Abstract

Abstract: Teachers need a strategy in their instructional process to assist them develop both students’ skills and characters. KWL is one of alternative reading strategies that can be used by teachers to enhance the students’ reading skills characters. This study aimed at investigating the influence of KWL toward students’ reading comprehension achievement and five aspects of characters; (1) Motivating Oneself, (2) Self awareness, (3) Managing Emotion, (4) Emphaty, and (5) Social Skill. Seventy four seventh graders were selected as the sample and equally divided into experimental (N=37) and control groups (N=37), in which only the experimental group was given the treatment using the strategy. However, both groups were tested before and after the treatment. The results of paired sample t-test showed that there were significant improvement in students’ reading comprehension achievement. In addition, the experimental group outperformed the control group with a significant mean difference of 10.16 (p=.000) on reading comprehension. Furthermore, the result of modus showed improvement on  students’ characters and there were also found difference in each aspects of characters after they were taught by using KWL strategy. Hence, based on the results of this study, KWL strategy was effective to enhance the students’ reading comprehension and characters. Abstract

Abstract: This research is a classroom action research (CAR) is done with the aim to improve learning outcomes IPS third grade students of SDN 013 Bagan Hulu. Research motivated by low yields social studies students is 65.00 by the number of students as many as 20 people. This study aims to improve learning outcomes IPS third grade students of SDN 013 Bagan Hulu to implement cooperative learning model type STAD. This study was conducted using research instrument in the form of observation sheets, and sheets achievement test. Based on the results of data analysis after the study was conducted by two cycles, it is known that the use of cooperative learning model STAD teacher can increase the activity of 79.17 in the first cycle of the meeting rose to 95.83 at the end of the cycle two. Furthermore kativitas students also increased from 66.67 in the first meeting of the cycle, increasing to 95.83 in cycle two. Increased activity was also accompanied by an increase in student learning outcomes IPS students. The average score of student learning outcomes 61.11 thereafter act as much as two cycles also increased to 94.44. Thus the implementation of cooperative learning model type of STD can improve learning outcomes by 0.54%. These research findings could prove the hypothesis of the research application STAD type of cooperative learning model can improve learning outcomes IPS class III SDN 013 Bagan Hulu. This means that the research hypothesis is accepted.Key Words ; STAD Cooperative, Learning Outcomes IPS

Abstract

Abstrack : This research at performs since its low usufruct IPS'S studying III. class student SDN 008 Rejosari that haven't reached KKM (Minimum thoroughness criterion) one that is established which is 65. This appears from peneletian's startup data of 13 students which reach points according to KKM as much 6 students (46%), meanwhile student that haven't reached KKM'S point as much 7 students (54%). Base about problem research do that action brazes with learnings model implement Numbered Head Together (NHT) one that intent to increase IPS'S studying result III. class student SDN 008 Rejosari School Years 2014 / 2015. This research is executed deep two cycles, whereabouts on each cycle it consisting of two-time appointment gazes to show face and once daily dry run. With be applied Model Learning Numbered Head Together (NHT), therefore gets to increase IPS'S studying result III. class student SD Country 008 Rejosari on kehiatan's material merchant and money and its utility. It can at see of acquired studying result student on base score which is with thoroughness percentage 46%, with average 61,15, worked up on i. cycle with thoroughness percentage 69,23% by average 67,3. Worked up again on cycle II.which is with thoroughness percentage 92,3% by average 77,3. On Activity learns first cycle with percentage average 70,83% worked up as 89,58% on second cycle. Student activity on first cycle with percentage average 74,99% worked up as 87,5% on second cycle. Of acquired data as above as gets to be known that pass through learning model Implement Numbered Head Together(NHT) can increase IPS'S studying result III. class student SDN 008 Rejosari.Key word: Numbered Head Together, IPS'S Learned result

