP in Labuhan Ratu Region amounted of 279 students who were selected trough purposive sampling technique. Data of students self-efficacy were obtained from self-efficacy scale and data of sciences learning outcomes were obtained from test. The result data were analyzed using independent sample t-test and Pearson Product Moment. The result of t-test showed that the difference on self-efficacy between males and females students were not significant. The result of correlation test showed that there was positive and significant relationship between self-efficacy based on gender with sciences learning outcomes. Coefficient correlation indicated weak relationship between self-efficacy and sciences learning outcomes. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan perbedaan self-efficacy antara siswa laki-laki dengan perempuan serta hubungan antara self-efficacy berdasarkan gender dengan hasil belajar IPA. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain deskriptif korelasional. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP di Kecamatan Labuhan Ratu yang berjumlah 279 dan dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data self-efficacy siswa diperoleh melalui skala self-efficacy dan data hasil belajar IPA diperoleh melalui tes. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan uji-t sampel independen dan uji Pearson Product Moment. Hasil uji-t menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang tidak signifikan antara self-efficacy yang dimiliki siswa laki-laki dengan perempuan. Hasil uji korelasi menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara self-efficacy berdasarkan gender dengan hasil belajar IPA. Adapun nilai koefisien yang dihasilkan pada uji korelasi mengindikasikan hubungan yang rendah antara self-efficacy berdasarkan gender dengan hasil belajar IPA. Kata kunci: gender, hasil belajar IPA, self-efficacy

Abstract

This study was aimed to determine the effect of media use image through the discovery method of KPS. This study design was pretest-posttest non equivalent group. Samples were VIID and VIIG, chosen by cluster random sampling. This research data the form of quantitative which obtained from the average value of test were analyzed by using t-test and U-test. The qualitative data which obtained from the observation sheet of learning activities and questionnaire responses of students were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the use of media images through the discovery method was able to improve the students KPS, it was shown at the value of (N-gain 64.39) experimental class higher and significantly different than the control classes (N-gain19.90). Learning activities of the students was also improved with average 77.78 of the experimental class and 62.79 in the control class. Most students responded positively to media images through the use of discovery methods. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media gembar melalui metode discovery terhadap KPS. Desain penelitian pretest-posttest kelompok nonequivalent. Sampel penelitian siswa kelas VIID dan VIIG, dipilih secara cluster random sampling. Data penelitian berupa data kuantitatif yang diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji-U. data kualitatif yang diperoleh dari lembar observasi aktivitas belajar dan angket tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan media gambar melalui metode discovery dapat meningkatkan KPS siswa, terlihat pada nilai (N-gain 64,39) kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dan berbeda nyata dibandingkan kelas kontrol (N-gain 19,90). Aktivitas belajar siswa juga meningkat dengan rata-rata 77,78 kelas eksperimen dan 62,79 pada kelas kontrol. Sebagian besar siswa memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penggunaan media gambar melalui metode discovery. Kata kunci : aktivitas siswa, keterampilan proses sains, media gambar, metode discovery

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of using cooperatif learning model Snowball Throwing on the activity and the students mastery of the material. This study design was pretest-postest non equivalent group. Samples were X1 and X2 selected by cluster random sampling. This data were quantitative and qualitative. Qualitative data in the form of descriptions of activities and students questionare responses. Quantitative data obtained from the average value of test were analyzed using t-test or U test. The results showed that activities discussion, argument, ask the questions, answer the questions, and make inferences were improved. Material mastery of students was also improve with average N-gain 39,35. Thus, it could be concluded that the use Snowball Throwing model give influence in increasing the activity and material mastery of students. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Snowball Throwing terhadap aktivitas dan penguasaan materi siswa. Desain penelitian adalah pretes postes kelompok tak ekuivalen.  Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas X1 dan X2 yang dipilih secara cluster random sampling.  Data penelitian berupa data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Data kualitatif berupa deskripsi aktivitas belajar siswa. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t atau uji U. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas berdiskusi, berpendapat, bertanya, menjawab pertanyaan, dan membuat kesimpulan mengalami peningkatan. Penguasaan materi siswa juga mengalami peningkatan, dengan rata-rata nilai N-gain 39,35. Dengan demikian,  pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Snowball Throwing dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar dan penguasaan materi. Kata kunci: aktivitas siswa, penguasaan materi, snowball throwing

