Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of community empowerment programs in community development as well as mechanism made gapoktan in improving the knowledge of its members and effort to increase coffee plants in the Jambu Distric Jambu Semarang regency. The method of this research is qualitative analysis and doing the test of validity and data using source triangulation. The author uses interviews and observations to obtain preliminary data in the field. Then interview information, then checked with observation, documentation, and questionnaire. Then in obtaining the same data until saturated, with questions asked researchers to various informants. Community empowerment in distric Jambu is conducted throught training and counseling held by the local goverment. Throught these efforts many farmers experience post-harvest improvement after applying the knowledge that can be from training and counseling if the farmer is active in farmer groups. The influence of farmer grop’s role in helping farmers to develop coffe cultivation business has reached 50%.

Abstract

Spatial process is a reciprocal relationship between the spatial context, movement and in a certain time perception. Judging from the process, spatial development physically consists of two developmental processes, namely the development process horizontally and vertically. The process of definitive horizontal spatial development can be formulated as a process of horizontally adding space, while vertical development is the addition of space in the interior by building a multi-story building. Settlers residing in the river boundary play a role in the development of wild settlements that occur in the border of the River Wiso, District Jepara. This study aims to (1) Describe the profile of settler households that live in the wild border Wiso River District Jepara. (2) Knowing the cause of the emergence of squatter settlements in the river border Jepara Sub-district. (3) Analyzing the spatial settlement processes that occurred alongside the river of Jepara Regency in 2001-2010. The research method used is observation, interview, questionnaire, documentation, and interpretation of the image from 2001-2010. Population Research is all settlements located in the border of Wiso River in Saripan, Panggang, and Pengkol. This study used saturated sampling as much as 44 respondents. Data analysis using Descriptive Percentage.

Abstract

The environment which one of learning resources that teachers can be delive the material study. With this methods we hope the students have a direct experience about study. This research is intended to know the students responses about the utilization of the surrounding environment as a learning resource, to know the learning process in MA Tarbiyatul Islamiyah during teaching and learning activities using environment as a source of learning, and to know the influence of environment as a source of geography learning on resource material study in XI class with the improvement of student learning outcomes in MA Tarbiyatul Islamiyah.The research tehnik sampling is purposive sampling, with the sample class XI IPS 1 and Class XI IPS 2. Research data taken with three methods is test, questionnaire, and observation, analyzed by product moment and description. Utilization of the surrounding environment as a learning resource in this study is very good from students. From this research is known source of learning environment can improve student learning result equal to 18,7%. So the environment around as a learning resource can be useful to improve student learning outcomes Tarbiyatul Islamiyah MA on natural resources material study. Sumber belajar yang dimanfaatkan oleh guru untuk menyampaikan materi pembelajaran salah satunya adalah lingkungan sekitar. Sumber belajar ini dipilih karena dapat memberikan pengalaman langsung kepada siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tanggapan siswa mengenai pemanfaatan lingkungan sekitar sebagai sumber belajar, untuk mengetahui proses pembelajaran di MA Tarbiyatul Islamiyah saat kegiatan belajar mengajar menggunakan lingkungan sekiatar sebagai sumber belajar, dan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemanfaatan lingkungan sebagai sumber belajar geografi pada materi sumber daya kelas XI terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa di MA Tarbiyatul Islamiyah. Tehnik pengambilan sampelnya adalah purposive sampling, dengan sampel kelas XI IPS 1 dan Kelas XI IPS 2. Data diambil dengan tiga metode yaitu tes, angket, dan observasi, dianalisis dengan korelasi product moment dan diskrispi presentasi. Pemanfaatan lingkungan sekitar sebagai sumber belajar dalam penelitian ini mendapatkan tanggapan yang sangat baik dari siswa. Dari penelitian ini diketahui bahwa sumber belajar lingkungan sekitar dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa sebesar 18,7%. Jadi lingkungan sekitar sebagai sumber belajar dapat bermanfaat untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa MA Tarbiyatul Islamiyah pada materi sumber daya alam

