Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to improve learning process and increase student’s mathematical achievement through implementation of Discovery Learning model. This type of research is Classroom Action Research with two cycle. The research was conducted in class XI science 2 SMA Negeri 1 Tempuling in the first semester of the 2018/2019 academic year. The subject of this research consist of 27 students, there are 13 female students and 14 male students. The research instrument consists of learning materials and instruments for collecting data. Learning materials used in this research are the Syllabus, Lesson Plan and student worksheets. Instrument data collectors used in this research are observation sheet and mathematical achievement test. Data analysis techniques in this study are descriptive narrative analysis of qualitative data and descriptive statistics analysis ofquantitative data. The percentage of students which ispass Minimum Mastery Crieria (MMC) increase from 44,4% to 55,6% at the first test and to 77,8% at the second test. This research concludes that the implementation of Discovery Learning model improved the learning process and the student’s mathematical achievement at class class XI science 2 SMA Negeri 1 Tempuling in the first semester of the 2018/2019 academic year.Key Words : Mathematics Learning Achievement, Discovery Learning Model, Classroom Action Research

Abstract

Abstract: The background of this research is the result of learning mathematics of class student VIIIA SMP Negeri 3 Sungai Apit which is still under the minimum mastery criteria with a persentage of 42 % only 8 students from 19 students who achieve the minimum mastery criteria on the subject matter of the two variable linear equation system. The purpose of this research aims to improve the learning process and increase the student’s mathematics learning outcomes through the implementation of Cooperative learning structured approach Numbered Heads Together. This type of research is the Classroom Action Research with two cycle, who conducted in class VIIIA SMP Negeri 3 Sungai Apit in the second semester of the 2017/2018 academic year. Research subject as many 19 students, consist of 10 boys and 9 girls. The research instrument consists of learning devices and instrument data collectors. Learning device used is Syllabus, Lesson Plan and Worksheet. The instrument data collector used in this research is the observation sheet and math achievement test. The observation sheet was analyzed whit descriptive qualitative while the test of mathematics learning outcomes was analyzed statistically. Based on deskriptive qualitative analiysis showed that implementation of learning process on cycle II had happened improvement from implementation on cycle I. Weakness on cycle I is improved on implementation cycle II according with planning of improvement after reflection cycle I. Number of students that reach Minimum Mastery Criteria increase from basic score to daily test II. The number of students who reach Minimum Mastery Criteria on basic scor, daily test I and daily test IIare respectively 8 person (42 %), 11 person (58 %) and 14 person (74 %). Results of this research indicates that application of the Cooperative learning structured approach Numbered Heads Together can improve learning process and increase mathematics learning outcomes from the students at class VIIIA SMP Negeri 3 Sungai Apit in the second semester academic years 2017/2018.Key words: Students’ Math Achievement, Cooperative Learning Structural Approach ofNumbered Heads Together, Classroom Action Research.