Abstract

Each of Indonesian journalists must uphold the Code of Journalistic Ethics in carrying out any work in the field of journalism . However, this time not all Indonesian journalists make journalism ethics as a " crown " in the works . A reliable and professional journalists should have the following three criteria . First , master the skills of journalism . Second , control of field coverage. Third , understand and adhere to journalistic ethics .For that purpose made a post this time to find out what things are often a problem in the world of journalism ethics , so that could be a picture of good press and imaging and uphold the rules of the world press .The world press is also closely related to the world of communication and now it often becomes a problem due to a communication error is in disseminating information to the public , so the performance issues of the press in this case journalists interesting to do in-depth study on the ethics of their work to avoid errors chaos in the world of communication or communication that result in harm to others .The method used Relating to this study , the approach used in this study is using a qualitative approach using sychronization source of primary data and secondary data sources . Sources of primary data obtained through interviews to journalists as press personnel who perform journalistic tasks and conduct field observations , while secondary data sources which include regulations , code of conduct , official documents . books and reports the results of research in the form of secondary data material in this study .The results of this scientific journals can be proved with some interviews to journalists in Palangkaraya who admits that they can not work and understand 100 percent implementation of the code of journalistic ethics , particularly the clauses relating to the independence of the press to do the job .The conclusion in the press itself still needs some improvement in addition to providing training to journalists but also strengthen the structure and capabilities of the institution itself in the Indonesian press . Key Word : Obedience, Ethic Code, Journalism

Abstract

Breast cancer is the biggest problem for women around the world and causes a major death for patients with breast cancer. Breast cancer and its treatment or side effects of treatment are often associated with a decrease in the quality of life of breast cancer patients. In Indonesia, the prevalence of cancer / tumor is quite high at 1.4 per 1000 population, or about 330,000 people. The purpose of this study was to determine the quality of life of breast cancer patients in the edelweiss room of Ulin Banjarmasin Public Hospital. This research is a descriptive non-experimental research. The study was conducted at Ulin Banjarmasin Hospital in the period of July-August 2018. The sampling method used was consecutive sampling. The study population was 85 breast cancer patients and the study sample was all of the population because the entire population met the inclusion criteria. The instrument used was the European Quality Of Life - 5 Dimension questionnaire and the EQ-5D Index Calculator by using the Japanese state to calculate the score for each item of question on the EQ-5D-3L questionnaire. The result of this research is the description of the quality of life in 85 research respondents as much as 57.7% had a good quality of life and as much as 42.3% had poor quality of life.

Abstract

Perkembangan penduduk, serta pembangunan dewasa ini, telah banyak mengubah wajah dan penampilan Samarinda bagian seberang yaitu Kecamatan Samarinda Seberang dan Palaran. Padahal Samarinda sudah memiliki rencana tata ruang kota 2013-2033 yang di dalamnya terdapat kawasan perlindungan setempat. Ruang terbuka hijau dan hutan kota merupakan salah satu elemen dari kawaan perlindungan setempat. Namun fakta lapangan memperlihatkan ruang terbuka hijau dan hutan kota di Kecamatan Samarinda Seberang dan Palaran mengalami perubahan fungsi. Untuk mengidentifikasi tutupan hutannya, dalam penelitian ini dilakukan analisa klorofil menggunakan metode NDVI pada citra Landsat tahun 2006 dan 2014. Selanjutnya hasil analisa NDVI diklasifikasi mengunakan metode isodata. Pengecekan lapang dilakukan untuk memastikan kebenaran hasil analisa citra. Pengecekan lapang dilakukan pada titik sampel yang telah dipilih. Hasil pengecekan lapang divalidasi lagi menggunakan uji ketepatan intepretasi. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan hutan kota di Kecamatan Samarinda Seberang dan Palaran sudah banyak terjamah oleh aktivitas manusia. Aktivitas tersebut diantaranya aktivitas perkebunan, pemukiman dan pembersihan lahan. Untuk menampilkan peta sudah dilakukan berbasis web. Hanya web yang dikembangkan belum begitu interaktif. Abstract

