Abstract

Learning carried out during the pandemic is required to develop technology to support student learning effectively. Solutions for students and teachers to carry out learning effectively by using learning media that students can understand independently at home. Learning media that can support students in independent learning are modules. The module usage by educators related to 21st-century skills to balance the world of education in the modern era can collaborate with models, methods, and approaches in learning, one of which is the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) approach. The purpose of this research is to describe the effectiveness of the STEM integrated physics module. The research method is by giving tests to students in the form of pretest and posttest. The subjects of this study were students of MAN 1 Jember class X MIPA 2 as a limited test and X MIPA 3 broad test. Product testing was conducted by researchers using the One Group Pretest-Posttest design. Then analyzed normalized Gain (N-gain) to determine the effectiveness of the module. The results of the analysis of the effectiveness of the module in the limited test obtained an average N-gain of 0.55 in the medium category, while in the broad test it was 0.71 in the high category. Based on the results of the effectiveness analysis that the STEM integrated physics module is in the effective category. Keyword: Module, STEM, efectivity

Abstract

Abstract This research was carried out to improve students' learning outcomes by using students' worksheet based on POE (Predict, Observe, Explain).This research was conducted in class X of SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Jember in the 2019/2020 school acadenic year. This research used experimental research methods. The instruments used in this study were lesson plan, syllabus, students' worksheet based on POE (Predict, Observe, Explain), and post-test question. After analyzing it by comparing with the results of the daily chapter of the previous chapter, it was found that the test scores using LKS based on POE (Predict, Observe, Explain) were higher compared to conventional learning . Thus it can be concluded that class given treatment in the form of learning by using students' worksheet based on POE (Predict, Observe, Explain) has a significant effect on the students' learning outcomes compared to class with conventional learning. Abstract

Abstract: The Covid-19 pandemic has an impact on many things, one of which is education. Changes that occur in the field of education are a learning system that is used as a distance learning system. Physics is a subject that is considered less attractive and tends to be boring. One of the reasons physics is considered boring is the lack of learning media to support physics material, especially digital ones. The purpose of this study was to analyze the responses of Al-Azhar Jember Senior High School students after using physics learning media in the form of an interactive digital physics module based on Articulate Storyline3, the subject of Newton's law about gravity. This research method is a quantitative research method using an instrument in the form of a response questionnaire given to class X MIPA SMA Plus Al-Azhar Jember via the google form page. Based on the research that has been done, it shows that digital physics moul gets a very positive response from respondents. The digital physics module obtained a score of 81, 60% on a limited scale trial and a score of 83.86% on a wide-scale trial. Keywords: digital module, physics learning, students response

Abstract

Atom is the smallest component of a chemical element that cannot be changed chemically. The concept of the atom was put forward by several scientists, one of which was Rutherford. From the results of Rutherford's experiment, it is known that most of the alpha particles fired at a thin gold plate are transmitted or scattered with a small scattering angle. In this study, the effect of incident energy (E) on the scattering cross section (σ) and scattering angle (Θ) will be simulated using Matrix Laboratory (MATLAB). Based on the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that in Rutherford scattering, the greater the scattering angle, the smaller the scattering cross section. This is shown in the graph generated in the Matrix Laboratory (MATLAB) simulation in the form of a decreasing exponential graph.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an Android-based Al-Qur'an integrated physics learning media to improve preservice physics teachers' higher-order thinking skills and spiritual attitudes. The development of learning media uses the ADDIE model. Media and material experts assessed the feasibility of learning media through a validation questionnaire. The trial was carried out on 40 preservice physics teacher students. The validation results were analyzed using a descriptive technique. The analysis results show that the learning media developed is suitable for improving Higher Order Thinking Skills and the Spiritual Attitude of Preservice Physics Teachers. So, the Android-based physics learning media integrated with the Quran can be implemented for preservice physics teachers.

