Abstract

Abstract One purpose of Students to learn was to have good communication skills. In fact, some students have been anxiety in communicating. The research objective is to identify differences of student communications anxiety before and after group guidance service treatment. The research was using quantitative method that pre-experiment design. The discovering of student communications anxiety this research are: 1) before group guidance treatment was 76.76%. 2) after group guidance treatment was 49.78%. 3) there was a tendency that anxiety levels in communication after use group guidance was reduced.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to reveal the locus of control with the relation to the student’s cheating behavior in grade 10  of high shcool  Padang Ganting. This research use a descriptive correlational method. The research is conducted on students in grade 10 high school  Padang Ganting 2011-2012.as many as 439 from the populations, samples were taken by using a technique kurtosis sumpling random sample that produce 148 person. The instrument that used in this research is the locus of control scale by Rotter and cheating behavior questionnaire with likert scale and the analyzed using pearson correlation techniques.The research revealed that generally the students have an external locus of control and cheating behavior enough category. Besides, it also found a negative correlation between the score of locus of control and cheating behavior. The implication of this research is an internal locus of control is needed to reduce cheating behavior.

Abstract

Communication skills are essential for students, where is communication skills is an abilityfor extending message exactly to others and students be able to perform in front of public. Infact thatthere is a student who tends to have less verbal, fail to express thoughts and ideas in his mind, getanxious on public speaking, feel heart beats very fast and perspire just before starting a speech, afeeling of helplessness building up when speaking on public speaking. This study aims to know therelationship between communication skills with public speaking anxiety. Correlation Productmoment analysis showed that there was a significant correlation between skills communication andpublic speaking anxiety r = -0,785 0,01. The result showed that there was a negative correlationalbetween skills communication with public speaking anxiety. It means the higher students skillscommunication then their public speaking anxiety level becomes lower and contrary, lower studentsskills communication then their public speaking anxiety level become higher.

Abstract

This research is purpose to know the effectiveness in improving “layanan informasi” about learning motivation of students. This research used experimental techniques that involving 80 students for group experimental and control group. This research resulted is a significant increase of motivation of learning of students before and after the experiment group given the treatment “layanan informasi” by utilizing the principles of high touch (posttest). Beside that, there are also differences in students learning motivation level control group before and after treatment in the form of “layanan informasi” provided without utilizing the principles of high touch. Increase the motivation of learning in the experimental group is given preferential treatment in the form of “layanan informasi” by utilizing the principles of high touch, that much higher when compared to the control group when its not given in the form of treatment the principles of high touch in “layanan informasi”. The results of this research is recommended for the teacher/counselor at school that can improve the implementation of “layanan informasi” to increase the motivation of students in learning by utilizing the principles of high touch. Abstract

This study departs from the expectation that high or low student learning motivation are influenced by self-efficacy and family environment. The results of the study show that: 1) self-efficacy has a significant effect on learning motivation. 2) self-efficacy and parental support have a significant effect on learning motivation. This research is an associative descriptive study. The sample in this study is the business management students of class X and XI that are registered at Padang Private Vocational School. The findings from this study are expected to be a reference for teachers and other academic communities to be able to pay more attention to students in learning by giving attention to the family environment and paying attention to their learning attitudes and also help increase student motivation in learning so that maximum learning outcomes are obtained

Abstract

The incidence of online game addiction in teenagers of Indonesia is increasing every year. This lead to the impact of teenager’s behavior. This study aims to determine online game addiction level of teenagers in SMPN 13 Padang. The design of this study uses the descriptive analyst. The sample in this study is the students of SMP N 13 Padang with the number of respondent who had online games experience is 88 teenagers by using stratified random sampling. The research instrument used is GASA (Game Addiction Scale Assessment). The results showed that the average online game addiction average score was 63,32 in intermediate level of addiction.  This means that the teenagers of SMPN 13 Padang need to be given an intervention to decrease their addiction level and prevent further negative effect for their productive life. It is suggested that mental nurses can collaborate with the school and the education office to conduct cognitive behavior therapy on an ongoing basis in an effort to prevent online game addiction.