Hakikat sains terdiri atas tiga aspek yaitu sains sebagai produk, proses, dan sikap ilmiah. Dalam pembelajaran IPA masih kurangnya penanaman nilai sikap ilmiah yang berakibat pada peroleh hakikat sains yang tidak utuh dan kurangnya terbentuk sikap ilmiah siswa. Oleh karena itu, proses belajar mengajar harus menggunakan cara dan metode yang sesuai dalam mencapai tujuan pembelalajaran, khususnya pada pembelajaran IPA. Hal tersebut bisa dilakukan dengan pembelajaran IPA berbasis konstruktivisme yang secara langsung dapat membuat siswa secara aktif mengkonstruksi pengetahuan sendiri, sehingga dapat mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir siswa, meningkatkan penguasaan materi pembelajaran dan dapat menumbuhkan sikap ilmiah yang secara tidak langsung akan mempengaruhi sikap siswa dalam memecahkan masalah yang ada di lingkungan sekitar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan sikap ilmiah pada siswa kelas V Madrasah Ibtidayah Negeri Sinar Islam. Terdapat peningkatan sebanyak 7,7 % dari siklus 1 ke siklus2. Sikap ilmiah sangat bermakna dalam interaksi sosial, ilmu pengatahuan dan teknologi. Apabila sikap ilmiah telah terbentuk dalam diri siswa maka akan terwujudlah suri tauladan yang baik bagi peserta didik, baik dalam melaksanakan penyelidikan atau berinteraksi dengan masyarakat. Secara tidak langsung sikap ilmiah dalam proses pembelajaran IPA dapat menyelesaikan masalah-masalah moralitas anak bangsa ini.

Abstract

Abstract: The effect style leadership of the chairman school and achievement motivation toward educational services in senior high school (SMA) at Sub-District Nanga Pinoh, Melawi West Kalimantan. Thesis Magister of education administration at Postgraduate of Muhammadiyah University Prof. DR. HAMKA. Jakarta. 2010. Hypothesis of this research which examined as follwing: (1) there is a direct effect positive toward the style leadership of the chairman school to educational services (2) there is a direct effect positive achievement of motivation teacher toward the educational services (3) there is a direct positive to the style leadership of the chairman school toward the achievement of motivation teacher. The result of this research concluded: first, there is a direct and significant of the style leadership of the chairman school (X1) to educational services (X3) with regression was seen X3 = 60,7099 + 0,2216X1, determination coefficient 0,2497 or 24,97%, and correlatation coefficient (r13) on ? = 0,05 second, there is a direct influence and significant achievement of motivation teacher (X2) to educational services (X3) with the equality regression is seen 3 = 12478,1073 + 0,529 X2 determination coefficient 0,23338 or 23,338%, and coefficiant of correlatation (r23) 0,4831 on ? = 0,05, third, there is a direct influence and significient of style leadership of the chairman school (X1) to achievement motivation (X2) with regression is see 2 = 12478,1073 + 0,529X1, determination correction 0,9920 or 99,20% and correlation coefficient (r12) o,996 on ? = 0,05.Key Word: style leadership of the chairman school, achievement motivation, educational servicesAbstrak: Instrumen yang digunakan untuk menjaring data variabel gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, motivasi berprestasi guru dan layanan pendidikan adalah angket model skala likert. Ebelum dilakukan penelitian dilakukan uji coba instrumen terhadap 30 orang guru. Keterandalan instrumen dihitung dengan metode alpha cronbach, dengan hasil uji coba untuk variable tersebut yaitu (a) layanan pendidikan telah diperoleh nilai reliability r= 0,827, (b) gaya kepemimpinan kepala Sekolah memiliki nilai reliabilitas r= 0,924 dan Motivasi Berprestasi Guru memiliki nilai reliabilitas r= 0,917 sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa seluruh instrument dinyatakan sangat reliable, kemudian data di analisis dengan menggunakan teknik korelasi dan regresi. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa: pertama, terdapat pengaruh langsung dan signifikan Gaya Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah (X1) Terdapat Layanan Pendidikan (X3) dengan persamaan regresi terlihat 3 = 60,7099 + 0,2216X1, koefisien determinasi sebesar 0,2497 atau 24,97%, dan koefisien korelasi (r13) sebesar 0,499 pada taraf ? = 0,05, kedua terdapat pengaruh langsung dan signifikan Motivasi Berprestasi Guru (X2) Terhadap Layanan Pendidikan (X3) dengan persamaan regresi terlihat 3 = 12478,1073 + 0,529X2, koefisien determinasi sebesar 0,23338 atau 23,338%, dan koefisien korelasi (r23) sebesar 0,4831 pada taraf ? = 0,05, ketiga terdapat pengaruh langsung dan signifikan Gaya Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah (X1) terhadap Motivasi Berprestasi Guru (X2) dengan persamaan regresi terlihat 2 = 14,006 + 0,632X1 koefisien determinasi sebesar 0,9920 atau 99,20% dan koefisien korelasi (r12) sebesar 0,996 pada taraf ? = 0,05.Kata Kunci: gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, motivasi berprestasi guru, layanan pendidikan

