AbstractThis research aimed to identify the profile of a student's academic skills through guided inquiry-based lab work on the concept of the respiratory system in the 11th grade students of SMAN 3 Serang. The methodologhy of this research is descriptive. The population of this research is students of 11th grade IPA SMAN 3 Serang of the school year 2014/2015 and the sample of the research is 11th grade IPA 7th which obtained by simple random sampling technique. Data was obtained using test description. The results of this research showed that the average value of academic skills 11th grade IPA 7th of SMAN 3 Serang by 77, 7 (good categories), which consists of four aspects: aspects of identifying variables and describing relationship among them (76.5), aspects of formulating hypotheses (75.5), aspects of designing the research (78.4) and aspects of conducting research (80.4) were included in good categories.Keywords: academic skills, guided inquiry-based lab work, respiratory system.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil kecakapan akademik siswa melalui praktikum berbasis inkuiri terbimbing pada konsep sistem pernapasan manusia di kelas XI SMA Negeri 3 Kota Serang. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 3 Kota Serang tahun ajaran 2014/2015 dan sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas XI IPA 7 yang diambil dengan teknik simple random sampling. Data diperoleh dengan menggunakan tes uraian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata kecakapan akademik siswa kelas XI IPA 7 SMA Negeri 3 Kota Serang sebesar 77, 7 (kategori baik), yang terdiri dari empat aspek yaitu aspek mengidentifikasi variabel dan menghubungkan antara satu dengan yang lainnya (76,5), aspek merumuskan hipotesis (75,5), aspek merancang penelitian (78,4) dan aspek melaksanakan penelitian (80,4) yang termasuk ke dalam kategori baik.Kata kunci: kecakapan akademik, praktikum berbasis inkuiri terbimbing, sistem pernapasan

AbstractThe aim of this study was to determine the influence of guided inquiry learning model toward the improvement of students’s scientific literacy in integrated science learning on environmental conservation concept based on local wisdom of Baduy’s society. This study used Research and Development method through pretest and posttest test before and after the guided inquiry learning was done. The objects of this study were 31 students who were following the integrated science lecture in 5th semester which is prospective science teacher. The results showed that there was an improvement in students' scientific literacy after guided inquiry learning (was applied) as shown with a gain value of 0.16 (N-Gain = 0.16) which was included in the medium category. Based on this result, it can be concluded that there is the influence of guided inquiry learning model toward the improvement of students’s scientific literacy in integrated science learning on environmental conservation concept based on local wisdom of Baduy’s society. The aims of this research to determine the implementation and the responses of students about peer assessment in assessing the performance of amphibious dissection practices. This research method was descriptive research with the subject of X1 and X3 grade students in SMAN 1 Ciomas. The result showed that both of the classes have the ability to peer assessment sufficient. Performance capability according to peer assessment and observer in superior class and regular class entered in very good category. Student’s response on peer assessment was good. Students were enthusiastic in doing peer assessment because it directly involved in the assessment. Keywords: Implementation of Practice, Peer Assessment, Performance

This study aimed to determine the level of expert validation of a developed Kahoot!-based cognitive test instrument on corona pandemic theme in the Integrated Science course. The research used the Research and Development (R&D) 3D model. The assessment instrument was developed on a web basis using the Kahoot! platform. The data were analyzed by quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis based on the validity of the questions obtained through expert validation tests. The results showed that the cognitive test instrument developed obtained an average score of 4.57 with a very valid category referring to the distribution of the three aspects of the assessment, where the construction and material aspects are in the very valid category, and the language aspect is included in the valid category. It can be concluded that the instrument made are in accordance with the standards and assessment criteria. So, developed Kahoot!-based cognitive test instrument can be used to assess cognitive aspect of pre-service science teacher on Corona Pandemic Theme.

The need for teachers who are proficient in communicating science face-to-face and making flexible use of various integrative media is increasing along with changes in community communication patterns. High scientific communication skills can support learning with topics closely related to the latest technology, such as biotechnology. This study aims to develop a multimedia-based biotechnology module using Canva as a learning source to increase prospective science teachers in Science Education Department in science communication skills toward Society 5.0 era. As a result, the learning resource developed as a Biotechnology module for S1 Science Education students contains integrated biotechnology content. It presents learning activity guides, quizzes, and assignments that support prospective teachers in developing science communication skills in the classroom. Validation results from material and media experts indicate that this module is valid and feasible to be applied in biotechnology learning for prospective science teachers.

Students apply the science process skills to investigate scientific phenomena like scientists taught by science teachers who are committed and master the material, structure, and scientific methodology. The general physiology course equips animal and plant physiology knowledge in between science process skills as future junior high school science teachers. The course learning tool must attend to the demands. Research-based learning oriented to scientific processes can train science education students' science process skills. This study aimed to define the validity of research-oriented general physiology learning tools developed to support science process skills. Component learning tools are semester learning plans, textbooks, and assessment instruments. The validation of research-oriented general physiology learning tools developed to support science process skills rated 82.80% with a high category. The category shows that learning tools are worthy of empirical testing.