Abstract

Abstract : The 2013 curriculum is a curriculum that directs students to be actively in the learning process. This research is based on the limited reference of teachers to develop learning devices that are corresponding with the 2013 Curriculum. This research aims to produce learning devices in the form of Syllabus, Learning Implementation Plans (RPP), and Student Worksheets (LKPD) with the Discovery Learning model on the flat side space subject 8th grade student of Junior High School that meet valid and practical requirements. The development model in this research is 4-D with the steps are Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate. The learning device products that have been made are validated by three validators. The average analysis result of the Syllabus validation data is 3.56 in the very valid category which means that the Syllabus is feasible to use and the average value for the RPP is 3.59 and LKPD is 3.64 in the very valid category which means that the RPP and LKPD are worth testing. Valid learning devices have been tested on small groups and large groups. The average results of the analysis of small group trial data is 3.42 and large group trial data is 3.30 which shows a very practical category. The average results of the analysis of observational data on the implementation of learning corresponding to the lesson plan is 2.95, including a very practical category which means that the lesson plan and worksheet are feasible to be used in schools.Key Words: Mathematics Learning Devices, 2013 Curriculum, Discovery Learning, Scientific.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is classroom action research that aims to improve learning process and to increase mathematics achievement with applied the learning cooperative technique Think Pair Share (TPS) model. The research consist of two cycles, each cycle has four stages, which are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection.The research subject of this research is student of class VIII3 SMPN 17 Pekanbaru in academic years 2018/2019, which amounted to 39 students, consist of 23 boys and 16 girls. The instruments of data collection in this research were observation sheets and students Mathematic tests. The observation sheets were analyzed in qualitative descriptive, while the students’ Mathematic tests were in quantitative descriptive. The qualitative descriptive showed an improvement of learning process prior to the action on the first and second cycle. Most of students were very confidenced and actived in learning process, such as while they were finished mathemathic’s problems that given, presenting the result of problems and giving the conclusion of learning. Number of students that reach Minimum Mastery Criteria increase from basic score to first test I and II. The results of this research showed an increasing number of students learning mathematics about knowledge of the basic score (43,59%)to the first test (56,41%) to the second test II (61,53%). For the skills of basic score (38,46%) to the first test (43,59%) to the second test (64,10%), Results of this research indicates that appication of the learning cooperative technique Think Pair Share (TPS) model can improve learning process and increase mathematics achievement from the students at class VIII3 SMPN 17 Pekanbaru the second academic years 2018/2019 for the subject matter Circle.Key Words : Mathematics Achievement, Learning Cooprative Technique Think Pair Share (TPS)

Abstract

Abstract: The background of this study is still low mathematics learning outcomes third grade students of SDN 12 Bunga Raya. This study is to improve learning outcomes math third grade students of SDN 12 Bungaraya with the application of cooperative learning model type STAD. Subjects of this study is the third grade students of SDN 12 Bungaraya Siak. The number of third grade students of SDN 12 Bungaraya at Academic Year 2015-2016 many as 32 students, consisting of 13 boys and 19 girls. This research is a class act with two siklus.Setiap cycle has four stages including planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The research instrument consists of a learning device that syllabus, lesson plans and worksheets. Results showed activity in accordance with the planning of teachers and students have also become accustomed to learning model set by the teacher. Students participate actively in group discussions. Students also were more confident to perform in front of the class. Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded that the application of cooperative learning model STAD can improve the learning process and can improve learning outcomes math third grade students of SDN 12 Bunga Raya in the subject matter of measuring instruments semester of the 2015/2016 academic year.Keywords: Math Learning Outcomes, Learning Process, STAD Cooperative Learning, Action Research.

Abstract

This type of research is Classroom Action Research with two cycle. The research was conducted in class X Social 2 MA Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru in the second semester of the 2017/2018 academic year. The subject of this research consist of 14 boys. The research instrument consists of learning materials and instruments for collecting data. Learning materials used in this research are the Syllabus, Lesson Plan and Activity Sheets. Instrument data collectors used in this research are observation sheet and mathematical achievement test. Data analysis techniques in this study are descriptive narrative analysis of qualitative data and descriptive statistics analysis of quantitative data. The result of this research showed that the implementation of PBL improved the student’s mathematical achievement. The percentage of students which is pass Minimum Mastery Crieria (MMC) increase from 14,28% to 35,17% at the first test and to 57,14% at the second test. This research concludes that the implementation of PBL improved the learning process and the student’s mathematical achievement at class X Social 2 MA Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru. PBL model can be used as an alternative to learning, because through this learning can improve the learning process and mathematical achievement of the students.Key Words: Classroom Action Research, Problem Based Learning models, Learning outcomes,Learning Process,