Abstract

The aims of this research was to figure out the effect of using JFL through PBL on Science Process Skill. The design was pretest-posttest non-equivalent group. The samples were X MIA3 and X MIA5 SHS 1 Gadingrejo, chosen by purposive sampling. The quantitative data were obtained from the average score of the test analyzed by t-test and U-test. The qualitative data were Science Process Skill data obtained from the observation sheet and the students questionnaire responses which were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that JFL through PBL could increased the studentss science process skill. It could be seen from the average of N-gain (62.06) in the experiment class which was higher and different significantly than control class (49.99). The result of the average percentage of Science Process Skill observation had a high criteria (79.79%) and most of the students (98%) responded positively to the use JFL through PBL.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan JFL melalui PBL terhadap KPS. Desain penelitian pretest-postest kelompok tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian siswa kelas X MIA3 dan X MIA5 SMA N 1 Gadingrejo dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data penelitian berupa data kuantitatif yang diperoleh dari nilai rata-rata tes yang dianalisis dengan uji-t dan uji-U. Data kualitatif berupa data KPS yang diperoleh dari lembar observasi dan angket yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan JFL melalui PBL dapat meningkatkan KPS siswa. Terlihat pada rata-rata N-gain kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi (62,06) berbeda signifikan dengan kontrol (49,99). Hasil rata-rata persentase observasi KPS memiliki kriteria tinggi (79,79%) dan sebagian besar siswa (98%) memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penggunaan JFL melalui PBL.Kata kunci : joyful learning, KPS, PBL, perubahan lingkungan

Abstract

This research was aimed to know the effect of realia media towards learning achievement and students learning activities. This research design was pretest-postest equivalent group. Samples were XM1 and XM2 that was chosen by purposive sampling. The quantitative data were students cognitive learning outcomes that were obtained from the average value pretest, postest, and gain analyzed using U test. The qualitative data were of students learning activities responses that were analyzed descriptively. The result showed that the real media can improved significantly students learning achievement that proof by gain average as 0.329. Gain average of C1 indicator was 0.034, C2 indicator was 0.019 and C4 indicator was 0,016. Learning activities of students in the experimental class such as observation, describe specimen, presentation earned, cooperate and ask questions an average 64.73% with medium criteria. Thus, learning using real media that significant influence to improved students learning achievement and learning activities in the plants world.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media realia terhadap penguasaan materi dan aktivitas belajar siswa. Desain penelitian adalah pretes-postes kelompok ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian ini kelas XM1 dan XM2 yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data kuantitatif berupa hasil belajar kognitif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai pretes, postes, dan gain yang dianalisis menggunakan uji U. Data kualitatif berupa aktivitas yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan media realia meningkatkan secara signifikan hasil belajar dengan rata-rata gain sebesar 0,329. Rata-rata gain pada indikator C1 0,034, indikator C2 sebesar 0,019 dan indikator C4 sebesar 0,016. Aktivitas belajar siswa pada kelas eksperimen seperti melakukan pengamatan, menggambarkan spesimen, presentasi kelompok, bekerjasama dalam tim, dan bertanya memperoleh rata-rata 64,73% dengan kriteria cukup. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran menggunakan media realia berpengaruh signifikan dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa pada materi pokok dunia tumbuhan.Kata kunci : dunia tumbuhan, media realia, penguasaan materi

