Abstract

This study determines the improvement of students' creative thinking using problem-based learning models assisted by interactive multimedia on the concept of substance pressure. Research conducted at SMP 2 Mandalawangi, using one-sample classes, class VIII the second semester of 2017/2018 academic year, was held in May 2018. The method used is quantitative research, while the type used is quasi-experimental research, using a one-group pretest-posttest design research design. The instrument used was a test instrument for creative thinking skills in the form of elaboration questions on the concept of pressure. The analyzing data using paired sample t-test or paired sample t-test analysis to see the effect of PBL on creative thinking skills, and n-gain to see an improvement in creative thinking skills. The study gives an increase in students' creative thinking skills. The average value of 41 to 81 with an n-gain of 0.68 or an improved of 68%, which included the medium criteria. Paired sample t-test results indicate that there is an influence of the use of problem-based learning models assisted by interactive multimedia on students' creative thinking skills on the concept of substance pressure.

Abstract

Abstract:  The creative thinking ability test instrument is a form tool to measure student creative thinking skills. This study aims to develop a creative thinking ability test instrument and determine is validity level. The research method used in developing the test instrument is the Borg and Gall development method (1983). The research instrument used in this study was a validation sheet. The results of this study indicate that the research and development process carried out by the researchers is a potential problem, data collection, planning, product design development, design validation, and design revision. The validity level of the creative thinking ability test instrument on the concept of the human excretion system that the researcher developed was in the valid category with a value of 76.94 percent. The test instrument for the ability to think creatively on the concept of the human excretion system is valid for use in student trials. Keywords: Test instrument, creative thinking, excretion system Abstrak: Instrumen tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif merupakan bentuk alat untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan mengetahui tingkat kevalidannya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam mengembangkan instrumen tes adalah metode pengembangan Borg and Gall (1983). Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar validasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa proses penelitian dan pengembangan yang dilakukan peneliti adalah potensi masalah, pengumpulan data, perencanaan, pengembangan desain produk, validasi desain, dan revisi desain. Tingkat kevalidan instrumen tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif  pada konsep sistem ekskresi manusia yang peneliti kembangkan adalah pada kategori valid dengan nilai sebesar 76,94 persen. Abstract

Literasi sangat perlu dikembangkan sejak siswa masih berada pada jenjang pendidikan dasar, apalabi saat ini kemapuan literasi siswa SD sangat lemah yang menuntut guru harus mampu membelajarakan siswa dengan dengan baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Scrapbook Dongeng Fabel. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah R&D (Research and Development) dengan desain penelitian milik Borg dan Gall yang dimodifikasi oleh Sugiyono. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 11 Orang siswa SD, ahli materi, ahli media dan ahli praktisi. Metode pengumpulan data yang diagunkan adaalah angket. Hasil penelitian ini adalah media pembelajaran Scrapbook dongeng fabel terhadap minat literasi baca tulis siswa SD. Berdasarkan hasil uji kelayakan terhadap ahli media diperoleh kriteria sangat layak dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 84,5%. Hasil validasi oleh ahli materi memperoleh kriteria sangat layak dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 84%. Hasil validasi oleh ahli bahasa memperoleh kriteria layak dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 74,15%. Adapun hasil angket respons siswa pada uji coba terbatas memperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 93,3% dengan kriteria sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, media Scrapbook Dongeng Fabel dinyatakan layak untuk digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran siswa kelas II SD.

Abstract

This research aimed to develop a contextual  learning-based audio visual media and its validity. This research utilized Research and Development (R&D) method, referring to Borg and Gall’s development model which consisted of 6 stages: (1) problems’ analysis, (2) data collection, (3) product design, (4) validation, (5) product revisions, and (6) product trials test. The study conducted to four grade students at SD Negeri Salatuhur. Based on the validity examined by the experts, media expert, language expert, and material expert, the average score of the validity from the media expert was 92% with a very feasible category. Then, the average score of the validity from the material expert was 85,49% with a very feasible category. At last, the average score of the validity from the language expert was 94,16% with also in the very feasible category. Moreover, the results of students’ responses obtained a score of 97,49% with a very feasible category. Based on the research results, the final product of a contextual learning-based audio visual media on material of the energy source and its change was feasible to utilized for students’ learning activities at four grade of elementary school.

Abstract

The science learning process has changed from classroom to online education. This leads to blended learning-based learning in a relatively short amount of time today, placing many challenges and burdens on teachers. Motivation to direct the learning process is important to understand how technology can prepare teachers' abilities in the future, which is an integral part of the learning process. This study aims to measure the willingness of elementary schools in different parts of Indonesia to practice blended learning. This study is a descriptive and quantitative study. The survey was conducted although it needs improvement in mastering Technological Knowledge. So it on 64 primary school teachers with 1 to 10 years of teaching experience in 16 states of Indonesia, who are currently training in-service teachers at Sultan Agung Tirtayasa University. The survey results show that the teacher`s ability to use each component in the TPACK is generally categorized as "very good", can be concluded that the elementary school teachers are considered capable of carrying out the blended learning process. This picture can be used as a benchmark for developing the ability of teachers to improve the quality of the quality learning process and coexist with technological developments.