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the effectivity of studying geography using problem based learning model to the students learning outcomes and positive responses of student to studying geography that uses problem based learning model. The experimental research done with quarsy experimental design model. Sampling method that used is purposive sampling with XI IPS 2 as experimental class and XI IPS 1 as a control class. Data collecting technique that used is test, questionnaires, observation, and documentation. Analysis data technique that used is normalized gain test and descriptive percentage. The result is: 1) studying geography with problem based learning model is effective to improve students learning outcomes. The cognitive study result in experiment class raised to 0.43 and include to “average” category. The affective and psychomotor study in experiment class is better than control class with “excellent” category. The study result in experiment class are better because of student got a direct experience in studying, so the knowledge that students have aren’t textual, but also more better understanding. 2) the student response to positive learning, include to “very agree” category. The conclusion of this research is problem based learning model is effective to use in studying geography on food security subject Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas pembelajaran geografi menggunakan model problem based learning terhadap hasil belajar siswa dan respon positif siswa terhadap pembelajaran geografi menggunakan model problem based learning. Penelitian eksperimen yang dilakukan menggunakan model quarsy experimental design dengan rancangan nonequivalent control group design. Metode pengumpulan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling dengan sampel kelas XI IPS 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPS 1 sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik dalam pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu test, kuisioner, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji normalized gain dan deskriptif persentase. Hasil penelitian: 1) Pembelajaran geografi menggunakan model problem based learning efektif untuk mengingkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Hasil belajar kognitif siswa di kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan sebesar 0,43 dan masuk kedalam kategori “Sedang”. Hasil belajar afektif dan psikomotorik siswa di kelas eksperimen lebih baik dibandingkan kelas kontrol dengan kategori “sangat baik”. Hasil belajar kelas eksperimen lebih baik karena dalam pembelajaran siswa mendapatkan pengalaman langsung, sehingga pengetahuan yang diperoleh siswa tidak hanya tekstual, namun pemahaman yang lebih luas. 2) Respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran positif, masuk kedalam kategori “sangat setuju”. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah model problem based learning efektif diterapkan dalam pembelajaran geografi materi ketahanan pangan.

