Abstract

Education is a fundamental foundation for human life. In every educational development, there is always a change in the curriculum. The 2013 curriculum requires HOTS-based learning. In the 2013 curriculum, students must practice thinking skills at the HOTS level by giving HOTS questions. Because, the teacher must provide students with HOTS questions. The observations show that the questions used in Senior High Schools throughout West Pasaman District are still in the low category and do not meet the excellent proportion of questions. Therefore, an indicator analysis research was carried out on Physics questions for SMAN in West Pasaman District. This research includes descriptive research is includes in the qualitative approach. With population of this research is about Midterm Exam and Semester Exam Senior High Schools in 2018/2019 and 2019/2020 in semesters 1 and 2 in West Pasaman District. The research data was taken using an analytical instrument of question presentation and data collection with proof of questions.  From the research has been done, it was found that the questions that have the highest availability of HOTS indicators for Semester Exam between 2018/2019 and 2019/2020 are in class XI and XII Semester Exam in 2018/2019 while in class X, namely in 2019/2020. As for the Midterm Exam in using the HOTS questions, the highest is Senior High School 1 Pasaman, and the lowest is Senior High School 1 Gunung Tuleh. Based on the research that has been done, it is found that these questions do not meet the availability of HOTS questions.

Abstract

This study aims to see the effect of hots oriented job sheets with barcode assistance in online learning to the students' critical and creative thinking on heat and the kinetic theory of gases learning topic in grade xi of 1st harau district senior high school. This type of research is a quasi-experiment with a randomized only control group design. This study involved two classes, the first class as the experimental class using hots-oriented job sheets with barcode assistance and the second class as the control class. Data collection techniques in the form of a written test with a graded essay question model. The assessment is based on observable indicators of critical and creative thinking skills. data analysis using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results showed that there was an increase in the ability to think critically and creatively. the experimental class was 57% and the control class was 12%. Based on the research results it can be concluded that: First, after implementing HOTS-oriented worksheets assisted by barcodes in online learning, there was an increase in students' critical thinking skills and creative skills in the experimental class. Second, there is a significant difference in the improvement of students' critical and creative thinking skills in the experimental class after implementing HOTS-oriented job sheets assisted with barcodes in online learning compared to the control class that did not apply the job sheets. Third, HOTS-oriented worksheets assisted with barcodes are very suitable to be applied in schools with an online learning system because they can improve students' critical thinking skills and creative thinking skills on heat material and the kinetic theory of gases.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the availability of critical thinking skills indicators in physics textbooks for grade X semester one high-school physics used in Padang. This research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The data population in this study was all physics textbooks for Grade X semester 1 used in senior high schools in Padang. The research sample is the three physics textbooks that are most widely used in senior high schools in Padang. The data in this study were taken using critical thinking indicator analysis instruments in physics textbooks for grade X SMA with data collection techniques through documentation studies. Based on the results of the analysis of critical thinking skills indicators in the physics textbook for grade X semester 1, it was found that the physics textbook written by Marthen Kanginan published by Erlangga has the highest level of availability of critical thinking skills indicators with a percentage of 51.6% in the available category. In contrast, physics textbooks written by Aris Prasetyo Nugroho et al. and published by Mediatama have the lowest availability of critical thinking skills indicators with 29.6% with the less available category.

Abstract

In the revised 2013 curriculum, students are required to have skills that fit the challenges of the 21st century. To train these skills is to apply the right model in learning, namely the guided inquiry model. The availability of guided inquiry models in learning can be seen from the lesson plans. All lesson plan at public high schools has not been identified whether they have a guided inquiry model. Therefore, this research aims to find out the availability of guided inquiry models in lesson plan Physics grade XI Semester 1 in high schools. This research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The population data in this study are all lesson plan Physics High School grade XI semester I used by 15 districts in West Sumatra. The samples in this study were lesson plan Physics in high schools grade XI Semester I from 7 schools created by teachers. Based on the research that has been done, the availability of the guided inquiry model in lesson plan physics grade XI semester 1 obtained the results of the analysis that lesson plan with the highest availability category is lesson plan 3 with a percentage of 83.3% in very available category. The lesson plan with the lowest availability is lesson plan 1 and lesson plan 6 with a percentage of 16.67% in the unavailable category. Thus, it can be concluded that the availability of the guided inquiry model in the lesson plans for grade XI semester 1 is categorized as sufficient available.