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to determine the increase in student learning outcomes in Mathematics of fourth-grade students at SDN Rawu Serang City, 2020/2021 academic year with the STAD type of cooperative learning model. This research is a classroom action research which is conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely: planning, implementation, evaluation, and reflection. The research subjects were 40 fourth-grade students at SDN Rawu Serang City of 2020/2021 academic year. The data collection in this study was carried out by the test method of the critical thinking ability. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using the formula of quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results of this research indicate that the application of the STAD type of cooperative approach can improve mathematics learning outcomes in the fourth-grade Mathematics subject at SDN Rawu Serang City in the 2020/2021 academic year. It can be seen that the average result of students’ ability in the first cycle increased by 13% and the average result of students ability in the second cycle increased by 17%. Meanwhile, the students learning outcomes have increased as seen from the second post-test result which obtained a score of 80.5 with the high category. So the conclusion of this research is that the application of a cooperative approach of student teams achievement division (STAD) type can increase students’ learning outcomes in Mathematics of fourth-grade students at SDN Rawu Serang City of 2020/2021 academic year.Kata Kunci: STAD Cooperative Learning Model; Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research is to determine the profile of students' learning creativity in thematic learning of the Indonesian Language Subject in the 4th grade at SD Islam Kreatif. The method used is the descriptive method. The sample in this research is the 4th grade students of SD Islam Kreatif with a total of 19 students. The research instrument used is a questionnaire to measure the learning creativity. The creativity indicators are curiosity, imaginative, feeling of challenged, dared to take risks, and respect. Students' learning creativity through the use of podcast-based audio media has a creative profile. Students have learning creativity and show a positive response of 32% with very creative criteria and 68% with creative criteriaKeywords : Creativity; Podcasts; Auditory Learning Style

Abstract

AbstractThis research is motivated by the needs for teaching materials that can explain human digestive system material concretely in the form of comics because with the combination of verbal and nonverbal language in comics can expedite students to understand the contents of the material. The purpose of this research is to describe how the process of developing teaching materials in the form of comics on the concept of the human digestive system for 5th-grade students of elementary schools. The research method used in this research is the research and development method. The data collection techniques used are literature studies and questionnaires, while the data were analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques by analyzing quantitative data and then interpreted in a qualitative. The results of research and development show that the process of comic teaching materials development on the material of the human digestive system goes through six stages namely data analysis, data collection, product design, product design validation, product improvement, and product trials. Moreover, the validity test of comic teaching materials on the concept of the human digestive system has a category of "very feasible" with design test results of 85%, material test results of 90%, and educational test results of 89.3%. While the trial results of 5th-grade students' responses were 88% and included in the criteria of "very good".Keywords: Teaching Material, Comic, Human Digestive System

Abstract

AbstractThis research aimed to identify the profile of a student's academic skills through guided inquiry-based lab work on the concept of the respiratory system in the 11th grade students of SMAN 3 Serang. The methodologhy of this research is descriptive.  The population of this research is students of  11th grade IPA SMAN 3 Serang of the school year 2014/2015 and the sample of the research is 11th grade IPA 7th which obtained by simple random sampling technique. Data was obtained using test description. The results of this research showed that the average value of academic skills 11th grade IPA 7th of SMAN 3 Serang by 77, 7 (good categories), which consists of four aspects: aspects of identifying variables and describing relationship among them (76.5), aspects of formulating hypotheses (75.5), aspects of designing the research (78.4) and aspects of conducting research (80.4) were included in good categories.Keywords: academic skills, guided inquiry-based lab work, respiratory system.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil kecakapan akademik siswa melalui praktikum berbasis inkuiri terbimbing pada konsep sistem pernapasan manusia di kelas XI SMA Negeri 3 Kota Serang. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 3 Kota Serang tahun ajaran 2014/2015 dan sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas XI IPA 7 yang diambil dengan teknik simple random sampling. Data diperoleh dengan menggunakan tes uraian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata kecakapan akademik siswa kelas XI IPA 7 SMA Negeri 3 Kota Serang sebesar 77, 7 (kategori baik), yang terdiri dari empat aspek yaitu aspek mengidentifikasi variabel dan menghubungkan antara satu dengan yang lainnya (76,5), aspek merumuskan hipotesis (75,5), aspek merancang penelitian (78,4) dan aspek  melaksanakan penelitian (80,4) yang termasuk ke dalam kategori baik.Kata kunci: kecakapan akademik, praktikum berbasis inkuiri terbimbing, sistem pernapasan

Abstract

AbstractThe aim of this study was to determine the influence of guided inquiry learning model toward the improvement of students’s scientific literacy in integrated science learning on environmental conservation concept based on local wisdom of Baduy’s society. This study used Research and Development method through pretest and posttest test before and after the guided inquiry learning was done. The objects of this study were 31 students who were following the integrated science lecture in 5th semester which is prospective science teacher. The results showed that there was an improvement in students' scientific literacy after guided inquiry learning (was applied) as shown with a gain value of 0.16 (N-Gain = 0.16) which was included in the medium category. Based on this result, it can be concluded that there is the influence of guided inquiry learning model toward the improvement of students’s scientific literacy in integrated science learning on environmental conservation concept based on local wisdom of Baduy’s society. Keywords: Scientific Literacy, Guided Inquiry, Local Wisdom, Baduy’s Society