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengupayakan peningkatkan hasil belajar pada mata pelajaran matematika, menambah pengalaman dan pengetahuan yang baru terhadap proses pembelajaran matematika melalui kegiatan pembuatan mainan dari kertas. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah bahwa masih memerlukan peningkatan terhadap hasil belajar matematika konsep bangun datar. Cara mengatasi pemasalahan tersebut dilakukan oleh peneliti adalah pembelajaran melalui kegiatan pembuatan mainan dari kertas yang diberikan kepada 15 orang siswa kelas V. Pembelajaran diberikan dengan memanfaatkan kertas dibuat mainan. Siswa terlibat secara langsung terhadap pembuatan obyek belajar yakni mainan. Kegiatan pembuatan mainan terdiri dari tiga tahapan yakni membuat mainan, menguji mainan, dan mengamati mainan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah adanya peningkatan hasil belajar yang ditunjukkan pada aspek pengetahuan yakni rata-rata 4,6, aspek keterampilan yakni rata-rata 17,21, dan aspek sikap yakni rata-rata 19,62. Bahwa ternyata melalui kegiatan pembuatan mainan dari kertas memiliki konstribuasi besar yakni sebesar 97,15% terhadap aspek pengetahuan, 95,8% terhadap aspek keterampilan, dan sebesar 95,8% terhadap aspek sikap.Kata Kunci: Hasil Belajar Matematika, Pemahaman Konsep, Kegiatan Pembuatan Mainan dari Kertas.

Abstract

21st century learning requires the world of education to produce graduates who have creativity, who encourage creative and collaborative processes in solving problems. The purpose of this study was to obtain dimensional data and indicators of creativity skills in students, teachers and school principals. This research method is Mixed Method, with Exploratory Sequential Design model. The conclusions of this study are: (1) The number and names of the dimensions remain the same, namely there are 5 (five) with 21 (twenty one) indicators. (2) There is a change in the number and name of the indicator. The number of indicators for each dimension are: (a) Dimensions of creative thinking ability, there are 4 (four) indicators; (b) Dimensions of working creatively with other people have 3 (three) indicators; (c) There are 6 (six) indicators to interpret a failure; (d) Dimensions of implementing idea innovation into innovation for success, there are 5 (five) indicators; (e) Dimensions of thinking outside the habit there are 3 indicators. Suggestion: Research can be followed up by using dimensions and indicators of 21st century learning creativity skills in students and teachers, with various sample characteristics. The results of the assessment can be used to measure the level of existing creativity skills.