Abstract

Kegiatan pelayanan bimbingan dan konseling di sekolah saat ini dirasakan masih belum optimal, hal ini dikarenakan beberapa guru BK atau Konselor masih belum menguasai teknik konseling kontemporer yang sesuai dengan permasalahan siswa yang semakin kompleks pada era globalisasi saat ini. Abstract

School can be a source of problems that ultimately cause stress to students. This problem arises due to the form of student difficulties in following and receiving lessons that lead to academic stress. The factors that influence academic stress are personality characteristics, one of which is locus of control. For this reason, this study aims to describe student academic stress, locus of control, and how the relationship between locus of control and student academic stress. This type of research is descriptive correlational with a population of 1,085 students. Sampling 292 students using the Slovin formula. The sampling technique used was stratified random sampling. The data collection instrument was a student academic stress questionnaire using a Likert scale and a locus of control inventory using standard techniques that had been adopted from Dr. Marjohan M.Pd., Kons. The data were processed using descriptive statistical analysis techniques and to test the data relationships were analyzed using the Pearson Product Moment formula with the program Statical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) version 20.0. The results of this study reveal that: (1) locus of control has an internal locus of control tendency, (2) students' academic stress is in the moderate category, (3) there is a significant positive relationship between locus of control and academic stress of students at SMA Negeri 7 Padang. with rtabel of 0.113 and rcount of 0.224 with a significant level of 0.000. So the better or the lower the student's locus of control score, the lower the academic stress. Based on the findings of this study, it is expected that the counseling teacher or counselor can provide assistance in the form of counseling guidance services.

Abstract

Pernikahan menjadi salah satu impian yang ingin diwujudkan oleh individu dalam kehidupannya. Pernikahan dapat berlangsung jika telah terpenuhinya ketentuan atau persyaratan dalam mengajukan permohonan pernikahan. Salah satu persyaratan tersebut adalah sudah tercukupinya batasan umur, yaitu minimal berusia 19 tahun. Namun di masyarakat, masih adanya pernikahan anak di bawah umur. Banyak faktor yang menjadi alasan berlangsungnya pernikahan itu. Salah satunya adalah tuntutan dari orangtua untuk segera menikah dikarenakan lingkungan sekitarnya juga melakukan hal demikian. Sehingga jika tidak melakukan hal seperti itu, maka akan menjadi perbincangan di lingkungannya tersebut. Artikel ini membahas tentang pelayanan konseling yang dapat digunakan dalam mencegah pernikahan usia dini dengan menggunakan metode studi kepustakaan.

Abstract

Truancy behavior is a form of undiscipline or student violation of school rules of conduct which will harm themselves and others such as leaving behind subject matter.In today's world, the phenomenon of truancy that occurs in the field is abundant. Based on observations and interviews that have been conducted with the school and the students themselves, truancy behavior is based on two factors, namely internal factors such as physical and psychological conditions, the second is external factors such as family and economy, society, and school. Therefore, the problem that will be examined in this research is, "Truancy Behavior in terms of Causative Factors at SMPN 13 Padang". This type of research is a descriptive study using quantitative methods. The subjects in this study were 40 students of class VIII and IX 2020/2021 SMPN 13 Padang, subject taking was done by selecting respondents who were sampled based on certain characteristics. Collecting data using a questionnaire about truancy behavior in terms of the factors that cause students in class VIII and IX at SMPN 13 Padang Likert scale model. The results showed that: Internal factors, namely (1) Physical conditions affect students not to come to school. (2) Psychological conditions influence students not to come to school. External factors, namely (1) family and economic conditions ((a) Family conditions influence students not to come to school. (b) Economic conditions affect students not to come to school). (2) Community conditions influence students not to come to school. (3) School conditions influence students not to come to school. Based on the findings of this study, it is hoped that counseling teachers can provide counseling guidance services in accordance with the problems faced by students to minimize truancy.