Abstract

Physics is one of the subjects in high school which consists of facts, concepts, principles, laws, postulates, and scientific theories and methodologies. Students consider physics to be difficult because many physics concepts are abstract and difficult to understand. In this case, learning media is needed that can be used to assist teachers in clarifying the material. The purpose of this research is to develop comic visual learning media on atomic physics material. The method used in this research is research and development. Data were obtained from validation assessments by 2 material experts and 2 media experts as well as small group trials with a sample of 10 students. This research was conducted in 2022 at SMA Negeri Klakah. The result of the research is that the visual media of physics comics in terms of the material aspect has an average validity of 3.8 with a very high feasibility category. Judging from the media aspect, the physical comic visual media has an average validity of 3.6 with a very high eligibility category. The results of the trial limited to a small group obtained an average of 3.35 in the practical category. The research concludes that based on the categories of validity and practicality, the visual media of physics comics on atomic physics material that has been developed is very feasible and practical to use in learning Atomic Physics in Class XII Senior High School.

Abstract

ABSTRAKKearifan  lokal  adalah  identitas atau sebuah bentuk dari pengetahuan, wawasan, pemahaman maupun keyakinan serta adat yang dimiliki sebuah bangsa yang memiliki fungsi sebagai penutun manusia dalam berperilaku, mengelola kebudayaan dalam kehidupan di dalam komunitas ekologis. Kearifan lokal yang dekat dengan kehidupan masyarakat diharapkan dapat menjadi sumber belajar bagi siswa termasuk dalam proses pembelajaran fisika. Salah satu bentuk  kearifan lokal yaitu adanya jajanan tradisional. Dawet dan Klepon merupakan salah satu jajanan tradisional yang sudah lama dikenal masyarakat secara turun menurun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis konsep fisika yang ada pada jajanan tradisional yaitu dawet dan klepon. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh dari proses pengolahan Dawet dan Klepon dengan mengidentifikasi konsep–konsep fisika terutama pada konsep tekanan, suhu dan kalor, koagulasi, dan hukum Archimedes. Dengan demikian, analisis konsep fisika pada pembuatan jajanan tradisional dapat dijadikan alternatif sumber belajar yang menarik bagi siswa. Kata kunci: kearifan lokal; konsep fisika; kalor; tekanan; koagulasi ABSTRACTLocal wisdom is an identity or a form of knowledge, insight, understanding as well as beliefs and customs of a nation that has a function as a human guide in behavior, managing culture in life in an ecological community. Learning about local wisdom will help physics learning in understanding its application in everyday life. Dawet and Klepon are traditional snacks that have long been known to the Javanese for generations. This study aims to analyze the physical concepts that exist in traditional snacks, namely dawet and klepon. This research is a phenomenological qualitative research, where this research uses triangulation techniques, namely by using observations and interviews accompanied by documentation. The results of this study were obtained from the processing of Dawet and Klepon by identifying the concepts of physics, especially on pressure, temperature and heat, coagulation, precipitation and Archimides' Law. keywords: local culture; physics concepts; heat; pressure; coagulation