Abstract

This study aims to describe the differences of self-efficacy between male and female students and the relationship of science learning outcomes of junior high school students in Labuhan Ratu District. The samples were 238 of 789 students with the number of male and female each 119 students selected by purposive sampling technique. This research was a descriptive study that describes the situation in a qualitative narrative. The instrument was the scale of self-efficacy and the test of learning outcomes of science. Analysis of differences in male and female self-efficacy using the Mann-Whitney test while the relationship between gender-based self-efficacy and learning outcomes of science using the Kendalls Tau test. The results showed that there was no significant differences in self-efficacy between male and female. There was a relationship between self-efficacy and learning outcomes in male and female with "low" criteria. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan perbedaan self-efficacy antara siswa laki-laki dengan perempuan serta hubungannya dengan hasil belajar IPA siswa  SMP se-Kecamatan Labuhan Ratu. Sampel berjumlah 238 dari 789 siswa dengan jumlah siswa laki-laki dan perempuan masing-masing 119 siswa yang dipilih menggunakan purposive sampling. Penelitian merupakan penelitian deskriptif yang menggambarkan keadaan secara naratif kualitatif. Instrumen penelitian adalah skala self-efficacy dan tes hasil belajar IPA. Analisis perbedaan self-efficacy laki-laki dan perempuan menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney sedangkan hubungan antara self-efficacy berdasarkan gender dengan hasil belajar IPA menggunakan uji Kendalls Tau. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan self-efficacy antara laki-laki dan perempuan. Terdapat hubungan antara self-efficacy dengan hasil belajar pada laki-laki dan perempuan dengan kriteria “rendah”.                                                                                       Kata kunci: gender, hasil belajar, self-efficacy

Abstract

This research aimed to know the influence of using brochure on conceptualunderstanding and student activity. Samples were X1 and X2 from SMAMuhammadiyah 1 Bandar Lampung 2013/2014 academic year that was choosen by purposive sampling. The research design was pretest-postest non equivalent. Quantitative data was obtained from the average value of pretest, posttest, and N-gain that were analyzed using test. Qualitative data students were obtained from activity and questionnaire. The result showed N-gain average of experiments class had medium category of 5,76. The result of students learning activities were in average of high criteria. Percentage of aspects of group work in solving the problems (79%); searching the information (74%); writing the alternative opinion idea from the solutions of problems (83%) presented the results of the discussion (89%), and asking questions (57%). Most of the students (89%) gave positive response to brocure.Thus, using brochure for learning was effective in improving student activity and conceptual understanding of environment. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan brosur terhadap penguasaan materi dan aktivitas belajar siswa. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas X1 dan X2 SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Desain penelitian adalah pretes postes tak ekuivalen. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari nilai pretes,postes dan N-gain yang dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan uji t Data kualitatif adalah aktivitas dan angket tanggapan siswa. Hasil penelitian yaitu Rata-rata N-gain pada kelas ekperimen 5,76 (sedang). Pada aspek berkerja sama dalam memecahkan masalah (79%); mencari informasi (74%); menuliskan pendapat/ide alternatif solusi dari masalah (83%);mempresentasikan hasil diskusi (89%); dan mengajukan pertanyaan (57%) sebagian besar siswa (89%) memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap brosur. 'Sehingga pembelajaran menggunakan brosur efektif untuk meningkatkan penguasaan materi dan aktivitas siswa pada materi pokok lingkungan. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of PBL on student collaboration and high-order thinking (HOT) skills. This study was a quasi-experimental with non-equivalent pretest-posttest design. The sample of this study were students of Senior High School 3 Bandar Lampung X MIA 2 (experimental group) and X MIA 3 (control group) taken used purposive sampling technique. The collaboration skill data obtained from the collaboration skill observation sheet descriptically analysed. The HOTS data were in the form of pretest-posttest scores statistically analyze used the t-test at 5% confidence level. The results showed that the collaboration skills of the experimental group and the control group were categorized as "good" while the high-order thinking skills of the experimental group is "moderate" and the control group is "low". So it can be concluded that the use of  PBL influences the improvement of collaboration skills and a significant increase in student's HOT skills. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh PBL terhadap keterampilan kolaborasi dan berpikir tingkat tinggi peserta didik. Penelitian ini merupakan eksperimental semu dengan desain pretes-postes kelompok non-ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah peserta didik SMAN 3 Bandar Lampung kelas X MIA 2 (kelompok eksperimen) dan X MIA 3 (kelompok kontrol) diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data keterampilan kolaborasi peserta didik diperoleh dari lembar observasi keterampilan kolaborasi yang dianalis secara deskriptif. Data keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi diperoleh dari nilai pretes dan postes yang dianalisis statistik menggunakan uji-t dengan taraf kepercayaan 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan kolaborasi kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol berkriteria “baik” sedangkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi peserta didik kelompok eksperimen berkriteria “sedang” dan kelompok kontrol berkriteria “rendah”. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan PBL berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan keterampilan kolaborasi dan peningkatan signifikan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi peserta didik Kata kunci: berpikir tingkat tinggi, kolaborasi, PBL