Abstract

Education is the most appropriate vehicle in providing knowledge, skills, and attitudes about environmental awareness to humans. One of the educational programs that lead to the effort to instill environmental caring attitude to the students is Adiwiyata Program. The purpose of this study is to know the implementation of Adiwiyata program, the attitude of the students care to the environment and the obstacles in the implementation of the adiwiyata program in SMA Negeri 1 Bandar. The population of this research is all staff of teachers and employees amounting to 53 people and all students of class XI which amounted to 226 students. With Purposive sampling technique obtained class XI IPA 3 and 3 Teachers Adiwiyata team. The data in this research is obtained by using the method of documentation, interview, observation and questionnaire. The data analysis is done by descriptive analysis and scoring. The results showed that the implementation of the adiwiyata program of 4 implemented programs has been implemented in accordance with Adiwiyata school standards according to the criteria of the Ministry of Environment. There are, however, some barriers to lack of funds / budgets for environmental management and protection activities that have not been fully realized and only 20% of RKAS. As much as 83% of students behavior that cares about the school environment has high criteria. Pendidikan merupakan wahana yang paling tepat dalam memberikan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan sikap tentang kepedulian lingkungan kepada manusia. Salah satu program pendidikan yang mengarah pada usaha menanamkan sikap peduli lingkungan pada siswa yaitu Program Adiwiyata. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui implementasi program Adiwiyata, sikap peduli siswa pada lingkungan dan hambatan – hambatan dalam pelaksanaan program adiwiyata di SMA Negeri 1 Bandar. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh staff pengajar dan karyawan yang berjumlah 53 orang serta seluruh siswa kelas XI yang berjumlah 226 siswa. Dengan teknik Purposive sampling diperoleh kelas XI IPA 3 dan 3 guru tim Adiwiyata. Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dengan menggunakan metode dokumentasi, wawancara, observasi dan angket. Anilisis data dilakukan dengan analisis deskriptif dan skoring. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi program adiwiyata dari 4 program yang diterapkan telah dilaksanakan sesuai dengan standar sekolah Adiwiyata menurut kriteria Kementrian Lingkungan Hidup. Namun terdapat beberapa hambatan mengenai kurangnya dana/anggaran untuk kegiatan pengelolaan dan perlindungan lingkungan hidup yang belum sepenuhnya terealisasikan dan hanya 20% dari RKAS. Sebesar 83% perilaku siswa yang peduli terhadap lingkungan sekolah memiliki kriteria yang tinggi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan membuat model pengentasan kemiskinan penduduk perkotaan melalui pelatihan mengolah sampah menjadi material fungsional baru. Penelitian tindakan (action reserach) dilakukan di Kota Semarang. Populasi penelitian adalah penduduk miskin, pengambilan sampel digunakan metode snowball. Data sekunder dari berbagai institusi terkait dan data primer diungkap menggunakan angket, wawancara, dan observasi. Data dianalisis secara keruangan berdasarkan Peta Sebaran Penduduk Miskin dan digunakan Tabel Silang.Pelatihan menggunakan Model Deduktif dan Induktif secara on the job karena penduduk miskin perkotaan belum berpengalaman mengolah sampah menjadi kompos. Analisis usaha membuat kompos didapatkan nilai B/C sebesar 1,098 yang bermakna usaha efisien dan menguntungkan. Pengolahan 1 container truck sampah volume bruto 3-5 ton didapatkan produk kompos sebagai material fungsional baru (MFB) sebesar 0,3 ton per daur.  Harga jual senilai Rp. 250.000,00 berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan pendapatan Rp. 35.000 per hari mampu mengentaskan penduduk miskin ke posisi tidak miskin. Implikasi model pelatihan merupakan tindakan solutif yang edukatif dan mudah dijalankan karena penduduk diberi bekal keterampilan hidup yang berpeluang mengentaskan kemiskinan di perkotaan The purposes of this research to create a model of urban poverty population through waste treatment training to obtain new functional materials. This action research was conducted in Semarang. The research population was the poor residents, using snowball sampling technique. Secondary data was sourced from related institutions and the primary data was exposed by questionnaire, interview, and observation. The data was analyzed in spatial based on the Distribution Map of the Poor and used Crossing-Table. The training was using Deductive and Inductive Models are used on the job because the poor are inexperienced to process waste into compost. Analysis of effort to make compost obtained value of B/C of 1.098 which means efficient and profitable. One truck container 3-5 tons gross volume of product obtained new functional materials (NFM) of 0.3 tonnes worth selling. 250,000.00 affect the increase in revenue to Rp. 35,000 per day from the sale of compost is able to alleviate the poor to non-poor position. Implications of the model training is educational and solution-action easy to implement because residents was given the opportunity of life skills provision alleviate the poverty urban areas.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: 1) To improve the poor citizen’s skill of processing waste into compost, 2) To describethe steps of implementation and socialization of training model based on effectively empowerment to impovepoor citizen’s skill. Action research used in Semarang, socialization used in Pati. Study of population is poorBLSM receiver, sampling was used snowball method. The primary data of observation was taken duringtraining. Descriptive analysis techniques and used of cross table. Sub-model of training On The Job Trainingwith deductive and inductive methods can improve processing skills by 38%. Sustainability empowerment isused on training of sub-model of Off The Job Training- socialization method was used to build the integrityof the knowledge, attitudes, and skills of the poor trainee in improving the quantity and quality of theproduct. The effectiveness of the success of training model is ranging between 53, 75% to 71.75%. Thefindings in this study are implications of theoretical and managerial implications can provide a practicalcontribution to the deductive training management and inductive apprenticeship.