Abstract

ABSTRAKFisika merupakan ilmu pengetahuan yang berperan penting dalam berkembangnya teknologi. Kemampuan siswa sendiri tidak hanya dinilai dari seberapa hafal siswa pada materi, namun juga kemampuan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep yang telah diajarkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemahaman konsep siswa SMA kelas XII di Jember pada materi spektrum atom. Sehingga dapat diketahui tingkat pemahaman konsep peserta didik serta kemampuan untuk menyelesaikan persoalan materi spektrum atom. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survey dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Uji coba instrumen tes yang dilakukan di kelas XII MIPA beberapa sekolah, yaitu SMAN 2 Tanggul, SMAN 1 Tanggul, dan SMAN 3 Jember. Tes pemahaman konsep dibuat dalam format google formulir yang disebarkan kepada peserta didik dengan bantuan guru pengampu mata pelajaran fisika kelas XII MIPA dengan jumlah 100 peserta didik. Tes pemahaman konsep dibuat dalam format google formulir yang disebarkan kepada peserta didik dengan bantuan guru pengampu mata pelajaran fisika kelas XII MIPA. Hasil rata rata yang didapatkan oleh peserta didik adalah sebesar 57,8% sehingga dapat dikategorikan bahwa peserta didik yang menjawab benar setiap pertanyaan memiliki kemampuan pemahaman konsep yang sedang. Pemahaman konsep tertinggi siswa yakni pada proses mencontohkan dengan persentase 64,5%. Sedangkan pemahaman konsep terendah yakni menafsirkan dengan persentase 54,5 %. Kata kunci: spektrum atom; pemahaman konsep. ABSTRACTPhysics is a science that plays an important role in the development of technology. The ability of students themselves is not only judged by how memorized the students are in the material, but also the ability of students to understand the concepts that have been taught. This study aims to analyze the understanding of the concept of class XII high school students in Jember on the atomic spectrum material. So that it can be seen the level of understanding of students' concepts and the ability to solve atomic spectrum material problems. The research method used is a survey with a quantitative approach. The test instrument trials were carried out in class XII MIPA in several schools, namely SMAN 2 Tanggul, SMAN 1 Tanggul, and SMAN 3 Jember. The concept understanding test was made in a google form format which was distributed to students with the help of a physics teacher for class XII MIPA with a total of 100 students. The concept understanding test was made in a google form format which was distributed to students with the help of a physics class XII MIPA teacher. The average result obtained by students is 57.8% so that it can be categorized that students who answer correctly each question have moderate conceptual understanding abilities. The students' highest concept understanding is in the process of giving examples with a presentationof 64.5%. Abstract

In the 21st century, an educational institution needs to consider coverage graduates that success is not confined to academic ability, but more to the abilities and skills that will help graduates to compete in a global and digital world today. An important skill to have in the digital age, such as critical thinking skills, problem-solving, creativity, ability to communicate and collaborate as well as having the ability in information technology.This study conducted to describe the learning outcome and response of students with the use of science teaching material that integrated STEAM education and based on Jember’s local wisdom. The design of development by using a model of ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate). This research has done in MTs. Bustanul Ulum, Jember in class VII A with 25 sample. The results of the validation average of 4.31 by experts 1, and 4.09 by experts 2. The results of students’ cognitive and psychomotor are 73.84 and 91.8. The average score of student’s response is 0.91. It means the teaching materials that developed is very valid, the value of the cognitive is good enough, the psychomotor is very high and the given of response is very positive, so the teaching materials are feasible to implement and this teaching materials can improved performance and student’s motivation to learn.

Abstract

ABSTRAK   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan pemahaman konsep materi fisika model atom yang telah dipelajari sebelumnya berdasarkan tujuh indikator pemahaman konsep Anderson dengan subjek 50 siswa kelas XII MAN 1 Banyuwangi dan 50 siswa kelas XII MAN 3 Banyuwangi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survey dengan mengumpulkan dan menganalisis data secara langsung dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes pemahaman konsep berupa 14 butir soal yang disusun berdasarkan tujuh indikator pemahaman konsep Anderson yang sebelumnya telah divalidasi oleh validator. Langkah dalam menganalisis data hasil penelitian yaitu dengan menggunakan rumus persentase deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa MAN 3 Banyuwangi unggul dalam nilai rata-rata dengan persentase sebesar 63,3%. Pada 7 indikator pemahaman konsep, MAN 1 Banyuwangi unggul pada indicator Interpretting, Infering, dan Comparing dengan persentase berturut-turut sebesar 33%, 54%, dan 47%. MAN 3 Banyuwangi unggul pada indikator Classifying, Exemplifying, Explaining, dan Summarizing dengan persentase berturut-turut sebesar 61%, 89%, 80%, dan 70%. Hasil penelitian secara keseluruhan menunjukkan rata-rata kategori rendah. Dengan demikian, maka diperlukan upaya yang dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa seperti penggunaan media pembelajaran.   Kata  kunci: Model Atom, Pembelajaran Fisika, Pemahaman Konseptual   ABSTRACT   This study aims to compare the understanding of the concept of atomic model physics material that has been studied previously based on seven indicators of Anderson's concept understanding with the subject of 50 students of class XII MAN 1 Banyuwangi and 50 students of class XII MAN 3 Banyuwangi. The results of the research as a whole show the average category is low.