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran matematika (berupa silabus, rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran, dan lembar aktivitas siswa terkait materi sistem persamaan linier tiga variabel) berbasis problem based learning yang valid juga praktis. Penelitian menggunakan model pengembangan 4-D (Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate). Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA N 2 Rokan IV Koto pada tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik kuisioner lembar angket validitas dan angket praktikalitas. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif berupa rata-rata dan persentase rata-rata. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan dan analisis data, diperoleh bahwa skor rata-rata validitas silabus adalah 3,67, skor rata-rata validitas RPP adalah 3,81, dan skor hasil rata-rata validitas LAS adalah 3,79, sehingga perangkat pembelajaran matematika yang telah dikembangkan dikategorikan sangat valid. Persentase rata-rata kepraktisan LAS adalah 89,63% dengan kategori sangat praktis.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan tujuan menghasilkan suatu perangkat pembelajaran yang sejalan dengan kurikulum 2013. Perangkat pembelajaran yang dimaksud dalam penelitian ini berupa Silabus, Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP), dan Lembar Aktivitas Siswa (LAS). Model pegembangan yang digunakan adalah model ADDIE, yaitu analysis, design, development, implementation, dan evaluation. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik validasi dan angket respon siswa. Perangkat yang telah dikembangkan kemudian divalidasi oleh tiga orang validator. Setelah hasil validasi dianalisis diperoleh rata-rata penilaian: (1) Silabus sebesar 3.70 dengan kategori sangat valid; (2) RPP sebesar 3.84 dengan kategori sangat valid; (3) dan LAS sebesar 3.85 dengan kategori sangat valid. Selanjunya LAS diujicobakan pada enam siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 42 Pekanbaru dengan hasil ujicoba adalah 84.70 dengan kategori sangat praktis. Dari hasil analisis diperoleh bahwa pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran model Discovery Learning berbasis Pembelajaran Matematika Realistik pada materi Garis Singgung Lingkaran kelas VIII SMP/MTs memenuhi syarat valid dan praktis untuk digunakan di SMP/MTs.

Abstract

Kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan gaya kognitif merupakan dua hal yang penting dalam pembelajaran matematika. Begitu juga dengan materi program linier. Ketiga hal ini bisa dimaksimalkan melalui penggunaan buku ajar. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk melihat pengaruh penggunaan buku ajar program linier terintegrasi keislaman terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis berdasarkan gaya kognitif. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa soal tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis, soal tes gaya kognitif, angket respon mahasiswa terhadap konten materi keislaman yang terdapat pada buku ajar, angket validasi instrumen soal tes dan angket validasi instrumen angket respon mahasiswa. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji anova dua arah dengan terlebih dahulu melakukan uji normalitas dan homogenitas menggunakan bantuan software SPSS. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa memberikan respon yang positif terhadap penggunaan buku ajar dan kemampuan komunikasi matematis mahasiswa field independent lebih baik daripada mahasiswa field dependent, dimana hal ini sejalan dengan konsep bahwa individu field independent lebih analitik dibandingkan individu filed dependent. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh pada penelitian ini yaitu: (1) terdapat perbedaan kemampuan komunikasi matematis antara mahasiswa yang belajar menggunakan buku ajar program linier terintegrasi keislaman dengan mahasiswa yang belajar menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional; (2) terdapat perbedaan kemampuan komunikasi matematis antara mahasiswa dengan gaya kognitif field dependent dan field independent; dan (3) tidak terdapat interaksi antara penggunaan buku ajar dan gaya kognitif terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis mahasiswa.

Abstract

This research aimed to improve the learning process and improved the student’s mathematic achievement through the implementation of problem based learning. The research was the classroom action research with two cycles. The research was conducted in student of class VII3 SMPN 4 Pekanbaru in odd semester of the 2018/2019 academic year with the subject is 38 students. The research instruments consist of learning devices and data collector instrument. Learning devices consists of the syllabus, lesson plan and student worksheet. The data collector instrument consists of the observation sheet and mathematics test. Technique of data analysis is analysis of narrative descriptive and analysis of statistical descriptive. The result of the research show that the learning process has improved and the student’s mathematic achievement has improved after applying the problem based learning model. The percentage of student who achieve minimal completeness criteria on first cycle was 68,42% and the second cycle was 78,94% which greater than the percentage of student who achieve minimal completeness criteria before implementation of problem based learning that only 44,73%. Therefore, the problem based learning can be used as an alternative in learning.