Abstract

Penggunaan lahan di pedesaan sebagian besar dimanfaatkan sebagai areal untuk aktivitas bertani/ pertanian dalam arti sempit maupun dalam arti luas yang meliputi pertanian, perhutanan, peternakan dan perikanan sebagai mata pencaharian mayoritas penduduk. Eksisting lahan sebagai sumber daya merupakan ruang kehidupan berkait erat dengan situasi lingkungan alam di sekitarnya yang harus ditinjau aksesnya terhadap pengaruh cuaca dan iklim (cahaya matahari, curah hujan, angin, erosi, perubahan kondisi iklim, dll.) serta faktor pembentuknya (sebagai akibat kegiatan alam: letusan gugung berapi).Lokasi pada lahan hutan muria. Pemilihan lokasi lapangan (field sites) didasarkan pada beberapa faktor antara lain: a) telah ditetapkan sebagai desa model PHBM, b) mempunyai jumlah petak terbanyak dengan pangkuan luas, c) umur tegakan hutan bervariasi, d) jumlah pesanggem banyak, e) sebagai lokasi Integrated Farming. Pada kedua lokasi dilakukan pembuatan demplot pemodelan sebagai media edukasi dan pendampingan.Pada demplot yaitu monokultur dan polikultur yang merupakan hasil pengkajian kondisi biofisik. Komoditas tanaman pangan di Indonesia ada 7 jenis yakni padi, jagung, kacang tanah, kedelai, kacang hijau, ubi jalar dan ubikayu/ singkong. Hasil analisis data sekunder menunjukkan bahwa kacang hijau dan ubi jalar di Kabupaten Pati merupakan prioritas ke 6 dan ke tujuh (BPS, 2014; 2015; 2015). Tanaman pangan unggulan: kacang tanah, singkong, padi, kedelai, dan jagung. Indikasi keberhasilan pengembangan model PLDT dalam pengentasan kemiskinan dan realisasi ketersediaan pangan dilihat dari aspek sosial, ekonomi, dan keputusan stakesholder. Indikator keberhasilan merupakan sub bagian keberhasilan pembangunan ekonomi non moneter, yakni: pendidikan (pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan sukap), standar hidup layak, angkatan kerja, tingkat konsumsi per kapita, serta akses media massa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model discovery learning berbantu CD interaktif terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dan aktivitas siswa kelas. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu dengan rancangan pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah kelas IV SD. Data dalam penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes pilihan ganda, tes uraian dan lembar observasi. Data dianalisis dengan analisis deskriptif, uji gain score, uji t dan analisis regresi linear ganda. Hasil penelitian: (1) terdapat perbedaan (N-gain=0,75 dalam kategori tinggi) kemampuan berpikir kritis secara signifikan antara siswa yang belajar menggunakan model discovery learning berbantu CD interaktif dengan siswa yang belajar menggunakan metode konvensional, dan (2) ada perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa secara signifikan antara siswa yang belajar menggunakan model discovery learning berbantu CD interaktif dengan siswa yang belajar menggunakan metode konvensional (thitung (8,619) > ttabel (2,021). (3) Peningkatan aktivitas kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol yakni pada pertemuan 1= 64%, pertemuan 2=91%, pertemuan 3=94%, dan (4) Hasil uji regresi menunjukkan rentang antara 0,80-1,000 termasuk kategori sangat kuat. Simpulan penelitian  adalah model discovery learning berbantu CD interaktif mempengaruhi kemampuan berpikir kritis dan aktivitas siswa.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to know the effect of problem-based learning model towards creative thinking skill and students activity. The research was conducted on the social problem material. The research method was Quasi Experimental Design. The sampling technique was cluster random sampling. The data collected in the form of observation sheet instrument of students’ activity and instrument of creative thinking skill. Data were analyzed by using the independent t-test to test the comparasion or difference. In testing the effect, it used N-gain. The results of the research shows that there is a difference of influence of creative thinking skill; it is seen from the average of N-gain pretest and posttest of the students. The result of t-test in the experimental class reveals that the average score of pretest is 51.45, while in the posttest is 87.90, so the experimental group has an improvement of 26%. It is obtained tvalue is higher than ttable (2.917 > 2.000). The achievement of students activity in the experimental class improves, with the average score of observations that reaches very well criteria. The conclusion of this research is the problem-based learning model has an effect on the creative thinking skill and the students activity.