Abstract

Responding to the 21st century, among others, is necessary to develop creative thinking skills. However, students' creative thinking skills are still low, this is due to the lack of modules that can help students in their knowledge and develop creative thinking skills, including in physics subjects. In general, this researcher is producing a contextual-based physics module that integrates creative thinking skills. In this research, the type used is R&D with ADDIE design. The instruments are in the form of a validity test questionnaire sheet by the lecturer and a practicality test questionnaire sheet by the lecturer. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using statistics with a correlated t-test”. Based on the analyzed data, it shows that the physics module developed has a value of 84.80 and is in the valid category. The use of the module on static fluid and heat temperature values obtains practicality values of 88 and 92, respectively, both of which are in the practical category. The use of the tested module its effectiveness on high school students scored 30.33 at the pretest stage and 60.73 at the posttest stage. This increase indicates that the module is in the effective category.

Abstract

Higher thinking skills must be possessed by students in facing 21st century education. Creative thinking skills are needed in various ways, especially in learning to improve student learning outcomes in class. So that text books are needed as a support for the learning process. For this reason, it is necessary to pay attention to whether the textbooks used are in accordance with the demands of the current 2013 curriculum. One of the curricula in the 2013 curriculum is the use of texts that can facilitate students' creative thinking skills. So it is necessary to analyze physics learning textbooks for class XI semester 2 on static fluid, temperature and heat materials as well as optical devices to find out whether the presentation of physics textbooks for class XI facilitates creative thinking skills. The population in this study were all textbooks for physics class XI published in Indonesia and used in West Sumatra. The samples used in this study were MK-ER textbooks and MR-TS textbooks. The results of the analysis show that the MR-TS physics textbook is a physics textbook with the highest level of availability of creative thinking indicators with a percentage of 38.69% in the less available category. While the MK-ER physical textbook has the lowest level of availability of creative thinking indicators with 37.68% results being in the less available category. This shows that the MR-TS physics textbook and MK-ER physics textbook have not been perfect in facilitating students creative thinking skills.

Abstract

The 2013 curriculum expects students to be directly involved in the learning process in order to achieve ideal learning outcomes.To achieve ideal learning outcomes, a learning strategy that may engage students in the learning process is needed, and one option is a cooperative learning strategy. Research on the cooperative model has been done by many previous researchers with the findings demonstrating that the cooperative learning strategy significantly affects the learning outcomes of understudies. The formulation of the research problem is how the effect of cooperative learning models on learning resultsof Physics and Science in terms of the level of the education unit, subject matter unit, cooperative learning type and research area. A meta-analysis was conducted utilizing a quantitative method to compile some of the findings of earlier investigations. From the data analysis carried out, the results showed that the impact of cooperative learning model on learning results of physics and science based on the level of the education unit is effectively use at the high school level with a summary effect size of 1.084 categorized as very high, based on the subject matter unit it is very influential on the magnetic electric material unit with a summary effect size of 1.516 categorized as very high , based on the type of effective cooperative learning used in the Team Games Tournaments type with a summary effect size of 1.380 categorized as very high and based on the research area it was influential in the South Kalimantan region with a summary effect size of 1.380 categorized as very high.

Abstract

The parameters of a nation's success can be evaluated by how revolution 4.0 education advances science and technology. This is also a new difficulty in the educational realm. In order to prepare for Revolution 4.0, students must have talents as provisions. Contextual learning is one way for helping students enhance their critical and creative thinking skills. Simple harmonic motion is one of the ideas that is relevant to everyday life, hence there are many contextual problems that may be handled. To enhance students' critical and creative thinking skills, the researchers developed interactive learning media focused on the concept of simple harmonic motion. The type of research was research and development (R&D) with ADDIE model. This study examined at interactive learning media oriented at critical and creative thinking skills on the concept of simple harmonic motion. The research goal was to create learning media with critical and creative thinking skills based on the simple harmonic motion concepts. The product validity was reviewed by three physics lecturer at FMIPA UNP. Product validity has an average value of 0.83 in the very valid category.

Abstract

The learning process in the digital era cannot be separated from information technology. Various kinds of applications are offered, ranging from paid to free. This study aims to describe the design of interactive learning media by utilizing a free application, namely Lectora Inspire. This application serves to make it easier for users to create interactive learning media designs. In addition, the Lectora Inspire application can assist teachers in the learning process with attractive and interactive media designs. Appropriate interactive learning media design can produce effectiveness in the learning process. In this case, this research is motivated by the use of learning media used in schools that are not fully interactive and are not in accordance with making good learning designs. For this reason, this study aims to design good interactive learning media by following the proper learning media design rules. The research method used in this research is research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE model namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Research on the development of the ADDIE model is limited to the early stages, namely Analysis and Design. From the results of the design of interactive learning media using the lectora inspire application developed by researchers, it is hoped that it will be useful for students and teachers at school so that students can master learning independently and have fun.
